To be honest I havent used that many online resources of the type you are after.
I would imagine that the CCNP Security - Firewall certification book current version would have a lot of usefull information related to the Cisco firewalls.

There is also the Cisco Live 365 site which has all the documents from the Cisco Live events around the world. You will need to register to get access to my understanding. There are also videos of the presentations there (atleast for some). Naturally the documents dont go deep into theory but they do have some helpfull information

Sadly I cant help you much in this case. I personally learnt most about the Cisco firewall the hard way, basically without any supporting material and education (we only had CCNA and CCNP Routing&Swithching wihtout any course on the PIX firewall that was in use at that time and ASAs were still new). Eventually I learned what I needed and nowadays I just tend to refresh information from documents and mostly refer to the ASA Configuration Guide and Command Reference if I need to check on some command or confirm how something worked.

The only way to reduce the size of the file is to reduce the sizes of the content it has. If you go into your Flash Publish Settings and choose the option to generate a a size report then it will publish a report that will let you know how the weight of the file is distributed and you can focus on eliminating that weight from there.

Trying to create flash file for site. Help!!!!

I want to export to flash in Keynote 09 so that I can put a flash file on my website. Obviously, this isn't possible now that this option was taken away. Are there any other ways I can do this? I'm basically just making a short 3 photo slideshow to put on a website home page. Please help! P.S. I don't currently have older versions of Keynote or I'd just use that.

If you run you .jar from the command line (a shell in unix speak) there
already is a console where your java program can send it's System.out
stuff. Right click on your .jar and select 'properties' (or similar). Note
that your .jar is run by 'javaw'. This executable is similar to the 'java'
executable except that it doesn't open a console for you. Change the
'javaw' command to 'java' and voila, there's your console again.

I am trying to implement a single sign on solution between
several sites that are located both within the same network and on
external hosting services. I've tried several things with
<iframe> and <img> tags to get a logged in environment
established on each server - to no avail.

Can SWF file be programmed to access a ColdFusion, ASP, or
php page via aboslute path that would at minimum set a cookie on
the computer for each of those sites?

I have one HTML page that has 5 <iframe> tags - each of
a partner site. The URLs called in the <iframe> do nothing
more than set a cookie of the UUID. I'd like a flash file that does
the same - eliminating frames.

uniquely complex and I'd rather not go through all the why's and

Optimizing Flash file for Internet

I have a 10MB flash file that I have uploaded to my website. No idea if this is large or small for a Flash file! The Flash appears on my index.html page. I have noticed that different browsers react differently, but when I open the page initially the video does not start playing straight away.
I'm using Dreamweaver. Is there a setting I should set? Any pointers?

Presumably I have to change these lines:

Rather than having ="Images/Videos/ExampleWorks2.swf" I'm guessing I replace with a url, correct? I'll look for some examples, but if you can offer something in the meantime I'd appreciate it.

Export flash file for a touch screen at 1920x1080 resolution

Hi all,
we are trying to export a flash file at 1920 resolution fron CS5.1 Encore. it does not give an option for this, max is 1280x720.
will we be able to do this if we upgrade to CS6?
what is the best way to get an applitation running for a touchs creen at this resolution?

Can't test the encode at the moment, but on the build tab, use "Edit Quality Presets," select F4v, then change the profile to High. If you try 1920 without the change, you are prompted to change the profile/level. I do not know what options work for the flash export. But I was able to set a 1920x1080 preset.
Save the custom preset.
The system automatically applied the custom preset to the build.
Edit: Sorry; this is CS6, but I don't think the ability to edit presets changed. Don't know about the max size.

Hi, I don't fully understand your question but I'm pretty sure if you select one of your files and press otions-open, or double tap it, the phone will do the rest ! (same operating system as the 5800)

LMS 4.0 support for ASA firewall

I need to add ASA 5520 to LMS 4.0, mainly for configuration archiving. ASA seems to be supported on LMS 3.2 as per the below link.

I had directly added the ASA to the DCR, with the right login credentials and SNMPv3 strings , but still LMS fails to detect the ASA.

When I add the ASA to the LMS using SNMPv3, the Device Management shows a blue box with a question mark(shown below).
Is ASA supported on LMS 4.0 with SNMPv3? Doing a troubleshooting on the LMS shows that LMS might only support SNMPv1 & v2.

Help with building flash files for streaming

I filmed a product demonstration for a client who wanted to put it on his website. I edited the footage in PremPro CS4 and exported to Media Encoder as F4V file format. After encoding imported footage into CS4 Encore, created timeline, chose, Flash from Format and swf for output. Progressive Download which allows video to begin playing as it is downloaded (I believe), chose destinations and settings. After transcoding I had 1 file folder, Sources that contained the following files _PGC_Bpge_entryPoint_Bbp_1.f4v, and then 3 separate files, *not* in the file folder called Sources. They are
AuthoredContent.xml, FlashDVD.swf, and Index.html.
I submitted all files to client who gave them to web designer. Designer said these were the wrong files and he could not use them. I called designer and basically he said I didn't know what I was doing. I told him he needed all files to put up the flash video. Anyway, am I missing something, doing something wrong? Are there other files he needs? He said he only needed 1 file. Or is it the designer? I'm not thin skinned so if it's me please tell me so, so I don't make the same errors. Thanks. <The client wants a control player, i.e. play, stop, pause, etc., that's it, so the viewer can simply provide the function themselves. This is similar to youtube, blogger, etc.
The web designer can use what you provided, which does what you describe the client wanting. But the web designer may need to integrate what Encore provided onto a web page, and the client may not have made the expectations clear and may not know what is needed. As I said, the Encore to flash player gives almost no options for the player controls and colors etc may be problems.
<Encore did encode the f4v file. When I exported from PremPro what preset should I hve chosen -- mpeg2 DVD, flv/f4v. So the only file he needs in addition to what I gave him is the original f4v file?
I don't know whether the f4v you exported from Premiere was progressive. The f4v from Encore might be fine, or you might need to export from Premiere again.
The other issue is that some "player" with controls needs to be provided by you or the web designer (who may have an issue with the client not getting the designer to lay all this out to begin with). There are several threads about "flv players" you might check out. Does the client have video on his site already? If so, you can figure out what they are using, and it will help with your process.
should I have chosen "flash server" instead of "progressive". i must admit i never did this before. other clients just have me post it to youtube and provide them with embed code.

"package" flash files for distribution?

I"ve created some flash content that contains two .flv files that I'm interested in distributing.
My question is- how do I "package" the files together so the .flv and .swf open together and I also need to ensure that no one else can open and edit them in Flash(ex- someone receives the files, has flash on their computer and can alter my original content).

For the video part simply choose embedding at import. Regarding swl, to actually secure it u'd have to compile it to .swc format.

Embedding flash files for an ebook

Hello,
I would like to embed 50 one minute flash videos into a 100 page ebook. Each video is about 5MB. I was told I should use Acrobat 9 to do this. Does this mean the ebook will be more than 250MB (50 x 5MB) or is there a way to compress the entire ebook?

Not sure as I've never had that many flv's in a PDF. There is a trial available; Might as well test it yourself.
