Flash - Issue when adding scenes/keyframes

Hi, very new to flash,
Basically I have an existing site which is built in Flash CS6, each page is built on a single layer with one frame and is embeded into an HTML document.
What I am trying to do is add a preloader to this sites pages, I have no issues in adding the preloader and code to make it work.
What I am having issues with is when I add either a new scene or keyframe to put the preloader on, the images I have on the main scene/keyframe become very distorted after publishing.
I have played with the publishing output settings i.e JPG vs PNG, and done a thorough search online but cant find anything.

Level change when adding audio keyframes

Hi all,
I've been in Avid Land for the last few months and just came back and noticed something that was getting on my nerves when I left (I don't recall seeing this before FCP 6). When I add keyframes to my audio levels with the pen tool, I get a keyframe, but at the same time, it lowers my level as if I had added a keyframe and then dragged it down. As far as I can tell it does this every time.
Does anyone know what this is about?

I was having this problem, so just before I composed this reply I did some tests. It could well be 'sloppy mouse work' but I don't think so. This time the audio level went up by 1 db but before it was dropping by 1 db when adding a keyframe. During the test, no matter how accurate I was the audio level changed when adding a keyframe. The track I was working on was enlarge somewhat and the problem didn't happen on standard sized tracks. I feel that this has to be some sort of bug.
I have always found FCP a little bit on the 'accurate' side. You have to be very precise when clicking on items otherwise you will miss. Some buttons are way too small and I think Apple could improve the FCP workflow by enlarging some buttons and allowing more space around clickable items.
A good example of this is the 3 way colour corrector. The left and right buttons for blacks/mids/whites are very hard to hit and I quite often hit the maximum by mistake.
I have worked on many non-linear systems and FCP is the only one where mouse accuracy is so important.
I am, to some extent used to this now and I suppose it is a minor inconvenience in comparison to the benefits of using FCP but, in the interests of improvement and ease of use it would be good if Apple could take this onboard.

Having issues when adding transitions to FCP7

Hey, I'm editing a short film and I've been having some issues whenever i add in a transition (cross/dissolve) to any of the clips and go to play them back it has a glitch, not very familiar with FCP a complete newbie at this..Tried exporting it out to qt and the glitches got even worse...it totally freezes up and throws off the audio track completely or it will stay frozen but the audio keeps playing. I'm fairly new to this program and so i may not have the correct terminology but could really use some help.. This is my final project for graduation and right now i'm pretty stuck any help would be greatly appreciated. I included a few screen shots to explain what actually happens as the video plays out. Oh before I export it when i'm working on it on FCP it doesnt look that bad, it just kinda jumps a bit when the scene with the transition plays.

REMSH unix command issues when adding rule for port 514

Has anyone experienced any issues with Unix systems when adding rules to WAAS for port 514? This is the port RCOPY uses and is not handled by WAAS by default. We created a rule for port 514 but when we implement any type of optimization (even TFO Only) we start having problems with REMSH. This is used in one of our production scripts that normally take 10 minutes to run. When we apply the rule for port 514 the time goes as high as 45 minutes.
We wrote a test script that uses just the REMSH command and with out the 514 rule works fine but with the 514 rule goes down the tubes.
Just to add a little more information, I do not see an entry under Monitor/ Connection Statistics with the servers in question when the test script is running so am not sure where to go from here. I know there is a way to do a TCP capture from the WAAS so figure that will be the next step to see what is causing the issues.
Thoughts?? Ideas?? Suggestions??

Well TAC came back with a answer. They found other people with the same issue.
"It was found that the applications always used the same source and destination TCP ports. WAAS has the first connection in a "WAIT-CLOSE" state so when the next packet comes in with the same ports it is dropped." , "A defect was opened for this issue, but has not been fixed yet."
He wanted us to do a packet capture but after finding these other tickets decided it would be a waste of time and only tell us we are having a similar issue as others.
Still waiting on a suggested work around or a patch, 4.15 is suppose to come out soon but haven't heard if it will fix the problem.
With the new information I don't think even putting 514 in pass-through will fix the issue.
I will let you know if I hear anything else.

Need help on volume issue when adding a song from itunes

I am creating a podcast. I am hoping to create a guided meditation CD with speaking and background music. I used the male voice to record the speaking vocals and adjusted some small areas slightly for volume if I was too close to the microphone, etc. It is a twelve minute recording. I then added a music selection (for background) from my itunes by clicking on media browser, audio, and dragging the song into the track area. It automatically put it in Jingles. When I listened to the new recording, speaking vocals and music together, the background music had distinct variations in its sound, going louder and softer on its own, sporadically, jumping in random places. It doesn't do that if I listen to the music selection directly from itunes. So the volume increasing and decreasing only happens when it is brought into garageband. When I hit play on the final piece, the vocals sound exactly as they should but the music jumps around in volume randomly.
I have tried putting the music selection in as a new basic track instead of Jingles.
I have also tried starting with a new podcast, putting the music in first and then adding the completed vocals (I tried it in both male voice and female voice).
I have tried putting the music selection into a project by itself with no vocals and it sounds just fine... the volume problem happens when I add the speaking vocals to the project.
I have also tried dragging the music selection from a file on my computer instead of from itunes. None of these things have helped.
Somehow the vocals and the music together in garageband make the music sound wonky. Please help. Any advice would be helpful.

Smart Plug Connection Issues when adding to your system.

I just got my new smart plugs in the mail, and there was an issue setting them up. The pairing was not happening. We tried for a good 20 mins following the instruction for pairing the devices. I got them to finally pair when instead of doing a 2-3 second button press i switched to a double tap quick press. The devices were dicovered right away. Looks like the instruction for the devices dont seem to match up with what the support is told to do to pair those smart plugs. I wanted to share so you guys could look into this as the rep that helped me today said these are always tricky for them to get connected. Recap Doing 2-3 second delayed button presses did not work. Doing 2 quick presses of the button made the smart plug start clicking. I could hear it turning on and off.

I don't want to create another user in the business system for this purpose, does anybody
know what other configurations should I do for retrieve the message details automatically without
any login information like retrieving the message list.

Audio issues when adding movies to Premiere Elements 11

When I try to add movies to PE11 the audio gets all screwed up. I am very new to video editing and I haven't had this issue with other movies, only those froma specific camera. The only thing I can see is that the audio from the camera that works is mono, and the audio from the camera that doesn't work is stereo. Any suggestions on how I can fix this issue?

In addition to Hunt's questions, I would ask:
1. What are the brand, model, and settings for your camera? What are the properties of the video that it generates?
2. Are you accepting the project preset automatically being given you after you drag your video to the Timeline (Expert view) or are you setting the project preset in the New Project dialog yourself. The project preset should match the properties of your source media. Sometimes the program's choice is not appropriate. Please check under Edit Menu/Project Settings to see what the program is setting and compare that with what you know are the properties of the source media.

3. Is the audio messing up the only problem that you are having? If so, where is it manifesting itself
a. when you playback the rendered Timeline in the Edit Mode Monitor
or
b. when you playback the exported Timeline on one of your players

How is it messing up...distorted sound or audio out of sync?
Getting more information on the above will help us to work together to resolve your issue.

Issue when adding Published Animations

Hello, have finished all of my animated buttons for my site. I have exported them and can get them to load.
I am having a strange issue however. After the first and second buttons are inserted the other three start to just stack on the second button. Do to the responsive layout, I would like to contain the edge buttons in my divs with the id of "buttons" which keeps them evenly spaced and centered.

just a thought ... if this is happening everytime .. how much chances we have that the ISO/DVD you are using is not having the script/powershell corrupted and that doesnt get installed/configured when you run the setup and then you do this manually... just
checking if this can be possibility.. can you make a new ISO/DVD from the fresh download from Microsoft and run the setup again.

Issue when adding a sw component to a technical system

Hello.
In this XI system, I created a new product and respective sw component. After that, I'm trying to add it to the existing technical systems.
As I always did, in techical systems page i choosed a single techincal system and pressed the button add new sw component. After that appeared in the right block the unchecked checkbox with the corresponding sw.
When I mark the checkbox it waits endlessly, and that way I cannot save it!
Any ideas?

Strange issue when adding a folder to my libs

Hi guys
I have my classes in a libs folder, and in Actionscript Settings / Source I point to that folder. It works fine.
I just attempted to add the AlivePDF source files (using source instead of swc as I want to alter something) in their org folder to the libs folder, and now one of my other classes throws this error:
5001: The name of package 'doit.ui.controls.doitClass' does not reflect the location of this file. Please change the package definition's name inside this file, or move the file.
doitClass was working fine before.
Any idea why adding an exclusive folder would affect other classes?

The class that's not working wasn't moved - it's another set of classes in a folder that I dropped into my libs that are causing the first class to not work.

Issues when adding new objects

A few questions regarding changes in Toplink from 2.5 to the current version.
Say I had object A which contains a collection of Bs and a collection of Cs.
Now when I want to save A and Bs and Cs to the database as an insert.
Is the following code correct ?
A a = new A();
A cloneA = (A)uow.registerObject(a);
Vector bCollectionClone = uow.registerAllObjects(new Vector(bCollection));
Vector cCollectionClone = uow.registerAllObjects(new Vector(cCollection));
uow.commit();
This seemed to work in 2.5. According to the API java docs this should work even today.
The reason I am asking is all of these -A, B and C are new objects. Should they be registered with registerNewObject();

Issues when adding the Interaction centre option to Nav Bar for WebUI.

I just wanted to clarify something if I may.
Am I right in thinking that the Interaction centre can be viewed for Service, Sales and Marketing. There are standard SAP business roles for all these, being the SERVICEPRO, SALESPRO and MARKETINGPRO.
I have a new business role to be set up which is a sort of hybrid of the SALESPRO and MARKETINGPRO roles. However, what I can't determine is what displays the Interaction centre from within the Nav Bar for any of these particulat SAP roles.
In the SAP GUI we could just run transaction CIC0 and depending on the PCFG settings it would either show the Sales IC or the Marketing IC. I need to just show the marketing IC for my new Z business role, but getting the details into CRMC_UI_PROFILE and CRMC_UI_NBLINKS is proving very difficult, for me.
Has anyone done anything like this before?.

Customer Relationship Management->UI Framework->Technical Role Definition->Define Navigation Bar Profile
1.You can create your own NavBar Profile (by making a copy of any of the existing Nav Bar Profiles) say Z_ICPRO.
2. Select your profile.
3. Then goto the node Define Profile->Assign Work Centres
New Entries
4. Here you can add IC_BPIDENT (This work centre corresponds to Account Identification), at any position you want.
5. Assign the above nav bar profile to any of the existing Business Role (or create your won Business Roles) via customizing
Customer Relationship Management->UI Framework->Business Roles-Define Business Role
5.Now when you login to web ui with the above Business Role, you should be able to see Account Identification on the WorkCentre tab!!

we removed the url mapping and ran the following command(at a different time in the day)

Error when adding keyframe

Hey all!
So I'm getting a memory error when I try adding a keyframe to a rather large flash file that says "Not enough memory available" but I know I have plenty.
I'm running a 3.0ghz Quad core with 8GB of ram and about 100 gigs of HD space free on every drive (save the one where flash is installed, it has 16gb).
I've increased my virtual memory to 4096 - 8192 on my C drive and to 2048-4096 on the drive flash is installed to so it shouldn't be a page file issue either.
I'm running on a tight deadline to get this website finished and I have no idea how to fix the problem. There are no other apps running in the background.

It seems like I have a problem with Flash in general as its crashing a lot lately. I was able to work around the issue by removing the MC, adding the keyframes first and then dropping the MC into the scene.
I have a new problem now, how can I export my Movie Clip as FLV? When I go to the export movie option, it supports many formats (avi, mov, gif etc.) but there is no option to export as FLV.
Any idea how to do this?
