Flash Lite 2.1 install on Nokia E50

Just did a Flash Lite 2.1 install on Nokia E50 after I
downloaded flashlite2_1_symbian_s60V3 and it installed apparently
fine with Nokia installer. However any .swf with test content
published to Device Central gets a corrupted file message after I
try run the .swf on the E50. The docs say the E50 should be
supported by this Flashlite version above.
Any ideas?
thanks
Colm

Alessandro,
Yes, I see now another Flash Lite 2.1 player installed not
under media but under menu. Starting it allows me to browse my
Flash Lite 2.1 files and they display fine.
Next up, I must try to get Flash Lite 3, but developer
applications for Flash Lite 3
have closed afaik. Does anybody know where/when/if/how a
Symbian edition Flash Lite 3 player can be got to test on a Flash
Lite 2.1 player phone?
thanks again!

Hi, I have tried to download from link provided in Your reply, but as I start to install message pups up about files being corrupt.
Tried again downloading file directly to phone, same error.
    Could You help, please ?
Other thing, is this flash program or just a tool to make one, I am not sure... ?

  • Flash lite 2.x support for nokia n80?

I downloaded and installed the Flash Lite 2.1 standalone
player for the Nokia N80 from this page:
    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=flashlite2%5F1%5Fsymbian%5Fdownload
I am able to run Flash Lite 1.1 SWFs fine but get
"installation not supported" for 2.x SIS files and "unable to open.
file corrupted" messages for 2.x SWFs. These files run fine on my
    Nokia 6682 handset.
Is 2.0 or 2.1 supported for the N80? I noticed that it
doesn't appear to be through the Adobe Device Central CS3 but the
Flash Lite Player download page implies that it is.
    Thanks.

Just tried installing Flash Lite 2.1 Standalone Player S60
V2.0 FP2 and S60 V2.0 FP3 and was not allowed to install either on
the handset so I think the one I downloaded and installed is
correct. Flash Lite Player 2 is not installed on this phone.
Any other possible reason why the Flash Lite apps won't run?
Does the phone need a firmware or other update? Also, I am by
sending the SWFs via bluetooth as SMS messages--that shouldn't
matter, should it? Or do I need to go the long route by
    transferring it via usb?

You need to package the swf into a nokia sis installtion or
    wgz widget.
    you can use
    http://www.kunerilite.net/
    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/Create_Flash_Applications_with_Carbide.c%2B%2B

  • Flash Lite 2.1 for Nokia N95

Does somebody have the answer to when and how it's possible
to install Flash Lite 2.1 on a Nokia N95?
In the current version I get the errormessage: "Unable to
    install. Component is built in".

Well, Alex, if Adobe strategy is that everytime there is an
upgraded version of the FL player users have to change phones, FL
will be irrelevant (as it is now from a market point of view)
pretty soon. FlashLite is not an OS extension or a fudamental part
of the phone, it was very lame to have it included as part of
firmware, when it should have shipped in the memory card sot it
could have been upgraded whenever needed. The fact that basically
none of SonyEricsson UIQ3 models and the Apple iPhone includes any
version of Flash shouldd give Adobe one hint or two about their
wrong strategy (and before anybody jump on the Japan thing, 90% of
FL there is still 1.1). Responding to the original thread, if you
plan to have fun and release things for free then FL is the perfect
choice, if you plaln to make any significant amount of money or God
forbid, release your product thru any Telco operator, you can only
go J2ME or native, whenever we have tried to go the FL way,
operators just said there were not interested.
    JKust my two cents.

  • Adobe flash lite on nokia asha 302

how can i download and install adobe flash lite on my nokia asha 302 ? please help me , i want to download and stream videos but some of them needs a flash lite .

Mhm. With a Nokia Series 40 phone like yours, Adobe Flash Lite is either integrated within the firmware or not available! You cannot add Flash yourself, as on other platforms. Which file type (file-name extension) or which Internet service do you want to use? Perhaps, we find a workaround together.

  • N97 Mini Flash Lite Problem

Hey Guys, what happened with me maybe a minor issue but i wanna know how to solve it.
Here's what happened with my N97 mini: I had the flash lite 3.0 installed, so I downloaded The flash lite 3.1(4) from a link i found on Google. Now, when I go to youtube.com  on the default symbian browser,  I get the first "frame" of the video with sound but without the video; only first "frame" of the video appears. When I tap on the video for Fullscreen the web browser closes by itself and it shows to the homescreen, and something really weird happens: when i hide the widgets and show them again, it does it like i have the theme effects off.. but when i go to theme settings, its actually theme effects on. And it doesnt do the effects again untill i turn my phone off and then turn it on.
On the other hand, I guess this flash lite issue is causing a problem on video playback in realplayer. When I record a video with the camera and play it back, it does it without any problem and the file format is MP4. Though, when i send an MP4 video from my pc to the phone, the playback shows no picture.. just the sound.
Im sorry If I said too much, but i said everything that happened because i wanna know if its really the flash lite's problem.. or its something else?
And either way, whats the solution!? Please Guys I need ur help

A software update shouldn't cause a problem as the phone has data protection, just to be safe back up your contacts, but the phone should be fine anyway, simply re-install the software with Nokia Software Updater, and hoprfuly it will resolve your problem, if not , contact a Nokia Care Point, whatever the case , the phone definitely won't be any worse for a software install.
    Good Luck
If I have helped at all, a click on the White Star is always appreciated :

  • Adobe store has been broken for more than two weeks (trying to download Flash Lite 2.0)

Maybe this is best classified as a 'departmental cross
post',... I have been trying to download a purchase of Flash Lite
2.0 for a Nokia N70 phone for two weeks now, but the online store
    is broken.
Unfortunately I've spent over two hours on hold, accross
maybe four phone calls (repeating the problem, explaining that
although the order status says 'shipped', that it is a downloadable
product only), and still don't have the player.
Adobe: if you're listening, please: I need either an
alternate download link or a CD mailed to me for Flash Lite 2.0 for
a Nokia N70. The folks doing phone support ultimately always
suggest 'waiting for the store to be fixed', but I've waited two
weeks- I just want the darned player I paid for so I can complete
    my mobile device project!
    Thanks in advance,
    Greg

    Thanks for the reply.
    The problem occurs during installation.
At the first stage, short download installs the GetPlus
DLM (Download Manager). I can see it installed in
Settings --> Control Panel --> Add or Remove Programs.
Then it leaves a shortcut with the Adobe icon in my Desktop
    reading "Resume Adobe Downloads".
    When I press it (shortcut to "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" AND ALSO TO "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NOS\nosget_start_manager_15235.html")
the real download of the files should begin.
It just opens the downloading applet and before downloading anything
I am getting this "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem with the said add-on, and must close... Send notification/Do not send (you know)"

  • Basic interaction 'standalone player' Flash Lite

I am trying to create a simple interactive menu with Flash
    Lite.
(for example a click on a soft key will bring a blue full
    screen frame....)
I am a beginner when it comes to cell phone content, but I
understand that it is doable with flash lite. Thing is my Nokia
device (6131) is not in the device list of the flash menu, and I am
unable to upload to the device flash applications. (I can upload
swf if it's a wallpaper but then i loose the interactivity)
My question is; if I will have a device that is in the
'device list' of Flash Lite, will I then be able to upload the swf
as a standalone application? am I doing the right thing?
another question is, other then the Adobe sites, where can I
find more example files in the subject of basic interactive menus
    for Nokia?

    quote:
Thing is my Nokia device (6131) is not in the device list of
the flash menu, and I am unable to upload to the device flash
applications. (I can upload swf if it's a wallpaper but then i
    loose the interactivity)
The latest device profile update from Adobe included the
6131, but a particular phone doesn't need to have a profile in the
emulator for you to be able to develop for it.
Once you've connected your 6131 with your PC (either via the
USB cable or bluetooth), you can browse the phone's file system via
My Computer if you have the Nokia PC Suite installed, and can copy
a swf to whatever folder is available. You can then find that
folder via the 'Gallery' menu option on the phone and run the swf,
which will run in standalone mode.

  • Opening flash lite?

    Hi all,
I am developing a app where I am load the swf in the html page using swfobject
I am able to pass and load the flash vars.
but to perform any action I need to open the application. Is there any way to open the application automatically
    any work around?
    Thanks in advance

Yes, Use Python Runtime , you can package both: Your application and the Python in one .sis installer.
You write the launch code in python to target your application on mobile start and it will launch your flash lite application automatically.

  • HP iPAQ with flash lite compatibility

I'm thinking of purchasing an HP iPAQ for the purpose of
maybe adapting a SWF app to work with this phone/pda device. This
device comes with Windows Mobile 5 For Pocket PC Phone Edition, I
was wondering if anyone knows if this OS is compatible with Flash
Lite. I know that Windows Mobile 5 is, but I wanted ot make sure
the phone edition was as well, the Flash Lite section of this web
site does not mention this OS version.... and when it comes to OS's
    I trust nothing!!
If anyone can provide any inpute, I would apreciate it!!!
    Carlos

Flash lite 3,0 and 3,1 are based on Flash 8, for most of sites you have to have version 9 or earlier...
With Flash lite 3 you can browse only sites like youtube, which has special player version for these phones. (and work only on s60v3, on s60v5 you have to use app)
Flash lite 4 s based on Flash 10. Unfortunately, Flash lite 4 supports only new Nokia Symbian^3 and some Android devices. Browsing web with Flash lite 4 is much better and you can open about 90% flash content... But, it will probably never be avaliable for older (s60v3 and v5) smartphones.

  • Flash Lite 1.1 swf's Do Not Embed Fonts

For some reason, dynamic text fields do not work on CS3 when
publishing Flash Lite 1.1 content and using an embedded font
(rather than device fonts). I am certain that I am doing things
correctly (bitmap text, embedding fonts, etc.), because I verified
that the files work perfectly with the Flash 8 compiler.
To be more direct, a Flash Lite 1.1 swf in Flash 8 will have
perfect dynamic text with a custom font. When I open and publish
the same .fla in DC and CS3, the text fields appear empty--as if
the font is not being embedded. When publishing from CS3, the fonts
also do not work on devices. When publishing (the same fla) using
Flash 8, the fonts work in the emulator and on devices.
Any help with this would be MUCH appreciated. Right now I am
bound to Flash 8 for Flash Lite 1.1 development.

  • Flash Lite Update??

Anyone know if there's a flash lite update for the N95 yet/soon? I know that youtube etc wont work on the web browser but surely this is down to the flash player not being at the same standard as what is widely available on the net.
If the flash lite player were to be updated perhaps youtube would work?

no the version on the handset doesn't open up a lot of flash content on the web already - like youtube, certain banners/music players on myspace, etc...
...I wanted to know if there are any plans to upgrade flash lite to allow these functions to work.
there is no information on the adobe website about this, and the most recent version on flash lite is already installed on the handset - plus it doesn't list n95 as a compatible handset on the adobe website.

  • Flash Lite 2.1 and Nokia N95

I was waiting for a new version of Flash Lite for my Nokia
N95 because it can't play videos from ordinary web sites. I was
shocked trying to install new Flash Lite 2.1. I got an error:
"Unable to install. Component is built in." Does it mean I can't
never update Flash player in my phone?

    Hi degin,
Ah, I understand now. You wish to view web content in your
    N95 mobile browser?
Flash Lite 2.x and mobiles in gerneral support a different
format of video, .3gp or .3gp2. You will not be able to view Flash
.flv or WMP videos on your N95.
I have heard that You tube is going to support .3gp video at
some point, and also Flash Lite may support .flv at some point too,
so all is not lost, we just have to wait.
