Flash Lite 2.x - Slow audio playback on Nokia

Hi everyone!
What is the issue with Flash Lite 2.x playing embedded sounds
at half
speed?
I'm sure this is something that must have come up before, but
having a
hard time finding a reference in the online groups. My 8-bit
tracks
are fine, but anything of decent sound quality just goes very
very slow.
I have tried ADPCM, Raw and MP3 compression and always
playing at 50%
of the normal speed. When attaching as a device sound all is
cool, but
the device I am developing for crashes for some reason while
others
play it fine.
My source file is a 16-bit WAV. I guess I can always speed up
the
track in my WAV editor, but I'm sure I am just doing
something stupid
right?
Stefan

As long as you can use Flash Lite 2, then you can stream
video or sound in a format that the phone can handle. 3gp is more
or less a standard for mobile video. Streaming seems to work better
on S60 3rd Edition than S60 2nd Edition.
Your code is correct for playing a streaming video. All you
need is a streaming server, like Darwin Streaming Server for
example.

  • Has anyone experienced this? Slow audio playback.

I'm wondering if anyone has experienced the issue I'm
    having...
I'm using the same Flash/XML MP3 player that I've used on
many occasions, but for some reason now, some of the mp3s that I'm
pulling in are playing at a slower pitch.
Because It only happens to some MP3s it makes me think that
it's not the SWF but something to do with the MP3. The one thing
they all have in common is that they were all songs that were
created in Garageband, then exported to iTunes as an AIF and then
converted to MP3. I have yet to experience a problem with songs
that I've downloaded or ripped from CDs.
Here's the link to the player and two songs. Both songs were
done in Garageband and converted to MP3 the exact same way, yet
while the first songs plays fine, the second plays back much slower
    that it's source.

Below are the direct links to the MP3s so you can see that
the source MP3 plays fine on its own.

I'm considering posting this on Apple's forum as well. What
    do you guys think?
    Thanks.

    > Thanks for taking a look. Just want to be sure... The
first song in the player SHOULD play fine, and the second, for me,
does not. But for you BOTH songs play fine?
    Sorry for misleading information.
The first song indeed plays fine and the second Does Not. I
    was checking the first one
    all the way.
Anyhow, I still keep up with my Sample Rate suggestion.
Flash has preference when comes to sound:
best to use 16-bit 22 kHz mono sounds (stereo uses twice as
    much data as mono),
Flash can import either 8- or 16-bit sounds at sample rates
    of 11, 22, or 44 kHz.
Other samples rates result in playback problems.
The first Mp3 is 44Khz just as flash likes it, the second one
    is 48Khz
I believe changing it to 44 will solve your problem. Try it
    please and let me know.

  • Flash 10 and PPC - slow video playback

Have an old PowerBook 12" running 10.5. Since upgrading to
Flash v10 the video playback is slow and sluggish to the point
Flash content is unusable. Tried to download a PPC specific version
but Adobe downloads gave me the Universal Binary once again. I
suspect v10 is buggy and is not supporting "Enable Hardware
Acceleration" on PPC so video is being scaled and processed by
    software.
Anyone else having this problem? Anyone able to direct me to
    good old v9?

Restarting might help temporarily, but for a more permanent solution you'd need a faster computer processor, a better video card, lots more RAM, and a faster hard drive. The sad truth of the matter is that technology advances so quickly that older computer hardware can't keep up with it. It would actually cost less to buy a new computer than it would to try to upgrade an older model. The iMac CRT's are still useful for many tasks, but they can't be expected to handle present-day multimedia.

  • Slow audio playback with 5.1 speaker settings (G20)

    Hi,
I have connected by G20 to my amp using the spdif audio output. When I select 5.1 external speakers in the speaker configuration screen (instead of laptop built-in speakers), the audio playbak is slower of about 50%. I tried several audio players like WMP, winamp, etc and I get the same result.
    Thank you for your help

  • Slow audio playback

The narration I record in Power Point plays back in "slow motion" and does the same when I run the slide show. I am working on a Mac (OS 10.6.2, 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor) with Bootcamp, Windows XP and Power Point 2007. I don't have problems running any other Window programs in Bootcamp. Any suggestions? If all else fails, does anyone know of a program similar to Presenter that works on a Mac?

Mine's doing the same bloody thing in powerpoint.
No idea how to stop it but am ready to throw my Mac out the window.

    Hello Everyone,
i'm new in the delopment of Flashlite application. I have to
develop an application working on my Nokia N95. But, i can't test
all those applications bevor playing them of my device. Flash Lite
3.0 is installed on my Nokia N95. Please can you tell me how can i
test those applications in Device Central? I still having a
question, i want any help about developing with Flash Lite 3.0
using ActionScript 2.0 or more, can you tell me, if there is any
books, online tutorials help to begin developping with it? Maybe
this question is not suitable to this forum, but i need your

  • Flash lite 2.x support for nokia n80?

I downloaded and installed the Flash Lite 2.1 standalone
player for the Nokia N80 from this page:
    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=flashlite2%5F1%5Fsymbian%5Fdownload
I am able to run Flash Lite 1.1 SWFs fine but get
"installation not supported" for 2.x SIS files and "unable to open.
file corrupted" messages for 2.x SWFs. These files run fine on my
    Nokia 6682 handset.
Is 2.0 or 2.1 supported for the N80? I noticed that it
doesn't appear to be through the Adobe Device Central CS3 but the
Flash Lite Player download page implies that it is.
    Thanks.

Just tried installing Flash Lite 2.1 Standalone Player S60
V2.0 FP2 and S60 V2.0 FP3 and was not allowed to install either on
the handset so I think the one I downloaded and installed is
correct. Flash Lite Player 2 is not installed on this phone.
Any other possible reason why the Flash Lite apps won't run?
Does the phone need a firmware or other update? Also, I am by
sending the SWFs via bluetooth as SMS messages--that shouldn't
matter, should it? Or do I need to go the long route by
    transferring it via usb?

  • Newbe Flash Lite 2.0 developer

    Hey
I just bought a new phone, a nokia 6110 and saw that it had
Flash Lite 2.0 pre-installed. I have done some Flash development
before in Flex for as3.0. I have been reading up on Flash Lite 2.0
and it seams like it's equal to Flash 7? Also when the new Flash
Lite 3.0 is released is it gonna work on my phone?
Can I develop for Flash lite by just using as2.0 in the Flex
IDE or do I have to get and use Adobe Flash CS3? Is there a free
compiler than can compile for Flash Lite 2.0, similar to the free
    Flex SDK?
    Thanks
    Zarathrusta

Flash Lite 2.0 is close to Flash 7 but not quite all features
(no FLV for example). Flash Lite also has a number of features
unique to mobile that are not part of the desktop PC player such as
device integration (fscommand2) and device video/sound.
A public beta developer version of Flash Lite 3.0 is
currently available for Nokia series 60 v3 phones only. I dont
recall the OS for 6110, you can check forum.nokia.com to find out
if this is a series 60 phone or not.
You can use any software tool that compiles to Flash 7
compatible SWF and run the SWF in the Flash Lite player. However,
there are special features of Flash Lite you can only develop for
using the Flash IDE. To my knowledge these are not yet part of
    FlexIDE and other free compilers.
So if you want to experiment you should be able to use
FlexIDE and compile to Flash 7 or lower for compatibility with
Flash Lite 2.0 player. But for a commercial level releases you
should consider using the Flash Lite IDE and Device Central for
    emulation and publishing.

  • 8600 flash lite

Hi! I recently bought nokia 8600, and i tried to install flash lite wallpapers. I found thath 8600 has flash lite 1.1., and most of new nokia' s have flash lite 2.0 or higher. Is there any way to upgrade my flash lite to 2.0 or higher?
    tnx

That feature can only be updated if nokia choose to update it in a firmware update.
You can check to see if you have the latest firmware here: www.nokia.com/softwareupdate

  • No Audio Playback due to Error Message "Disk is too slow. (Prepare) (-10001)"

Out of the blue, no audio playback.  Was working just fine earlier today.
I repeatedly get the error message:
    Disk is too slow. (Prepare)
    (-10001)
NOTE: I have more than enough disc space.  That is NOT the issue.
I also just got a second error message:
Part of the Project was not played
This project has too many real instrument tracks to be played in real-time. To optimize performance, see the 'Optimizing GarageBand performance' page in GarageBand Help.
NOTE: Odd as I have only 2 tracks in the GarageBand file.
    Any others experience this?  Suggestions?

Have a look into the Preferences folder (YourUserFolder/Libraries/Preferences/) and trash all Logic preferences.
You'll have to setup the program again.

  • How to load a audio stream in flash lite 3.0

    var music:Sound = new Sound();
    music.loadSound("http://38.101.195.5:8000;Stream.mp3",true);
I am not able to load the stream.
Please help me to play the stream

    Hello kkc_mca.
As I know, unlike desktop PC player, there is no progressive load capability with Flash Lite.
May be there is one option for FL3 is to stream a mp3 from Flash media server or compatible server. You might also be able to use the FL2 video object to stream audio only 3gp or aac audio from RTSP server.
I can not say this is proper way but hope you will be succeed.

  • Flash lite audio streaming and offline playing

    Hi,
I'm interested in developing a mobile application that will
let the user listen to music (progressive download) and on the
other hand let him listen to songs he downloaded while he is
    offline.
One of the project constraints is to make sure the files are
encrypted and couldn't play on any other player but mine.
What are my options using flash lite / flash streaming
    server?
    Thanks a lot

    Laurel,
Thanks for the reply. The following URL states for for Flash Lite 2 and 3 states that the "isStreaming" parameter is ignored, when trying to load external URLs for the Sound object:
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/flashlite/3.0/docs/help.html?content=00004718.html#136115
How am I supposed to achieve streaming audio if this parameter is ignored?
    Thanks,
    Bruce

  • Recording with audio playback slowed down 65% what speed do I need to speed the video back up to to get it into real time?

Ive recorded a test video with audio/music playback slowed down 65% what speed do I need to speed the video back up to to get it into "real" time?
If I'd slowed the audio playback down 50% I would make the video 100% faster.
If I'd slowed the audio playback down 100% I would make the video 200% faster.
So its obviously somewhere inbetween speeding up by 100-200%
Sorry but its melting my brain today and I cant remember the calculation.
    thanks

    hey all
Thanks for the advise on this. I will explain a little more what am have/am intending to do.
I have used Audacity to slow the song down (Effect>Change Tempo)
Audacity will allow me slow the original song down by up to 99% (Or anything in-between up to 3 decimal places)
Unfortunately I am working to a time restraint of 12 minutes per clip (as my DSLR will only allow up to a 12 minute clip).
The song at normal speed is 4 minutes long.
Originally I slowed the audio down by 50% (Making the audio 8 minutes long), lip synced to it using a rasta blaster and recorded the video using my DSLR at 720p 50fps.
I then imported the video and audio I had been lip syncing to into FCPX.
I sped up the video by x2 (equivalent to speeding it up 200%)
    Retime>Fast 2X
Layered the PROPER normal speed audio back over the top and all was fine.
    Test video complete.
(You can ignore the 65% slowed down audio I mentioned earlier if you like, that was just an example of a slower than 50% audio test)
Firstly what I really want to do is to be able to slow the AUDIO down as much as possible (But still within the restraints of only being able to adjust FCPX retiming within a whole 1 percentage in the final video edit), but have the AUDIO of the song as near to/under 12 minutes as possible.
I will then re-record the video again to this new slowed down audio.
Secondly I will speed up the video from 12 minutes to 4 minutes.
Thirdly I will layer the correct 100% Normal AUDIO on top.
The FINISHED video should then look like everyone is wizzing around at high speed but the guitar playing/lyrics look like they are being played/sung at the normal speed.
Whatever happens (due to the constraints of FCPX) I need the calculations to work so that FCPX is retimed exactly to a whole 1% for the final video to sync up correctly.
So what I need to know in a nut shell is:-
What calculation do I use to work out the percentage to slow a 4 minute song down to a 12 minute song?
What calculation do I use to work out the percentage of how much I need to then speed the 12 minute video up to turn it back into a 4 minute video?
    My mind is melting

  • Flash Lite - Automatic playback of SWF-files within MMS

    Dear flash communty,
I've the problem that SWF-files doesn't play automatically when  I open the MMS I received. I tried to solve the problem with SMIL files, but it  seams that the Flash Lite player doesn't support these scripts. Does anyone of  you know anything else to solve the problem? Is there another way to implement  this feature?
    Greetings,
    Noctem

We have been working with one of our customers on delivering
an on line sales tool using the Adobe Connect environment. They for
the usual legal reasons wished to use a sales aid they had already
created. This was a flash based CD-rom with various flash movies
    initiated by rollovers and buttons.
    But there was two problems:
    1. The index would not work i.e. the menu page appeared but
the subsequent movies and animations could not be found
    2. The click throughs and rollovers would not synchronizes,
i.e. if the presenter moved forward through the presentation the
    participants did not.
Both of these obviously make it useless.
After over three weeks of R&D we (David Kwaw , Steve
Grovenor and J ) have developed a bespoke piece of programing,
    based on Sync SWF
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobatconnect/articles/basic_syncswf_pt1.html
That solves this issue, we have since refined the coding so
that ONLY the presenter has control of the flash presentation,
making it more like Adobe Presenter just ALOT more flexible and
    better looking.
If you would like to know more... just drop us a line.
