Flash CS5.5 or CS6 creating an interactive ebook /app for IOS

I'm in middle ground here as I'm able to create a simple app for IOS using CS5.5 and was wondering if I'm able to create an interactive IBook ( which is actually an app ) to know what I mean if you go to the Apple Book Store and download the free "Beatles" Yellow Submarine you will see the interactivity.
When I write middle ground I mean I just finished downloading CS6 and looking at some tutes so if this is possible, which I know I can get the interactivity but its just putting it in book form that I was curious about.
thx

I misunderstood you, because I'm not english speaker. But I will try to answer..
You develop 1 app. This app will include all that you wants. Page - it's just object. Each object can contain another objects. Like a tree and leafs. So you simply make 1 page with any animations. Page 2 with any animations and etc and combine this to one APP.
Here is the link, you can get free 8 pages. Will be good if you can spent $1.99  =)))

If you don't have iPad - here is a Russian video review http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=rXb2jswoz0Y
This all done using Adobe Flash CS5.5 and Exported to Adobe Air, than published to AppStore.
If you want to offer me some job in this area - just write me PM

  • Type not found: Point in Flash CS5.5 on Mac when player is AIR for iOS

I've installed the AIR 3.0 SDK as detailed by Porawee in this thread, including his corrections to the xml for iPhone further down in the thread. Everything worked at first, but since then I've rebooted my computer, and since the reboot I can no longer compile an .as file that compiled before the reboot and nothing has changed in that file. Specifically, I'm getting error 1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: Point. I've checked, and sure enough, I have an "import flash.geom.Point" line in with the other imports.
Ok, now here's the truly odd part: if I change the player from AIR for iOS to AIR 3.0, it compiles just fine. I get the same error, however, when the player is AIR for Android.
Anybody experienced/fixed this or am I re-installing Flash?

I've been poking around trying to fix this, and I discovered something... the error occurs on this line of code:
    public function GetIndexOfPointInVector(PointToFind:Point, VectorArray:Vector.<Point>):int
If I comment that function out (it's not used in this particular project), I don't get that error anymore, even though there are plenty of other Points in use in that very class. Possibly a problem with Vector typing?
edit: and now StageOrientationEvent is gone.

  • Not able to export quicktime movie from Flash CS5 or CS6.

Hi! I am not able to export quicktime movie from Flash CS5 or CS6. When I export it the progress bar is showing and says Recording Flash content and nothing happens

I havent exported any videos in the past from Flash. The movie is around 45 seconds and the size is 470KB.
I tried both, the memory and the hard drive.
In the attached image you can see the settings and in the other image you can see the progress bar that remains without something to happen.
I dont mind what type of video to export it can be also .avi but again I have troubles there. It is very large and the animation is distorted.
The animation consist from two scenes. The first one can be exported without any problem but the second one cannot be exported. May be because it has some masks layers and guide layers?

magazine web app is not supported in DPS as of now. You can share the contents to preview it on web content viewer.

  • What I need to create and publish a magazine for iOS and Android?

    Hi!
I would like to know what I need to design, create and publish a magazine for iOS and Android. I would also like to know what products I need, what price would you pay and what process I have to follow to carry out this work.
    Thanks in advance!

It is NOT possible to create a Single Edition app for Android. Single Edition apps work only on the iPad.
You can create Single Edition apps using any account—CC, Pro, or Enterprise—and if you cancel your DPS subscription, these Single Edition (or single-folio) apps are still available in the App Store as long as you maintain your iOS account with Apple.
For multi-folio apps, the app container is downloaded from an app store, but the folios are downloaded from the Adobe Distribution Service. If you cancel your DPS subscription, the Adobe Distribution Service basically shuts down for that app. New users can still download your apps from an app store, but the library will be empty. Existing users can still view the folios they've downloaded, but they can't get any updates or new folios.

No, you need XCode to compile the app and you need a Developers license to be able to publish.

  • Flash CS5.5 64 bit Air 4 Android App fails 2 install?

I'm creating a product catalog app, after finally getting the app to complile with no errors, the app ultimately will not install when downloaded to an android device.
Although it runs perfectly in the Air program when I test publish.
What "publish settings" would prompt this? : Warning: No libraries were linked as Runtime Shared Libraries (RSLs) because of your publish settings: AIR for Android
Is there any way to get debug info from the android phone?
A few notes about my app:
    1. I am using variables for all the text, loaded from the first frame so the app can have a language select option.
    2. The swf that publishes from this acts odd, it seems to ignore all my stop(); commands and just loops through the root timeline. Is this normal?
    3. I have a dynamic button in the library, with AS linkage; export for AS, Xport in Frame 1.
    Air 4 Android settings:
    Portrait
    Fullscreen
    Render: Auto
    Device Release

The app can be found here: http://divapps.parker.com/apps/android/SensoControl.Android_22.apk in case anyone wants to examine it.

  • Adobe Flash to develop apps for iOS

Hi.  Is anyone using Adobe Flash CS5 or CS5.5 to develop applications for the iOS operating system?  I'd love to hear of your experiences, particularly with regards to getting the applications onto your devices once they have been published.
    Thanks.

This forum is for general users only.  You need to post in the developer forum.

  • Ok so I've been assigned the task through my uni of creating an iPad/iphone app for clinical pharmacists to record the interventions they make in the hospital. I have experience with websites, but not app development and I'm slightly out of my league HELP

I have a completed mock-up via keynote, and have experimented with a few websites which claim to be able to create the code for me to enter into xcode 4 (which I have downloaded), but I'm a little out of my depth. Any and all help is appreciated, including if anyone is able to tell me if I could just do this as a website (the user would need to be able to enter text which they could save to their iDevice). Thanks!

As I mentioned, I'm a newbie to designing for iOS. Here's the code I have at the moment, but I don't even know where to begin for what I mentioned above.

  • Content size when creating a PDF in Numbers for iOS

I want to create a PDF document from Numbers for iOS, but it will not allow me to center content on the page or resize it to take the whole page. I can do it if I try to print a document, I can adjust the size of my content, but if I just want to create a PDF, it makes my content small and all bunched up in the top left corner and the document does not look good.

I suspect that even if you could find the mapping information (pass as to where) it would simply tell you that Style A in Fm was mapped to Style B in Rh but not give you any information about how Style A was defined in Fm.
I think your only options are to create a CSS as you suggest or, as I would, create redefine the Word Style Mapping Template to suit. By going to Word first, you can edit the output for better page breaks and other tweaking you might want.

  • Create a custom viewer app for the iPad and iPhone

This question was posted in response to the following article: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/digitalpubsuite/using/WS67cb9e293e2f1f60c5dd08612e5ea7d27f-7ff f.html

Okay, so just to clarify, once I build the viewer app (using the DPS App Builder) that I want to use with Apple products I submit it to Apple - without any folios? Then once I gain approval from Apple I will be given the proper information to publish folios to the app? May seem like a dumb question but the reason I ask this is because currently I cannot see any of the folios that I have created in the testing/developer app. - even though they have been uploaded to the folio producer and are listed as public and free. This is the part that is still "fuzzy" to me. When do I submit the viewer app for Apple consideration/approval?

  • Can Someone Please Help Me Create a Blog Reader App For My Blog?

Hi ! I am trying to create a blog reader app by using RSS feed for my blog. I found this tutorial on MSDN here Create a Blog Reader using C# and XAML

  • Create Task with C# - App for SharePoint 2013

    Hi everyone,
I need to create an app that can manage holiday for my company and we want to sync the demand Holiday with their tasks in Project Server 2013.
Unfortunatly, I cannot find how to add a task with an "App for SharePoint 2013" and in C#.
I've tried to add the task by entering an entry in the Project Server database but unfortunatly, it does not work.
Are there an other way to create task programmatically in Project Server 2013 ?
    Thanks by advance,
    Patmol

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to use resource files in your SharePoint app project.
Here is an article for your reference:

Code sample: SharePoint 2013: Localize the app web, host web, and remote components of an app
