Flash Crashes in Windows 7, 64 bit

I have followed all the steps on : http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html
Nothing seems to work. This issue started after Flash updated. It crashes in Firefox and IE (which I don't like to use). Firefox is my prefered browser, however, flash seems to be working in Chrome now.
I don't know what else to do.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I have had something very similar happen and I believe I have it resolved.  I built a new Windows 7 64 Bit Theatre Computer with a Saphire video card.  The computer would crash using Flash.  I first experienced it using HuLu but then noticed again when listening to online radio.  I thought it was the video card and so I replaced it.  The second one had a bad fan and so a month later I finally got a good video card, but the only thing is it crashed too--extremely frustrating.
I did a lot of research today and found people were solving the issue by uninstalling the IDC Audio Driver.  I dont have the IDC Audio Driver.  I disabled my Realtek HD Audio within Device Manager.  Things started to work but without sound.  So, I uninstalled the Realtek Audio Driver through Add/Remove Programs.  I restarted my computer and Device Manager installed the Generic High Definition Audio Device Driver and we have sound.
I have even re-enabled hardware acceleration which was a definite killer to freezing my computer.  I am very happy now and hope this helps many.  What a headache that was.  Check out our Home Theatre Systems at www.hawkepc.com

  • ITunes 10.5.3 Crashing on Windows 7 (32-bit)

I've recently downloaded the iTunes 10.5.3 updates onto my laptop, the operating system of which is Windows 7 32-bit. Since updating it, iTunes has been crashing when I try to access iTunes Store, use iTunes Match, or import music, presenting me with a report that "iTunes has stopped working" and simply reads "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." It doesn't tell me what the error is or why it has stopped working. I've in response tried reinstalling both iTunes and Quicktime. I've checked my computer for any viruses, malware, etc and the scans have come up empty. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem?
Thank you in advance for any advice!

  • Adobe PDF Printer (Acrobat Pro 9.3.2) causes Print Spooler crash on Windows 7 64-bit

We have recently upgraded our office to Windows 7 64-bit. This upgrade has been very smooth with the exception of Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. We are running Acrobat 9.3.2, I know there are a couple of additional updates available but they do not fix this issue if installed.
The problem occurs when users create documents using the Adobe PDF printer. The Print Spooler will crash, causing the application they are printing from to stop responding and they are forced to close the program. From this point onwards the user will be unable to print to any printer whatsoever, until they restart their computer. Stopping and starting the print spooler (clearing temp files as well) sometimes corrects the issue, but by the time they have found an admin to do this they may as well just restart.
I should note that this problem is not very consistent. It occurs sometimes after one PDF has been created, sometimes after they have created many PDFs, and sometimes not at all. It doesn't seem to matter which application they create the PDF from either. It's very irritating because I can't pin it down to anything in particular.
I've Googled a lot around this subject and I can see that I am not the only one with this issue, however there don't seem to be any solutions out there. This issue is widespread across our organisation and I would greatly appreciate any constructive suggestions on finding a resolution.
    Many thanks, Steve.

Several months ago, I started working on this issue and thought that I had it resolved by uninstalling the "Internet Printing Client" from "Windows Features" (Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off > expand Print and Document Services > uncheck Internet Printing Client). This change seemed to help at the time, as I was then unable to reproduce the issue and the end-user was unable to reproduce the issue for two weeks after (thus I closed the help desk case). But now it looks like the issue is back. Maybe the above setting will help someone else, but I'm now looking for a permanent fix.
PS: I have instructed our users on the "Save as PDF" option provided in Office 2010, but I don't think that is used all the time, and the PDF printer is there only option in other applications (IE for example).
Anybody had this issue and found a fix?
    Thanks,
    Justin

  • Cannot install Flash Player on Windows 7 64 Bit

I have a Dell with Windows 7 64 Bit laptop. I cannot install the adobe flash player. I have seen a lot posted on here, but am really lost. Can anyone explain to me what I can do to fix the problem. Really upset because this is a new computer. Thanks for any help.

Hello All, I want to first say I appreciate your help.
I did find a solution. In adobe there is a 'lab' section. Here there is a spot to click on Adobe Flash 10.1 after installing this and restarting my computer the problem is fix.
Here is the link to what I used.
Hope this helps someone else like it did me.

  • Framemaker 9 Crashes in Windows 7 / 64 Bit  Env. When I switch from Unstructred to Structured Files

    This is a fix.
I typically use Framemaker to edit structured DITA xml documents.  I recently got a Win 7/64 bit machine and decided this was a good time to upgrade to Framemaker 9. I installed Frame 9 directly onto this new machine.  It worked fine with my xml files.
Then I had to switch projects and work on some unstructured documents. In order to document the application these unstructured documents were for I had to turn off Windows Themes, as the  application I needed to document had  display problems with those on.  After I finished the unstructured documentation, I switched back to my DITA XML documents. But they would not open. I selected an XML file from the Open dialog and immediately FrameMaker 9 crashed. I tried turning Themes back on and chose the recommended Aero theme. No change. My XML files still crashed FrameMaker 9 as soon as I selected one to open. The error message came post-crash and did not come from FrameMaker: it said Windows was trying to find some information about the crash, but could not find any.
This problem may be specific to DITA or it may occur with other structured-unstructured switches. I don't know, I only work with DITA XML.
But I just found a workaround and would like to share it in case anyone else encounters this:
    1.     Open an unstructured file.
    2.     In the upper right corner of the screen you’ll see AUTHORING. Open the drop-down and choose DITA AUTHORING (or whatever type you use for structured documents).
    3.     Open the Structure Tools menu and select Set Structured Application.
    4.     In the dialog, select the structure application you want to use with the XML file you want to open, DITA-TOPIC-FM, for example.
    5.     Now open a structured XML file. It will open now.
    6.     Close the unstructured document without saving any changes to it.
    7.     Save your structured document  then work with it.You only have to do this once. The next time you open an XML file, FrameMaker will open it correctly.  It persists even after you close Frame 9 and reopen it.
It suprised me that Framemaker 9 didn't automatically switch back to Dita/structured mode upon opening an XML file, but I was glad there was an easy way to fix this.

Contacted customer service-- their ownly solution is to pull out the memory card and use a card reader.  Not acceptable because that does NOT create folders by day-- an extremely usefull tool if you take a lot of pictures. nor does it prevent multiple loads of files.     customer service intidicated the software was written by an unknown australian company-- no information on who they are or how to contact them.
It used to work just fine and still works on my laptop also using windows 7 64 bit.
A suspicious item is that it always asks for permission to modify or install software, long after it was installed; shows the standard windows dialog when loading new software.   suggesting that an attempt is made to modify a protected or forbidden file region.
I would like to see a serious attempt by canon to solve this problem, its gone on too long and many others have it.
The program runs on your laptop and on countless other 64-bit Windows 7 computers - including one located less than three feet from me as I type this. It doesn't run on your other computer, and the error messages suggest a file permission problem. And it's Canon's fault. That may be true; Canon's software is certainly not bug-free. But if I were a betting man, I'd bet that your problem is in your computer.

Wow, that's annoying. What's curious about your crash IDs is that each one has a different signature. In other words, I don't see a single source of the problem that I could point do.
Did you already get a chance to try the steps in the following article? You have the latest release of Firefox, but in case your program files somehow got corrupted, you could re-run the full installer. This should safely migrate your personal data, but there's no harm in doing a backup first, just in case.

Hi, You need to be sure to use the 32bit browser in Install Flash Player, as it is not supported yet for the 64bit. You can install FP in a 64bit operating system as you have, but use the 32bit browser which is the default.
Also are you trying to Install Flash Player vs 10.0.45.2 and if so did you run the Adobe Uninstaller first?
