Flash Form Not Working In FF3

I'm having trouble with cfform and flash forms. The forms
work fine in IE, FF2, and Google Chrome. However for some reason
the form isn't rendering under firefox 3. If anyone could help me
out with why this is the url is here:
http://city.richbank-studios.com:81/admin
I can go directly to the cfswf file and renders fine in ff3,
but something is not right with the embedding code or something
because it won't render in the page.
Thanks
Terry

I am having the same problem, Flash player 10 seems to have
broken Firefox 2, 3 and Opera...
I use the "Wimpy" flash button to stream Podcasts and Random
songs on my site's front page, and as soon as I did the flash 10
update, it stopped working for me, and many users whom I've talked
to. Still works in IE 6 and 7..
Even more funny, I created a Web Photo Gallery in Photoshop
CS2, (Flash - Gallery 2) and it doesn't work either.
Gallery is here:
http://beastiemixes.com/images2/othersites/cnc/index.htm
Podcast page is here:
http://www.beastiemixes.com/podcasts.php
On the podcast page, under "Stream" There's supposed to be
little (|>) flash play buttons.

  • Custom 404 cfm pages, and ColdFusion flash forms not working together

    Hi,
I've recently ran into an issue that I was hoping I could have a little help with. My company has been using custom 404 pages for awhile that we set up in iis however we had never set up this custom 404 page to display on .cfm pages, only missing folders. Ie; www.website.com/asdasdasdsd/ would display a custom 404 error But www.website.com/asdasdasdsd.cfm would not. I recently set this up by going in the iis properties for our site, went to the home directory tab click on configuration and selected edit from the mappings tab. From here I checked the verify that file exists open. This enabled the file.cfm custom error to appear however for some reason it disabled all of my ColdFusion flash forms. None of them appear now. If I undo the iis setting that I changed earlier they all re-appear. I got these settings from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/000/95ee04fb.html and they do the job, they just disable my flash forms. Is there any way to do this without them disabling my flash forms from working?
    Thanks!
    Paul Alkema

    Hi Paul,
Did you ever receive an answer to this (old) post?  I'm having the same problem myself.
    Thanks,
    Michael

  • Coldfusion does not recognize IE11 - Flash forms not working.

This is a problem that has me banging my head on my desk. We have a web application that still uses Flash based web forms. (Before anyone says it, I know we need to get away from the flash forms, but we cannot do this overnight.) The problem is that because IE11 no longer passes MSIE in the USER AGENT string, ColdFusion is placing an <Embed> tag instead of an <Object> tag to load the flash. I know that we could add our site to the Compatibility List, however we have too many users to guide this through. We need a solution that we can perform on our side, either modifying code, ColdFusion, or IIS. First has anyone else run into this problem? Does anyone have any potential solutions?
Thanks in advance for your help.

We did find a stable work around that "tells" coldfusion to render flash forms for IE 10 even though the server call is coming from IE 11.  I don't believe Adobe would necessarily want the method that we were forced to use advertised.  It involved adding 10 lines of CF code to the top of each page that used flash forms.  It was very unorthodox and we are simply using this to buy time to get our forms off the flash platform.  I would be willing to email the solution to anyone interested.

  • GET FLASH FORM TO WORK

OK, I am trying to get my flash form to work and I'm working
with a template from FLASH MX BIBLE. I'm going to paste both my
action script and my cgi script in here & hopefully I can find
an answer to why it doesn't work. Basically what happens is it says
it was received, but it wasn't. ... or it is but none of the words
come through (this happened earlier before I tried tweeking the
script... which I think made it worse).
........ thank you thank you to anyone who can help me

Hi kglad. One. not sure how to "use the onData event of
receiveLoad and see what error message you're getting." Sorry,
don't use as2 very much. Two. I am doing all this on the same
domain, so there should not be any security issues.
I asked goDaddy what the problem might be and this was their
    (snarky) reply;
"As you have already been informed, when using a flash form
on your site, in the scripting for the form you will need to
reference our SMTP server at relay-hosting.secureserver.net and
this server does not require authentication."
They gave me this code a couple of days ago and told me to
stick this into my PHP code. It didn't help.
This is beyond me I am afraid.

  • Flash Forms Stopped Working In ColdFusion 9

We moved our websites, many of which use Flash Forms, from a server running ColdFusion 7 to a server running ColdFusion 9.
At first all the Flash Forms in the various websites worked fine.
However, on the same day all the Flash Forms stopped working on the ColdFusion 9 server.  No changes were made to the websites, to IIS 6, or to ColdFusion.  We've restarted ColdFusion, IIS 6, and the server.
The error we get when loading a page that includes a Flash Form is:
    412 Unknown
Here is the output reported by FireBug when loading a page (for example http://www.futurefamilydocs.org/test/testflashforms/index.cfm) that includes a Flash Form
The same page with the same flash form works fine in our ColdFusion 7 server (for example see: http://test.futurefamilydocs.org/test/testflashforms/index.cfm)
We cannot figure out what the issue is.  Both servers are setup exactly the same Windows 2003, IIS 6, same ColdFusion settings, same access rights for internet users.
We'd appreciate any help as it will be significant work for use to change all the Flash Forms to normal forms.  We're a small non-profit company and this is having a big impact on our members until we get it fixed or replace all the Flash Forms.
    Thank You
    Bruce Phillips

We have found the error message coldfusion is generating when we try to access a page that has a flash form:
    C:\ColdFusion9\runtime\logs\coldfusion-event.log
03/29 13:02:45 user CFSwfServlet: Error: The class  'mx.rpc.RemoteClassRelayResponder' could not be loaded.
    03/29  13:02:45 user CFSwfServlet:  at  C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\futurefamilydocs\test\testflashforms\inde.mxml:393
I researched that error and found suggestions to redo the IIS configuration for ColdFusion.  I did that but still get the same error.

  • Runtime error R6025 message after log on to Vista - Flash Card not working

    Hi
I'm a newbie & would appreciate any advice.
I am getting a runtime error message R6025 when I log on to Windows Vista.
When I click out of the box I then get a message saying Toshiba Flash Card not working.
I cancel that and my laptop is ok except I don't know if the flashcard is working or not because I don't know what it does.
    Sorry if I sound thick
    Thanks
    Neelie

    Hi
I found this MS knowledge base article:
    +Description of the R6025 run-time error in Visual C++\+
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/125749
But I doubt this description would be useful for you or anyone here. It describes this error in Visual C++ and this is programming language.
However, I think you should simply reinstall the Value Added Package which you could download firstly from the Toshiba European page.
At first you have to remove the old Value Added Package from the system, then reboot the notebook and follow with new VAP installation.
    Bye

  • Why does flash player not work with facebook?

Why does flash player not work with fcebook?  Whenever I wish to view a video, I get the message that i need to upgrade my flash player. Then no matter how often I download and install flash player I still get the message that I need to upgrade my flash player.  When I go check which version I have, I always get the message that I have the most current one.  I run Mozilla Firefox with Windows.  I don't know anything else.

This means you don't have the latest version installed.  Update to 11.9.900.117, and Firefox will allow it: Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

  • Flash Player not working in Firefox

Suddenly Firefox will not play flash player content called
when I play games online. It worked fine a few days ago.
When I click on the link, it opens the game page, but where
the game should appear, I see a blank black box. When I click on
the "Play online game" link I also get a large empty black box.
I am running Windows XP on an HP Pavilion ze2315us laptop. I
recently installed trial version of Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro.
In efforts to fix the problem I tried the following:
Removed adblocker addresses that might conflict.
    Checked blocked sites
    Removed and reinstalled Flash Player.
    Reinstalled Firefox.
Set folder options to use Firefox to open SWF files
    All to no avail.
I tried the web site in IE. Had to download and install Flash
Player again but it works fine in IE.
Afterwards, it still did not work in Firefox.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

In the past I with other versions, it did work without any problem.
