Flash CS4 Quiz Template: Help Needed

My organization uses the Flash CS4 quiz template that is included within the eLearning suite. Everything works great. The quiz loads on the LMS, it gives learners' their scores, etc. The issue we're having is after the score is recorded within the LMS.
If a user fails the quiz, the LMS marks the quiz as 'Completed/Failed'. The LMS (Inquisic EX), then, moves the failed quiz into the 'Completed Courses' tab. I understand why it does this because the 'Completed' mark given refers to the learner having gone through all of the pages within the quiz; however, the learner failed the quiz. If the learner goes back into the quiz and passes it the second time around, the LMS continues to state 'Completed/Failed'.
Does anyone know why this would happen? Are there SCORM settings we ought to change within the source code provided by Adobe?

i make the swf file and test the quiz it works good , but when i
press the enter key , the quiz doesn't work and repeat and go to
the first screen , i don't know if i have to block the enter key or

Quiz Template Guru Needed: 1) Target Symbols from Drag&Drop questions persist on subsequent questions!??

I've been finding some anomalies when testing the movie, for
instance the question regarding the BA degree keeps telling me the
answer marked correct in the Component Inspector (# 6 American
Urban) is incorrect; other times it seems one question contains
part of another question's graphics, though I have scrupulously
made sure there is no overlap frame by frame.
I need someone with experience in quiz templates to go
through this until you find anomalies like those mentioned above,
and let me know if you have any idea what's causing them.

I have the solution. It is a bug in Flash for which I got
them to find a workaround.
If you ask me they don't spend nearly enought time/energy on
Flash in education, particularly the quizzes, which have so many
limitations and are lacking so many obviously needed features.
I'll post their workaround below, but I want you, and all who
read it to contact their feedback/wishlist for Flash and complain
about their Quizzes getting short shrift. Features badly needed
are:
- Ability to randomize AND require certain questions to
always appear.
- options to enter name and have it appear on Results Page
along with date and number of times the quiz has been re-taken.
- the ability to have multiple true/false questions
- better documentation on how to customize the template
graphics and how to use original graphics
- fix the drag & drop component permanently -- this is
arguably the most useful question format of them all !
- ability to save customized components -- as component
templates
- anything else you can think of that I haven't included here
Here's the fix:
1) in your movie, locate an instance of the Drag and Drop
Interaction component and select it.
2) Select Edit Symbols from the file menu (Edit > Edit
Symbols) to edit the symbol
3) The middle layer should be the Actions Layer. Select
frame 1 in that Actions layer and open the Actions panel
4) Scroll to the bottom of the script and find the
this.onUnload function located there.
5) Use your mouse and highlight the contents of that
function, not including the function name, and copy it. You
should have copied the following script:

_parent.SessionArray[_parent.session].drag_objects;
var len = clearLast.length;
for(var i=0; i<len; i++){
_parent[clearLast
].removeMovieClip();
6) Return to the very top of the script and paste a copy of
this script there prior to the comment stating:

What this should do is ensure that the unload script is
called immediately upon the loading of a new drag and drop
interaction component clearing any prior objects used in the one
before it.Â This was not happening appropriately before
which is what was causing those dragged objects to remain on the
screen.

Flash CS4 presentation slideshow. help!

I need help creating a presentation slideshow in Flash CS4 for an online course with many slides. The outlook is that it would look and work very much like power point except that it will be done through Flash CS4 and uploaded online.

actually.. i know this is digressing... onto another program here but.. im almost pro with fireworks CS3 and just realized that CS4 has a flash slideshow creator built into it that is really easy to use.. the only thing is that when i go to 'export options' in the slideshow settings.. i browse for an export path and select it.. but it seems the program malfunctions and can't select any location.. it just stays blank thus.. creating the flash slideshow i would like to do.. cannot be completed.. can someone help me with this... or shall i go to the fireworks forum.

Website template help needed

Hello group,
I am hoping someone is willing to take the time to help a new
Flash user. I have a website template I need to customize and get
rid of all the generic text and pictures but I am not sure the
easiest way. I am sure I am going about it the hardest way possible
without much luck. I have all the .fla files and the site works
fine in it's generic form. I have figured out how to update just an
ordinary picture but I can't figure out how to change the picture
of a library bitmap when it has a background. I can replace the
entire thing but I want to keep the background image the picture is
on. It is a custom shape, color etc. designed just for this site. I
looked for just an instance of the picture but it only appears in a
bitmap combined with the background as far as I can tell. I do have
the .PSD files and I am pretty sure I can do it that way but I am
not sure if Photoshops "publish for web" will give me my flash site
or just an HTML version. I am sure there is something I am
overlooking. Any help for a newbie would be greatly
appreciated.

The photos are taken from a XML file. Open the XML file flashmo_247_photo_list' in dreamweaver and look at the code it'll be easy to fiqure out if you have ever done any sort of HTML coding.

Updating from Template help needed

When I make a change to my template them update the dependent
pages I get the message "Unbalanced InstanceBegin Tag". I can see
in the dependent pages where there is two InstanceBegining and
remove it, but as soon as I update the template the double Instance
is writen and the page isn't update. Help......Make it stop

You can't use Flash's native format called .FLA to be loaded
on web server.
You need to export your work in Flash document to what is
called ".SWF" format, where you need to upload THAT .SWF file to
web server.
To work with Flash's native files, you need to have Flash app
installed on your machine. If you want to learn more about how to
work with Flash, you need to keep that topic related to Flash forum
- where you would get some better help in that forum for that
matter.

Flash CS4 Sample Templates are missing

My sample templates are missing, all that shows now are Cateregory: Advertising and different size banners. I searched my harddrive and found the rood folder where they are stored but only the folder for Advertising exist.
I haven't deleted anything, so could it have been a glitch at installation, I had startup problems with Flash constantly crashing at the splash screen and finally had to uninstall and reinstall.
Running WinXP SP3.

I do remember them being part of an earlier version maybe MX. Did some checking around as I was under the assumption they were part of CS4 due to some diagrams found on pages 264-265 of "Flash CS4: The Missing Manual". The bottom line is it is now listed in their Errata.

Edit website flash template - help needed

Hi! I am about to buy a website flash template. Before I buy the template I want to make sure, that I am good enough to edit to my needs.
I downloaded a free flash template and I tried to edit it in my Flash CS5.
I have had a lot of trouble editing it and I can't even figure out how I change the pictures or the text.
Can anyone help me and maybe give me a little tutorial on how to change the template.

Flash Matrix Code Tutorial Help Needed

Please could someone help me out with this Flash problem, I would really appreciate it.
I have followed the guide at this link to create a matrix code effect. The matrix code font file is available to download from this site also (mCode15).
Once I get this file up and running and understand how it works, I'm going to tweak it somewhat to suit my needs.
I am, however, experiencing some problems getting it to work as described in the tutorial. I have followed the tutorial to the letter, but when the flash movie file runs, only the glyph symbol that I used to create the_one and one_pod movie symbols is displayed in the code that scrolls down screen. I have embedded the font the way it describes and even added it to the library and set it to export for actionscript using the linkage option. But the matrix code that rains down is still only one symbol which never changes.
Please please help me out with this as I'm slowly losing my sanity trying to figure it out. I am using Flash CS3 on a PC to do this and the file is set up up as action script 2.0.

I accidentally replace stock "framework-res.apk' in system/framework folder with another version from different A2107 rom...now my A2107A-H freeze at smal lenovo boot logo...
i try to flash it with twrp recovery & firmware from here:

I have updated my CS4, Ppro to 4.2.1. The problem still remains. Would it have anything to do with my project setting? I don't have much knowledge to setting one up. The difference between the AVC projects and etc?
EDIT : I took the problem to my lecturer, and he didn't do anything out of the ordinary, but his "magic touch" click on the preview panel (Main composition) has made the video show up! But even after render, it won't play. But scrubbing along frames is now fixed. Any idea what's causing the no-preview-playback?

Adobe Illustrator CS4 [TAdd] Error HELP NEEDED!

I recently restored my HP Workstation and began the process of installing Adobe CS4. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until I clicked both Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat.
Adobe Illustraitor presents the [TAdd] Error while it is loading up the font menu during it's opening.
I've been looking all over for answers and so far haven't found any. Please help!

I'm not sure about the [TAdd] error, but if it's crashing while loading fonts, it's likely to be corrupt font caches.

If that doesn't help, then you can always try deleting your illustrator preferences, as they get corrupt from time to time as well.

CS4 Div Tags Help Needed

I just upgraded to CS4. In dreamweaver I am trying to build a
site that I designed in Photoshop to Dreamweaver using all Div
Tags. I can get the container to center, but when I place other
divs on top, they wont stay where I put them. I have taken absolute
positioning off, but then they fly off position totally. How to get
around this? I have tried relative, fixed and inherit, all with the
same result. I just cant figure it out. Can anyone help me?

CS4 technical requirements, help needed

I am a complete novice when it comes to stuff like this, so I apologise in advance if the question I'm about to ask may seem a bit stupid.
I saw the following technical requirements for Adobe CS4: 2GHz or faster processor for DV; 3.4GHz for HDV; dual 2.8GHz for HD
Do I need a dual core processor with at least 3.4 ghz to be able to edit HDV, or will a dual 2.8 Ghz meet all of those requirements? Essentially I am wondering if those technical requirements are in ascending order, or just specific to different tasks. Is it a matter of "the more cores the better", or do they have to have at least 3.4 GHz to be able to do the job?
There are 2 laptops I am looking at, at the moment.
Sony FW51ZF
Intel Core 2 Duo processor T9600
(2.80Ghz, 1066Mhz, 6MB Cache)
ADVENT 8555 GX
Intel Quad-Core processor Q9000
(2Ghz, 1066Mhz, 6MB Cache)

Issue with duplicated button Flash CS4...help!

I am relatively new to Flash...I am trying to figure this out.
I have button1_btn on a frame in the beginning of this animation, and on that frame I script it:
button1_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, showimage1);
function showimage1(event:MouseEvent):void {
gotoAndPlay("image1");
It works great, but I also have other buttons that eventually take a different frame where that button isn't on. So I add it to the stage in that frame and assume it will gotoAndPlay("image1") again when clicked, but when I test the movie, and click it on the later frame, nothing happens.
I tried maybe adding the original script to that frame as well, but then I test and it says I have duplicated script and doesn't work.
Why does the original script work for that button, no matter where and when it shows up? It's the same button essentially, no?
Please help!

Any instance of an item you add has to be in the presence of whatever code is working with it. So if you add a new instance in a new keyframe, it does not have that original code being assigned to it because that code was assigned just the once back where that code and the original instance is.
One way around this is to use the visible property to hide the button when you don't want it showing, but retain its presence unbroken by keyframes on the timeline. Another way is to give the button a new nstance name and code where it lies elsewhere on the timeline.

Flash Drop Down Menu Help Needed
