The requested URL
/clients/One_Pensacola/Scripts/AC_RunActiveContent.js was
not found on this server.
You must upload the Scripts folder that DW creates when you
insert the Flash
header.

  • Help with PHP Includes on localhost

    Hi,
    I have a very simple index.html file with a header div.  I have put an include into it like this:
        <div class="header">
          <?php include("includes/header.php"); ?>
        </div><!-- end .header -->
    I have follwed David Powers setup_php to link to my localhost, putting the whole developement web in c:\websites\localhost\crown.
    The actual header.php is in a subdirectory of crown called includes.
    When I publish the site to a live server it works perfectly but not on locahost or in liveview.
    I don't get any errors, just an empty header bar on the page..  I do get a warning across the top of the screen that I haven't installed flash(which I have)
    I believe php is working OK on my localhost as running the php file direct in both liveview and F12 works OK.
    BTW, I'm running CS5 on 64bit Win7 home premium.  I've installed Apache 2.2.15 and php 5.2.14.
    Any pointers greatly appreciated as I'm quite new to this.
    Thanks,
    Tim

    Thanks for that.  It made me check.
    My live server has it because the PHP Includes work there.
    There is an identical htaccess file on my localhost.
    So good helpful pointers but doesn't solve my problem of PHP includes not working on my localhost test site.

  • PHP include in DW CS3

    If I put a tag like this <?php include ('menu.php'); ?>
    in my file, I can only preview it after putting the file on a
    server. How can I preview it in my local computer without uploading
    the files to a server?
    Thanks

    The use of virtual or a root reference in the include
    function forces Apache
    to look at its root folder for the files. It will not find
    them there, and
    therefore the include will fail. The only way to make this
    work would be to
    set up virtual hosts, in which case the root of the site is
    always the
    virtual root you have specified in the httpd.conf file.
    Your use of the $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] autoglobal will
    work on the
    server, but not within DW (I think).

  • Problem with a flash banner in a php includes

    I am creating a site that has many pages and I made an includes file for the header of the page that contains my navigation bar, i then made a template of the page to use for all my pages.
    Now I have created a flash banner that i want to play in the header of all my pages but i´m having problems getting it to show on all the pages.
    Firstly I added the flash swf into my includes file and inserted the flash into the includes file page using insert flash from the dreamweaver menu (code below):
    <?php $currentPage=basename ($_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME']);?>
    <script src="../Scripts/AC_RunActiveContent.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <div id ="adBanner">
      <script type="text/javascript">
    AC_FL_RunContent( 'codebase','http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,28,0','wid th','468','height','60','title','advertise','src','advertise_banner','quality','high','plu ginspage','http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveF lash','movie','advertise_banner' ); //end AC code
    </script><noscript><object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,28,0" width="468" height="60" title="advertise">
        <param name="movie" value="advertise_banner.swf" />
        <param name="quality" value="high" />
        <embed src="advertise_banner.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="468" height="60"></embed>
      </object></noscript>
    </div>
    <div id ="NavBar">
        <p> </p>
        <p> </p>
        <p> </p>
        <p> </p>
        <p> </p>
        <p> </p>
        <p><a href="index.php" <?php if ($currentPage == 'index.php') {echo 'id="here"';}?>>Home</a></p>
        <p><a href="about.php" <?php if ($currentPage == 'about.php') {echo 'id="here"';}?>>About Us</a></p>
      <p><a href="contact.php" <?php if ($currentPage == 'contact.php') {echo 'id="here"';}?>>Contact Us</a></p>
      <p><a href="advertise.php?ad=y" <?php if ($currentPage == 'advertise.php') {echo 'id="here"';}?>>Advertise</a></p>
      <p> </p>
        </div>
    Great the flash ad works when I load the includes page in a browser and when i look at all my other pages that have the link to the includes file the flash file shows as a grey box with F in the center, however if i load any of these pages into a browser the flash ad does not show.
    I also tried doing exactly the same, adding the flash to the header of my template and saving it. However this did not update all of the pages that use the template, the flash ad would play in the browser if I load the template in the browser. (in this instance the actual swf file was in my templates folder with the template page).
    The final thing i tried was just to add the flash to one of my pages just to see if it would work when i loaded the page into a browers, it didn´t and i don´t understand why as it worked on the includes page and template page. (the swf file in this case was in the file along with all the pages of my site).
    It doesn´t seem that i have a problem with the actual flash banner, i just cannot seem to put it in the pages that i want to.
    Any help or input in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

    I don't know if this will be of any help but I have a flash rotator that I use on a few pages setup in a seperate file as well, here is the code from my include file
      <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="884" height="402" id="myFlashContent">
        <param name="movie" value="/Image-Rotator-V2.swf" />
        <!--[if !IE]>-->
        <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="/Image-Rotator-V2.swf" width="884" height="402">
        <!--<![endif]-->
         <a href="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer">
          <img src="http://www.adobe.com/images/shared/download_buttons/get_flash_player.gif" alt="Get Adobe Flash player" />
         </a>
        <!--[if !IE]>-->
        </object>
        <!--<![endif]-->
      </object>
    I also added the following to the head section of the page the flash is used on.
    <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/swfobject/2.2/swfobject.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

  • PHP Include Issue On New Domain

    I have had the site liquidfirefishing.com up and running for some time now.  I am using a PHP include for the header and footer.   I have uploaded the same site to fishlf.com and the header and footer files do not appear, no change to the code.  I receive a warning telling me that there is no such file or directory.  Please look at both links below and let me know what the issue may be.
    http://fishlf.com/about/index.php
    http://www.liquidfirefishing.com/about/index.php
    This is the code I am using for the include.
    <?php   $path = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'];   $path .= "/header.php";   include_once($path);?>

    The header.php file cannot be found in the root directory, hence either place it in the root directory or adjust the path to the correct directory as in
    $path .= "/correctpath/header.php";

  • Question about using a PHP include for the head info...

    Hi,
    I'm currently using PHP includes for my site header and footer info.
    All my js/css files and meta declarations are in the head portion, which is in the header include.
    How would I go about giving each page its own individual TITLE if the modifiable content of my pages is inside the body only? Since we can't specify title inside the body, am I stuck with the same page title for each page on the website?

    Is it true that you header include file has the </head> and <body> tags embedded? It would seem a lot neater - and safer - to use two include files, one for the header and one for the body. That way, the <title> is not in either of them and you can do with it what you will.

  • PHP Include issues

    I'm currently in the process of setting up a new website, and since I'm using several elements that return on every page - I decided to use PHP Include to do this. Problem is that it works for my first pages - but once I go further into detail (read: further into directories), it gets entirely messed up.
    My headers and footers don't show - and my spry menu which is also PHP Included only shows in text.
    Strangely enough it works for my first pages, which are situated one directory away; to illustrate this further I quickly describe how my root folder looks like in the sense of directories:
    ROOT:
    EN (this contains my English pages)
    DK (this contains my Danish pages)
    includes (this contains my PHP Include elements like header, footer, menu)
    images
    I copied off of the internet the following code, to force the line to start checking from the root of the whole folder:
    <?php
        include($_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']."/includes/header.php");
    ?>
    This seemed to work perfectly for my main pages directly situated in the EN directory, but once I'm a couple of directories deeper into the EN folder - it gets completely mocked up. I'm pretty sure this question has been raised many, many times, and believe me, I've looked around.
    I read a lot about config.php - but because of the fact my knowledge in the terrain of PHP is fairly limited - this subject seems truly like Chinese to me. If someone has a guide for dummies out there - that would be great. Otherwise, my question is this:
    How can I make sure my PHP includes show correctly and ACT correctly (in the case my menu) website-wide?
    Thank you in advance for the help!!

    I've never quite gotten to grips with the way 'includes' work. They are a great asset to use but a pain the butt to manage unless you set up a virtual server locally.
    I now always tend to use the full url to the include like:
    For local development:
    <?php include ('http://localhost/myWebFolder/includes/topNavigation.php'); >?
    Then once I'm ready to take it to remote I do a site wide find and replace:
    <?php include ('http://www.myWebSite.com/includes/topNavigation.php'); >?
    Problem runs deeper than that though because if you bring in an 'include file to a document where the 'includes' folder is NOT in the same dircetory the links (if you have links) will be broken.
    Typical example:
    index.php gets the navigation 'include file' from the 'includes' folder sitting directly in the site root folder.
    about.php which is in a directory named 'pages' also calls in the 'include file' from the 'includes' folder BUT it can't link back to the index.php page because the links don't have ../ they have index.php.
    So now for any links included in the 'includes file' you also have to use the full url.

  • Flash Header/Navigation Reload Issue

    I have been researching all day and there are many different solutions, none that are straight forward. I am currently in the process of making a website in Dreamweaver which has a flash header. Problem is the flash header reloads when you go to every page. Is there a simple (I'm a noob) way I can get the flash header to stay open at the top of the website, and the content of each page just change when you go to each page. Thus the flash header and nav buttons do not reload on every page. To review the pages so far; http://www.itrelocation.ca/MiniMe/index.html.
    I thank you in advance. More detail concerning the fix is greatly appreciated.

    I think frames is the only choice you're gonna have.
    I don't know of anything else that allows you to keep one thing loaded while changing other content except Flash itself.  So the only other solution I know of would be to create the site entirely in Flash... no issues reloading anything there once the site is loaded.
    Wait, there is another approach you could consider, using DHTML.  It is a browser dependent approach.  If you look at the source code of this page it uses that approach.  The content that changes is written into javascript variables in the head section.  I made this quite a few years ago for a client, but I haven't heard any complaints about it failing yet...

  • Issue with very basic php include

    Hi there.
    I am creating a site mainly in HTML, but with a file extension of .php due to me wanting to use a few php includes.
    Most of my site files are in the root directly, and the includes I'm using are in an includes directory.
    I have one or two pages that are in their own directory as well.
    In my dreamweaver template file (that all of my pages use and are updated with), I have placed this:
    <?php
    include 'includes/social.inc';
    ?>
    Now this works fine for all of the pages that are in the root directory, but for the ones in another directory, it doesn't.
    So I tried the full address inside the quotes, but the include doesn't work at all with that.
    Can anyone help me with this one... I'm sure its not too hard, just me being stupid.
    Many thanks in advance,
    Craig

    Craig,
    I never use DW's template system for the very fact that you mention. It may be OK for small sites but becomes very combersome for larger sites.
    You are already using SSI's. Why not have a template called index.php that include the files that are required.
    For instance, If the About Us menu button is clicked, you include about.php; if the Contact Us button is clicked, you include contact.php.
    To do this, you will need to include a URL parameter like ?page=about and use that parameter to choose the included file. There may be other ways to achieve the same, but the result will be much more satisfying than using DW's template system.
    For a commercial solution, have a look here http://www.webassist.com/dreamweaver-extensions/framework-builder/

  • Converting Business Catalyst Site to Either a php include site, or wordpress cms

    I have a relatively simple for a client that was developed using business catalyst. I orginally was hoping to move the site to our sever, but have since found out that you must use adobe to host your site when using muse as a development enviornment. I would like to host this site on my server and the most viable option I can see would be to convert the site to either wordpress or a php include site.
    Can anyone help me with converting this site are there any tutorials or resouces that focus on migrating your catalyst site to another cms or server? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

    If it was built in muse it must be a simple enough site that you can just rebuild it in not much time.
    If you're doing it in php i suggest using Twig for templating.

  • Flash site issue

    I have a problem with a flash site I inherited. When I click
    the back button in Internet Explorer it takes me all the the way
    back to the Flash intro and not the last page I was in. This
    appears to be a site issue problem it is not IE related. Any help
    appreciated.

    Hi
    The Browser cannot differeniate between so called 'Pages'
    within a Flash site. To the browser your site is one page, when you
    navigate thru your flash site it does not report 'Page'
    changes to the Browser. However if your navigation changed html
    'Pages' then it would work forwards and backwards.
    To overcome this problem you have to put in your own 'Back' /
    'Next' navigation within the flash site, recording any significant
    page/content change and then allowing the user to decide their
    direction using your controls.
    Hope it helps

  • Php include not working

    Good Afternoon.
    I am having a hard time trying to find what needs to be set to allow url
    include statments in php on Netware 6.5 sp3, php5.
    I know my code is correct after trying it on an external server, and it
    seems all other php coding works. Just not the http includes as shown
    below:
    <?php
    include ('http://your.website.here/filenamehere.php');
    ?>
    php.ini is posted below:
    [PHP]
    ; About php.ini ;
    ; This file controls many aspects of PHP's behavior. In order for PHP to
    ; read it, it must be named 'php.ini'. PHP looks for it in the current
    ; working directory, in the path designated by the environment variable
    ; PHPRC, and in the path that was defined in compile time (in that order).
    ; Under Windows, the compile-time path is the Windows directory. The
    ; path in which the php.ini file is looked for can be overridden using
    ; the -c argument in command line mode.
    ; The syntax of the file is extremely simple. Whitespace and Lines
    ; beginning with a semicolon are silently ignored (as you probably
    guessed).
    ; Section headers (e.g. [Foo]) are also silently ignored, even though
    ; they might mean something in the future.
    ; Directives are specified using the following syntax:
    ; directive = value
    ; Directive names are *case sensitive* - foo=bar is different from FOO=bar.
    ; The value can be a string, a number, a PHP constant (e.g. E_ALL or
    M_PI), one
    ; of the INI constants (On, Off, True, False, Yes, No and None) or an
    expression
    ; (e.g. E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE), or a quoted string ("foo").
    ; Expressions in the INI file are limited to bitwise operators and
    parentheses:
    ; | bitwise OR
    ; & bitwise AND
    ; ~ bitwise NOT
    ; ! boolean NOT
    ; Boolean flags can be turned on using the values 1, On, True or Yes.
    ; They can be turned off using the values 0, Off, False or No.
    ; An empty string can be denoted by simply not writing anything after the
    equal
    ; sign, or by using the None keyword:
    ; foo = ; sets foo to an empty string
    ; foo = none ; sets foo to an empty string
    ; foo = "none" ; sets foo to the string 'none'
    ; If you use constants in your value, and these constants belong to a
    ; dynamically loaded extension (either a PHP extension or a Zend
    extension),
    ; you may only use these constants *after* the line that loads the
    extension.
    ; About this file ;
    ; This is the recommended, PHP 5-style version of the php.ini-dist file.
    It
    ; sets some non standard settings, that make PHP more efficient, more
    secure,
    ; and encourage cleaner coding.
    ; The price is that with these settings, PHP may be incompatible with some
    ; applications, and sometimes, more difficult to develop with. Using this
    ; file is warmly recommended for production sites. As all of the changes
    from
    ; the standard settings are thoroughly documented, you can go over each
    one,
    ; and decide whether you want to use it or not.
    ; For general information about the php.ini file, please consult the
    php.ini-dist
    ; file, included in your PHP distribution.
    ; This file is different from the php.ini-dist file in the fact that it
    features
    ; different values for several directives, in order to improve
    performance, while
    ; possibly breaking compatibility with the standard out-of-the-box
    behavior of
    ; PHP. Please make sure you read what's different, and modify your scripts
    ; accordingly, if you decide to use this file instead.
    ; - register_globals = Off [Security, Performance]
    ; Global variables are no longer registered for input data (POST, GET,
    cookies,
    ; environment and other server variables). Instead of using $foo, you
    must use
    ; you can use $_REQUEST["foo"] (includes any variable that arrives
    through the
    ; request, namely, POST, GET and cookie variables), or use one of the
    specific
    ; $_GET["foo"], $_POST["foo"], $_COOKIE["foo"] or $_FILES["foo"],
    depending
    ; on where the input originates. Also, you can look at the
    ; import_request_variables() function.
    ; Note that register_globals is going to be depracated (i.e., turned
    off by
    ; default) in the next version of PHP, because it often leads to
    security bugs.
    ; Read http://php.net/manual/en/security.registerglobals.php for
    further
    ; information.
    ; - register_long_arrays = Off [Performance]
    ; Disables registration of the older (and deprecated) long predefined
    array
    ; variables ($HTTP_*_VARS). Instead, use the superglobals that were
    ; introduced in PHP 4.1.0
    ; - display_errors = Off [Security]
    ; With this directive set to off, errors that occur during the
    execution of
    ; scripts will no longer be displayed as a part of the script output,
    and thus,
    ; will no longer be exposed to remote users. With some errors, the
    error message
    ; content may expose information about your script, web server, or
    database
    ; server that may be exploitable for hacking. Production sites should
    have this
    ; directive set to off.
    ; - log_errors = On [Security]
    ; This directive complements the above one. Any errors that occur
    during the
    ; execution of your script will be logged (typically, to your server's
    error log,
    ; but can be configured in several ways). Along with setting
    display_errors to off,
    ; this setup gives you the ability to fully understand what may have
    gone wrong,
    ; without exposing any sensitive information to remote users.
    ; - output_buffering = 4096 [Performance]
    ; Set a 4KB output buffer. Enabling output buffering typically
    results in less
    ; writes, and sometimes less packets sent on the wire, which can often
    lead to
    ; better performance. The gain this directive actually yields greatly
    depends
    ; on which Web server you're working with, and what kind of scripts
    you're using.
    ; - register_argc_argv = Off [Performance]
    ; Disables registration of the somewhat redundant $argv and $argc
    global
    ; variables.
    ; - magic_quotes_gpc = off [Performance]
    ; Input data is no longer escaped with slashes so that it can be sent
    into
    ; SQL databases without further manipulation. Instead, you should use
    the
    ; function addslashes() on each input element you wish to send to a
    database.
    ; - variables_order = "GPCS" [Performance]
    ; The environment variables are not hashed into the $_ENV. To access
    ; environment variables, you can use getenv() instead.
    ; - error_reporting = E_ALL [Code Cleanliness, Security(?)]
    ; By default, PHP surpresses errors of type E_NOTICE. These error
    messages
    ; are emitted for non-critical errors, but that could be a symptom of
    a bigger
    ; problem. Most notably, this will cause error messages about the use
    ; of uninitialized variables to be displayed.
    ; - allow_call_time_pass_reference = Off [Code cleanliness]
    ; It's not possible to decide to force a variable to be passed by

  • Error message when trying to open PHP include?

    Hi there,
    I have seen a number of posts here about issues with
    Contribute editing PHP pages and am starting to get concerned... I
    have another one to add to the list.
    I have created a site that uses PHP includes for the header
    and the drop down menus, so that the client can go in and edit one
    or two files to change things sitewide. Sounds good, right? Well,
    in Contribute I can't open either of the PHP files that are being
    included to edit them. I keep getting errors and whether I click on
    "YES" or "NO" (to the question of whether I want to continue
    running scripts on the page) it doesn't let me out...the error
    warning box keeps popping up and I am in an endless loop. The only
    way out is CTRL-ALT-DELETE.
    One guess I had is that I am maybe missing something
    important in the included PHP file that is necessary for it to be
    recognized as a proper PHP file? In other words, the included PHP
    files contain no header tags or anything like that, it is literally
    just some divs that are supposed to be inserted at a particular
    point on every page. Am I missing something, or am I encountering a
    limitation of Contribute?
    Many thanks!!
    Tim

    I think it's the content of the include that is causing your
    troubles. Somehow you created a menu using Fireworks(?) or
    Dreamweaver(?) and Contribute indicates javascripterrors, not php
    errors...
    Maybe its better, in this case, constructing a menu that
    contains only an unordered list (check out project7 menus, or stu
    nichols css site for more examples). Updating the menu will be
    simpeler and also with less chance of errors by users. You can open
    such a file without any troubles in Contribute.

  • Problems using a php include file with an Add-on Domain.

    Hello,
    I am having an issue getting a php include file to work with a new add-on domain I am working on getting up and running.
    This include file is one that supplies the rest of the php code to a contact form page.  It works as it should for my original domain, same file no difference.  I made sure that the files hosted on the remote server had all read, write, execute permissions turned on.
    I have tried putting the include file in several different locations as a test, such as:
    I don't remember the exact name of the include file at the moment, as I'm at work so I will designate it below as 'includefile.php'.
    file path for add-on domain - ../public_html/lorentzpainting/includes/includefile.php
    alternatives I tried moving the file to - ../public_html/lorentzpainting/includefile.php
    When none of those options worked, I tried just pointing the path towards other places on the server that have the include file such as:
    ../public_html/includes/includefile.php
    ../public_html/includefile.php
    What can I do here?  Should I just give up on using the include and put all the code back in the page?  Doesn't seem like it should be this complicated, it works perfectly fine for my other site.. and still does.
    Thanks ahead of time to those who may assist me.

    here is the contents of the include file:

  • PHP page looks fine by itself, but CSS Divs fall apart on PHP include

    Hi everyone. Thanks for your help in advance, this problem I'm having really has me puzzled.
    The issue I'm having is, I have two php files. body.php with content to be included and index-3.php as the container. When I load body.php by itself in the browser, the layout looks fine.  When I load the index-3.php file that uses the php include function to load body.php through itself, some of the divs in the body.php file come apart.
    I'm old hat at building pages with tables and Iframes, but very new at using divs and php.
    Here are the two files, so you can see for yourselves:
    http://www.hitn.tv/index-3.php (the container)
    http://www.hitn.tv/body.php (the included)
    Is this a CSS issue, or a php issue?

    Hi there, and welcome to the forums!
      Could you please provide a screenshot of the website when it is previewed in a browser/live view? This way I can better understand the conflicts that are occuring in your code.
      It is always a good practice when coding a website to preview it in the browser as you code, to make sure there are no conflicts. It's important to remember that in the end, your viewers will be viewing your site in a browser, not in Dreamweaver's preview. : )
