Flash Crashes Windows 7 Enterprise Dell Convertable Tablet / Laptop

Greetings!
I have recently recieved a new PC featuring Windows 7 enterprise. Flash refuses to work. I get what I like to call the cloudy screen of death, and IE/FireFox/Chrome simply close out. Does not matter what I do. I have tried installing several different types of Flash, and using both the 64 and 32 bit versions of IE explorer. Sometimes Flash movies begin to load before they crash and sometimes it simply takes browsing to a page with flash on it. I absolutely need flash as the company I work for (and gave me this new machine) uses flash in a large part of their Computer Based Training......... Any Ideas? This is the set up I am working with.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm having the same problem. Never seen anything like this.
Running latest Flash (10.3.181.14) on Windows 7 Enterprise. Dell Latitude XT2 (tablet PC). Firefox 4.0.1, Chrome, IE, all give the same result.
I'm having the same symptoms as cryetter -- the Flash movie will start to load. Maybe for 1-2 sec it looks like it'll work. Then the browser freezes for a minute and finally I get the warning that the plugin crashed. I upgraded yesterday to the latest video driver from Dell's site, and everything worked for many Flash movies on YouTube. Then this morning I restarted and am back to square one.
Uninstalled/reinstalled Flash, yadda yadda, gone thru the whole thing countless times.
Looking for any suggestions before I undertake a massive and painful reimage. Thanks.

My company has several Lenovo X301 laptops with Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) running IE11. I load clean versions of Flash onto these laptops (latest version 12.0.0.77) and every single one of these laptops crashes when opening IE11.
One thing I noticed when I used the help.adobe.com site. Using IE11, the box which "dynamically displays the following information" shows the correct version of Flash player and OS but the browser says "None". If I run Chrome, it says the correct Flash version but the OS says "Windows 7 (32 bit) and the browser correctly says "Google Chrome".
The crash report for IE11, module name is Flash32_12_0_0_77.ocx.
1. Why is the program unable to determine the correct browser?
2. Why does it appear that a 64 bit program is trying to use a 32 bit plug-in?

User-Agent Strings are what websites use to identify the browser you're using and provide the proper content for it's browser engine, like ActiveX stuff, and Flash or HTML5 video. Thanks to the geniuses in Redmond, WA, the User-Agent Strings for IE11 (which has a Trident engine), ID it as either "Gecko" (Firefox) or "Webkit" (Chrome). Problem is: when the site the directs to the content for one of these two engines, the Trident engine in IE can't intepret it and the site then sees IE as an "unidentified" browser.Microsoft has no immediate plans to "fix" the mess they've created.
2. Chrome is a 32 bit browser, and will identify as such, including the plug-ins in it.
IE uses the plug-in from the SyWOW64 folder (WOW=Windows On WIndows - which runs 32 bit apps in the 64 bit environment)

Flash crashes Windows App (using ActiveX Shockwave COM Flash-Object)

Hi,
I developed a program via Visual Basic Express 2010 using a flashplayer COM ActiveX object to run some content.
It happens, that the App crashes telling me that flash32 is the initiator. I can't say when - it crashes at different times, sometimes after an hour, sometimes after 3 days. The program itself runs stable.
PC: Win7 professional 64, IE9, up to date, nothing else installed (except realVNC)

Last week I updatet flash from 11.4 to 11.6 -> same problem.
Today I updatet it to 11.7 -> same problem.
Some weeks ago we had to replace the old machine completely using winXP 32bit, flash 9 or 10 (not sure, think it was 10).
1. should I try an older version of flash? found some similar problems using the IE, but I dont use the IE and these threads have no solution.
2. how to enable a flash error reporting in this VB-Flash solution?

You cannot install IE9 on Windows XP.
Try disabling Hardware Acceleration (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/891337),
or better, update the device drivers for your display adapter.

Does anyone out there have any information about running LabVIEW 6i on a Windows 2000 Dell Inspiron 7500 laptop?

Good news, bad news. I will take any info I can get. I am having trouble getting LabVIEW to see an HP 8703 device. I used to have Win98 and LabVIEW 5.1 running on this machine without a problem until I tried to upgrade to 6i. The machine would not work correctly or recognize devices consistently.

The problem you are seeing likely does not have to do with LabVIEW, but more likely with the GPIB drivers. If you did a full install of LabVIEW 6, it probably installed new drivers over the old ones and might have caused some problem. You aught to be able to test the 488.2 drivers and the device communication using MAX (Measurement and Automation Explorer) If have trouble communicating with your device in MAX, might want to consider completely uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling.

Flash plugin won't run on new laptop running windows 7 . I'm a developer and beleave me I've tried everything I know.

I'm a developer I just bought a new laptop running Windows 7 Professional Service pack 1. I downloaded Firefox 11.0 and downloaded and installed the Adobe Flash plugin! I’ve tried just about everything to get the plugin working but Firefox tells me I have an old version and has turned it off for security reasons. I have included the Flash registry settings and the Flash install log. Dell install a version of flash but it looks like the ActiveX not the Plugin Dll. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and Flash many times it still won’t work. Firefox is no good to me without this plugin. Any help would be appreciated.

Audio has developed a static-y hiccup. I removed and replaced Firefox on ny Windows XP Dell laptop. The audio is fine on Internet Explorer.

I have a new problem with my Dell Latitude E6500 laptop. I use Windows XP and the latest version of Firefox.
Audio through websites has a jerky, static-y sound to. Youtube, Ted, Pandora, NPR: all the same. The only site that plays O.K. is a video on the Mozilla site.
This started when I downloaded a story from NPR to their player. It was bad, and everything since then, too.
I removed Firefox and downloaded it again.
Internet Explorer doesn't have this problem. Neither do CDs played through the computer.

Serious resolution issues with After Effects CC (2014) on Windows 8.1 Pro on Dell Precision M3800 laptop??

My new company installed Adobe Creative Cloud (There was some annoying Proxy issues at first, because of the seriously tight I.T policies) but we are having some serious resolution issues with After Effects CC 2014 (also have this resolution problem with Adobe Premiere, Media Encoder, Muse) on Windows 8.1 Pro on a Dell Precision M3800 laptop with icons and interface looking too small and hard to see, is there a fix, an update or a work around, can anyone help?

Hi Todd is there a time-frame for this fix, there is a lot of pressure on me, because I convinced my company to get the Creative Cloud and quite a lot of the CC software is not compatible with the latest Windows 8.1 OS.
Is there at least a work around, until this big fix comes along?

Flash Player 11.2.202.235, IE9 64-bit, Windows 7 64-bit, HP laptop - objects do not display-seevideo

Flash Player 11.2.202.235, Internet Explorer 9 64-bit, Windows 7 64-bit, HP laptop - Flash objects do not display properly in browser; right-click Settings window does not display properly either; i have to scroll down and back up to see parts of the Flash object but it disappears anyway when i mouse over.
I took video of the issue and have now linked to it. In the video, I show two browser tabs - one from this site and one from a Bank of America (BoA) site with a flash object. You can see how the BoA flash object disappears when I make that tab active.

Thanks for the reply and the link. The driver update did not work because it says I have the latest one installed - even though the driver date is 10/8/2009. It's the Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator HD, version 8.15.10.1968.
Can you believe that...the latest is from 2009?! I tried to install an updated version anyway - first by going to the Intel site. I found a driver update from Jan 2012 that matches my system, but the install aborts with the error message "A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver Update Utility is not able to update the driver."
So, I searched through the HP support site and finally found a link to my computer:

And I downloaded and installed the "same" driver anyway:

But it does not correct the problem.
Maybe this problem is because of an old graphics driver - but this is apparently a dead end for me.

Recently i bought lenovo tablet with windows 8.1 OS 32 bit.
My flash project windows projector .exe file is running but i cannot able to click any buttons in that flash exe. I developed this project in AS3 and flash player 11.
And i checked my old presentation developed in as2 it will work fine i can able to click the buttons also. I will try all but no use. Please help me to sort out this problem.

It sounds like we are running into issues with the iTunes software connecting to your device. If possible, lets try plugging your iPhone 5 in with a different cable. Also, try plugging it in to a different USB port on your computer:

We may need to isolate the issue down to the iPhone or the current installation of iTunes. If the above steps have not resolved your issue, remove and reinstall iTunes:

There is no "urgent" in these forums and your statement that everyone must jump to your request just because you say so is rude.

Flash crashes in Windows 7 while resizing canvas

Every single time I try to resize the canvas in Flash CS4 running in Windows 7 I get a runtime error (see attached), then Flash crashes. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have had something very similar happen and I believe I have it resolved. I built a new Windows 7 64 Bit Theatre Computer with a Saphire video card. The computer would crash using Flash. I first experienced it using HuLu but then noticed again when listening to online radio. I thought it was the video card and so I replaced it. The second one had a bad fan and so a month later I finally got a good video card, but the only thing is it crashed too--extremely frustrating.
I did a lot of research today and found people were solving the issue by uninstalling the IDC Audio Driver. I dont have the IDC Audio Driver. I disabled my Realtek HD Audio within Device Manager. Things started to work but without sound. So, I uninstalled the Realtek Audio Driver through Add/Remove Programs. I restarted my computer and Device Manager installed the Generic High Definition Audio Device Driver and we have sound.
I have even re-enabled hardware acceleration which was a definite killer to freezing my computer. I am very happy now and hope this helps many. What a headache that was. Check out our Home Theatre Systems at www.hawkepc.com

Adobe Flash on Windows 7 Laptop

So i am trying to use the Pandora website as well as some others, but it keeps saying i need flash player. I go to the adobe site and i installed the newest one and it said successfully installed. But when i (even after restarting my computer) try to use Pandora again it says i need to have flash player.
I tried to do the plugin check for Firefox but it just kept loading during the check. Also I looked in my add-on page, and I do not see adobe flash, or shockwave of any sort.
Please help!

Hello,
There are different versions of Flash Player for different browsers. Please Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows and download/install the versions for the various browsers you use. The downloads are listed at the bottom of the page in the 'Still having problems' section.
If you encounter problems during the installation, please uninstall, using the uninstaller posted here Uninstall Flash Player | Windows, restart the machine and try the installation again.
