Flash for jailbroken iphones?

Now that jailbreaking has been determined as legal in the US, what are the chances that Adobe will make a version of flash for jailbroken iphones? It would be a great way to get back at Apple, since it'll convinve more people to jailbreak, and Apple will have to let flash onto the iphone if it wants people to stop jailbreaking... Would Adobe do something like that? Are there any legal problems with this?

Send Apple Feedback telling them you would like Adobe Flash
support for the iPhone.

  • Flash for jailbroken iPhone?

    Hi,
I would like to ask whether there is some problem releasing the Flash for jailbroken iPhone? A lot of people would surely greatly appreciate it and such a big field test would clearly show how wrong Apple is.
I'm not sure, whether this idea was discused previously or whether it can reach someone who can do something like this, but I'm too pissed by Apple right now to search for it... If there is some info on this, a link would be appreciated. If I should write somewhere else to be heard, please tell me where.

This looks pretty good. I have personally always wanted to have flash for myspace etc. Apple were not planning to allow flash on iPhone or iPad. Would this affect apples terms and agreement policy?

  • Are they ever going to get adobe flash for the iphone?

One thing you can do on windows based phones, which you cant on iphones is watch or use anything that is adobe flash. I get nba league pass every year, and would love to be able to stream games on my phone while at work, but it cant be done. Cant even go to nba.com and get scores. But there are also a ton of sites that use adobe flash, but dont work on the iphone. If they truly want to make this like a mini computer, including adobe flash would make this the only phone you would need.

Windows mobile devices have a Flash-lite version, which is compatible with most flash provided content but not all - hence the "lite" included with the name.
Apple has stated they aren't interested in the Flash-lite version which is limited, and the full version is a processor hog on a Mac or Windows PC.
It is up to Adobe to provide a plugin version that meets Apple's approval and no one here knows if or when that will occur.

  • HT204266 Is there a replacement for Adobe flash for ipad2?

I am trying to watch a video, which pops up from a website.

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
Apps that can display some Flash from the Web:
    Puffin
    SkyFire
    Photon Flash
    Browse2Go
    iSwifter
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."

  • Come on, Adobe.  Fix Flash for Safari

This is a joke. There has been no response on this issue. I
    had no idea about
the trouble and am not looking forward to spending a morning
    trying to get an
older version to work. The player worked fine, I saw an
    update, updated and
now it's broken. I've tried for about 90 minutes to uninstall
    and use an older
version to no avail. This wasn't an issue under Macromedia.

  • IPhone is at a grey screen after flashing for a few minutes

My iPhone is at a grey screen after flashing at the same screen for a couple of minutes.
I can turn my screen on and off, phone functions and siri both work. The screen is just grey, no error messages or anything.
This happened after I was trying to connect to a wifi hotspot and I was typing something into a field when it froze, flashed for a few minutes, and stayed on a grey screen. This has been going on for about an hour and a half.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Brialex119,
If your iPhone is flashing with a grey screen, I would suggest resetting the device and resetting the network settings.  If that does not resolve the issue, then you may need to back up to iCloud and restore it.
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

iOS: Wi-Fi settings grayed out or dim - Apple Support
    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204324
    Restart your iOS device.
Make sure that airplane mode is off by tapping Settings > Airplane Mode.
Reset the network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
Make sure that your device is using the latest software. To do so, connect your device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes.

  • Adobe flash player for my iphone 3gs 32mb please let safari accept it!

adobe flash player for my iphone 3gs 32mb please let safari accept it!

While I'm painfully aware of the lack of a version of Adobe Flash Player for the iPhone, more and more Flash-based web home pages are not accessible to the iPhone. I also understand that Flash Player is not compatible with Apple's 'vision' for iPhone Applications. The problem we have is this increasing exclusion of Flash-based web sites and if what I understand about Apple's policy on iPhone Apps is accurate, then we will never have access to these sites on an unmodified iPhone. I can see that one of the problems is that Adobe Flash Player competes with the YouTube Player and possibly with iTunes movies.
Unless the web pages have a link for iPhones or re-direct iPhones accessing those pages to a non-Flash version of the web page, it seems likely that we are basically, well...screwed. Anyone have a different take on this?
Do we need an Apple-Adobe intervention? Perhaps over a nice hot mocha latté in Seattle...

  • I just upgraded to IOS 5 on my iPhone 4 and how do i get my LED light to flash for notifications?

I have the iPhone 4 and just upgraded to IOS 5 today and saw that there is an LED light that can flash for alerts. How do I turn this on?

I saw that this seems to be a widespread issue and is independent of third party music apps, so in the interest of helping things to consolidate, I've started a discussion that links to other relevant discussions I could find. Here's the link: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3456073

  • I just traded for an iphone 4, but it wont turn on it will only flash the apple icon over and over.. does this mean i traded for a stollen phone or is there a simpler fix?

I have just traded for an iphone 4, it wont turn on all it will do is flash the apple icon every 30 to 45 sec and it has a red line running directly accross the screen under the icon.. what does this mean??

Try plugging it into your computer and holding the home button and power button until it starts in restore mode. Then restore the phone if it works.
If this doesn't work and it doesn't go into restore mode try putting it in DFU mode.
    http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1034
    Then try restoring again.
If none of these work then you may need a new battery or the logic board is bad.
    Good luck!
