Flash for 64 bit browsers?

Any word on the development of Flash for 64 bit browsers?
Last I saw from Adobe was a note posted over a year ago saying they
were working on it. 64 bit browsers are really common now.

Am bumping this; is there any support for 64-bit Windows yet?

    Jerricayoung,
you have a 13-inch Mid 2012 MacBook Pro. It’s modern enough that it supports booting into Recovery mode. To do so, hold down a Command key and the R key as you start up. It should eventually show a Mac OS X Utilities menu. Select Disk Utility from that menu; when the Disk Utility window appears, select the bootable volume from the left-hand side of the window. (It’s typically called “Macintosh HD”.) When the volume is selected, some buttons will appear on the right-hand side. If it’s not greyed out, press the Verify Disk button; if it is greyed out, or if it reports on errors that it found, press the Repair Disk button. Once the verification/repair is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Restart from the Apple menu; that will restart your MacBook Pro in its normal mode. With luck, that will be enough to get you to your normal login screen, rather than the white screen.

  • Any plans on updating Flash player Square for 64-bit Browsers?

I'm currently using 64-bit flash for palemoon x64 browser. Everything is fast but i get random crashes from adobe flash. Before recommending me to use flash 32-bit i find 64-bit version snappier and better with watching youtube videos and its a lot quicker. Adobe needs to consider that there are even 64-bit flash player users

Please post questions regarding beta software in the appropriate beta forum
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/labs/flashplatformruntimes/square64bit
On the other hand, I believe that "Square" is discontinued, and the 64-bit version will be "Incubator" - forum http://forums.adobe.com/community/labs/flashplatformruntimes/incubator

  • Flash for 64-bit doesn't install properly, it seems

I downloaded the Flash app for 64-bit from Adobe site. It is installed but won't play at all. The only Adobe add-on I have available is for the PDF Link Helper. I manually installed (and uninstalled) the 32-bit Flash app.
    Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, The only 64bit Flash Player that runs with the 64bit browser is Square, which is still in beta.
The latest shipped(released) version is for a 64bit OS, but the 32bit browser must be used to Install and use.
    Latest versions are shown here:

  • Get with the times Adobe!  We need Flash for 64 bit OS!

I HATE using 2 browsers.  The 32 bit browser in Win 7 is horrible and crashes to much and leaves 48 instances of it open after its closed.  The 64 bit version works GREAT.  Get with the times and release a 64 bit version already.

+1  ... using Win7, I use 32-bit browser for Flash content and 64-bit browser for everything that matters.
How about directx 11 support while you're at it...    cheers

  • Support for 64 bit browsers Active-X control roadmap

With reference to Microsoft Technical notes documented in http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263526(v=office.15).aspx#activex,  Microsoft
mentioned that “Currently only 32-bit versions of Internet Explorer support Active X control.”
Any representative from Microsoft can give an indication when they are able to support 64 bit versions of Internet Explorer?

Likely what will happen, as we saw some progress with SharePoint 2013, is that any reliance on ActiveX is replaced by JavaScript and HTML5.

  • Any ETA on Flash 10 for Windows 64 bit browsers?

With the release of Windows 7 just 3 months away, I'm hoping that Adobe is close to at least a beta version of Flash 10 for 64 bit browsers.  I know they've released the Flash 10 for Linux 64 bit platforms, but they seem to be behind on this.  Windows is the most used operating system in the world.  Why we have yet to see a 64 bit flash player for it is kind of ... pathetic?  I don't know.

I do not wish to point out the obvious but someone at Adobe should be monituring current market/tech trends.  Most new PC's are shipping with 64 bit systems in order to take advantage of the larger amounts of memory available to consumers today.  This trend has not occurred overnight!!!  It has been coming for years.   I believe that if the flash player had serious competition Adobe would have been developing this from day one...that pesky "first to market" rule just does not apply to the flash player - pity!  Question remains....how will investors view this?

  • Adobe Flash Plugin for 64-bits Linux is back !!

After being discontinued by Adobe,  Flash for 64-bits Linux seems to be back. Is there still a maintainer for flashplugin on Arch64 ? I think it is still in beta but flashplugin and x86_64 users would be grateful if the package comes back in the repo !

how good was that? Do you use it or what?
Oh, man I think you dont get the funny bangkok_manouel did at you...
Flash for 64 bits is released in *2008* TWO years ago. You need to update your news sources. ^_^
I use it from 2008 on, and it works far great as the 32 bits worked.
Well, I was always under the impression i was using 32 bits flash plugin and I don't know why! I misread the news, they've just launched Flash 10 alpha and the reviews are so far okay.
BTW, I have numerous performance glitches and issues with the current version mainly when watching flash videos in full screen.

  • 64 bit flash for windows

First I apologise for having to create another thread but it seems the question was a little hard for them last time because they deleted the thread.
I would like to know why it's taking Adobe so long to create a 64 bit version of flash.  I think we all know if this was Microsoft it would have been out not long after Windows XP 64 bit came out.  Adobe however is still dragging their feet years after!.
Many of us are using 32 bit browsers because Adobe can't be bothered, well unless you run binux because they've got something out for that.  One wonders what would happen to Adobe if Windows users just stopped buying their products and so they relied on binux customers who prefer open source!

Hello Adobe? I know you're not busy. Definitly aren't, had atleast 5 years to make 64 bit flash and still havent. Answer the question.

  • Flash for browsers

    Hi,
I want to know the flash support for netfront3.5 and 4.0 browsers.
Netfront is actually a browser that is commonly used in the mobile devices.
Which version of flash and flash player runtime does netfront3.5 and 4.0 browsers actually support?

  • Timeline for Flash with 64 bit operating systems

Has there been any timeline for when Adobe will put out a version on Flash Player that works with 64 bit operating sustems? I looked around the site and forums and couldn't find anything on it other than the fact that it was going to come out after Version 10. Approximately when might that be?

i thought the 10.1 version (beta 2) was to support  64 bit browsers..  Even on Windows 7 and windows vista.  Many Computer manufacturer's are now pushing the 64 bit versions of the microsoft operating systems which come equipped with the default internet explorer 64 bit version.
When will this version be available for download on windows 7 64 bit?
And if it is available (even as a beta) where can I download the flash player for 64 bit operating systems and browsers.

  • How Long before 64 bit Browsers are supported with Flash?

Much as the question says - most browsers are available in 64 bit versions ans 64 bit OS are common, so when is it likely to appear?

i hate to say it this way, but perhaps when Adobe is actually ready to release 64bit flash players for all linux/mac/windows platforms.  that could take months to say the least.
so far, I see little or no progress on adobe's part in providing 64bit flash support.  they did had a 64bit flash for linux pre-release back in early February 2010 on the Adobe Labs site.  that seems to be no longer available.

  • Adobe Flash Player 32-bit/64-bit ActiveX 12.0.0.38 for IE - failing to install (via SCCM/SCUP)

Hi, I've been using SCCM/SCUP to update Adobe Flash for some now, and it's been working great. Much better than pervious custom scripting methods. However, the most recent version for IE, 12.0.0.38, isn't installing properly on some machines in my workplace (all windows 7 sp1 32-bit), and I can't figure out why. I can't see any pattern witht the machines that have the error.
The FlashInstall.log looks fine, no errors at all. And "Programs & Features" shows that version installed. However, SCCM keeps trying to reinstall and gives this error message: Installation job encountered some failures. Error = 0x80240022. I've read up on this message from previous flash versions, these seem to relate to different issues.
The few machines with Firefox have all successfully installed that version, which I notice for the first time I can remember, is a slightly different version number? Adobe Flash Player 32-bit/64-bit Plugin 12.0.0.43.
Has anyone else seen, this issue with 12.0.0.38 for IE, and have any ideas? Thanks

May be related to issues with logic in detection which Adobe is investigating.

  • Flash Professional CC no longer available for 32 Bit?

    Hi to all...
I purchased a membership for the creative cloud and downloaded some of the applications of the suite (Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, InDesign CC, Dreamweaver CC and Muse CC) but the only Flash Professional available for download is the CS6 version, not the CC. I assume that Flash Pro in CC is only available for 64 bit processors. Any chance to get a 32 bit version?
    Thanks for your comments...

Flash Pro CC requires a 64bit OS. Here's the system requirements:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/tech-specs.html
If you're 32bit you will need to use Flash CS6.
