Flash crashes every time in Firefox 27.0.1 on Windows 8.1

Flash crashes every time it tries to load in Firefox. I've tried safe mode with extensions disabled, and it still crashes. I tried disabling protected mode, upgrading to the latest version of Flash, and downgrading to 11.7. I also have updated my video drivers to the latest versions. None of those things helped. Flash works fine in Chrome, though.
Has anyone else had this problem, and have any idea how to fix it?

Flash Player™ works in Chrome® because Chrome® has a proprietary plug-in which Google® modifies and embeds in the browser.
If you've "been through the works" with troubleshooting Flash Player™, try resetting Firefox® (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems). You'll be surprised what that'll fix.
You should alwasys use the latest Flash Player™ and I'd recommend reinstalling it using the FULL installer: Flash Player™ 12.0.0.70 Plug-in (All other browsers)... but use the Flash Player™ Uninstaller to remove the old one.

  • Adobe Flash crashing every time - Mac/Firefox

Every time I try to use something that runs Flash, it crashes. I'm running Firefox 5.0 on a MacBook Pro, and I just updated both Flash and Firefox following Mozilla's instructions to try both if Flash kept crashing. It still won't work. I'm trying to upload pictures to my Flickr account and when it tries to open Flash so I can select my pictures, it crashes immediately. Using the Flickr Downloadr has the same result.
I've been having problems with PSE 9 crashing lately as well, ever since I got a new camera and have been editing .NEF image files. Any chance these issues are related?
In any case, can someone help me get Flash to stop crashing?

Glad Safari is working; it is isn't it? What about FF? Did it pass the "test"?
    Let me know.
    Thanks,

yes. I am having this problem and I think it is both ABSURD and RIDICULOUS because Adobe CS6 works fine.

  • Flash crashes every time I try to use Bickham font

Flash 8 Professional instantly crashes every time I attempt
to use Bickham font or try to change a font to Bickham. Obv I'll
just import a graphic of what I need from Photoshop, but I was
wondering if anyone has the same problem? Is there a trick one can
do to prevent this from happening?

Do other programs have similar issues displaying that font?
    If so, than
maybe the font file is corrupted somehow, and you should try
    to reinstall
    the font.

  • Please respond. InDesign CC crashes every time I quit. I'm on Windows 7. (edit)

InDesign CC crashes every time I quit. Prefs are not saved. I'm on Windows 7. I've rebuilt the prefs several times. Crash on quit happens on InD CC 64 and InD CC. In Windows, Batang is part of a "collection"; Batang, BatangChe, Gungsuh, and GungsuhChe and is a system protected font. Hard to remove. Is Batang the problem on Windows as well as Mac?
Edit: I have not uninstalled CS6, so I'm running both versions. I doubt that this could make any difference, but who knows.

  • Safari crashing every time I make a new tab or window.

Hello; this is my third post to these forums. The first one helped me and the second one garnered no responses. Anyways, I am here with a question. My safari crashes every time I make a new window or tab. I have created a pastebin of the crash log.
    http://pastebin.com/5EZEX3z1
    Please help!

Does a new or Guest user have the same problems ?.
If not, try resetting Safari, especially the 'remove all website data' part.
    Do note from https://appleseed.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/faq

Yes, the pre-release software is Apple confidential information. For example, don’t install the pre-release Apple software on any systems you don't directly control or that you share with others, don’t blog, post screen shots, tweet or publicly post information about the pre-release Apple software, and don't discuss the pre-release Apple software with or demonstrate it to others who are not in the OS X Beta Seed Program.

  • Flash Player crashes every time in Firefox

Hello everybody, hope this is the right section of the forum, if it's not, please move this discussion to an appropriate forum.
I'm using Windows 8 x64 since some months (it's release to MSDN since september) and I never had problems with Flash Player with Firefox. Since some weeks, every time I reload/open a page which contains some flash player content, Firefox freezes for some seconds, and the small wheel of the mouse pointer cames out for a few seconds, then it stops, then it reappears again. It continues for 4-5 times, than it stops, and FF says that the Flash Player plugin has stopped working. If I take a look to the processes under Task Manager, I can see that the two processes called "Adobe flash player r502 etc..." (or something like this) are closed and reopened 4-5 times, and then it stops working when FF shows the error message. What I've tried:
    1) Completely uninstalling Flash player and Reinstalling it.
    2) Install a previous version, nothing.
    3) Install the beta version 11.6, nothing. (At the beginning I was using the 11.5 version).
    4) Start FF in safe mode (so with all of the plugins disabled).
I don't know how to solve the problem. Can someone help me? It's very annoying that I have every time to wait about 10 secs to click on something because flash player tries reopening by itself and then crashes again...
    Thank you so much.

I have the same problem. Latest version Firefox and Flash, and the plugin causes Firefox to freeze all the time on one of my computers. It does so even if I uninstall and reinstall, if I reboot, etc. At times I can get through a few pages, but once the problem happens it seems to really happen on nearly every web page with Flash on it. I click on a tab or open a link, and Firefox freezes. It is completely unresponsive for some amount of time, usually 3-5 minutes. Usually I then get a message asking whether I want to continue or stop an unresponsive script. Only the Stop option will allow me to continue browsing (Continue never resolves the issue, just forces me to wait until the window comes back and I can click on Stop).
In some cases I get an actual crash. This can be if I try to click within the browzer more than a few times when the browser is frozen, or at times it crashes regardless. Rarely it has frozen and won't respond at all, so I have to call up task manager and shut it down.
My other computers don't have this issue, but my main one does.

  • Firefox opens pages very slowly, and flash crashes every time a new page is opened?

    Every single time I open a new page, not only does it take awhile to open but I get a message saying Shockwave Flash has stopped working. I've made sure that I have the current up to date version of Adobe flash and Firefox. It's making it impossible to do my work, which requires flash player. My last 5 crash reports were there;

  • Flash crashes every time I open an fla file

    I installed a trial version of Flash CS3. I had a Flash 8

  • Flash crashes every time I attempt to import

    Hello,
I am using the trial version of Flash CS3. Every time I
attempt to import either to the library or stage the screen gives a
quick little flicker and the application crashes to the desktop and
doesn't report an error to the screen or in the event viewer. Does
anyone have an idea as to why this would happen?
    Thanks!

    /agree
i think it may have something to do with Windows SP3 cuz i'm
having the same issue ... and apparently others are having the same
    issue :(
I've yet to see a 'fix' for this bug, but hopefully it'll
happen soon cuz i cant use Flash until that's fixed ... gl on
    getting it fixed!

  • Adobe Flash crashes every time I use it in Firefox

I am tired of Adobe Flash constantly crashing on me using the latest versions of Firefox and Flash. I have tried updating both Firefox and Flash to the latest versions. I have tried disabling hardware acceleration. I have uninstalled Realplayer. NONE OF THESE RECOMMENDED SOLUTIONS have helped. This is making Firefox unusable for me. I am having to use Chrome now. Help me.

Hi savandarm, you may need to disable some advanced features to get Flash to work correctly.
'''(1) Hardware acceleration (triggers graphics card driver incompatibilities)'''
    (A) In Firefox, un-check the box here (this takes effect after you restart Firefox):
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    (B) In Flash, see this support article from Adobe: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues
'''(2) Protected mode feature (spawns multiple external Flash processes)'''
The following pages provide different ways to disable the feature:
    * Adobe support article under the heading "Last Resort": [http://forums.adobe.com/message/4468493#TemporaryWorkaround Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?]
    * Manual steps: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/968190?page=5#answer-509209
    * Batch file to automate the manual steps: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/982093#answer-518078
    Any improvement?

  • Flash crashes every time I test my game.

I test codes to check if they work so when I type in a code and test my game it keeps crashing. If I change the code to something different it sometimes doesn't crash.
Is it because of the code? I think this is a weird glitch. It says Adobe Flash CC has stopped working and won't respond.

Yes, it works when I remove the problematic code.
But it seems like making variables of other MovieClips for one of my turret movieclip is causing it to crash. Is there any way to make this work without crashing? I need to use these variables so I can add it as a parent to this movieclip.
      var player:Player;
      public function Turret()

    Hi,
I would like to know the certain name of the application you updated.
It seems that the updating of the application make the explorer.exe crash or no responding.
I suggest you press ctrl+alt+del, and click Task manager.
Then end the process explorer.exe, and click File -> Run New task -> type in explorer.exe.
    See what's going on.
