Flash Lite 2.1 for Windows Mobile 5.0 - Installation

Can any one tell me, what is the
Installation prerequisites of Flash lite 2.1 for Windows Mobile
5.0. I have downloaded
FL2_1_winmobile_sp_091206.CAB file from Abobe site but its
not having any exe and its not having any “Readme
document” also so I am unable to install this on my PC.

· Write down the 40 digit alphanumeric string and go to
the URL provided.
· On the registration site enter your 40 digit
alphanumeric string to activate your player.
· Your Flash Lite 2.1 Player will be activated.

Can you tell when it will be available for download?
Today I installed Flash Lite 2.1 on my Asus M530W
WM6-Smartphone and flash&windows media enabled websites stoped
showing correctly - for example instead of having flash media
player with wmv content I see just white background (in the past
everything was ok).
Is there any Flash Activex plugin that will work with pocket
IE?

There is a FL2.1 player for WM 5 devices
available
here. Note this is for playing back SWF files outside of the
browser - it's not a browser plug-in for Pocket IE.
We have not tested this on any WM6 or 6.1 devices so it's not
possible for me to say if it will work or not.

You will probably find that Adobe.com is using Flash 8 or 9
content, hence
the crash. Since most up-to-date web sites will be similar,
you may find
Flash 7 is largely unusable for web surfing.
Just speculating.
I don't know for certain.

I just downloaded and installed the latest Flash Player 7 for
Windows Mobile on my Windows Mobile 2003 SE device. As a result
Pocket Internet Explorer crashes whenever it tries to open a page
with Flash content - including the adobe.com website. Opera Mobile
seems not to recognize the player and simply ignores all Flash
content.
Is there any way to fix this and to get Flash support on
Windows Mobile 2003 SE ?

Is there a version of flash player that works on windows mobile 6.5?

Hi,
Forgive me if this question shows my ignorance but is there a version that can be installed that works with wm6.5? When I visit web pages on my device that have embedded flash content I am advised that I need to update my version of flash player but the link takes me to an Adobe page that doesn't seem to have a version that will work for my device.

I've been reading lately about Apple's ongoing battle with Adobe over mobile apps and Flash. What I've gotten from all of it is that Apple wants to develop a mobile format replacement to Flash, and Adobe wants to block it. Apple's contention is that Flash is too bulky and consumptive for mobile apps and content. Apple has barred any mobile apps for iPhone and iPad from containing any Flash code, and Adobe says that has hurt their development of SDKs for people who want to make iPhone apps. It's turned into a regular peeing contest.
I would have to assume that Apple iPhone, DROID, and Windows Mobile all have the same issue with Flash content and software, since they all have to fall within the standards for mobile communications in order to be "universally accessible" by all the companies that make PDAs, tablets, and phones.
I've yet to see a Flash Player download for Windows Mobile, and given the current environment, with HTML 5 coming soon, it's not likely I will.

Flash Lite 2.1 for WM5 Activation Issue

I followed the instructions for installing and activating the
Flash Lite 2.1 for WM5 on my Motorola Q smartphone. But every time
I launch the Flash Player Lite application it says I haven't
activated it yet. I went to the site 3 times and entered my
information, but it hasn't changed the activation error. Any
suggestions?

I install flash lite 2.1 for wm5_ppc in my phone(dopod S1 ,
system:wm6 ,mode:ppc),I develop a swf application using video,code
as "myvideo.play ("test.3gp")",it does not work.I detected my phone
support mime as: "avi,3gp",not as s60 "video/avi,video/3gp".By the
way ,when I banding the "test.3gp" with video code as
"myvideo.play();",it can play.
Now,I wonna to load 3gp video when run swf,how can I do?

I am have a similar kind of problem. I am trying to run a video on Pocket PC (WM5) using video.play() method on FlashLite 2.1. It works fine in Device Central and my Nokia mobile (symbian OS with default FlashLite 2.1). Video is obviously embedded in FlashLite 2.1 and was originally in *.3gp format.
Can you please help me where I am going wrong or what am I missing ?

I think maybe VB was confused by you calling it "Windows Mobile," as Windows Mobile is MS's obsolete, abandoned Mobile OS for pre-iPhone era with a stylus and all that, I am assuming you probably meant "Windows Phone" / Windows 8 Metro UI / Windows RT, the new iPhone-like MS Mobile OS.

I know this is an old thread but i have to give it a try ( i am stuck with an almost identical problem but cant solve it since 5 days googling and reading.
I am developing an app for Unitech HT660e which has Win CE. THe app is complete but now i need some more control over the barcode scanner. In order to gain controll i need to use USI.dll which is explained in this documentation (chapter 2 has the link to
the SDK which contains the USI.dll ) :

But i also get : Cant find PInvoke DLL 'USI.dll'.
In chapter 4 is SysIOAPI.DLL mentioned which i cant fin.
Chapter 17 has USICF.dll which may be interesting bcos this one can be added as reference and "using USICF" . I am using compact framework 3.5 for this and the emulator is "usa windows mobile 5.0 pocket pc r2 emulator".
Reading your post i noticed i can use the "Pocket PC 2003 SE Emulator" but it gives me the same error.
Maybe i need to include a path in my code but i tried this as well...and get the same problem. Maybe i am missing something.

I'm looking for a trial version of DB2e V8.2.4 for Windows Mobile 5.0 on PDA (I installed an emulator on my PC) because we have to use Mobile Infrastructure 7.0 and I would like to try it on my emulator, but I don't find the installation files on IBM site and the installation guide. You can download trail version of DB2e from the following link.

If you want use DB2e licensed version you need to get license key information from SAP.Contact your SAP Service Agent for more details. Then they will enable you the above said link from where you can download the DB2e.
