Flash crashing browsers (cont)
Hi,
@AnotherAdmin - you had success by removing all services at start up. I did see that but was curious if, as you added services back, you were able to determine the offending service. It kind of looks to me like there is more than one cause. To reiterate, I'm on W7 and was seeing lock ups on IE and Firefox. I ran the uninstaller available on Adobe's site AND cleared the %APPDATA%/roaming/macromedia/flash dir. I then reinstalled where prompted.
Thanks for your input.

I forgot to mention that I haven't been able to run an AHT because I just realized my original Tiger discs are in storage and all I have is my retail Leopard Mac Box Set. I did see on the other thread a link to:
http://www.memtestosx.org/joomla/index.php
for RAM tests, but it's not free so I haven't gone down that road yet. In case it helps anyone, here is a link to the prior thread that is now closed about the same issue:

Flash Crashing Browsers: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
Hi everyone,
I've been having problems with Flash crashing both Firefox and Safari for some time now. I've archived and installed, erased and installed, installed OnyX and "cleaned" per a now closed thread here on the same topic... my last resort is to replace the RAM.
I'm sure someone else has had this problem and I'm really hoping that someone has figured out how to fix it (short of replacing hardware, of course).
Here is the complete crash report from Home> Library> Crash Reporter in case it helps. If you have any suggestions please let me know! Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for any insight.

Flash Crashing Browsers on Macbook Air
A couple of days ago my bowsers started crashing with the
message that a Flash Plugin has cuased an error.
It happens on both Safari and FireFox.
I have tried the Flash uninstaller. but when I reinstall the
same thing happens.
I have tried uninstalling all Adobe apps and all folders but
when I put flash back on the problem returns.
Im no tech talkin guy but it seems that the problem is not
directly in Flash and not related to any single browser.
Ive tried uninstalling things that I have installed recently
(Photoshop elements trial) but I cant get the flash plugins back up
and running without crashing the browsers.
Any help would be appreciated.

Flash crashes browsers on Mac OS X
...I navigate to a website run by the BBC. If I uninstall
Flash then I can access the page OK (the page does not need Flash
to be displayed). If I install Flash then when I try and access the
page all three browsers will crash.
I'm running Leopard 10.5.11 and the latest versions of
Safari, Camino and Firefox. I have downloaded the latest Flash from
the Adobe site. It's down to release 115. Release 47 is absolutely
fine. -
Flash crashing browsers on unload while playing stream
I've set up the most basic test case while troubleshooting
ongoing crash reports.
- drag FLVPlayer onto the stage
- add the following code to frame 1 so you can play in a bare
FMS 3 server:
import fl.video.*;
VideoPlayer.iNCManagerClass = fl.video.NCManagerNative;
- set your path to any FLV file via RTMP to FMS3 (our is
linux)
I can crash any browser just by repeatedly reloading the page
with that movie in right as it loads. Eventually, with enough
repetition, it will crash and take down the browser with a fault in
"Flash_EnforceLocalSecurity". If you have video on every page of
your site, you can see how this might become a bit of a problem...
Network latency will increase the frequency of crashes.
I've been chasing this for months in our own player (AS2).
Finding the same thing with such a simple test case in a bare clip
using the native AS3 component is really surprising. This log is from Safari on Mac OS X, but the same crash
happens on Vista (FF and IE7) and Mac FF.

Does Adobe have a tech support contact for Flash on browsers?
I am looking how to escalate to Adobe Tech Support but paying 29 bux an hour for some recruited college Grad that knows to little doesnt suit me.
Bought an HP Quad and it had Win7 home so poorly installed, configured, overloaded with junk, would not backup, when it did backup and create a repair disk they wouldnt restore. HP's preloaded Win7 build both IE8 and Firefox were crashing with both BSOD and Browsers not responding and dying. Firefox never responds to anything, Microsoft indicates is an add on problem but I think it can be a flash issue although it occurs much more on Wiin7 (ANY Version) for 32 or 64 bit. I have been screwing with this for a month screaming at Microsoft and Mozilla but its a waste of time.
Microsoft forums are polluted for Win7 browser BSOD and Browser halting then crashing posts, there answer is disable add-ons. I cant surf the net without add ons so that is a stupid reponse of finger pointing, giving appearance that Msoft, Adobe and Mozilla dont communicate. No company will take ownership and drive the issue to find the root cause and where ever that cause is make them fix it, Msfot, Adobe of Firefox. so what do ya do?
The HP PC with horrible preload of win7 finally died and killed the build but Microsoft was equally useless in helping me repair that preloaded junk even though the OS is theres. I BOUGHT real disks because HP couldnt support the mess - HP couldnt support chewing food let alone the mess they place on PC's with 90% asian parts with old drivers. Eleven escaltions starting on DAY 1 of ownership of a Pavilion. Hundreds of crash dump error reports sent to Firefox has still gone unresponsed, as they employ the 5th ammendment ,method of silence without support and Msoft remove all add on is laughable but proves HP. Firefox and MicroSoft wont assume responsibilty.
This sucks as all three gloat and boast about a HIGH levels of support and awards won for support but it is all myth, and laughably a lie but I still want it repaired. 28 years in IT - retired I feel qualififed to make the observation.
I never attempted to contact Adobe but I get redirected after seeing the warning about 39 bucks an hour to answer a phone for a freeware add-on.
Does anyone know of have a escalation path to a real person at adobe or department beause tthis site redirects from the ASK Adobe Support link meaning I cant even mail a question to then, Already a BAD sign but the driver is free, but they wrote, and millions are having issue so where is there support - Why bother writing the addon if people cant even ask a question.
So does any know if they support the flash add-on without charging? a Glitch they might want to know about is flash 10.0.0.1 shows in Win7 Event logs as version 0.0.0.1 and I have logs showing that an addon report from the DEP (Data Execution Service) saw an add-on go to a non executalbe memory region whenthe only add-on I have is flash.
Google for IE8 Browser Crash 566,500, Win7 Browser crash 1,500,000, Firefox crashing 587,000, Firefox flash crash 1,420,000, Adobe flash crash 1,820,000, are 4,615,500 google posts found for one issue and I know there are more than that failing but Im sick of the whole thing so adobe is my last gasp. Please respond if you have a fix or path to escalate to adobe.
Thanks.
What a mess that no company so far stands up willing to take ownership of this just to find the root cause.I don't have a definitive answer, but I would guess you won't find a tech support service dedicated to the Flash Player since it is free software and customers apparently have problems getting tech support for the products they buy. But here are a couple of things worth considering.

Adobe Flash Crashes, no sound.
Hello,
I am constantly battling Flash, and resetting my computer because the sound will abruptly stop working. I was hoping that someone could provide some insight. I am currently running Windows 7 64bit, and flash crashes on all of the web browsers that I have (latest versions of Firefox, IE and Chrome).
I am unsure if this is related or not, but the sound will abruptly stop working for my Steam Games as well as Spotify. Are these adobe based systems as well? Other programs, such as Diablo III work just fine with no sound issues what-so-ever.
The latest bugs reported on Firefox are as follows:

Adobe Flash crashes and other questions about Flash
There have been several instances of Adobe Flash crashes whether I am using Firefox, IE or Google Chrome browsers - and simply reloading the page corrects this BUT recurs again and again.
I'm running Windows 8.1 64bit in which the Flash program apparently comes embedded in the OS as a 32/64 bit hybrid. When I inspect the Flash version add-on in Firefox, and run an update check, Adobe reports, correctly, that my system is Windows 64bit , English, Firefox. Then, when I do the same in Windows Internet Explorer by checking the embedded version, I get a message that KB2999249 is available for download to correct Flash issues in IE. Since that install, Flash hasn't crashed in IE [yet].
So, my question is: How can I be certain that when Firefox reports that Flash is "up-to-date" that it is indeed a 64bit compatible version? Note that the Adobe download site only identifies one available version for Firefox, IE and Google - the current version being 15.0.0.152 file: NPSWF32_15_0_0_152.
Does the "32" part of the file name suggest that it is a 32bit application and, if so, where can I find NPSWF64_15_o_o_152 [if it exists]?
''edited the title of this thread to reflect the questions asked''I now understand the version nuances between the browsers and thanks for the response. Now what, if anything, can I do to address the continuum of Flash crashes since I find it difficult to believe that I'm the only user experiencing this anomaly?

QUESTION:
I constantly use in-browser flash. And I've tried quite a few browsers, computers, different computers with differnent operating systems. They've all done the same thing. CRASH. Over, and over, and over again. 10 times or more per day. Yes, I play the Facebook games, but I also use it for in-browser radio/video. It is one of the most annoying things I've ever had to endure on a computer. If there was something else I could use, I'd already downloaded it and deleted Adobe Flash. But since there really isn't anything at the moment, I'm stuck having to write this up and hope that there is a fix. There are thousands with this issue online. If I find a fix here, I will gladly share it with every person I know.
But back to the issue. Whether I have one tab open, or twenty. Flash crashes about every 20-30 minutes. Every now and then, it'll hit an hour. I've also turned off Google Chrome's built-in flash and vise versa. I've gone through so many helps and fixes online it's not even funny. If there's any kind of fix that I can do that will stop all these crashes, I would appreciate this very much. I can't list every little detail I've ever done on this forum, but I will tell you if I have already tried anything that is said here. I hope someone says something new and we can get this thing fixed.
--Oh yeah, and this has gone on since my computer was an hour old. Back a couple years ago. Back a couple wipes ago.. I've factory reset 3 times I believe since I got this computer. Don't ask, just how I am. Junk happens and from time to time I like to wipe it all out. Just how I do. I have external drives so everything gets backed up and becomes rather easy to wipe my computer.I couldn't have written it better myself. I did exactly what is talked about here and feel exactly the same way,

I have been having issue with the flash plugin crashing frequently on my 64bit arch install in all browsers. I have an Nvidia gtx 260
with the latest proprietary drivers and the following relevant packages
lib32-flashplugin10 - from the aur, I tested this today and it removed the normal flash package
lib32-libvdpau
libvdpau
I edited '/etc/adobe/mms.cfg' to make sure EnableLinuxHWVifroDecode=1
I ran firefox from a terminal and this is the output that I got when flash crashed
WARNING: pipe error (90): Connection reset by peer: file /build/src/mozilla-release/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/ipc_channel_posix.cc, line 431

What can I try to do to get rid of this issue? Do I need to give any more information on my setup? I would really like to be able to watch flash videos without having to use my
windows vm.
ThanksI removed the lib32-flashplugin and reinstalled the 64bit flashplugin from the main repo and I got a different but similar error. It seems to be something with the X server?

I searched pacman and found that I have this package. This seems to be a dependency for kdebase-workspace. Do you think its the culprit?

Adobe Flash crashes, continually causes Firefox 13.0.1 to crash
Firefox continually crashes (approx. 6-8 times a day or more) due to Adobe Flash player crashing.
I'm running Firefox 13.0.1 and Adobe Flash 11.3.300.262
I noticed that since the second-to-last update of Flash Firefox has been crashing a lot. Before that Firefox crashed 'only' once a day or so.
Over the past few months I've read just about every thread related to Flash & Firefox and I'm not about to spend hours troubleshooting stuff, trying to disable hardware acceleration, etc, etc. I've done that before when the Flash-crash issue started a couple of months ago. (Also, Firefox is sometimes sending you automated crash reports, so you should have that data.) I would expect Firefox to simply "work" reasonably well, and as of the past couple of months or so, it hasn't.
W.T.F, Mozilla? I've used your browsers (Netscape) since the early 90s and have been quite happy - until recently, that is. As of now I'm having to go back to using Internet Explorer.
I sincerely hope Mozilla can finally resolve this issue as I still believe Firefox could be a great browser if it didn't "fight" with Flash all the time.whatev, For issues using full-screen mode, turn off hardware acceleration in your [http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html Flash Player display settings]:
#Right-click on any Flash video or animation (or on the Flash logo on [http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues this Adobe help page]).
#Click "Settings" and uncheck “Enable hardware acceleration" in the Display tab.
This isn't the best workaround since the setting may not hold, for example, if you clear all cookies in Firefox or with an extension such as BetterPrivacy. Updating your display driver would be the best solution,

Flash crashes every time in Firefox 27.0.1 on Windows 8.1
Flash crashes every time it tries to load in Firefox. I've tried safe mode with extensions disabled, and it still crashes. I tried disabling protected mode, upgrading to the latest version of Flash, and downgrading to 11.7. I also have updated my video drivers to the latest versions. None of those things helped. Flash works fine in Chrome, though.
Has anyone else had this problem, and have any idea how to fix it?Flash Player™ works in Chrome® because Chrome® has a proprietary plug-in which Google® modifies and embeds in the browser.
If you've "been through the works" with troubleshooting Flash Player™, try resetting Firefox® (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems). You'll be surprised what that'll fix.
You should alwasys use the latest Flash Player™ and I'd recommend reinstalling it using the FULL installer: Flash Player™ 12.0.0.70 Plug-in (All other browsers)... but use the Flash Player™ Uninstaller to remove the old one. -
Ok, I installed Leopard, then anytime I tried to watch Youtube, or any website with Flash content, ie. trying to purchase on Amazon, the browsers crashed. Safari, Firefox, Netscape, didn't matter. So, I reinstalled Tiger, but it still happened. I un-installed Flash Player and the browsers stay open, although I can't view all the content. But at least they work. I tried to re-install Flash, crashed again. I did a nw Mac account, no luck, crashed there too! I'm going nuts!
Not too technical!I am having the same issues with "youtube crashing, on Safari, or any browser. I also crash with any sign-ins including my bank accounts. Quicktime crashes, Photoshop crashes, Anime Studio pro, and others crash. I have erased and reinstalled 5 times. I am now using Tiger, previously I was using Leopard. It does not make any difference. I have had my Logic board replaced. I have worked with Adobe Techs since January. They say it is not a Flash problem. I have tried everything in this thread, and much more, without any luck. I bought this iMac 24, October 2007 and it still does not work. PLEASE HELP. I just want what I paid $2500.00 for, a computer that works. I have now erased and reinstalled so many times that I have reached my limit of 5 computers with my itune purchases. Adobe will not let me download photoshop again, with out paying them, because I have downloaded Photoshop to many times. My world is falling apart.

Shockwave flash crashing on IE Chrome Firefox
Ok i am having issues of playin games on facebook and watching videos on Livestream and even live preaching my IE freezes up once i click to watch and chrome tells me shockwave flash crashed this has started happening recently since i downloaded the new update never had this happen before please help i would love to watch and plays games again
I have been having the same issues with Google Chrome too. It usually happens when i have more than one website loading a Flash Animation. Also, I experienced a lot of crashes due to my computer's processing speed(it is pretty old).
What kind of computer do you have? Is your graphics card suitable to play high-rendered video games(you must understand that now flash animations are getting more complex and heavier in terms of size and dynamics)/. What is the latest version of your flash software?
Another thing I would do is not having three different browsers. I usually stick to one. Also check if you have any kind of software that might be blocking programs from executing(such as ad-blockers, anitivirus etc.).
Hope this information helps,
Vicente Tulliano.
