Flash CS6 Installer Issue

Hi,
I have recently tried downloading the trial version of CS6 Flash for Mac. When I click to download, the installer tries to install Flash Player. I have no idea why, CS6 Flash is nowhere to be found in its contents.
I have Mac OS X v. 10.7.4.
EDIT: I've resolved the issue myself; it appears I just needed an Adobe ID. Apologies.

  • CS6 installation issues on my desktop, but not my laptop?

    I recently purchased CS6 Production Premium, and am attempting to install it. I've installed Premiere on my laptop, as that and Affter Effects are the only programs I would conceivably need on it; the bulk of the programs are for my desktop computer.
    However, upon attempting to install, I get the "Installer failed to initialize" error. I know that there are questions relating to this already, but I feel that the two-computer scenario gives me enough info that the issue should be significantly narrowed down.
    If it helps, here are the potentially-relevant differences between the two computers:
    1) The desktop is 2009 and originally ran Vista, but now runs 7. The laptop is newer and runs 7.
    2) The desktop already has Adobe Flash CS3 installed; Flash CS6 is incidentally included in this new package.
    I'm kind of expecting that the presence of Flash CS3 is the main impediment to installing, but that's speculation on my part. Any thoughts on the issue? Would uninstalling Flash CS3 resolve this?

    I checked my specs, and everything seems to be fine. The only things it doesn't meet are the recommendations for Adobe SpeedGrade, which I don't plan on using.

  • Flash CS6 publishing issue using accordion plug-in

    I apologize if I have limited info on this issue. i'm providing remote support and my user is only providing limited intel...
    I have a user running Flash CS6 and has designed a site using the accordion plug-in with XML. When she publishes it from her Mac (10.6.8) then views it the SWF doesn't play nicely. The buttons function for a short period then freeze. She had another user open and publish from a PC using CS5 it works fine. They've compared the code between the 2 and there are supposedly no differences. She has this problem when publishing from CS4 as well (again, on Mac, 10.6.8). To add to the confusion, I've been sent the URL to both her version published from the Mac, supposedly not working correctly, and the version published from the PC. I've tested them both in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox on my Mac, and Chrome, Firefox, and IE on my PC and I'm not seeing any issues.
    Anyone have any ideas?

    Most accordion components I know need an additional xml file to fill them up with content.
    This must be loaded properly into the swf, to make it show sth.
    if you only have a swf file to test, its likely that the xml was left out.

  • InDesign CS6 installation issue

    We used the Adobe Download Manager to get a trial of InDesign CS6.
    After the download completed the user was prompted to restart the computer.
    We rebooted the system the Adobe Download Manager did not start again but we found the folder where the bits were saved and have tried to run the Set-up.exe from there.
    We can launch the Set-up.exe using Run As Administrator but nothing happens.\
    The process consumes approx 8 MB of RAM and does not provide a visible window to open or bring to the foreground.
    What steps are needed to install this trial?
    No instructions are included in the folder where the download was saved.

    Are you using the Adobe Download Assistant to download the software or the Adobe Application Manager?  Assuming the install files downloaded properly you can review any errors which occured when you invoked the installer by following the steps listed at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

  • Adobe Flash 11 Installation issues

    Hello,
    I have been trying to install and use Adobe Flash for the last couple of days with no sucess.  I have trolled through the forum to try and find the answer but have come up empty.  Here is the sympton:
    I install Adobe Flash 11 and when I try to use a site that requires Adobe Flash, the site asks me to download Adobe. It was working perfectly and I noticed the other day that is just stopped.
    Here's my configuration:
    Windows 7
    IE 9
    Steps already taken:
    Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Uninstaller:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
    Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Installer for IE- use the EXE Installer
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
    Close all browser windows, you only want to be looking at your Desktop.
    Disable any messenger services, as yahoo, msn, etc in the system tray(area near the clock)
    Be sure to use the Administrator Account.
    Run the Uninstaller and when finished, Reboot(restart) your computer.
    Now go to the Flash SysWOW64 location and make sure there are no Flash files other than a text doc. If there are Flash Files there, Run the Uninstaller again & recheck. You want all Flash files removed before running the Installer.If you have to Run the Uninstaller again, then Reboot again.
    Run the Installer for IE, and when finished, Reboot.
    Then go to this test site and test each browser:
    http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

  • Flash CS6 adl issue

    I'm working on an Air for iOS app in Flash.  Up until last night I was using Flash CS5.5 to do the work.  I upgraded to CS6 last night and now when I attempt to run the project from within flash, the stage is displayed wrong.  I get a 1024x768 adl window with all of the graphic elements shifted 50% out of frame on the top while width is unaffected.  What's even more strange is that the hit zones for buttons are still in the proper positioning within the adl window, but all the graphics are off the screen....
    Has anyone else experienced this?
    If so, is there a work around?
    I have gone through the publish process and it still works fine on an iPad even though the preview on the desktop is out of wack.
    Having to publish and test on my device is really hampering workflow....
    EDIT TO ADD:
      Ok, I've found a work around, it appears it's a bug where having the render mode set to GPU or Direct causes it to center on the portrait orientation Y axis regardless of the forced orientation in the Air 3.2 for iOS settings.

    Hi,
    I have Nokia 6630. I downloaded flash lite
    2.1(flashlite2_1_symbian_s60V2_FP3.sis) from adobe and when I tried
    to install the .sis file, I got the following error message "Model
    of phone not supported. Installation cancelled". But in the
    applications folder I see a program called Flash Player, whose
    status is 'installed'. Moreover, I couldn't see any flash icon in
    the menu.. So I am confused..what should I do, to install flash
    lite 2.1 succesfully and view swf files on my phone(NOKIA 6630)?

  • AS3, Flash CS6 Button Issue

    I'm using the code below to have button "legalBtn" access the layer and instance name of "legalOverlay." Then after the legalese has been read, the enduser can close the "legalOverlay" via "closeBtn" and return to the last frame of the banner ad.  The code below has no compiler errors, but the "legalBtn" is still not working. Any ideas?
        import flash.events.MouseEvent;
        function init(){
            legalBtn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, legalClick);
            legalBtn.visible=true;
            legalOverlay.clickthru.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK);
            legalOverlay.clickthru.buttonMode=true;
            legalOverlay.closeBtn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK);
            legalOverlay.closeBtn.buttonMode=true;
            legalOverlay.visible=false;
            function legalClick(e:MouseEvent){
                if(legalOverlay.visible==true){
                legalOverlay.visible=false;
                } else {
                legalOverlay.visible=true;
        stop();

    Seems too easy, but I don't see that you're calling init() in order to actually add the listener to legalBtn.

  • Flash Player Installation Issue

    First of all, my problem started by getting some spyware that
    I was having trouble eliminating. I downloaded and ran a number of
    different removal tools and after some time was finally able to get
    rid of it. However, along the way, one of the removal tools messed
    with my Flash settings and now I'm having some trouble. Now, some
    Flash pages display fine while others do not. The situation is
    always the same with ones that do not. I go to the page and it
    informs me that I need to have the latest Flash Player enabled in
    my browser and that if I do not have Flash installed I can go
    "here" to download it. Which in turn takes me to the Macromedia
    Flash Player Download Center. I click "Install Now" and it tells me
    "Macromedia Flash Player successfully installed" - "Version
    8,0,24,0 installed successfully". The problem is that my browser
    never recognizes the install. Every visit back to the webpage I was
    initially trying to access keeps giving me the same message that I
    need to install the latest version of Flash and that I can go
    "here" to download it. I called tech support and they walked me
    through this same install only to tell me that it appears that it
    is installing correctly and that the problem is with my browser or
    PC. I know that's the problem, my question is how do I correct this
    in my browser or PC????

  • Dreamweaver CS6 installation stalls at AdobeHelp

    I am having Dreamweaver CS6 installation issues:
    Tried installing via Creative Cloud 5 times--and installation kept stalling.
    Tried Trial version 3 times--and installation stalls at AdobeHelp -- 24%. the "minutes remaining" keeps going up from 9 minutes to 43 minutes and beyond.
    Have tried closing & re-opening Adobe Application Manager, re-downloading, using Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, rebooting, etc. & same issue keeps happening.
    Any advice?
    On a PC with Vista 32 Home Premium

    SOLVED.
    I discovered that in Program Files/Adobe there was an old Adobe Help folder from a previous Trial install, never activated. All the folder contents had a 2011 date--so that must have have stalled the new installation.

  • Re Installing Flash CS6 issues. It installs, but I can't use the program properly. I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times

    Hi,
    I accidentally uninstalled Flash CS6. When I reinstalled it (using a download found here on the Adobe website: Download CS6 products) I was unable to move the window around my screen. There was no window "boarder", it was only a white box that I couldn't move from the upper left corner. Also there were no toolbars. My first thought was to check in the Window options, but despite my clicking on the various options nothing popped up. I also tried changing the window display options on my computer, thinking that maybe the window header was stuck somewhere "off screen" in a place I couldn't see. I also tried toggling with the "paste board" option in flash. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled flash CS multiple times, and each time its always the same.
    This is really weird, I think I've tried practically everything. I just really want to talk to Adobe on the phone but they don't let you do that.
    Here's a screenshot of what my screen looks like

  • Issues with Creative Cloud/ Flash CS6

    Hello, I've recently (Friday, March 15, 2013) restarted my subscription to Creative Cloud for Flash Pro CS6, but I haven't been able to open the application.
    However, I've contacted tech support (by phone and chat), but I still couldn't get any luck.
    What I've already tried (numerous times), but failed:
    Uninstalling and reinstalling Flash though the app manager
    Opening it through creative.adobe.com (still had the option for to "Try" it only)
    Updating Flash CS6
    Rebooting my PC
    Rebooting internet connection
    Opening Flash on another PC (still no luck)
    No matter what I tried, it kept taking me to the page requesting a serial code, when I'm supposed to have a subscription. I've had previous subscriptions to Creative Cloud and never had this problem until now.  What's really worse is, that the payment has already been posted and taken out of my card and yet I can't use what I paid for. It's an extremely unsavory feeling to pay $30.00 for something you can't even use. Sorry to sound blunt, but I could really use some help  (or a refund) to resolve this issue. I'd also appreciate it if you could let me know if you're having a similar issue and/or know of a workaround to the problem!
    Thank you and have a nice day!
    Crystal

    I've tried your suggestion, but unfortunately, I couldn't even get past the third step because I still wasn't able to open Flash, even when I did follow the first two steps. Just a thought: I have Photoshop Elements 9 installed, but I know that it's not part of CS, but could it possibly be something with PSE 9 interfering with the app manager? Though, I have had PSE 9, a trial of Illustrator CS5, and a subscription to CC for Flash CS6 installed on my computer once before, I had no problem whatsoever. But now I just have PSE 9 and (Flash CS6). I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the issue I'm having, but I just wanted to make sure.
    Anyway, I really appreciate your help! Thank you!
