  • My iphone 3gs keeps turning its self off

it keeps turning its self on but wen i put it on the gharger it works perfectly

Try resetting it by holding the on/off and home buttons until you see the Apple logo, then releasing.  If it won't reset, force it into recovery mode and restore it, as outlined here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808.

  • My email keeps erasing its self, how do I fix this problem?

When my email is on my computer for more than 2 days it erases it self, How do I fix this problem?

    Hello, Startroy1.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I would need clarification on the issue to provide a better answer.  However, this could be a permission issue with your iTunes Library folder.  Here is an article that will help you troubleshoot this issue.

  • Since the iOS7 update, my iPad mini keeps turning its self off every 5 minutes of turning on or so. What can fix this?

Since the latest iOS7 update, my iPad mini keeps shutting off and on by itself every 15-20 minutes. I've reset all settings and this has still not solved this problem. What can I do to fix this?

Try a reset first: Press and hold both Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.
If the reset doesn't fix it, try a restore:

First to find the STOP code that is rebooting the system, i need you to reboot your system and tap F8 repeatedly before the Windows XP splash screen. And select "Disable Automatic Restart on System Failure", then wait for your system to randomly reboot and report back here with the STOP Code.

I got my ipod for christmas this year its the 4th generation. It keeps turning the volume down by its self, when i try to turn it up it does not work. It wont let me i dont know why so i cannot play music on my ipod which defeates the reason i got it.Also when it turns the volume down its self or i on the rare occasion that the volume works and i turn it down the speaker comes up and will not go.It stays there which is making my ipod difficult to use.Its been doing this for about a week now.I used it alot and i feel lost without it haha. Does anyone know why its doing this? Or a way i can fix it? I've cheaked for updates and there is none!
    Thankyouuu
it looks like that when it is locked and when its unlocked it looks like this

Have you checked the volume button? It might be physically stuck. To determine whether a hardware repair is needed, you need to follow these steps:
    1. Try doing a hard reset:
Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
After that: test the device to see whether the issue is solved.
    2. If the issue is not solved, you should backup the device and restore it as new.
    In that case, use: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup.
If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.
If you get specific error messages/codes in iTunes when updating/restoring, check this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694 for causes and solutions
    Good luck

  • My ipod keeps pausing by its self

my ipod keeps pausing by its self and i cant get it to stop. It usually does it when i am walking with it or if i change the volume but it will just play normally if i leave it alone. I dont know what to do to fix it and it is starting to get annoying because when i change to a diffrent song it will keep pausing by its self.

It might be, for some reason, that your iPod is just really, really sensitive to movement. I noticed that in an earlier post you mentioned that if you just leave the iPod alone, it plays fine, but when you're moving with it, it pauses.
I do have one question for you, though. When you say your iPod "pauses" does the symbol on the screen physically change from the triangle (play) to the double lines (pause) or does the music just sort of hang?
    Try this:
Create a playlist (either an on-the-go playlist on the iPod, or a playlist in iTunes and then update it to the iPod).
Set the iPod down on a table, select the newly created playlist, and press play. Let the first song of the playlist play for about 30-45 seconds, and then try to pick up the iPod and walk with it. See if it still skips as much.
Also - What kind of iPod is it? Is it every song that does this, or is it a handful of specific songs that cause the problem?

  • My computer keeps switching its internet setting from Airport to Ethernet without me doing anything. How can I fix this??

My computer keeps switching its internet type from "Airport" to  "Ethernet." As my computer is not connected to an Ethernet cable, the ethernet does not work, and so I lose internet connection every time it does this. And it does this two or three times a minute (no exaggeration). This means that, by the time I've changed the setting and refreshed my page, the internet type has changed again, and I'm back to square one.
So far, I've tried the following:
-Reordering the list of priorities on the "Network Preferences" page
-Going to the Ethernet "advanced" options and switching everything to either "off" or from "automatically" to "manually"
    -Rendering the Ethernet inactive
-Finally, I created a new location with only airport on
Usually, doing these things makes the problem go away for a day or two, and then it just comes back again.
It's not a problem with the internet itself, as this has been an ongoing issue for the past few months, and I've switched locations three times since then.
Does anyone know how to make my computer stay on Airport, and NOT switch to the Ethernet setting all the time?

    Hi samanthaspunt,
I would first try these steps:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
If that does not help, I would try un-syncing and resyncing the music via this article:
iTunes: Syncing media content to iPod
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1351
    Cheers!

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPhone shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
