Flash in left column

I would like to insert a Flash file directly below a Nav bar in the left column. It works on the template preview but when I preview the actual pages that use the template I only get a white box. Is there some reason a swf file won't work in that location? (CS3)

I missed you in iChat yesterday as I was posting this to let you know.
It is mostly as the Page 7 stuff is but laid out in a form that can be used without tables or extra div sections of HTML.
As I am sure there are newer things that we have missed such as

Anyhow it might flush out some some more anyway.
I still feel that the credit for this lies with you.
I am going to leave it for a while to see what comes up here and in the other forums of items that might need a mention.

I cannot change song order on playlist with highlight and drag. I have turned off shuffle and highlighted the far left column( up/down arrow) of playlist. My mac pro is running 10.5.8 and am using itunes 10.4.

No such option for moving song within playlist, only the up and down arrow which moves song from top to bottom list, so if it is #4 from top it will move to #4 from bottom. Stupid I know. I spent over an hour with Apple support, reinstalled itunes, restarted and rebooted computer. Networked with my laptop which is running 10.6.8 and itunes 10.4 and it can drag and drop. The final Apple support solution was to reinstall my operating system. I would prefer not to. Any other ideas?

After looking at other people's posts, I think it's official: there is a bug. Itunes support said I should not have lost the drag/drop tool and I haven't on the laptop that is running itunes 10.4 and operating system 10.6.8. I chatted with someboby who lost both his drag/drop and side scroll and what we have in common is a wacom tablet for a mouse. My laptop is a wireless mouse. I reinstalled whatever updated driver that wacom has out there, shut the system down for night, hoping for magic, but alas none to be had. So if I want to change song order, I network the laptop and desktop, share the screen on the laptop, drag and drop to my heart's content and curse Apple for making me work this hard to find the tool that was once at my fingertips. Apple also let me know that if I want to share songs in household that the hundreds on songs that were purchased for .99 need to be repurchased for another .30. Maybe Apple is holding my drag/drop tool captive til I pay up the money or Maybe the next update will fix the problem, I for one give up for now.

Times missing in left column in week view

I am using iCal 2.0.3 and the hour times to not show in the left column in week view. Noon is present, but no others. There have been a few occasions that times have shown up, but then the next time they are gone. I set up a new user and went into iCal and the dates show. All my prefs are the same in my account and the "new user".
I am suspecting that there is corrupted prefs file of some sort, but I am reluctant to just delete files without knowing which one. Since I installed 10.4 a few months ago, I have found a lot of settings changed that upgrades should have kept intact in preferences.
Any suggestions?

After the latest update I can no longer see my iPhone listed on the left column - how do you get to where you can pick

After the latest itunes update I can no longer see my iPhone listed on the left column. How can I get to the section where I can pick & choose apps etc to be synced?
Also I had to get a new iPhone & so I backed up the night before to the cloud & my computer. When I tried to restore from back up with the new phone my back up wasn't there - shouldn't it be automatic via wifi from the cloud?
What am I doing wrong?

You can also simply click View>Show Sidebar and it will look about the same as it did before.

Home sharing won't appear in the left column on iTunes for PC

I have 2 macs that sharing works and that I have acces of home sharing in the left column.
I just reinstalled XP and running iTunes 10.5.3 on my PC and everything is setted up like my macs but home sharing won't appear in the left column and I don't see the PC's library on my macs.
Everything is turned on with the same email account.
Is there a probleme on PC...

Last night I tried to sync my IPOD nano, and could not pull up the summary page. It would connect and charge the IPOD, but did not pop up as a "device" in the left column, so I could not click it and get to summary page and sync new music. Same laptop for a year, same IPOD, synced 3 days ago with no problem. Now all of a sudden, I can't sync. No message or other window pops up to tell me if something is wrong. How can I fix this?

How to decrease the width of left column in the "2 column layout"?

I create two webdynpro based iViews in the EP, then I create a page use the "2 column layout(Narrow:Wide)".I put one iview in the left column and another iview in the right column. When I preview my page, I found the left column still too wide. So how to decrease the width of my page's left column?

Hi Deyang,
You have to create your own layout:
- Navigate to System Administration->Support
- Choose Portal Runtime -> Browse Deployment
- Navigate under pcd or under temp, and download the layouts par (com.sap.portal.layouts.default.par.bak if I recall correctly)
- Import that par as a project to Developer Studio
- Make your changes (create a new jsp acording to the existing examples, and update the portalapp.xml accordingly)
- Export to par (in a different name!) and deploy
- In the portal content: new from par -> Layout (don't forget to mark it as a template).
- Your new layout template will now be available when you create new pages.

Pages for iPad - how to change left column in modern photo resume

Hi there ladies and gents. I've spent the better part of an hour poking around and researching this, but I think I just need to ask an expert.
I'm trying to create a "modern photo resume" document in pages on my ipad2. It starts out with a formatted document filled in with Lorum ipsum. The main body of the document is no problem, I can change that. The part I'm having a problem with is the left column text, with the name "Urna Semper," closely followed by another box of contact information with the same, uneditable properties. For the life of me, I can't find a way to edit any of this text. Selecting it only yields four options: cut, copy, delete, and lock. In the toolbar I can format it, change the size, font, layout, color, you name it. Anything you can think of except what the text in these boxes actually says.
It's driving me crazy.
Anyone with solutions to this will be my hero for the day. Thanks so much!

These are merge fields.
A double tap on them selects all and then you can type whatever you want in their place.

How can I make a new item in left column in iPhoto?

I would like to add an item in the left column of iPhoto list of Library, Albums, etc. for "Folders" because when I sort "Albums", folders are not sorted with it.
Is there a way to do that?
If not, how can I separate albums from folders or have folders sorted amont the albums?

You can not "create" new source catagories
Folders hold either albums or other folders - so you can create an "all folders" folder and place all of your folders in it

My albums and slideshows disappeared from the left column when I ejected a Canon camera after a download. My version of iPhoto '08 (V7.1.5(378)) had just crashed when I first connected the Canon camera to download. I restarted iPhoto.....

I restarted iPhoto.....successfully downloaded 22 photos, and ejected Canon camera, upon which albums & slideshows highlighted blue and disappeared from the left column. The photos still seem to be under the EVENTS and PHOTOS in the LIBRARY. Any thoughts?

I cannot locate numerous songs in my library. When I click to play the window state that it cannot locate the song. When I look at my I-Tunes LIbrary under songs the far left column has "!" in it. I do not know what this means.

I have been able to re-load all of the songs to my I-Pod touch that were not lost on the computer. All of the songs were lost when I did a download of the new operating system. Has anyone had this proble, and does anyone know how I can locate the files on my PC. The list of songs and the album art have remained in the I-tunes window but the songs cannot be played because they cannot be located. Does anyone know about the "!" in the left column and can this help in recovering the songs. There are over 1700 songs that I cannot locate so I would appreciate all the help i can get.

Hi,
All I do is click on the song, it asks me if I would like to locate it and I go to my music first. It's normally in there and you just click on it and it reloads. Or, search in your computer for it and it will locate it if it's there. Click C drive and you can see all files then move the track to my music first. Finally you could delete iTunes, reload it and press button: scan for media then it will give you back one of every song you have ever loaded digitally!
