Flash install not possible.

Hi,
I create a flash archive of a sparc maschine (Solaris 8)and now I try to install this flash archive on an other sparc maschine witch my jumpstart server (X86 witch Solaris 10).
So I have to create a rules OK file. But this fails with the following message:
Error in file "install_solaris_flash", line 1
install_type flash_install
ERROR: Invalid install type specified
contense of the rules file:
hostname flash - install_solaris_flash Finish_flash
The name of the server is flash!
Is the jumpstart Server with x86 processor the reason?

I think you have checked the Indicator: Term for installment payment in the payment term.(OBB8)
That's the reason you are getting this error message.
Use
Terms for installment payment are used as an entry tool when entering
    documents in Financial Accounting. Instead of entering several line
    items, you only enter the data for one item. The breakdown is carried out
    by the system automatically by means of the payment terms.
Procedure
Set this indicator if several items with different due dates are to be
    generated from one line item when using this payment term.
Dependencies
For all payment terms that stand for an installment payment, the
percentage specifications must be defined for the breakdown of the total
amount. In addition, you must specify which payment terms are to be valid
for the resulting partial amount for each percentage rate.
The terms of payment key can determine the following:

AIR 3.7 Android 4.3 - Play Store Install not possible

Hi,
this is just to inform people with AIR 3.7 Android Apps at the Google Play Store.
We have an App at the Google Play Store which was compiled with AIR 3.7.
This App was running fine till updating a Device to Android 4.3.
Now this App can NOT be installed anymore via the Google Play Store.
The error is: Package is not signed correct.
We will now compile the App with AIR 3.8 and resubmit it or is there anything else we can do?

I have not tested on a 4.3 device (do not have access to one yet), but I did test on a 4.0 device and everything worked well.
The quotes I posted are just on version 2.0.2 which was built with 3.7.0.209. There were a few complaints on the previous version 2.0.0 which was built with 3.7.0.1860, but not as many.
I am able to install the app both from Google Play and by downloading it off DropBox and allowing foreign files to install on my devices, it works great on all my test devices but some users, most of whom are not running 4.3, are having issues.
Previous to 2.0.0 the app was probably built with 3.6, it has been a while since the update before 2.0.0.
The paid app is also running 3.7.0.209. I got excited and update both apps yesterday and both are having similar issues, less comments on the paid one because less users obviously. I am now rolling out 2.0.3 update for the free app which uses 3.8.0.1040 if that fixes the issues I will update the paid one as well, if not then I am rolling it back to 3.7.0.1860. I don't like exprimenting on live users for obvious reasons, app has over 5 million downloads so it is a good sampling if nothing else.

"Flash Player for Mobile" does not work on Apple's iOS based devices, but "Flash Player" itself works fine on Macs based on OS X. So you certainly can use it.

Creative Cloud : Flash did not install but Application Manager says the program is "Up to Date"

I tried to instal Flash via the Application Manager the other day, my laptop went to sleep during install and when I woke it back up again the installation had frozen. I closed the manager and rebooted my laptop. The application manager now says that Flash installed and is "Up to Date"
But the application is not on my laptop... I looked in the adobe folder and there is nothing for flash. Searching comes up with no results.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app manager but the same thing appears, I have no way to reinstall Flash. If you have any ideas please let me know!

I am having a similar issue. Application manager says these programs are installed: Ps, Ae, Dw, Sg, Pl, Creative Cloud, but only Air and Premiere show in the Programs and Features panel as having been installed. The directories are all there, too, under Programs, but the programs won't run (nothing on start menu or in the programs list from that).
In addition, you say to uninstall the Application Manager, but it's not listed on the installed programs either. If I click on the downloaded file for it's intallation, it simply runs the program, as if it's already installed. Shouldn't it be under Progams and Features as an uninstallable program?
So, first, how do I uninstall the Application Manager? I like the idea of using this simple interface, so would like to continue to use it again after re-install.
Second, I would try manually installing the programs that are missing, but I don't know if that's safe considering the targeted directories are already full of files and data, as if they were installed, but didn't register properly with Windows to be able to be run.
I am not blaming Adobe on this, by the way, but I suspect that, because it was taking so long to install all the listed programs, I left the computer on and went to sleep, and possibly some power-saving feature interrupted the installation progress. It's a brand-new, very fast laptop, a Lenovo Y500 with Windows 8, and I just don't know how to control everything on it yet.

Satellite M40-237: CD Boot not working + is USB flash drive boot possible

*Model: Satellite M40-237 (PSM40E)*
I decided to reinstall windows, my hard drive is currently formatted. So as usual, boot from Windows CD is needed to start instalation but it simply won't boot. I never had problems like this, boot always worked. It is like there is no bootable CD in the drive (but it is bootable and it is working on another PC).
- i have the latest BIOS
- BIOS detects optical drive and everything is ok, HDD is primary ODD is secondary
- i tried selecting boot priority with F12 and/or setting it from BIOS, but it won't work either way
What could be the problem here? Drive not working properly (i hope it is that and not something worse)? I had some problems with the drive i before (writing...), but it reads CD/DVD's normally and like i said boot was working fine before. I cleaned the lens a little, disconected it and put it back. Is there anything more i can do ?
I am trying to find someone who has the drive that fits so i can try with that one, but who knows when will that be.
Now, here is the second question i have related to this. Because my laptop is practically useless currently (i can't install anything), is it possible to boot from:
a) external USB optical drive
b) USB flash drive
Bios on this laptop has no USB boot option, it has HDD / CD / FDD / network. But I've red somewhere that FDD = USB if legacy emulation is enabled.
If that is correct i should just plug the USB drive and select FDD as boot option ? If i can't find USB optical drive, i was thinking of making USB bootable flash disk and copying windows xp installation on it. So once it boots into DOS i just start setup from the stick.

First of all I have to say that the booting from USB flash memory (USB stick) is not possible and you shouldnt waste the time trying this.
Regarding your CD/DVD drive booting issue
Well, its really strange it sounds a little bit like a kind of master/slave/c-sel settings issue. But usually you should get a IDE (#0 or #1) error if one of the devices (HDD or ODD) would be not recognized ?:|

Several months ago a friend of mine was not able to boot from the CD.
He entered the BIOS and set the BIOS back to the default settings.

Flash and quicktime export not possible at all!

as there was no result on my prev post, here again:
i use keynote'08 4.02 on imac with 2gb and osx 10.5.2.
i created a presentation with 15 slides and over all 16,5 minutes.
each slide has a mp3 sound file attached (the speakers voice recorded externally).
now i am facing following problems on *export to flash* (export is around 18mb):
1) synchronization of voice and effects is different than inside keynote - i fixed this by changing times and export/test cycles, as long until i run sync in swf (please make it sync - this is terrible).
2) starting with slide 13 some objects do not appear - in further slides many objects do not appear. the sound and time is ok, but not much to see. if i split the presentation into 2 parts, the export works fine, all objects appear in all slides, but i found no way to combine those 2 swf files....
3) in one slide i found out that the order of appearing/disappearing objects confuses the swf export, so that many objects afterwards are not at all shown.... i played around long and splitted the slide in 2 slides and with some workarounds i got it show all objects.
4) it would be great if at least some transitions and most effects would be supported and times of effects would be the same inside keynote and in exported swf.
*exporting to quicktime*:
1) first i had one large mp3 for the whole presentation and added it as soundtrack and synced it inside keynote. exporting this to quicktime made it run async. but at least export was possible for the full presentation.
2) i splitted the mp3 for each slide and added each mp3 to each corresponding slide. this way i made it possible to export to swf (see above). but quicktime export now has no sound and slide shows up nearly endless.... qt export is impossible.
what can i do?
at least it would help me if i can export ONE swf file.
best would be if it has same sync inside keynote and in swf - but i can live for now with swf export optimized sync that doesnt work inside keynote. but it should be fixed at least in the future....

I'm currently having a similar problem, where the Flash exported by Keynote seems to randomly miss some objects on the page that appear after a click or a delay. In fact, in one case, I had embedded a EPS file in the slide, and some parts of the embedded file were exported to Flash but not others. I'm using Keynote 3.0.2, so I'm sorry to hear that Keynote '08 still has this bug which makes Flash export pretty awful to deal with.

hello Dahveed, thanks for your reply, i solved it with the help of the migration assistant from another mac - now it works (but before as more info: for my new imac it was not possible to install apple remote desktop from appstore (the install-button not available, the same as installed already...) - and i don't know why...? - is it possible that the reason is the number of owned macs?)

Flash installed and up to date however flash does not run on any web browser

I was catching up on watching a televsion show and watching it with no issues/no problems with flash before. I went to the website below and all of a sudden flash is not working. I did not change any settings, run any updates. I checked various browsers, flash content is not working on any of them. I can view youtube videos however just about any other site I've tried, nothing and many websites will not display correctly. I tried some of the troubleshooting suggestions in the forum however some of them I'm unable to do such as alter the flash settings, it takes me to the page but tells me I don't have Flash installed. I've tried switching user accounts on my pc as others have said flash works for them on the other account however mine is still broken. I've actually tried a system restore, still no luck.
Windows 8 (64 bit)
Flash Version 11.9.900.152
Tried web browsers IE, Firefox, Chrome - I've verified it is enabled
Active X is disabled
I've ran the 'test' to verify Flash is installed and it displays the video
I ran the debugger however I do not know how to interpret the data.

Multiple usage of Source System is not possible with installed DMIS version on source

Hello folks!
I`ve got a problem trying to adjust the Data Replication to SAP BW (on HANA) using SAP LT Replication Server.
I`ve deleted one connection and after that I`m trying to create new one through Configuration & Monitoring Dashboard (transaction LTR) with the same source / target systems.
As result when on the second step (Specify Source System) I specify RFC destination of the source system it appears an error with text
"Multiple usage of Source System is not possible with installed DMIS version on source".
But there`s no any adjusted connection in system now..
Please, help me to understand how to fix that problem, I can`t find a solution

Hi,
When you say that you 'deleted one connection', did you delete the RFC connection or the SLT Configuration? If it is not a real multiple usage scenario, then deactivate the 'allow multiple usage' flag, else install the correct DMIS version on both SLT and source.

Says Flash installed but is not

Flash player says it has successfully installled, but it hasn't. See lots of other similar threads, but none of the suggestions seem to help, and our computer is not identical to any of the threads I've found.
We have two browsers - Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. Mozilla Firefox works fine, no problems at all (first time).
I have tried installing on Internet Explorer multiple times, over multiple weeks, and just tried again I think three times tonight.
I changed IE to default browser (weeks ago).
I have changed settings to medium internet security and ensured scripting was enabled (which it was already, but was previously on medium high security).
Goes through initialising etc, no error messages at any point, says installation successful and you are now running Flash.
It does not come up with the agreeing to license dialogue box, or where it should say do you want automatic updates.
If try to use on any site, comes up with needing to download latest version of Flash.
If I go into Flash help sections, comes up as blank box under what version is installed.
If I go to Flash can you see the movie it also comes up with a blank box.
It does show Flash IS enabled, version 11.8.800.94
Internet Explorer we are using is Internet Explorer 10.
Is a laptop, has a 32 bit system.
OS is Windows 7.
Any ideas how I can get Flash to install (not just say it is installed, but actually installed and working), without having manual work around of copy and paste the web path to our Mozilla Firefox browser (pain because I primarily use IE because I like shortcut setup).

Thank you for responding. Now working - thank you. Details below.
Tried to download using “Direct Links For Internet Explorer” on the link provided. I got to click the tick box “I have read and agree to the terms of the Flash Player License Agreement” and press install. (This did not come up previously, but did have downloading progress bar and Flash notification of installation successful previously.)
It then immediately came up with “the installer will automatically continue when these conflicting applications are closed: Internet Explorer.” I shut down IE, and waited 20 minutes, nothing appeared to be happening. I closed box (with cross in upper right hand corner, not pressing “quit”). No further dialogue boxes, no messages, no errors, but no successful installation either.
Redid and closed IE (and all other open programs) at point of agreeing to terms of Flash coming up and before clicking agree and install. Came up with same dialogue box “the installer will automatically continue when these conflicting applications are closed: Internet Explorer”, even though Explorer was then closed. I waited 20 minutes again, again no further messages or anything else from Adobe, again closed with cross, again no further messages or anything else from Adobe.
Redid using “Flash player for Active X (Internet Explorer)” also on page you gave link to. Did exactly the same as above.
Tried using and still no success.
Flash player was already enabled.
Active X filtering is a bit different on my explorer (IE10) – has single entry for active X, which just has a tick, viewable when just drop down the main Tools toolbar. I unchecked, and, hey presto, Flash works. I tick, and get message saying need to install, re-tick, refresh, and Flash works.
Thank you. Now just not sure if I should just take Active X filtering off all the time or not. Presumably it is to stop nasties, anyone know what the risk is? In the mean time, I'll just un-tick it when I need to use Flash.

How full is your drive? You need at least 10/15% of free space.

That error message can be misleading. It means, that iPhoto on your Mac is not associated with your Apple ID.
Either you did not set up your Mac using the same Apple ID - did someone help with your setup and use a different ID? Perhaps a family member? Or did you let someone borrow your installer disks?
Or did you not yet "Accept" iPhoto and other iLife apps to your Apple ID? Check the "Purchased" tab of the App Store, if any applications are waiting to be accepted. If you see "Accept" buttons, press them.
You may be unable to "Accept" now, if you missed the update to iphoto 9.5.1 on Mavericks. You could try to buy iPhoto, however. If you are lucky, it may show for free.
Backup your iPhoto library, if you do not have a current backup.
Uninstall iPhoto by deleting it from the Applications folder, but do not empty the Trash, so you can put it back,if need be.
Launch the App Store, click the "Store" menu, and sign in with your current AppleID.
Open the main page "Featured" of the App Store and search for iPhoto.
If iPhoto is listed as "Free", click the "Free" button to buy it with your current AppleID.
