Flash CS6 exported mov color issue

Hi, I'm using Flash CS6 in mac, I realized that when I export the animation to mov (tested different codec), the color will be lighter, please see the bellowing screenshot.
Does anyone have the same issue? how to solve it?
Thanks a lot!
PY

I've got around this issue, by exporting from Ai to SWF. Its a shame the Import Ai to Flash Library seems to be doing this to quite a few of my vector illustrations. where only 1 or 2 curves are being lost when it comes to export but work fine within the Flash workspace.

    Thank You for your reply.
I follow your instructions and found the file, but what are you suggesting to do with the file, delete it? And then rename the file to Toolkit_for_createJS.zxp and loaded it again on adobe extension manager?

  • Flash CS6 Export

Is it possible to export video in Flash CS6 the same way that you can with Flash CC?  I do not see the option in the File drop down menu.

You'd need to ask in the Flash Professional Forum, but as far as I know, it's the same.
That's a Mac menu, but it's the same in Windows

  • CS4 to CS6 After Effects Color Issue with Linked Photoshop Files

Hi, I just recently converted a CS4 project into CS6 and everything work wonderfully except that the photoshop files are different in color.  I know this because I took screenshots of the video I was working with and edited them in Photoshop before importing them back in to the project so I know the color should match.  This screenshot may help (as you can see I've increased the brightness and contrast in the affected area so that you may see what is happening.  There is a Photoshop layer that is covering up a number of scratches on the guiter (it is very beat up) and in the original (CS4) project they hid them perfectly while in the CS6 project they are clearly there.
I am not sure why the Photoshop files are acting differently but they are.  I need to re-export, please help if possible.  Thank you so much.  Jason.

In Bridge, my color settings are shown as synchronized (some kind of universal deal I guess), but the Photoshop files and the After Effects file are not color managed.  What is confusing me is how completely "not color managed" files can interpret RGB values for anything different than their face value?
    My Workaround (Not a Solution):
In light of how specific this problem is, I've decided to simply match the Photoshop files to the After Effects footage with a gamma adjustment using a levels effect.  For this situation settings the levels to .88 corrected the problem.  However, exporting the project from Premiere results in a darker movie file than the orginal so I was forced to correct the gamma on the export as well.  The new export (after the corrections) looks less appealing to me but as a standalone product is acceptable.

  • Flash CS3- exported movie cuts off right side edge of my fonts

I made a movie in Flash CS3. The exported SWF shows that the right hand side of some of my letterforms (made from a non-converted font) are clipped off. Switching fonts produces similar results. Is there some glitch in the program that I am no aware of?
    Thank you-

Oh I see. No, it's just short words, upper and lower case. Nothing else as you described. The text was typeset in Flash.
I did some further testing, like switching fonts (again), enlarging the text bounding box, exporting the movie without anti-alias, converting the text to a shape (break apart twice), all to no avail. Most curious.
I should add that the text displays perfect in the .fla file. Just buggers up when I export to a .swf.

  • Export quicktime movie from Flash CS6 hangs

I am trying to export a very short flash animation as a quicktime video from Flash CS6 but when the "Recording Flash Content" progress bar gets to the end nothing happens. I am able to click cancel and the x but nothing has been created for me.
If I wait long enough I get the error message "The export operation failed because it ran out of memmory" How can I fix this?

    Hi Tomlijagogo,
Can you try the solutions in this post? Flash CS6, QuickTime: The export operation failed because it ran out of memory.

  • Adobe Flash CS6 movie test issue.

I've been having trouble in Flash CS6 using AS2. I have created a character with an idle animation and a walking animation. If I try to test either of them (Ctrl-Enter) it just shows the first frame. It was working when i had only one set of animations, but after adding a second it seems to have stopped working. The main reason I find this odd is because I have not added any code into the actions yet, so the reason can't be faulty code.

by default, only your main timeline plays.
only animation/text/graphics that's attached to the main timeline will display.  only code that's attachded to the main timeline will execute (unless you use class files).
HOWEVER, anything (like animation/text/code) that's in a movieclip, as long as that movieclip is attached to the main timeline, will also be displayed and execute.
so keystroke code could be attached to the main timeline.  it could also be in a movieclip and that movieclip is attached to the main timeline.
note:  just because nesting code in timelines will work does not make it a good idea.  in fact, it's a bad idea.  the only code should be on nested timelines is stop(),play() and gotoAndStop() and gotoAndPlay()
p.s.  nesting animations is a central part of animation with flash.

  • Flash Pro Exporting Issues

Hello everyone. I recently have been working on a Flash animation. Throughout the making of this animation Flash has been failing, getting "unknown errors," and just plain corrupting some of my files. Now I understand that a 200MB is a rather large animation. But anyway's I have been constantly duplicating my .fla's because of just how unreliable Flash seems to be acting when it comes to this. Finally I decided enough is enough and tried to export it. Heck, I was just going to split the animation into 2 parts if it makes Flash happy and saves my hard work from corruption. I finally found one of the backup files that is moderately new. However upon attempting to export as a QuickTime it reads
"The export failed because the operation ran out of memory."
I have tried everything to get this to work. It should work! And it shouldn't be this difficult. I'm hearing stuff about how Flash apparently fails when it comes to exporting 1920 x 1080. Is this true? In that forum I read somebody said Adobe was working on fixing it. That forum has been up since around last summer. Has anybody found a solution to this issue? I just want what I've worked very hard on to work. Please help.
(P.S. I'm on a Mac, and this is Flash Pro CS6)

My recommendation is to bypass the QT movie export completely and use one of these effective workarounds. If you were to get an export to succeed, you'd find that the framerate is completely whacked and you can't use it effectively in any non-linear editing environment. QuickTime is not a stable export movie format ever since Adobe bought Flash. I'm an animation filmmaker, and this is a workaround that I and my professional friends use:
    OPTION 1:
    1) export an image sequence using the PNG format, no compression, best quality. Give yourself a short frame name with an underscore after it, like "myfile_.png"
    2) take the sequence of PNGs and do either one of these options:
a - use QuickTime Pro to import image sequence. Open your audio file with QT, it createsit's own file, then copy it, and then use QT manager to add it in to your video file. EXPORT a new QT using PNG compression (or other). Close/do not save this initial compiled edit. Your exported fil is the final and useable one, and is frame stable. Done.
b - import your PNG sequence into any non-linear editor, having set it's internal preferences to import stills so they last only 1 frame each. Most, like FCP or Premiere, you can also import as a media sequence or "footage" but that pre-applies a supposed FPS rate when imported. Again, you can now compile a video/audio edit and then export.
    OPTION 2:
    1) use SWIVEL, a free app that converts SWF files into movies, including QuickTime.
    2) publish an SWF without any compression/jpg high quality /audio included
    3) import into Swivel.
    4) set video qualities. Codec should be QuickTime ANIMATION
    5) set audio qualities
    6) Export, done.
    Hope this helps!

  • Disable Context Menu - Flash Professional Export (Flash 11.2 - CS6)

Flash 11.2 added the capability to attach an right-click mouse-event to MovieClips.
    EX:
    var mc:MovieClip = new MovieClip
    mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.RIGHT_MOUSE_DOWN, myFunction);
When this listener is attached, it should be impossible for the Context Menu to pop up on right-click of this object. Flash disables the functionality.
When I export a new SWF from Flash Professional (CS6 Mac) and that SWF is embedded in the browser, it works as expected. Right-click does not spawn a context menu.
However, this is not the case with the flash player within Flash Professional. The flash player presented within Flash Professional just after export will does not hide the context menu.
While it's possible for me to develop by simply exporting the SWF and testing it in-browser, I lose out on all the debugging that Flash Professional offers.
How do I fix this issue?
    NOTE:
This issue isn't with exporting to 11.2 - I can already do that. All changes mentioned in this tutorial have already been made with base install of Flash Professional CS6.
    running:
    trace(flash.system.Capabilities.version)
    results in:
    MAC 11,2,202,228

    I've got the same problem!
I'm currently using Adobe Flash CS6 and I don't gave an idea of how to deploy my apps to be published on the Mac App Store!
If you find the answer, please, let me know!
    Here's my email: [email protected]
    Thanks a lot!

  • Color Picker in Flash CS6 Changing My Picked Color

    Program: Flash CS6
    OS: Mountain Lion
    Hardware: Intel MacBook Pro 2012
    Steps to recreate issue:
    1. Paint a color on the stage (brown seems to have the most dramatic results)
    2. Use the color picker to sample the (brown) color from the stage
    3. Use the paint bucket to apply the selected color to the stage
Result: the color painted from the sample color is not the color that has been originally sampled.
If you then sample the new color you have just applied, it again changes the color. Repeating this process over and over again eventually turns the color into the brightest red on the color palette.
Is anyone else have this issue or know how to correct it?
UPDATED: Attached is a link to the video of the issue in progress. For whatever reason my cursor doesnt show up correctly in the video, but what I am doing is using the color picker to sample the color and then painting the sampled color. As you can see from the video, the color becomes more and more red until it maxs out, even though I am just sampling the same color over and over again. The color on the left is the control color (the one that I originally sample) and the color on the right illustrates the bug.

I'm updating this thread mainly because it's the only thread I could find that describes my exact issue. I am having this problem. When I select a color using the color picker, it settles on a different, lighter color. THIS HAPPENS EVEN WHEN I ENTER THE HEX CODE VALUE. It's like Flash is auto-correcting a problem that doesn't exist. Help? This is becoming a serious problem for me!
Also Flash CS6, Mac OS X (10.8.2). The monitor I'm using shouldn't be relevant; Flash is literally changing the hex code value after I type it in or select it.
EDIT: Just did some research, found out that Flash isn't 10.8 compatible. When is that going to be fixed?

  • After installing iTunes, Flash no longer exports .MOV format...

    Hi -
I have been using Flash 8 to do animated titling for my podcasts.
But after installing iTunes 7, Flash 8 will no longer export .MOV format. It tells me a Quicktime compenent cannot be found.
Also, QuickTime Pro will not actually play Flash .SWF files. Not sure if this worked before, I never tried it. But it seems to be a QuickTime feature that doesn't work on my machine.
    Flash 8
    iTunes 7.0.0.70
    QuickTime Pro 7.1.3
    Any suggestiones or explanations?
I really need to export my Flash animations to .MOV format. It's part of my work scheme. Workarounds cause loss of quality.
    Thanks,
    Dave Ferreira
    ([email protected])

Recent security issues has had QuickTime 7.1.3 Player set Flash (inside .mov files) to "disabled".
Any user can re-enable Flash inside .mov files by checking a box in the QuickTime Control Panel (PC) or System Preferences (Mac).
QuickTime Player uses a much older version of Flash and only allows those "published" as version 5, or lower, be used.
The security issues are real. The solution for those of us that use Flash (.swf) inside our QuickTime content is more complex.
If a solution isn't reached between Apple and Adobe about a more modern use of Flash inside QuickTime files I plan on adding a text description (on my Web pages) for the steps to re-enable Flash functionality in my QuickTime files that use Flash.

  • Flash CS4, Exporting Quicktime Movie: size, aspect ratio, and alignment

I am new to Flash so this may be a basic question, but I have not been able to find anything in the help files or the forums.
I have tried several times to change the size of my quicktime movies, from 550 pixels by 400 pixels to 480 pixels by 480 pixels, and I cannot seem to do it. I have used "Modify > Document" and tried every option I could find through this command. Each time I export I double check that the export settings match my desired size, and they do, but when I open the movie in quicktime, it has been stretched to fit 550 x 400 pixels. The preview movie looks exactl how I want, it is only the exported movie that is incorrect.
Is it possible to make a quicktime movie of the size I would like, or is that a standard format that cannot be adjusted?
As a workaround, I have tried squeezing my 480x480 content into the 550x400 stage (while scaling it prportionally). but when I do this, the square of content is not centered in the background in quicktime. It is off center in the preview movie as well, and this commonly occurs after I have used "modify > document" to change the size of the document. The side to which it is aligned seems to be inconsistent.
Is there a way to realign the video after I have modified the document size? Does changing the document size through "modify > document" affect the centering and alignment of my video? Is there a way to change it back?
I have attached images of my videos in flash, and then what they look like after export.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
    -Ben

    to explain a little further . . .
the dark gray areas in my images delineate the content of the animation, and in the "550x400 after export" image, the black strip to the right is a margin showing the background color of the document, which is black. notice that there is only a margin on one side, and not both.
    Thanks some more,
    -Ben

  • Issues with Creative Cloud/ Flash CS6

Hello, I've recently (Friday, March 15, 2013) restarted my subscription to Creative Cloud for Flash Pro CS6, but I haven't been able to open the application.
However, I've contacted tech support (by phone and chat), but I still couldn't get any luck.
What I've already tried (numerous times), but failed:
Uninstalling and reinstalling Flash though the app manager
Opening it through creative.adobe.com (still had the option for to "Try" it only)
    Updating Flash CS6
    Rebooting my PC
    Rebooting internet connection
Opening Flash on another PC (still no luck)
No matter what I tried, it kept taking me to the page requesting a serial code, when I'm supposed to have a subscription. I've had previous subscriptions to Creative Cloud and never had this problem until now.  What's really worse is, that the payment has already been posted and taken out of my card and yet I can't use what I paid for. It's an extremely unsavory feeling to pay $30.00 for something you can't even use. Sorry to sound blunt, but I could really use some help  (or a refund) to resolve this issue. I'd also appreciate it if you could let me know if you're having a similar issue and/or know of a workaround to the problem!
Thank you and have a nice day!
    Crystal

I've tried your suggestion, but unfortunately, I couldn't even get past the third step because I still wasn't able to open Flash, even when I did follow the first two steps. Just a thought: I have Photoshop Elements 9 installed, but I know that it's not part of CS, but could it possibly be something with PSE 9 interfering with the app manager? Though, I have had PSE 9, a trial of Illustrator CS5, and a subscription to CC for Flash CS6 installed on my computer once before, I had no problem whatsoever. But now I just have PSE 9 and (Flash CS6). I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the issue I'm having, but I just wanted to make sure.
Anyway, I really appreciate your help! Thank you!

  • My Adobe Flash CS6 Color Picker has ODD colors. I'm using Mac Mini OSX 10.8.1. Is there a fix?

My Adobe Flash CS6 Color Picker has ODD colors. I'm using Mac Mini OSX 10.8.1. Is there a fix?
I click on the color picker and where I have seen the normal #0000ff blue color on my windows computer, this mac Mountain lion version shows a purple-ish color. Oddly, If I enter the hex # into the color picker, and use it as a fill, the correct color displays on the stage but when i use the eyedropper on that color, it shows it as the purple color again on the toolbar.
I've seen a similar thing like this happen when using adobe photoshop. However, the usual solution is to just make the managed color profile set to monitor RGB. The only downside with Flash is there is no preference to set that. The color palette in Adobe Photoshop displays as it should with the correct blue.
I should also note that I'm using a Samsung 941bw monitor with my mac mini which could also be part of the problem.
I figured i'd make this post anyway just in case it's the OS & Adobe Flash CS6 and not the monitor.
I've included a screenshot as well that shows that i've chosen the purple color and then made a rectangle shape on the stage and it comes out blue.
    Thanks ahead for your response(s)

Seems misleading that on the adobe site for Adobe Flash CS6 it says:
    System requirements:
Mac OS X v10.6.8 or v10.7. Adobe Creative Suite 5, CS5.5, and CS6 applications support Mac OS X Mountain Lion (v10.8) when installed on Intel based systems.**
