Flash Gallery does not show in Lightroom
I can't see the preview in Lightroom of any of the Flash Gallerys.
I can see them if I click "Preview in Browser..." and they look OK if uploaded or exported.
I had the same problem in B4, but not from the beginning with 1.0.
Anyone else have this problem?
Ideas on how to solve it?
Previews of the HTML gallerys are all OK.
Yes, got a response today:
"It must be related to some file which is specific to the user.
I would try the prefs in conjunction with a new library. Presumably, when you tested with a new user, they also create a new library.
1.) Run Photoshop Lightroom in a new user account.
Create a new user account that has the same permissions as the account that you use when the problem occurs. If the problem doesn't recur, the original user account may be damaged. For instructions on creating a new user account, see "To add a new user to the computer" in Windows Help or contact your system administrator.
2.) Re-create the Photoshop Lightroom preferences file.
Re-create the Photoshop Lightroom preferences file to eliminate problems that a damaged preferences file might cause.
To re-create the Photoshop Lightroom preferences file:
1. Quit Photoshop Lightroom.
2. Rename the Lightroom Preferences.agprefs file (for example, to Lightroom Preferencesagprefs.old) in the Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences folder.
3. Start Photoshop Lightroom. Photoshop Lightroom creates a new preferences file.
If the problem continues, the preferences file isn't the cause. To restore custom settings, delete the new preferences file and restore the original name of the previous preferences file.
I tried step 1) and the Flash Web Preview in Lightroom worked.
I tried step 2) and the Flash Web Preview in Lightroom did not work.
I will report this back to Adobe.

Flash video does not show up once uploaded. Help please.
OK I've spent several days searching online for an answer to this question and I'm at my wit's end. Please help me out. This is what is going on.
I'm using flash to design a basic website. Within that website I want to place a .flv file. Everything works fine in preview mode and test movie mode. The problem comes when I puplish to the web. I'm just using flash to publish which puts all the files in a folder.
IN previous attempts, once I load those files onto a server it does not play the .flv file. The .sfw skin will show up but the general .sfw file for the project doesn't seem to be finding the .flv file. And yes, I'm uploading the .flv file to the server. Is there something wrong with the html code that it can't find the .flv file? I can replicate this problem on my desktop by moving the .flv file out of it's project folder. Once I do that and then click the .html file the page will load but it won't find the video file. It's like it can only open that file if it's in the original project folder and the folder doesn't get moved.
I can't be the only who has experienced this. Please help! The effect you're having "only displaying the flvplayer skin but no video" is a clear sign that your swf can't find the flv.
One thing that you can do to ensure that everything is right is to first upload the .flv file to the desired location and then link your FLVPlayback to the url on the flash IDE / AS.
2nd Option would be to:
save flv, fla and swf in the SAME folder (no subfolders or such)
upload flv and swf to your webserver while keeping them together in the same folder, that ensures that your files can find eachother. -
Last image in flash gallery does not always load
Several times I have had the last image in a flash web gallery not appear. Today, image #41 is seen in the filmstrip, the gallery indicates I should see #41 of 41 images, but that image does not appear in the thumbnail strip to the left and the large image is still #40. I tried switching out the last file, but that doesn't make a difference. I have built much larger galleries with the same default flash template and had everything work. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?
Thanks,I had the same thing happen to me. Image #25/25 refused to load. Once I added another image for a total of 26 all images loaded.

Creative Cloud Menu does not show installed Lightroom App
I'm wondering if there is something I can do to fix the problem. Lightroom does work as long as I dig through menus to find it.
Did you have a stand alone light room ?
You need to uninstall the stand alone Light room from the Computer. Then you can follow these links:
1. Lightroom Mobile app says I'm running on a trial but I have been using LR 5 for quite some time now on my laptop. Will my trial expire and roll over to my account, or will I have to pay?
2.Re: I´m a CC member (PS and LR). Why does LR say it´s 28 days left on a trial for LR mobile?
3.Why doesn't LR show as installed in CC
Please refer to:
Lightroom 5 is installed but Creative Cloud doesn't think so… can't update LR
Re: Creative Cloud not showing apps.
Reinstall LR5 over the creative cloud

Produced lens profile for Canon G12 put in folder 1.0 does not show in lightroom edit pane
Noted that adobe show lens profiles for G10, G12 G15 and G1X but only G10 shows in downloader and in lightroom edit pane profile selection
Created my own lens profile for G12 svaed it but does not come up in edit pane choices??What LR version are you using, and does LR let you manually select the profile you want?
I take your point that Canon could have offered their own Adobe-compatible profiles, but those would probably have needed to then be supplied to the end user by Canon, not by Adobe.
I am seeing the particular Canon profiles that you mention, in LR 5.4, offered against Raw images but not against non-Raw images.
Unless you are using an older software version, or selecting perhaps a derived edit version in e.g. TIFF instead of a Raw, I am at a loss why you are not seeing them too.
I believe these will have been generated by Adobe. They are here on my PC:
Please note that there is a non-Raw profile listed there for e.g. the G10 but not for e.g. the G12. So the fact that you ARE seeing a profile for the G10, lends some weight to the idea that the image currently selected may not in fact be Raw based.
BTW, I don't think that any extra profiles that the user might make or find, and then save in here, are going to ever be seen by LR (or ACR). This is apparently the Adobe "official installed profiles only" location.
Any profiles made or found by the user, need to be saved into a similar folder within the user's data area, in order for LR to see them and use them. And if these are Raw based, they will still not appear for a non-Raw based image.
On my Windows computer, that location is C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0
This has a "Downloaded" subfolder (which is, I think, the destination used by the Adobe profile downloader utility).

Vudu requires Adobe Flash Player for movies and gives me an error message saying that I need to update to the newest version and gives a link. When i follow the link and install the newest version I still get the same message. I checked add-ons Firefox and Adobe Flash Player doesn't show up as an available add-on or plug-in. What is the problem?
Your system details list doesn't show that the Shockwave Flash plugin is installed and enabled.
If you have the Shockwave Flash plugin installed then make sure that it is enabled.

Bridge CS4 gallery does not show in site in DW CS4
I am trying to put a Bridge Gallery in a page in my Dreamweaver CS4 site. I found this discussion thread:
http://forums.adobe.com/message/3549969#3549969
I read the discussion and followed their advice. It worked like a charm - - - - until I put the files to my site.
In Dreamweaver Live View it looks great. In Preview in Browser it looks great. On my site I just get broken links: http://casa-colina.net/pages/gallery.html
Any suggestions what I did wrong? This is the relevant code on my page:
<div id="onePhotoText"><iframe src="../gallery/gallIndex.html" height="650" width="700"></iframe>
<!-- end #onePhotoText -->
</div>
the onePhotoText div is just the big div on my page for content. As you can see, I cleared everything out of it except for the iframe. I renamed the index file in the Bridge gallery gallIndex because I was just too nervous having another file named index, even though I have the bridge files in their own folder (gallery).
Suggestions, Dreamweaver mavens?
Alex1) How did you find that information?
In Firefox, right click > View Page Info > Media.
Your images are not where they're supposed to be. They are all 404 not found on server.
This is the gallery front page:
pages/gallery.html
This is where the thumbnails are supposed to be:
gallery/content/bin/images/thumb/
This where the full-size images are supposed to be:
gallery/content/bin/images/large/

Flash control skin does not show in Golive
Mac OS 10.4.11 GoLive CS (1) - I have a flash file (.flv) that works well - see initial test without an applied skin - http://www.artdesign.org.uk/test - but with a couple of problems for the actual replacement intended for the correct site.
Problem 1. The controls skin I attached to the yell_video.flv when converting to a yell_video.swf in Adobe Flash program does not show in Golive, as the actual video does not show either I assume this is normal. I have the 3 files sitting in the 'web content/graphics' folder on the site - yell_video.flv - yell_video.swf - SkinUnderAll.swf - but can not see a means of 'attaching' the skin file to any field in the Inspector Palette. When I run it in a browser the error message comes up, with a dismiss or continue option, click either and the video plays fine but without the skin.
Error #2044: Unhandled skinError:. text=[IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2035: URL Not Found. URL: SkinUnderAll.swf"]
Problem 2. When the site is first encountered as a user there is a momentary white box where the flash yell_video.swf sits. I have made sure that when converting the .flv file in the Flash program I made the background the exactly same colour as the web page it sits on. The white is then momentarily followed by the blue colour that is not quite the same as the page background I stipulated. After much messing around I have found a solution to one of my own problems.
The SkinUnderPlayStopSeekMuteVol.swf file generated from the exporting of the Flash yell_video.swf from the yell_video.flv file should sit in the same folder as the html page the video has been inserted in. In my case I had all 3 files in a folder entitled 'graphics' which is what caused the problem.
I still have a problem with the momentary white box where the flash yell_video.swf sits when first opening the site. -
Photo/Edit-In CS6. psd image does not show in LR after save/close.
Whenever I edit (a copy) of an image in Photoshop CS6 from Lightroom 4.3 (Photo/Edit-In), after I save and close the image in CS6 the new psd image does not show in Lightroom. In order to see the image in Lightroom, I need to close Lightroom and then reopen Lightroom. It is almost like Lightroom needs to "refresh". Does anyone have a solution that does not require me to close Lightroom? I have tried to use View/Sort by extension, filename, edit time, etc. with no effect.
This should not be so. I'm assuming that you do a <save> in CS6 - as opposed to <save as>. Only with <save> the image file will automatically be imported in Lr while <save as> creates a new file that Lr "knows" nothing about until you import it (for instance via "Synchronize folder").
If the behavior you describe follows a <save> in CS6 it is not normal.
This could be due to a corrupt Preference File. This file can go "funny" and is then responsible for all kinds of strange behavior of Lr. The remedy is replacing the Preference File.
BTW: Re-installing Lr does not replace the Pref. File since it is designed to "survive" upgrades.
See here for where to find the Preference file for your OS: http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/preference-file-locations-lightroo m-4.html
See here for how to go about Replacing the Preference File: http://lightroomers.com/replacing-the-lightroom-preference-file/745/ -
The web site of Adobe does not show correctly in FireFox
I have a bizarre problem. The site of Adobe (including where I can download the flash player) does not show correctly in FireFox and I only see it as a text HTML page, but without most images (typically, for instance, I do not see the image "Download now" but see a text line "Dowload now", and so on...
This seems to specifically affect the Adobe web site as I have no problme for other web sites (so far).
It is something specific to FireFox as I do have the problem with Internet Explorer.
The problem persis even if I restart FireFox without any add-on (safe mode).
Any suggestion ?Does this only happen in Firefox? What do you see with Internet Explorer or Chrome? If it is only Firefox, I'd try these steps in this order:
1. Clear your cookies and cache
2. Reset your Firefox settings
3. Make a new profile

Flash 8 SWF not showing up online
Hi all,
I have a flash SWF file that I embedded in an HTML page
through Dreamweaver. When I upload it to my site, it doesn't show
up. All I get is a dotted line box around where the file is suppose
to be. I isolated that earlier flash version work seemlessly but
this is Flash 8 with a skin.
When I test from Dreamweaver or publish a HTML page from
Flash, it works perfectly.
Anyone run into thisproblem yet? Any clues would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks
TimSorry.
I created the SWF file in Flash 8 using the FLVplayback
component. Then in Dreamweaver imported the SWF file like I have
done many times before. I uploaded the SWF, Skin.SWF, and the html
file to the server and when I go to the page the flash file does
not show up. Just a dotted box when my mouse is over the area.
here's the link.

Lightroom does not show up in my Adobe CC app
Originally I installed Photoshop CC, Bridge CC and Lightroom CC on a clean iMac using the Adobe CC app.
However now Lightroom does not show up in the installed apps in Adobe CC. Instead it shows it in the list of adobe programs with "Install" by it.
I think this is why its not telling me it needs upgrading from 5.3 to 5.4 hence I cant use the new Lightroom Mobile.
How can I get it to show up in the Adobe CC app ?
thankstry signing out and then back in to your cc app.
