Flash lite player 3.1

Hi all,
I am very impressed by the new flash lite player. I can't
wait to start some tests, etc.
But, I have Flash CS4 and... where can I get the player for
my Nokia ? All the download links I found are for:
Flash Lite 3.0 Update for Flash CS3 Pro and Device Central
CS3, etc.
But where is the player itself ?
I want to install it on my Nokia 7610... where ?
Thanks for your answers

@
Fenryll
Here's the player itself:

The last link at the bottom is the one for the Flash Lite 3.1
Distributable Player for Nokia S60.

There's no such thing.
Some S40 Nokia devices have a Flash Player built-in; however
the only way to update it is doing a Firmware Update.
In some devices you can do it yourself (as long as you have
the data cable); for older devices you'll need to take it to a
Nokia Care (Service Center) and they'll do it for you. Keep in mind
that Firmware Update does not necessarily updates the Flash Player
in your device. Also, if your device does not have the Flash
Player, then most likely a firmware update will not add such
feature.

  • OTA of Flash Lite Player doesn't work for HTC Touch Pro 2

When I tried to run a Flash Lite app in HTC Touch Pro 2, it asked for Flash Lite player to run it. I clicked Yes. It returned a message: Adobe Flash Lite is not available for this device. OTA installation didn't work in this case. I then manually installed the standalone player and it installed successfully. My operator is Telstra in Australia.

    Hi,
Your device will not be detected because it is unsupported by the detection server.  Of course the manual installation is possible but right now we are certifying devices that can be supported.
You can see the supported devices here, needless to say however we are working on a plan to expand this set:

  • Fscommand2 "shuts down" flash lite player 2.1 in S60 3rd Edition

    Hello.
I am having the following problem in nokia phones S60 3rd
    edition:
when I have a j2me midlet running in the background and open
a swf that executes: fscommand2("GetSignalLevel") it automatically
closes the flash lite player. This has happened in phones that come
with the 1.1 player but that I have installed 2.1 and confirmed
that the swf was running in the 2.1 player. I also tried other
fscommand2 and they worked well (GetMaxSignalLevel, GetBatteryLevel
    and GetMaxBatteryLevel).
Is this a known problem? Does it have a solution?
    Thanks in advance

    Ciao Pieter,
in few days Adobe will release for free the FL 2.1 player to
developers for several platforms, Brew, Windows Mobile 5 and
Symbian, which includes 3rd edition. As far as the type of player,
    is probably the standalone.

  • Flash lite player for Nokia-5610 xpressmusic

Anybody let me know how to install flash lite player on nokia 5610 phone.....
i know that the phone supports flash lite player but i m not able to find out how to download it on to my mobile and the website from where i can download the application.....

There's no user-installable Flash Lite player for S40 based phones.
It is either already built-in (part of the firmware), or it isn't. If it isn't, you can't add/install it.
This page claims it already has Flash Lite v2.1:

  • Querying a Flash Lite content type running in the player

In the current Flash Lite specs, it's not possible to query
    the content
type that is running from within the Flash Lite player
    (wallpaper,
    screensaver, standalone, etc).
    My questions:
1.) Is this something that can be (easily) implemented in the
    next rev
of Flash Lite? I can think of a few use cases where this
    might be
    (potentially) useful.
Basically, this would allow for a detect mechanism, and thus
    provide a
way to disable or enable functionality within content based
    on how it is
being run (based on the content-type detected).
For example, if FL content is run as a screensaver, no custom
    softkey
navigation would appear. However, if run as standalone
    content, a custom
UI might appear ... say giving the user the option to quit,
    get more
    info, etc.
I am posting here to see if others would be interested in
    such
    functionality.
2.) From my tests, I don't think the FL content type is
    inserted into
the Flash Lite SWF header, but can it be? Injecting meta data
    into SWF's
is tricky business ... does it make sense to add this
    functionality in
the next rev of Flash Lite? ... again, this info might be
    useful in some
content use cases, which tie back to #1.
    Thoughts?

I could see some strong potential FL improvements by opening
this door. This could be very useful in the sense that developers
could then #include a single .as file that would act as a master
    library regardless of content type.
Another feature that ties into this that I would love would
be FL version detection. Granted, this file could sort of be
created with FS2 command detection. But still, creating one library
file that covers all user input methods would be very nice.
To take this a step further, could this also detect what
edition a phone is? Again, this could be done with via a
WURFL, but that is a huge
pain (not to mention memory intensive). It would be sweet if my
code could (simply) detect a 3rd edition series 60 Nokia and
automatically build in controls for screen rotation and soft key
    repositioning.
To sum up, I agree with you Scott. Btw—nice to see you
    in the forums.

  • Flash Lite SWF in MMS not opening correctly

I have a question that i hope you might be able to help on if
you have a few spare minutes.
I have developed a swf which i am sending via MMS to a Nokia
N91 and Nokia 6234 which have flash lite installed on them.
When the phone recieves the MMS it says:
    6234:
    Unable to show object
    N91:
Unable to display message. select objects in options menu for
    more details.
however when i go into 'objects' from the main menu i am able
to open the file contained within the mms perfectly, It is in
'objects' with a question mark symbol next to it. When i save it
out of objects and into a folder on the phone it becomes a flash
    lite icon.
If you have any ideas about what could be wrong, ive got the
feeling i need to put something in the MMS that tells the phone
what file it is recieving like /object-type/etc or that mime type
stuff? i cant find anything about it anywhere :(
if you have any ideas or can point me in the right direction
    i would be extremely grateful

    Hi there,
The reason you're not able to view SWF files as MMS
attachments is because Nokia did not implement that Flash content
type (MMS) in their implementation of the N91 (and the 6234 from
    what you describe).
Once you copy the object (SWF file) out of the messaging
client into your phone memory or memory card, the phone OS
recognizes the extension .SWF and associates the Flash icon with it
    - the Flash Lite Player 1.1 that's pre-installed on these devices
can open and play these files via the standalone player, which is a
Flash content type that Nokia supports.
    Hope this helps,

  • Flash lite support for i5700 or S5620

    Hi All,

    Hi there,
What a suprise to hear that Flash Lite player 2 does not
recognize all audio formats supported by phone! It's for S60 too?As
I got sound problem on S40 with Player 2. Are there got any
    solutions for this problem?
We download a flash sample from
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/devices/articles/mp3_sample_fl2.html,
and installed all the files into S40 phone with Flash Lite player
    2. The sample cannot work. Is the sample works on other phone?
This is quite confused me. As the articles mentioned "Loading
external MP3 files into the Flash Lite player" but it doesn't work
when I installed into the phone. Don't means to criticize any
parties, but just to find out the anwser.
We are getting out of time to finish a flash lite 2 project.
Any further informations and solutions for sound in Flash Lite
Player 2 would really be appreciated. Thank you

  • Best practise for data exchnge Flash Lite 2.0?

    Hi all,
At present I am using LoadVars to communicate between Flah
Lite and my server is there a better way? I am building an
applciation that needs constant information and updates, such as
being able to send message to different users. At the moment I am
checking all the nesaccary database info using LoadVars. This is
called every 1-5secs for the different functions.
This however is far from elegant and also the data charges
can add up if the app is running for a long time.
Can I use an socket driven solution? Is this possible with
    Flash Lite 2.0.
I am using PHP to retrieve info from a MySql database.
    Thanks.

    Ciao
is not to Adobe to rebuild the Flash Lite player. Adobe
license the player to mobile phones manifactures and they decide
when/how to implement the FL player on their phones.

  • Flash Lite 3 on Linux Embedded Device

    Hi All,
I can't seem to get a definitive answer on Linux support. I
am building a small hand held device for home controls automation,
it will have a 3.5" touch screen display and be using embedded
Linux as the OS. I want to use Flash Lite 3 as the UI for the
    device, is this supported?
    Thanks,
    Mark

Absolutely, in fact several versions already exist on Linux
devices. Linux is a reference port for our latest Flash Lite
player, which makes it easier for OEMs to bring Flash to their
    platform.

  • Flash Lite - Automatic playback of SWF-files within MMS

    Dear flash communty,
I've the problem that SWF-files doesn't play automatically when  I open the MMS I received. I tried to solve the problem with SMIL files, but it  seams that the Flash Lite player doesn't support these scripts. Does anyone of  you know anything else to solve the problem? Is there another way to implement  this feature?
    Greetings,
    Noctem

We have been working with one of our customers on delivering
an on line sales tool using the Adobe Connect environment. They for
the usual legal reasons wished to use a sales aid they had already
created. This was a flash based CD-rom with various flash movies
    initiated by rollovers and buttons.
    But there was two problems:
    1. The index would not work i.e. the menu page appeared but
the subsequent movies and animations could not be found
    2. The click throughs and rollovers would not synchronizes,
i.e. if the presenter moved forward through the presentation the
    participants did not.
Both of these obviously make it useless.
After over three weeks of R&D we (David Kwaw , Steve
Grovenor and J ) have developed a bespoke piece of programing,
    based on Sync SWF
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobatconnect/articles/basic_syncswf_pt1.html
That solves this issue, we have since refined the coding so
that ONLY the presenter has control of the flash presentation,
making it more like Adobe Presenter just ALOT more flexible and
    better looking.

  • I need to download Flash Lite to develop mobile apps...

I can't find the link for downloading Flash Lite, may anyone help me please ? I will appreciate it, thanks in advance,

You can get the Flash Lite Player
    http://www.adobe.com/support/flash/downloads.html
Search for "Get the Flash Lite Player" here.
Although, to develop application you might not need the player installer, instead you would need the profile in the Flash IDE which is also available in the same page for Flash 8. For higher versions of Flash you can download the profile to Flash IDE using the update manager.

  • Flash lite 2.x support for nokia n80?

I downloaded and installed the Flash Lite 2.1 standalone
player for the Nokia N80 from this page:
    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=flashlite2%5F1%5Fsymbian%5Fdownload
I am able to run Flash Lite 1.1 SWFs fine but get
"installation not supported" for 2.x SIS files and "unable to open.
file corrupted" messages for 2.x SWFs. These files run fine on my
    Nokia 6682 handset.
Is 2.0 or 2.1 supported for the N80? I noticed that it
doesn't appear to be through the Adobe Device Central CS3 but the
Flash Lite Player download page implies that it is.
    Thanks.

Just tried installing Flash Lite 2.1 Standalone Player S60
V2.0 FP2 and S60 V2.0 FP3 and was not allowed to install either on
the handset so I think the one I downloaded and installed is
correct. Flash Lite Player 2 is not installed on this phone.
Any other possible reason why the Flash Lite apps won't run?
Does the phone need a firmware or other update? Also, I am by
sending the SWFs via bluetooth as SMS messages--that shouldn't
matter, should it? Or do I need to go the long route by
    transferring it via usb?

  • Newbe Flash Lite 2.0 developer

    Hey
I just bought a new phone, a nokia 6110 and saw that it had
Flash Lite 2.0 pre-installed. I have done some Flash development
before in Flex for as3.0. I have been reading up on Flash Lite 2.0
and it seams like it's equal to Flash 7? Also when the new Flash
Lite 3.0 is released is it gonna work on my phone?
Can I develop for Flash lite by just using as2.0 in the Flex
IDE or do I have to get and use Adobe Flash CS3? Is there a free
compiler than can compile for Flash Lite 2.0, similar to the free
    Flex SDK?
    Thanks
    Zarathrusta

Flash Lite 2.0 is close to Flash 7 but not quite all features
(no FLV for example). Flash Lite also has a number of features
unique to mobile that are not part of the desktop PC player such as
device integration (fscommand2) and device video/sound.
A public beta developer version of Flash Lite 3.0 is
currently available for Nokia series 60 v3 phones only. I dont
recall the OS for 6110, you can check forum.nokia.com to find out
if this is a series 60 phone or not.
You can use any software tool that compiles to Flash 7
compatible SWF and run the SWF in the Flash Lite player. However,
there are special features of Flash Lite you can only develop for
using the Flash IDE. To my knowledge these are not yet part of
    FlexIDE and other free compilers.
So if you want to experiment you should be able to use
FlexIDE and compile to Flash 7 or lower for compatibility with
Flash Lite 2.0 player. But for a commercial level releases you
should consider using the Flash Lite IDE and Device Central for
    emulation and publishing.

  • Flash Lite 2.0 for Sony Ericsson W910i

I really need help for a project that I am doing at the minute. I need to use Flash Lite to develop a small application for my mobile phone which is a Sony Ericson W910i. I am using Flash 8 with Flash Lite 2.0 actionscript. I can use Flash ok but am quite new to Flash Lite. My problem is that I do not know how and where to save my Flash Lite .swfs on my mobile phone so I can view them on my mobile. I have heard that there is already a Flash Lite player on thisparticular model of Sony phone so what do I need to do to view my .swfs on my mobile phone? This is driving me mad - somebody please help me!
    Thanks!!

In Adobe Device Central you can check the "Flash" tab in the deivce profile for the W910i, in there Sony Ericsson have specified that this device support Screensaver, Wallpaper, HTML and Browser content types.
So if you have developed a game then you need to upload your SWF to a web url and load that in the browser.
