Flash Design Review
Hi
I have designed hanging flash menu for my web design web site
Hope this is compatible with all web browers
Please give your comment on this unique flash design

It's cute but Flash for navigation is pure poison because many browsers don't support it. Most notably Apple iPad, iPhone & iTouch do not support Flash. How will those users navigate your site?
For all practical purposes, Flash is dead as a web technology except for gaming sites and special device apps.
I think a better choice is CSS styled menus to support the majority of users. If you want to add some animation to your site, look at HTML5, CSS3 transitions and JavaScript

Help: do you know how this flash design was made?
Hi,
I am planning to do some portfolio site using flash and need
help how to start.
I have seen some sites including like
http://www.metmuseum.org/explore/cezannes_apples/look.html
If you click "Let's look closely" and pop-up window opens.
This flash design is what I like to know.
Could you give me some basic idea how to start this kind of
flash design?
It looks like
-if click zoom in buttom, image zoom in, and at the same
time, a kind of guide box in the small image appears, and I can
click+drag the guide box through the image.
This kind of design is used on some other museum sites and
portfolio sites. It seems like very useful design.
Do I need to know action scripts for this design? Any advice
or suggestion would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
PS: In case if I cannot talk about a specific web site like
this in this Forum, please let me know.GAMBRKER, Thanks for your comment. I know what you meant. I
know about flash design but didn't work for a while.
GAMBRKER or anyone else,
- I will import quite big Bitmap image and save as
Graphic-Symbol
-Then, if I click a button(zoom in), what action script could
be make image bigger(zoom in)?
I have some knowledge of flash design. But not sure I could
make this idea to real flash design... -

1 - Flash Video will be supported in Flash Lite 3, due mid
year and probably on phones by the end of the year
2 - Available to develoeprs: it means that you can download a
FL player for that phone from Adobe
Available to Consumer: it means that the phone is FL enabled,
the player is already integrated on the phone OS
3 - the 6630 supports FL player, which means that you can
install the FL player provided by Adobe. So it's not really your
target device do commercial FL content. Target devices are the one
that are FL enabled. You cannot set the FL content as screensaver
in the 6630. Nokia S40 have that feature. But you cna for sure
develop screensavers and wallpapers.

Edit width + height of friends flash design?
Hi, I am having a problem editing the width and height of a
friend's flash design. (By the way, I haven't done flash in a very
long time, so I don't remember a lot of features.) Basically, what
I want to do is change the whole flash effect to 800 by 200.
Currently, the design is 450 by 253. How can I change it?
Here is what I tried. First I selected "Edit Multiple Frames"
and then clicked "Modify Onion Markers" and selected the "Onion
All" option. Then I just changed the width and height in
properties. Nothing appeared to change except the handles moved.
(By handles I mean when you use the free transform tool the handles
appear to allow you to resize the object.) Nothing changed. After
this I just tried to change the width and height without the "Edit
Multiple Frames" option and it just made big white spaces around
the design.
How can I change the width and height of the whole flash
design and effects inside? Just like resizing a photo in photoshop?
Please help! Thanks!Patience and tedium... one piece at a time... Maybe someone
else has a better answer, and if so, I wish I knew it a year or so
ago when I had to do the same thing. -
I do not understand what you are doing to my account I have not been able to use flash stock review
I do not understand what you are doing to my computer and adobe account. I have not been able to use the flash finance review on my AOL stock account. What do you want me to do. Bill Schweikert
Adobe is doing nothing to your computer. We are, however, giving notice that our Workspaces service (accessible at https://workspaces.acrobat.com) is going to be shut down in a year. If you have files stored in Workspaces, you will need to download them to your computer before 1/6/2015.
Please see: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-4203
This has nothing to do with your AOL stock account. -
Hi guys, im new here - not an expert on flash actionscript,
but have studied in graphic design, and would like to launch
webdesign firm.
Look for the essentials:
I recently re-developed a site:
http://leflashweb.co.uk
And would like advice about how it comes across visually, and
also if it is technically sound from specialists and amateurs
alike. Be as objective as possible as I am about to have it
SEO’d: e.g white box thingy...etc
And for:
#Graphics
#Message
#Code
#Function
I can return the favour for your site too. Thank you.Hi,
I did not like it; it's a little cluttered on each section
and information is hard to read and find. And place your submit
form on the other side of the pages (so it appears on the right)
and place in smaller box, as it is taking up far to much space on
the page. The graphic used within the top logo is not clear and do
not seem to fit it's intended purpose (whatever this is).
That flash piece in the middle of your pages, needs to either
be redesigned or made bigger overall. And the majority of it's
links are not working, it felt clumsley to use. This is not good
flash design! And your main nav buttons, their color scheme does
not match or fit into the overall site design and color scheme.
The text looks sloppy; and full of rivers etc... And that red
overall outline is not professional looking. You asked; I answered
;) Seriously, you will need a lot of work to fix this, I think you
do not have the right skill set. Maybe your ok with graphic design
and lacking web design experience. If you know that this is the
case, then get some one else to design your site. Personally, I
would not invest much money into it.
Kind Regards,
Boxing Boom -

Want to create flash design websites using creative suite cs5.5/beginner
Hello everyone! I would really like to learn how to create a great flash design website. I already have website hosting with 2 different companies for two different websites that I have not added content to yet. But I want to add my own templates and and custom feel , design and graphics to and I want it to be great! I have downloaded the dreamweaver free trial and I am seriously considering purchasing Adobe creative suite cs5.5 like tomorrow along with the tutorial that has to be purchased separately. I am a beginner to creating websites and I would really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction or let me know if I am already headed there by purchasing the complete tutorial for cs5.5. Does any one know if I will be making a smart move?
I suggest a visit to Lynda.com. Check out the video training there. This link will get you a one week trial. http://bit.ly/fcGpiI

Desperately seeking Flash design guru
The market's red-hot at the moment and with that you Flash
guru's are now at the centre of the universe. My client is one of
Melbourne's top design houses with blue chip work banking up.
They're soooo desperate to attract the best that the cheque book is
open. So if you have at least 3 years experience in Flash design
and have built sites that glide so beautifully that the user just
wants to close them down so they can see them load again - then we
need to talk.

denisI posted earlier in a different forum about design
patterns. I was able to find one new source, and I
knew about the Head First Design Patterns. Please,
is there another comprehensive catalog that has Java
code examples of patterns like: composite/iterator,
observer, decorator, template etc..?Yes, Java itself has lots of these built into the language: java.util.Observer, java.util.Iterator.
java.io.InputStream is a Decorator.
The java.sql package is all Template or Strategy stuff, right?

I am very new to this and appreciate your help sincerely. If you really understand the patterns you should start looking for them in your own code.

Web Flash
Design SoftwarefaB,
I think you need to look at BW7.0 and not BW3.5
BI7 rather , is being released by this year end and by the looks of it I think NW Visual Composer will be preferred more that the web application designer.
BW3.5 has the web application designer and so does BI7 but ultimately I think it would converge into the Visual Composer.

Flash designer and developer??
Hi,
Could someone please clarify what the main difference is
between the two roles? Am i right in thinking a designer simply
designs layouts, games , comes up with ideas etc....whereas a
developer actually does the coding for everything?
Thanks...Hi,
I guess you refer to Flash designer and developers, right?
In most small companies the Flash specialist do both jobs but
in the big firms you can find Flash designer who concern with
graphic and animation issues such as the design , story boarding of
the animation, layout, color schemes, graphic and visual specs. The
Flash developer concern with the programming and dveloping issues
such as game programming, functions DB connections...etc.
In some other firms there is a creative director who creates
the ideas and storyboard it for the Flash designer and be
responsible on the project graphic issues.
This a brief about the difference between both titles.
Hope this helps
