Flash in Sony Bloggie Touch?

Hello.
I got a Sony Bloggie Touch as a present. Is it me or does its digital camera not have a flash for dark shots?
Thank you in advance.

Hello Ant and welcome to the Users Discussion Forum.
The Sony Bloggie Touch doesn't have a built-in flash or light to assist dark shots. However our newer line up, the the Bloggie Live and Bloggie Sport have a built-in LED video light so you can shoot in total darkness.Thanks. I guess it can't be used as a real camera then.

  • Sony Bloggie touch camera download to Ipad

Can anyone tell me if and how I can download videos and photos from my Sony Bloggie touch camera directly to my Ipad? I have tried doing it using the USB camera adapter kit and I get a message on the Ipad saying "Cannot use device. The connected USB device requires too much power".

I am using the camera connection kit USB adapter. Can't use the card reader because the camera doesn't have an sd card only internal memory. I have a gut feeling that the camera is trying to charge through the USB port (which is where it charges from) but  the Ipad is showing that message because maybe something isn't set right on the camera. Thanks for the help though. Any further thoughts/ideas would be appreciated.

  • SONY Bloggie MHS-TS20 install issue

I bought a SONY Bloggie Touch MHS-TS20 and am trying to launch the software. I get so far as installing it and says 'starting', but then i get directed to a google chrome page that says:
" oops! google chrome could not connect to localhost:2468" then nothing. I've tried un-installing it and re-installing but I get the same error message everytime. I'm using an HP with Vista.

    Hello All,
Out of curiosity - Have you tried to disable the Firewall software prior to installing the software? I know when I did the install (I don't use google chrome) but Windows Firewall did require that I "Allow" the bloggie software access to the internet.
Try disabling your Firewall software be it Symantec, Norton, McAfee or Windows - Then install the software and see if you have the problem.

  • Sony Bloggie compatible?

I have recently bought a Sony Bloggie which I was assured would download footage to my iPad but when I plug it in it tells me the USB device needs more power. Is there a way round this? Thanks

I was told today by Sony that the Bloggie touch is not compatible with the Ipad. Some of the earlier models are.?? The engineers at Sony are working on a fix for this and are hoping a firmware update will do the trick. We'll be waiting!!

  • Problem with SD card and Sony Bloggie MHS-CM5

I have just bought a Sony Bloggie model MHS-CM5 and a SanDisk SDHC (number 4) 4gb card. For some reason when I turn it on, it was saying "error formatting sd card" or something very similar. I did some research and saw a problem somewhat similar, tried connecting to my computer, taking the battery out and back in, formatting card from camera options, and now it is saying there is no space on the memory card when it is brand new. I am fairly good with these things and I am stumped. Any help is greatly appreciated!

A SDHC type 4 4GB card should work fine with your bloggie, so try the card in another device and try another card in your bloggie to establish which is having the issue. If you find that the bloggie is having issues with several different cards it may need service. Give Sony support a call and they will be happy to help:

    Hi,
There is separate board for the Bloggie camera. I am moving this post to the appropriate board so that others looking for the same information can locate it under the correct board.
Now to answer your post, instructions regarding using the basic functions of the Bloggie Camera can be found in the supplied manual. However, detailed instructions regarding the different functions of the Bloggie camera can be found in the Bloggie Handbook included on its internal memory.
You can also download the handbook from the below link.

Additionally, there are video tutorials available for the Bloggie camera in the “Videos & Tutorials” section of the eSupport website.
For instructions regarding installing and using the Bloggie software, refer to the below link to some great tutorials on the Bloggie that I found on the Sony UK website.

  • Importing Sony Bloggie camera's MP4 videos?

    Hello.
Can iPhoto '08 and '11 import MP4 video recordings from a Sony Bloggie camera? I tried this on an old 15" MacBook Pro with its updated Mac OS X 10.5.8 and its preinstalled iPhoto '08. It detected them in iPhoto, but can't play? However, opening MP4 in Finder for QuickTime seems to work. Will Mac OS X 10.8.3 and iPhoto '11 have the same problem? Basically, iPhoto is like with photo(graph)s to keep in collections.
    Thank you in advance.

If QuickTime can play it then iPhoto should too. Are you sure the exact verion of the OS on that machine? iPhoto08 and 10.6 had a problem playing videos, but not 10.5
Well, I tried to play them when iPhoto automatically appeared after connecting and turning on the camera. Note that I have not imported them yet. If I try to play them through Finder, then it works.

  • Sony Bloggie Live - Facebook uploading.

I am attempting to log into Facebook with my Sony Bloggie Live. After inputting my Facebook login information a Pop-Up appears that says "Please close this window and return to the application".
While I am able to hit the close button when I have the Bloggie connected to my computer using PlayMemories, there is no close button when uploading using just the Bloggie.
How do I resolve this problem?
Thank You in advance to whoever can help.

    Hi Elizabeth,
    Welcome to Sony Community!
Make sure that you’ve registered your access point with the Camera. Try turning OFF and ON the Camera. Also, try to share videos using different sharing sites and check if it works.

  • Sony Bloggie -- How to trim video

I generally use my Sony Bloggie to shoot concerts. My question is in regards to trimming videos, so I can extract one song out of a set and post onto YouTube. When I hit the Trim button on one of my segments, the screen goes into "One Moment Please" for an inordinately amount of time and doesn't do anything. How long is this supposed to stay there until the new video is produced? Am I doing something wrong? An answer would be much appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forums.
Often, a video clip you have taken may be longer than you want or some sharing services such as YouTube, Flickr, or Facebook, has a file size or play length requirement.
Currently, YouTube limits a video clip to a maximum file size of 2GB or 15 minutes. With all Flickr accounts (free and premium), a video clip is limited to 150 MB in size or 90 seconds in length. Facebook video file size and play length limits are dynamically determined based on a users’ profile based on a host of criteria.
Bloggie Software allows you to trim the beginning and ending portions of a video clip.
    To trim a video:
    *first select the video clip.
On the right hand side in the Voice area, a “Trim Video” option appears.
    *Click on “Trim Video”.
*The Trim video tool will appear.
You can adjust the beginning and the ending of the video by adjusting the marker on the left to where you would like the video clip to begin, and the marker on the right to where the video clip will end. When you are happy with the video clip, you can trim the video.
    *select the “Trim” button.
The trimmed video will then be displayed as well as a copy of the video will be created and appear in the Bloggie Software “Everything” view. To return back to your Library of photos and videos, select the “Close” button.
If your computer is hanging and will not complete the trimming process please ensure any resident security programs are not preventing the Bloggie software from completing the task.

  • Sony Bloggie TS20

We purchased 3 Sony Bloggie TS20.
ON the box it's says 4 hours of recording, but the fine print in the manual says - continuous recording of movies is possible for approximately 29 minutes.  also recording stops automatically to prevent the file size from exceeding 2 GB.
I need the cameras to video sessions of 45-50 minutes each.
Does anyone have suggestion of some other camera with will do?   (same type as this, small, sleek and simple)
    Thanks

  • Flash Player on the Touch's Safari Browser?

I'm I right in assuming that the Safari browser on the (16GB) iPod Touch does not support Flash, as so far any attempts to use Flash programs like YouTube (not through the dedicated browser) and other video streaming applications have not worked. If it does support it, how do I go about installing it? Thanks
Another slightly related question: when I use the dedicated YouTube browser I keep finding that it crashes a lot, and when it doesn't crash it takes an awful long time to load and is very slow to respond to the video controls. Is this how it is meant to be or is there another reason behind this. Thanks again.

There is currently no Flash player for the Touch. There is no way to install anything that will enable it. Whether there ever will is beyond the scope of my crystal ball.
Can't answer the YouTube question as I've never had that problem.

  • Bloggie Touch critical FAIL

Greets, hopefully someone from Sony will read this and cause an update to be done.
2 separate times now I have inadvertantly deleted all the content from my device. Often when I am done shooting a clip I will hold the camera in my hand or put it in my pocket while I am talking to whomever I just filmed or doing something else.
I have found that with only 3 "touches" from the main screen that you confirm that you want to delete all content- this is ridiculous! There should be a complex set of touches to delete all content. If I fail to turn off the camera, well it is easy to do if you are holding the device in your hand.
SONY PLEASE MAKE A CHANGE- I HAVE LOST SOME IMPORTANT VIDEO

Hello and welcome to the forums.
If you leave your Bloggie in the on position while it is in your pocket, and you are concerned with loss of your videos, might we suggest using the Protect feature to prevent accidental deletion.
please refer to page 51 of the Bloggie guide to show how to quickly protect your video .
    http://www.docs.sony.com/release/MHSTSs ... ndbook.pdf
When in the on position it is recommended to use the wrist strap to carry your Bloggie to prevent accidental touches.

  • The flash on my iPod touch 5 worked fine until I upgraded to iOS 7. I have made all the updates to 7.0.2, but none have addressed fixing the flash. When is Apple going to issue an update that will include fixing this problem?

I've seen several discussions on the camera flash for iPhone and iPod Touch 5 wherein the flash doesn't work or is out of sync. Mine was fine until I upgraded to iOS 7. Despite being current with the new updates, there has been nothing to fix the flash.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
      - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
