Flash CS5: Export SWC doesn't work

Could anyone help me with this problem. I have Flash CS5 and I'm trying to export SWC from it to use as a library with Flex SDK (FlashDevelop). I have "Export SWC" checked in publish settings and for a while it worked. Now, even if it still is checked, SWC isn't created (at least in the same directory as SWF). I even tried creating a completely new FLA and copied everything from the old library in there. Still it doesn't work.

I periodically run into this issue too. I tried various 'voodoo' practices like:
removing old versions of the exported files first
reverting to "Use Default Names" on the Formats tab
adding HTML as a Type
removing HTML as a Type
un-checking "Include XMP metadata"
But I still haven't found out what makes or breaks the magical SWC export...
I'm using Flash CS5 Professional 11.0.2.489 on a PC
Publishing as AS3, Player 10
The .fla is quite large, 7,200 KB,
The resulting .swf is 1,808 KB...
still no swc...
Anyone else have any tips on this issue?

This implies your site is not properly defined in DW. Go to Site > Manage Sites.
Or simply go to your other installation of DW and export the site definition file from Manage Sites.
Save it to a flash stick or other removable drive. Then import the STE file into your 2nd installation of DW.

In photoshop CS5, Brush tool doesn't work on an adjustment layer

I Created an adjustment (Curves) layer and did the curves adjustment. Then I did an Edit Fill (Normal Mode, 100% Opacity and Use: Black).
I then try to use the brush tool, but it doesn't work. I've done this hundreds of times before and suddenly it's not working. Rebooted the system, but that didn't help.
I know how to do a screen shot, but it doesn't paste onto this screen. How do I get that to you?

I know, especially stupid that it doesn't work in stabilisation mode as its often that mode used in lower light situations that would benefit from the flash... have no idea why BB doesn't allow US to chose when we want a certain function.

You appear to have it installed twice. Your system specs show you have both Shockwave Flash 9.0 r28 and Shockwave Flash 10.2 r159 installed.
What I suggest you do here is to uninstall Flash using Adobe's uninstaller which you can download from here: [http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe uninstall_flash_player.exe]
Close Firefox before you run the uninstaller, then reboot.
Then manually install Flash using this file: [http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe install_flash_player.exe] Close Firefox again before you run it.

Are you printing from the Flash right-click menu or through Firefox? I don't think Firefox prints Flash regions when you print the entire page.

Export CSV doesn't work with several line

Your problem is probably the value of the "Max Row Count" element in the "Report Attributes". If the value is empty, you will be able to export only a limited number of records (500?). Set this value to a bigger number that exceeds the number of rows you will ever need to export and the export will than work as you expect.

Flash CS6: Code hinting doesn't work in AS3 document

Hi,
For some reason code hinting is not working at all in an AS3 class document in Flash CS6. It works fine on the timeline. For instance:
1. Create a new AS3 class, name it "MyClass"
2. Save the doc immediately (in CS5 code hinting would not work until the class file was saved)
3. After "class MyClass" I type " extends Movi" and press Ctrl+Space, expecting to see hints for "MovieClip" etc like it did in CS5. In CS6 I get nothing. If I type out the whole word "MovieClip" and press Ctrl+Space I still get no hints.
What might be wrong?

I'm sorry but I don't even have Flash CS6. I still use CS5.5 because I use Flash Builder 4.6 for everything I do. I merely use Flash Pro to generate quick libraries full of goodies and export a SWC to use in Flash Builder.
I realize it's obvious but you did ensure your preferences had hinting both enabled and the delay set low (or zero)? I can only show you a CS5.5 preference panel, I'm not sure if it's the same. Note one important thing in this photo which is "Cache size". I have mine on 800 files which seems to be fine. If you're pointing toward a HUGE library of classes you may want to increase that number and check completion again.

Flash CS3 Export SWC hangs forever...

I've recently upgraded from Studio 8 to CS3 and it seems that
I can no longer export SWCs from symbols in my library. Flash just
hangs indefinitely every time I have attempted it. The FLA was
originally created with Studio 8 and uses AS2. Anyone else seeing
this issue? Anyone know who to remedy it?

I think it's because demo versions don't allow you to save
anything. Being able to export to quicktime would be like giving
you a free copy of the work you created in the free demo. Maybe if
that function was available, Adobe thinks people wouldn't buy the
real version :P

UpDated Flash Player last week doesn't work previous ver worked fine

I updated last week when it prompted me to, now websites that i used to use will not work. it just gives me a blank area where the flash animation should be. I have figured out that it has something to do with my firewall. When i disable the firewall flash works with it running it doesn't. I have tested this with http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ . I don't understand why this ver is causing my firewall to block it. I have all the permission i need and the install was run as admin. I have tried reinstalls and using C/Windows/System32/Macromedia/Flash. I think i just need to change a setting on my firewall but i can't find where the addon is since i'm using firefox, i wish i never updated
setup: Vista Bus, Firefox, CA firewall, Flash Ver 10.0.22.87

I have the same problem...I downloaded around noon today and have been trying to figure out all day what is going on. You're situation sounds identical to mine. I was going to play a game that I play regularly and I got in just fine this morning and then at noon it told me to download an updated version of Flash Player I did and it still doesn't work. I really hope someone can answer the question.

Hi, You didn't say what operating system or browser(s) you are using. If you are using IE, go to your manage add ons
and look for Shockwave Flash Object..and see if Flash10e.ocx is listed with it and it is Enabled. If you use FF, find the plug-in SWF and it is 10.0.45.2 and enabled.
You can also check your Flash files to see if all of the old FP was removed and the new was installed.

Updating flash player and still doesn't work.

Recently, my games on Facebook and Youtube stopped working and prompted me to upgrade my flash player.
It included the link to Adobe, as do all the sites that require it.
So, I did. It says install successful, but it doesn't work. When I check to see if any version is installed, I see the red x. Please help.
I'm using Windows XP Version 2002 Service Pack 3
I.E. 8 32 bit.
P.S. I can use Firefox and Chrome, but I don't like the quality of how Flash Player runs on them.

Flashing in Windows Modes doesn't work

I'm running Windows Vista Business, and when I try to update my BIOS in windows mode, it fails.
I'm using MSI Live Monitor 3. After finding the bios (1.5), I use "windows mode" to flash.
A command-line window comes up, and I can see everything getting flashed. However, after it's done it reboots automatically. After both the initial splash-scrren and the SATA-screen showing my drives, I get an CMOS checksum failed error, and I can either start fiddleing with the setting themselves, or just use defaults.
I've tried both.
And after both times, after I get back to windows again, Live Monitor 3 says it has an update for me - bios 1.5. So I can only conclude it wasn't installed, somehow.
Before doing the install, I closed ALL programs, except windows itself. (I'm saying this, because Live Monitor 3 wishes me to close it..........)
I cannot flash via a floppy-drive because I don't have one.
Another problem is that DigiCell keeps telling med: "Failed to load driver". I have no idea what it even IS, but I'd just like to see what free software I get. :P
Thirdly, has anyone heard of problems with external USB drives and MSI mobo's? I have a 500gb My Book drive that throws I/O errors in Vista, but not in XP on another PC...
My PC is:
MSI P965 Platinum,
2.13ghz Core 2 Duo,
2048mb DDR2 RAM, 533 Mhz

It is indeed updated to 1.5 - I just didn't notice, since I had the full-logo thing on.
I also updated the drivers, but unfortunately that didn't help. :-(
I've been trying since friday to fix this both on the WD forum (http://websupport.wdc.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5948) and on Microsoft's tech forum (http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.vista.hardware_devices&tid=dc8d09ab-0d98-452c-b2d3-a0948f756dda&cat=en_us_9F280F8D-E6BF-F78C-234A-416CF09D5DC5&lang=en&cr=US&sloc=en-us&m=1&p=1)
but we've still been unable to fix it...
To be honest, I don't think it has anything to do with hardware. The drive doesn't work properly on this PC (MSI / Vista) but does on my laptop (Dell / XP), but it has to be checked...
Basically, it keeps throwing 0x8007045D I/O errors, but I can see noone in here has had similar problems.

Flash Player 11.04 doesn't work

After succesfully using prior isues of Flash Player for ages, the latest version (11.04 for Mac) doesn't work for me. The message "Blocked Plug-in" apppears wherever an Flash Player image should be.... even though the recently downloaded plug-in is in the plug-in folder.
