Flash Crashes in Online Games

Hi,
I would love to get help with why flash 11.5.502.146 keeps crashing when playing games online.
I use the browser Mozilla Firefox version 18.0.1
Have Windows XP 32bit
Clear cookies and history each time before I close firefox
This now happens where after you do one action I either get a white frozen screen where I have to use
ctrl+alt+delete as this is the only way I can get out of it.
I have a few times used in the manager used switch so I can refresh the game
On using this I have been sending flash crash reports every 3 or 4 minutes
I can then reload the game, but it is happening all too frequesntly.
What am I not doing to stop these crashes?
Thank you for any help you may be able to give me to stop this happening

I'm sorry you're going through this.  I suspect you're running into a conflict with our Protected Mode which was introduced in Flash Player 11.4.  Please try the troubleshooting steps outlined in this FAQ:
How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?
In particular, I'd recommend temporarily disabling protected mode (for troubleshooting purposes only) to see if that addresses the issue.
Thanks,
Chris

Flash frequently crashes while playing Facebook games, specifically Castleville.  It often causes windows to crash as well.  Im sure this has been covered elsewhere.  Suggestions?

just a bit of clearification.  the plugin container seems to draw well over half the resources.  Is it subposed to?

  • Flash Player having problems while playing online games on OS X Mavericks

i use mbp mid 2010 with os x mavericks 10.9.2 and while playing online games, it usually happens some freezes and delays. when i play same game with same browser on windows 7(bootcamp) there is no freeze and delay. i have made lots of search about this and made some optimizations on flash player settings but the problem continues. i use both chrome and firefox on both mavericks and win7 (bootcamp) but having the same problems on mavericks every time. the game is very slow with freeze and delays on mavericks. will adobe make a real effective upgrade about flash player for macs.

Hmmm... Win 7 will run faster than Mavericks with 8Gb. Even my Vm of 7 runs faster once I get it past all the startup processes.
It may or may not be a connectivity problen since Windows uses a different protocol, even though it's on the same hardware. Usually though, what affects OS X will affect BootCamp too.
    What browser?

Is there anyway to stop this?

I suspect you might be running into the same issue that has been reported here:

If you can, please take a minute and vote/comment for the following bug:
    https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3318993
I don't have a solution available for you yet.  Your alternatives are to use a different browser or revert Flash Player back to a previous version (my suggestion would be the most recent version of 10.3).
How do I revert to a previous version of Flash Player?
    Thanks,

  • Facebook online games Family Feud & Baking Life crash

I have an iMac G5 Power PC using Leopard OS. Online games put the iMac to sleep constantly or an error message reads something about me being offline. I ran software update to make sure I have the most current Java and Flash Player apps and I do. Not sure why this is happening. Any suggestions?

It's been nearly seven years since FFXI's North American launch and I still play it occasionally.

  • What advantage does Edge Animate contribute to Flash Pro cc when programming a multi-player (2-4 players) interactive online game?

What advantage does Edge Animate contribute to Flash Pro cc when programming a multi-player (2-4 players) interactive online game?  If Edge Animate can contribute that advantage to Flash Pro, are any of the other Edge products necessary to program a multi-player interactive online game?  This would be a PC based and not mobile game.

Additional comment by Phila Biblion: The game under consideration would be PC based and not mobile.

  • Why does adobe flash crash on facebook cafe game

After I installed the security update a few days ago, cafe game on facebook crashes and other games are slow
== I updated the security update a few days ago.

    Hi Marie's husband,
If you feel safer with Firefox 3.6.6 and prefer to use that then that's fine. Firefox 3.5.10 was only meant to be a temporary fix until the problems with "plugin-container.exe" were resolved one way or the other, then you could update to the latest version. According to the release notes Firefox 3.5.10 should have the same security updates as Firefox 3.6.4.
As an alternative to Firefox 3.5.10, I just found some information about how to disable "plugin-container.exe" at the following link:
    Disable plugin-container: [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forum/1/706123?#threadId706192]
I haven't actually tried disabling "plugin-container.exe" in Firefox 3.6.6, so I can't tell you whether this works or not. I've listed it as an option, in case you want to use Firefox 3.6.6 and are still having problems. I may try it myself later. There is more discussion in the link above, which you should read, so you can make a more informed decision.
I hope you find this info useful.

  • Online game(Everquest) - 845G Max, Pent. 4, 1G ram - Crashing

I have a 845G Max, Pent 4 with 1 g ram, and Win XP installed. When I instal a 256mb Video card, the game will crash.  The game patchs itself every time I log in. All my drivers are up to date. I have tried both ATI & Nvidia card and have the same problem , so it has to be the MSI problem and not the video cards. The game is the only problem I have.  I have even tried to uninstall the on board video 1st , then intall the Video card, no luck.  Any sugestions and or help?

Thanks so much!   Been banging my head and ripping out my hair with this problem

    QUESTION:
I constantly use in-browser flash. And I've tried quite a few browsers, computers, different computers with differnent operating systems. They've all done the same thing. CRASH. Over, and over, and over again. 10 times or more per day. Yes, I play the Facebook games, but I also use it for in-browser radio/video. It is one of the most annoying things I've ever had to endure on a computer. If there was something else I could use, I'd already downloaded it and deleted Adobe Flash. But since there really isn't anything at the moment, I'm stuck having to write this up and hope that there is a fix. There are thousands with this issue online. If I find a fix here, I will gladly share it with every person I know.
But back to the issue. Whether I have one tab open, or twenty. Flash crashes about every 20-30 minutes. Every now and then, it'll hit an hour. I've also turned off Google Chrome's built-in flash and vise versa. I've gone through so many helps and fixes online it's not even funny.  If there's any kind of fix that I can do that will stop all these crashes, I would appreciate this very much.  I can't list every little detail I've ever done on this forum, but I will tell you if I have already tried anything that is said here. I hope someone says something new and we can get this thing fixed.
--Oh yeah, and this has gone on since my computer was an hour old. Back a couple years ago. Back a couple wipes ago..  I've factory reset 3 times I believe since I got this computer. Don't ask, just how I am. Junk happens and from time to time I like to wipe it all out. Just how I do. I have external drives so everything gets backed up and becomes rather easy to wipe my computer.

I couldn't have written it better myself. I did exactly what is talked about here and feel exactly the same way,

  • Flash Crash ff, chrome, and ie

So tired of this flash crash mess. I have windows XP  internet explorer 7 intel series E gateway. I was using internet explorer. Five or Six months ago the flash crash hit my computer. There are so many confusing answers out there. Can anyone make it simple?  I'm self taught so it needs to be simple, please dont ask me to go do things without telling me how to get there, LOL.  I am having problems with games on facebook with what they call adobe flash crash. I have tried many things but nothing is working. I switched to firefox and it crashed the worse. I switched to Chrome and it crashed to. Chrome seems to work the best out of the three but when I tried to re install Chrome I now get SSL connection error 107  SSL protocol error.  There doesnt seem to be a fix. So now I'm back with Internet Explorer 7  and the not responding flash crash.
I noticed I also get Chrome.exe-corrupt file C:\system volume. Please run the chkdsk utility and something about NTFS ( this fixes itself.) But why does it come up so often? It fixes itself so fast I have no time to read all the stuff it says. What is this file all about and is it causing the crash? Is this file undoing what Im trying to fix? Please help

Hello bethAnn1212, I was wondering how thie issues were going? I was a little concerned as you had mentioned chkdsk dealing with an issue(s) and it had me wondering about the condition of the hard drive. It could be a sign of hardware (hard drive) issues of other issues. There should be a log file but I don't recall where. I am sure someone can mention it or a Google search will find it as well although if you still need to find and/or discuss non-Adobe issues I would think that the administrators would rather a discussion such as that be moved to one of the more general forums, for which I am sure they have a good suggestion which exact forum to go to to have that discussion if you should so desire.
I have an older computer that runs XP home and has it's own sets of issues as well and want you to know that you are not alone . Sometimes with my older computer and lower memory (1.5G RAM) and a slower CPU I run into issues where the flash player will go out and I have to reload the web browser.
It sounds like you try and keep things up to date but wanted to make sure (as it helps with security as well as stability) to have WinXp up to date (sp3 for home) as well as the critical updates along with other drivers. Hopefully you have a firewall running on your system to keep the bad stuff out (keeping that program up to date as  the virus definitions). I think you are learning quite well. I have spent days, weeks and even months trying to figure out or track down the reason for computer issues.
I almost forrgot, although it won't fix your crash issue it might help with speed/stability somehwhat to clear the flash player cache from time to time. Apparently one needs to be online at http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.htm l to do so. Other programs like Java have cache that can help as well as clearing the cookies/temp files from your web browser and the temp files on your computer. Programs built into XP can help with a couple of those. Locations and such can be discusse din the proper forum if you wish. Just let me know. Lots of good people here to help.
    Good luck to all,

  • Open ports on new airport extreme to play online games

hey, i have the new airport extreme and i wanna play online games.
how do i open ports with the utily that came on disk.
i have no clue how to configure it.
i tried in bridge mode, but than the airport starts flashing amber and other users in house wanna surf on the net aswel.
    kind regards

Airport Utility -> Manual setup (Cmd+L)
    Internet -> NAT
    Enable a default host
    Then in Internet -> DHCP
permanently assign the default host IP to the machine you're going to play the games on.
This is what other routers call the "DMZ" address. Be sure to run a firewall on that machine!

  • After the new Firefox undate this morning I can no longer play any of my online game on my laptop but they work on other computers. Why?

None of my online games work on my laptop. I updated Adobe Flash player but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I didn't see anything wrong with the old version and now there is definitely something wrong with this new version. Everything worked just fine last night and now none of it works. Why is that?
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
== I was forced to update to the new version of firefox.

ive never had any problems with ap[ple products in the past... this is a first and a stupid problem if you ask me

  • Problem by online games

Pleas,my litlle sister would like play online girl games, when the game starts need last flash player(only some pages, not for all)
.but i have last flash player(13) and chrome have built-in.who is problem? is the flash player 13 not compatibly with this game? thanks

The Flash Player in Chrome is "PepperFlash". It's a PPAPI version of the Plug-in from here.
That probably doesn't tell you anything, but here's why it matters.
MOST online games are designed for NPAPI Flash.
Chrome's player doesn't work too well with them.
    Here's what to do:
Download the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers)
    Install it.
Open Chrome and type "chrome://plugins" in the address bar.
That'll take you to the Plug-ins page.
Click "Details" at the top right to expand all Plug-in info.
    Scroll to Adobe Flash Player.
You'll see TWO FlashPlayer Plug-ins listed now. One's PepperFlash, the other is the one you just installed.
Disable the PepperFlash and close Chrome. When you relaunch it, it'll "fall back" on the standard (NPAPI) plug-in, and games should work with it.

  • I removed some plugins and i have trouble with online games now

i don't know which add on or plug in is causing problem

You need to post a link to the online game site that isn't working so someone can figure out what (plugin?) the site needs to work. Some popular plugins are listed here: [[Popular plugins]]. From your list of plugins, It looks like you already have Java plug-in 1.6.0_23 and 4.0.51204.0 (Silverlight) installed.
You also need to tell us what happens when you visit the site. (Do you see an error message? Does Firefox crash or hang?)

  • Adobe Flash Crashes, no sound.

    Hello,
I am constantly battling Flash, and resetting my computer because the sound will abruptly stop working. I was hoping that someone could provide some insight. I am currently running Windows 7 64bit, and flash crashes on all of the web browsers that I have (latest versions of Firefox, IE and Chrome).
I am unsure if this is related or not, but the sound will abruptly stop working for my Steam Games as well as Spotify. Are these adobe based systems as well? Other programs, such as Diablo III work just fine with no sound issues what-so-ever.
