Flash games, serious problem with windows 7 bootcamp

when you open a webpage that has a flash game, windows 7 bootcamp stucks from time to time, with no reason! why is this happening? using firefox. tried safari the same thing, and tried latest flash player on both. try facebook games or google random flash games most of them cause windows 7 to stuck or go slow! suggestions please, does anyone else have the same problem?

How to create a (legacy/Bios/conventional) bootable Windows installation USB drive:
If for some reason you don't want to use Bootcamp Assistant, you can follow these steps to create your own bootable USB drive.
Diskpart is a Windows command-line tool. To use Diskpart you need to have access to a Windows PC or a Windows Installer (where you can open the commandline prompt by pressing Shift+F10)
How to make an active partition in Diskpart:
1. Open a command prompt (type CMD in the Start Menu search bar, press enter);
2. Type diskpart;
3. Type list disk;
4. Look for the entry of your USB drive and remember it's number (checking disk sizes usually helps in spotting it);
5. Type select disk x, where x is the disk entry you checked in step 4;
6. Type clean;
7. Type create partition primary;
8. Type format fs=FAT32 quick;
9. Type active;
10. You're done, type exit twice. (once to exit diskpart, again to exit command prompt);
To add the Windows Installation files:
1. Mount a Windows ISO (in OSX or windows, doesn't matter);
2. Select all files on the disk;
3. Copy;
4. Open your freshly made USB drive;
5. Paste;
To add Bootcamp Support Software:
1. Download and unpack the Bootcamp Support Software (v5.x for 64-bit)
2. Select all files (Folder: $WinPEDriver$, folder: Bootcamp, file: AutoUnattend.xml)
3. Copy;
4. Open freshly made USB drive that contains Windows Installation files;
5. Paste;
Done.
Note: For EFI installs you don't need to do this. Just format the drive FAT32, copy over your ISO/DVD files, and you're good to go.
How to restore a protective MBR into a hybrid MBR:
If you installed Windows using Bootcamp the conventional way and adjusted partitions afterwards, chances are your Windows no longer boots.
You can fix this by following the link in the fix below and using that program (GDisk) to do the opposite of what is posted. (create a hybrid MBR)
How to restore a hybrid MBR into a protective MBR:
Disk Utility and Bootcamp Assistant automagically create a Hybrid MBR when a partition is formatted FAT32. Because of this you can't install in EFI mode if you used either of these apps to partition your drive.

Windows 7 is only partially EFI compatible, you may run into problems during installation on a Mac.

great job jognt, wonderful post (though i found out about it only after a 2-day research in to the subject).
however, i still cannot find a solution to installing windows 7 from a usb.
i'd be grateful for any advice if you have the time:
i have a macbook late 2008 - core 2 due, 2gb ram, 250gb hdd and the internal superdrive.
the hdd has osx snow leopard with win7 32-bit partitioned in bootcamp.
i performed a little surgery to my little mac so it could run much faster than before:
1. replaced one of the 1gb ram sticks to a 4gb ram stick (=5gb of total ram). would be happier with 8gb, but upon replacing both sticks i get a memory error which i could solve up to this moment (though this is probably not related to nmy problem).
2. replaced the superdrive with a 250gb ssd from samsung (840 series).
i downloaded mavericks osx 10.9.1 and loaded it into a 16gb usb, which installed flawlessly on the ssd (125gb partition).
as i've formated the usb using snow leopard's disk utility and hadn't install any lions, i had no recovery partition (which disables "find my mac" along with other stuff). i decided to add a recovery partition, and have successfully done so using a custom app named Recovery Editor (instructions can be found here: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1606779).
next, i've tried to install windows 7 64-bit on the same drive (ssd) on the second partition - 125gb formatted to fat32. i've placed win installation files in the usb using the modified boot camp assistant (removed "pre" from "PreUSBBootSupportedModels" and "PreUEFIModels", added my model under "DARequiredROMVersions" and "UEFIModels").
before even trying to use this usb (and following a mass amount of people reporting peoblems), i decided to use your method: formatted the usb with diskpart (fat32, active), added the windows installation files from an iso (which includes both 32- and 64-bit versions), copied the bootcamp v5 support software and restarted the computer.
however, pressing the option key shows 4 options - the snow leopard partition and win7 32-bit partition on the hdd and mavericks partition and recovery partition on the ssd.
the usb is not recognized.
i tried clearing the pram (option+command+r+p) and eject and insert the usb after pressing option to see if it will add the usb to the list.
from what i've read around, some people were able to use their usb if they disconnected the hdd and placed the ssd instead (leaving the cdrom place empty), but i would rather avoid this.
might anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Flash Player installation problems with Windows Embedded (WES/XPe)

I've deployed 13 HP T5740 Thin Clients at my office, each have Windows Embedded Standard (WES/XPe) and with Internet Explorer 7.
With limitations on VMWare servers and sound, users need to view webinars on their local client. When I try to install any version of Adobe Flash Player, the installation instantly fails...no reason given.
Is there a known issue with this? And is there a workaround?

It's not working at the mo and it says under run without permissions - Shockwave Flash Object Enabled version 0.0.0.1
Just tried to download version 10.2.153.1 and now the download manager opens but then just 'hangs' - nothing happens.
On Firefox, version 10.2.153.1 installed and enabled OK. No problem playing clips with Firefox.

Problem with windows/bootcamp

Hi! I bootcamped windows on my mid 12 MacBook pro because of a game I needed and everything went fine until I realized I didn't click on the Box (download the latest Windows support software fform Apple). Now it seems like I can't go back to Mac because I don't have bootcamp on windows and I am panicking.
PLEASE HELP ME!
PS. I don't know which operating system I have because I can't see it...:(

Isight problem with windows

hi
i have a serious problem with my isight...
i installed win xp using the boot camp,after 1 month the isight is stopped working and i found under the device manager "DFU Loader"
i did the SMC and PRAM,it works maybe for 2 or 3 days then the same problem happen...when i login to the mac os and start the photobooth i see the msg "there is no camera connected"
i went to the support center and they say that the isight is not supported in windows...
so i want to know if it is a hardware or software problem..?

Did you repair permissions and restarted your computer afterwards? If not, do the following:
Boot up from your install DVD and run *"Repair Disk"* from the Utility menu. When done, go back to your desktop, repair permissions and restart your computer.

Word experienced a serious problem with the 'acrobat pdfmaker office com addin' add-in. after Office Updates.

I cant cant use mail merge feature in Winword in conjunction with Abobe Acrobat 10 (pdfmaker add-in) after the recent Office April Windows and Office Updates.

As the event log indicated, this is due to acrobat pdfmaker office com addin doesn't work well with Microsoft Word.
I would suggest you go ahead and try to upgrade your Adobe product to the latest version and see if issue persists.
Or contact the support of Adobe and see if there is a known compatibility issue or not.

I've installed Adobe Presenter V7.0.7 Build 7746. No, I don't want to disable it. When I click No, PowerPoint stops working. I get a message that says: Microsoft PowerPoint has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly, Widows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. My only choice is to click the Close program button.
When I open the PPT file again, I get the same "experienced a serious problem" message. If anyone has a solution to this, I'd appreciate knowing what it is. It took me a while just to get the Presenter option to appear in the PowerPoint toolbar. Now that I have it, it's not working.

I have Mac mini and Macbook Pro 13". Bouth with HD3000. And I can't work at all. With Snow Lepard I had no problems. It's tiny problem in code. And such pain for lots of users!

If you have a problem with Adobe products, voice your issues with them.
It is the software developers responsibility to maintain compatability
with any operating system, beit OSX or Windows.

Some serious problems with Mountain Lion

I upgraded my mid 2010 15" MBP to Mountain Lion 2 days ago, and I have some serious problems with my machine now.
- Wifi problem: like many members 's machines, mine has problem to connect to the wifi after sleep or restarting, I had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for it to connected to my home network. Anh I tried to remove all of my settings in System Preferences/Network and added new connection. And now it cant connect to wifi anymore. I'm writing this article while sitting on the floor with my Ethernet cable plugged in my MBP. I connected to internet through a DSL modem and a Airport Extreme as a bridge and Access Point. I also tried to set up all of my network device but my MBP can't connect to the wifi still.
- Keyboard problem with Pages: I was very happy with the new iCloud syncing for Pages documents but after 5 minutes, I met a big problem with Mountain Lion. Whenever I type in Pages with Vietnames Keyboard( Mac OS X built in or from another developer: http://www.trankynam.com/gotv/ ), Pages stops working immediately. I can still drag the Pages's window around but can't type or do any editing. After that I have to force quit pages. It is really stupid that I'm writing a book in Pages and now I have to stop my working till apple fixes this ridiculous bug. I tried German Keyboard as well and Pages worked flawlessly. Do you hate Vietnamese, Apple?
- Messages problem: Since upgrading to Mountain Lion I couln't send or receive any messages. It worked perfectly in Messages beta.
Does anyone have the same problems like me? Any solution such as how to reinstall Messages(I googled but found nothing)
Apple, please test your software more before release it. I feel like I have no computer at the moment because I can't work, can't surfing the web wirelessly and can't communicate with my friends.

I found out that the problem with my wifi was my MBP received automatically a ridiculous IP such as 169.254.170.0 instead of 192.168.1.4 as it should be.
WIll be part of the Issue as will be DNS issues.
mDNSresponder crashed with Handsoff! v1.5.3. After upgrading Handsoff! to v2.0.2, it works again.
In this case mDNSresponder also being stopped will stop DNS working.
I would guess if you have resolved these that you can Chat to people again.

"Outlook has experienced a serious problem with iCloud Outlook add in"

January 9, 2013 - I have been getting this message on and off for the past few weeks. The message goes on to suggest disableing the add in to stop the problem and avoid damage to my computer (PC with Windows 7 / 64 bit with Outlook 2012 and an up-to-date iCloud). Disableing the add-in does stop the problem, but then, of course, nothing on iCloud (contacts, notes, etc.) syncs any more. How do I fix this? I have a short term memory disorder and rely on my iStuff to get me through the day.

In compatability problems with windows 7 64 bit dell inspiron i3

Tried everything still telling me that the program is incompatable and this problem is with the adobe reader can you please help?

Seriously though... I did professional testing of antivirus software at Intuit for about six months in 2004 and the ONE thing I learned foremost from it was:
Mixing antivirus programs does more harm than good in 99.999% of cases.
I also have a serious problem with Microsoft (in)Security Essentials. I spent six hours reformatting my brother's office computer in May because MSE was unable to detect or prevent the FBI "Ransomware" virus from infecting and taking over his PC. Microsoft is the primary reason that anti-virus software exists in the first place. They built Windows so full of "gaping" security holes, that they're STILL patching them in XP thirteen years after they released it.. just how good can their security software be if they can't identify all of the security flaws that have been in their OS since 2000?
At least you don't have Norton or McAfee installed... (yet). Getting rid of those is more trouble than removing a virus. Find youraelf a good solid antivirus app like TrendMicro or AVG and stick with it. Get rid of all that other stuff as it's causing conflicts in your system whether you see them or not. This errant incompatibility message is a good (or maybe bad) sign that things are starting to act up.

Serious problems with my Shuffle (1GB)...

Alright I am having serious problems with my Shuffle that have been going on for some time.
1) Whenever I plug my Shuffle into the computer the green light stays on constantly and my computer doesn't detect it.
2) My PC 50% of the time crashes about 10 seconds after my Shuffle is plugged in.
3) Whenever I get my computer to detect my Shuffle it automatically disconnects and reconnects itself very quicky (every 30 seconds or so).
4) Whenever I try to update the drivers on it it displays an error message on my PC saying "Disk Write Error" in the update window.
Any suggestions?

Have you looked at the manufacturer's website to see if there is an updated driver for it?
If that doesn't work, I do not know which of the KP troubleshooting steps might resolve the issue. In your place, I would try each one.

Issue installing a TTF 'Serious Problem' with Font Table Directory

I was given a font by a client to use for a project. I have installed TONS of fonts easily and NEVER a problem. But this font ( ASIA-NO. TTF ) will not install via Font Book. The font validator says all items of the font are acceptable except for the 'Font Table Directory' - in which is says there are 'Serious Problems with the Font Table Directory and says Do Not install font. HELP! I need this font for the project. ANY IDEAS Welcome!
