Hi,
I am using Adobe Flash CS3 in windows server 2003 SP2.
I get an issue while publishing. Its publishing flas for some time and at some point of time, fails throwing flash encountered some problem and stops publishing there after.I am calling Flash through exec task in ant build script. Below error is thrown when its called -
[exec] Result: -1073741819
In the event viewer -> application  -I see the application error -
Faulting application flash.exe, version 9.0.0.494, faulting module flash.exe, version 9.0.0.494, fault address 0x001a39b1.
Any idea why flash stops publishing inbetween everytime?
Thanks in advance

I was told by Adobe there wasn’t any help for
“free” (Flash Player) products. Explaining that my
company was a paid user of other Adobe products i.e. Dreamweaver,
got me transferred to Tech Support who claimed there weren’t
any known Flash crash issues and I was then directed to the basic
    Self-Help FAQ web page…
Each FP uninstall, restart, reinstall, then redial and remain
on hold with Adobe resulted in the same response: “it’s
not a Flash problem – it must be a problem with your
computer”. The last tech support guy, just before he closed
my case #, recommended I switch from Internet Explorer to FireFox
    as the solution.
My XP desktop and Vista laptop have the same issue: open a
web page in IE7 that contains an embedded Flash video and IE
crashes. This forum and more than 600K Google hits for “flash
crash ie7” should indicate this is NOT an isolated issue nor
just a “problem with my computer”.
Adobe should get real and quit with the “try this and
try that” wasting of people’s time and fix this
problem. Getting a case number to be told to switch to FireFox is
    not a solution.

  • Adobe Flash crashes, continually causes Firefox 13.0.1 to crash

Firefox continually crashes (approx. 6-8 times a day or more) due to Adobe Flash player crashing.
I'm running Firefox 13.0.1 and Adobe Flash 11.3.300.262
I noticed that since the second-to-last update of Flash Firefox has been crashing a lot. Before that Firefox crashed 'only' once a day or so.
Over the past few months I've read just about every thread related to Flash & Firefox and I'm not about to spend hours troubleshooting stuff, trying to disable hardware acceleration, etc, etc. I've done that before when the Flash-crash issue started a couple of months ago. (Also, Firefox is sometimes sending you automated crash reports, so you should have that data.) I would expect Firefox to simply "work" reasonably well, and as of the past couple of months or so, it hasn't.
W.T.F, Mozilla? I've used your browsers (Netscape) since the early 90s and have been quite happy - until recently, that is. As of now I'm having to go back to using Internet Explorer.
I sincerely hope Mozilla can finally resolve this issue as I still believe Firefox could be a great browser if it didn't "fight" with Flash all the time.

whatev, For issues using full-screen mode, turn off hardware acceleration in your [http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html Flash Player display settings]:
#Right-click on any Flash video or animation (or on the Flash logo on [http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues this Adobe help page]).
#Click "Settings" and uncheck “Enable hardware acceleration" in the Display tab.
This isn't the best workaround since the setting may not hold, for example, if you clear all cookies in Firefox or with an extension such as BetterPrivacy. Updating your display driver would be the best solution,

Did you reinstall CS3 after CC?
For that matter, doing an in-place upgrade on the OS is always a gamble with Adobe programs. Reinstalling all the versions you need, in order, would probably solve your problem.
And you shouldn't need to save as IDML after opening the .inx in CC.

  • Dreamweaver/ Flash & Server issue

The issue I am having is:
    * When a new .HTM page is created, no flash will play.
Anything newly uploaded on the server or anything that has been
    uploaded in the past.
    * When I save from another .HTM file, only the newly uploaded
flash will not play, yet the old will.
Everything works fine locally, just not on the site server.
My partner noticed that there is some Javascript at the bottom of
the page (that we did not add), even when a new page is created or
if the code is deleted it comes back. I called where we host and
they explained that Dreamweaver adds the code to make the Flash
play locally, and it's something with the way Plesk handles it that
it won't work from the server. All I have to do is go into Plesk
and delete the code, and everything will work fine. I've tried
deleting all of it, parts of it, and I can't seem to make the flash
    movie play.
Has anyone experienced anything like this and have some sort
of a solution? If someone can aid me in what exactly I need to
delete, or some other way to fix it... The problem started today
for us seemingly out of nowhere.
Myself and my partner are both working from CS3, I am working
from Windows XP Pro and he is working from a Mac.
Below are links to the troublesome pages. The Java shows at
the bottom of the repurposed page and an added line before
    "</head>" at the top.

Most likely you have failed to upload the javascript required
    by the Flash
insertion. Let's see the page and we'll tell you.

  • Flash crashes iMac?

Hi, I have an early 2008 24 inch iMac, 3.06GHz C2D, 4G Ram,OSX 10.8.2. I read a lot in this forum regarding Flash crashes iMac. It happens to me recently when I watch CNN news video, my iMac would shutdown unexpectedly. I beleive that CNN video uses Flash plugin, that might be the issue, but what I don't understand is that I can watch Hulu movies for hours without any issues, doesn't Hulu uses Flash as well? Perhaps some web engineer at CNN uses Flash the wrong way?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.

  • Flash Crashes on clicking import to stage

I'm having an issue with a blank open document, clicking on 'import to stage' will crash the program or clicking on 'import to library' will crash the program.  I have tried uninstalling CS4 and re-installing CS4. The problem remains the same.
    Any ideas, I'm desparate.
    Thanks.

    Hi Peter,
Thanks for the reply, and yes I can copy and paste. I did find a post that
mentioned compatibility mode which I did try and it cleared everything up.
The strange part to this is that everything worked fine until a few days
ago. I think it may have to do with all the security patches that the
company I work for jams down our systems on what seems like a weekly
basis. But thanks for the reply, I do appreciate it.

Will it crash if you try copy/paste?
Have you applied the latest patches/upgrades?

  • Flash Crashing... CS4

Okay Adobe, I purchased CS3 and Acrobat didn't work. So you
forced me to purchase 3.3 just to get a piece of software that
should have worked with CS3. Now I'm having the same type of
problem with CS4. Flash crashes over 15 times a day and it's really
effecting my workflow. There's no fix and tech support has no idea.
I've been working with a senior engineer and they don't know how to
fix this either. It's been going on for months. I have inside
information that they are making a dot release to fix these issues
of crashing. They are also going to charge extra for it just like
CS3.3. How is this right? If someone else made Flash and I weren't
a full Flash development company then I would use another
company!!! This is crap! If this is the case I will never pay for
another piece of software from Adobe.
If you advertise your software as compatitble with my
computer and I spend $2600 on the software, it should work. I
shouldn't have to come back 6 months later and pay an additional
amount to pay for your mistakes!
If you're having this problem, contact me, I'm taking action.
Macromedia would have never behaved like this. It's very poor
    business practice!
An Adobe wonders why so many people steal their software,
they're probably tired of getting ripped off, like me, twice!!!
Google this - flash cs4 crashing during publish - and you'll
see it's not just me. However their tech support just had me
purchase $600 more in video cards because they said it was my cards
and I was the only one anywhere having this issue, NOPE!!! New
cards = still crashing... And both sets of cards are on the CS4
    page of recommended cards!!!

    What's changed on your system?
Can you post a crash report?

  • Adobe Flash Crashes, no sound.

    Hello,
I am constantly battling Flash, and resetting my computer because the sound will abruptly stop working. I was hoping that someone could provide some insight. I am currently running Windows 7 64bit, and flash crashes on all of the web browsers that I have (latest versions of Firefox, IE and Chrome).
I am unsure if this is related or not, but the sound will abruptly stop working for my Steam Games as well as Spotify. Are these adobe based systems as well? Other programs, such as Diablo III work just fine with no sound issues what-so-ever.

  • Flash/Shockwave issues. How to deal?

    Hello,
So I was using Opera web browser for a while now. As soon as the new version of flash player came out, it is not recognizing it. I have been prompted to download the latest version of Flash over and over. So, I uninstalled OPERA and installed Google Chrome &amp; tested a few others . The issue was that this and all other related Google web browsers were having Shockwave/flash crashes. This happens every time a you tube video is played.....
Hope there is a solution to this. Thanks 2 anyone who would be able to assist!

Here's the FAQ with a link to our archived Flash Player versions
Where do I find previous versions of Flash Player?
I'd recommend following the "clean install" procedures listed out in this FAQ
How do I do a clean install of Flash Player?
    Chris

  • Adobe Flash crashes and other questions about Flash

There have been several instances of Adobe Flash crashes whether I am using Firefox, IE or Google Chrome browsers - and simply reloading the page corrects this BUT recurs again and again.
I'm running Windows 8.1 64bit in which the Flash program apparently comes embedded in the OS as a 32/64 bit hybrid. When I inspect the Flash version add-on in Firefox, and run an update check, Adobe reports, correctly, that my system is Windows 64bit , English, Firefox. Then, when I do the same in Windows Internet Explorer by checking the embedded version, I get a message that KB2999249 is available for download to correct Flash issues in IE. Since that install, Flash hasn't crashed in IE [yet].
So, my question is: How can I be certain that when Firefox reports that Flash is "up-to-date" that it is indeed a 64bit compatible version? Note that the Adobe download site only identifies one available version for Firefox, IE and Google - the current version being 15.0.0.152 file: NPSWF32_15_0_0_152.
Does the "32" part of the file name suggest that it is a 32bit application and, if so, where can I find NPSWF64_15_o_o_152 [if it exists]?
''edited the title of this thread to reflect the questions asked''

I now understand the version nuances between the browsers and thanks for the response. Now what, if anything, can I do to address the continuum of Flash crashes since I find it difficult to believe that I'm the only user experiencing this anomaly?

  • Adobe flash crashes only in Firefox.

This is driving me nuts. Adobe flash crashes every time in multiple sites. I have reset Firefox, uninstalled every add on to test them. Right now there are no add on's (post resetting Firefox).
Going down the list of fixes here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/adobe-flash-plugin-has-crashed
-Yes, the plugins are all up to date
-I cannot disable acceleration because if I right click on the red box (located here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues), I get the message that the shockwave flash plugin is busy or ahs stopped working
    Help!

I'm not seeing the plugin-container or the Flash plugin in the screenshot.
You would have to check when page that uses Flash is open.
You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:
*check for updates for your graphics drive drivers<br>https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
*disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

  • Flash crash with Facebook Scrabble

    Flash Crash with Facebook Scrabble
I've grown accustomed to Facebook Scrabble crashing the Safari on my MacBook at least once or twice a day.
I noticed that a friend, whose MacBook's OS is updated but has never updated Flash, mentioned that their machine never crashes.
My daughter used my computer last night and when Safari crashed she said that she's never seen that before. I assume that her MacBook, similarly, never updated Flash.
I don't know if this is a meaningful pattern, or not, but it appears that my computer, fully up to date with the most current Flash version, crashes repeatedly, but Macbooks with (presumably) older versions, never having upgraded are stable.
Is it possible to get an older version of Flash?

Thanks for your reply. I can only speak of Flash Player in general, since I work with PC's. My sister has an iMac and I know there is a "finder" and a "Library", so you can see my knowledge is very very limited. Having said that, it may be helpful for you to find out what version of Flash Player the others have. If you have the latest (10.0.45.2) then that would give you some info to compare to.
Then I wouldn't judge Safari or the Flash Player version by just one website. If that is happening, it could be that the website has not updated and may not support the latest version of Flash Player which I assume you have Installed.
Should it be happening on various websites, then you could assume something like an add on is conflicting. Adblock or pop up blocker software can actually block Flash content. An Anti-Virus component can as well. Perhaps you can compare add ons with the others that aren't having a problem.
I can say that many users of the PC have issues with Facebook and the various games. You may want to contact either one and ask if they support vs 10.0.45.2. Others have done so and the response varies as to their opinion as to the cause.
I hope this will give you some direction that you can take to find a solution. One final bit of info. Let's say Facebook supports the latest version and you don't have any adblock or pop up blocking software and all of your Flash files are Installed correctly. With a PC, in IE, an ActiveX Control is needed to work with the Flash files. In Firefox the SWF is needed.
    Thanks,
    eidnolb

  • Flash crashes when opening certain file

    Hey Guys,
I need some big help here...I have been working on the same file for the past several weeks and now when I open it, flash crashes. I have tried opening it on multiple systems with different operating systems. Nothing is working. Any ideas?
    I am using CS4 on a MAC.
    Thanks!

    Hi Joseph,
I've looked into your file and it looks like what ever you have on Layer 7 causes Flash to crash. Once I remove that layer then the file open without issue. If you want a copy of the restored file, please send me an email at [email protected] Make sure to include a link to this thread in your email so I can relate back to this message.
    Thanks,
    Quynh

  • Flash Crashing Browsers: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)

    Hi everyone,
I've been having problems with Flash crashing both Firefox and Safari for some time now. I've archived and installed, erased and installed, installed OnyX and "cleaned" per a now closed thread here on the same topic... my last resort is to replace the RAM.
I'm sure someone else has had this problem and I'm really hoping that someone has figured out how to fix it (short of replacing hardware, of course).
Here is the complete crash report from Home> Library> Crash Reporter in case it helps. If you have any suggestions please let me know! Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for any insight.
