Flash Media Playback - Compatible with Flash Pro?

Hi all, I recently came across the Flash Media Playback player, (http://www.adobe.com/products/flash-media-playback.html) and it seems like a great solution for streaming video on a website. However, I'm wondering if we can somehow use the Flash Media Playback streaming service inside of Flash Professional. The FMP only outputs html code, so I'm not sure how or if this could be used in Flash, but is seem like something that should be possible.
Any ideas? Thanks!

The purpose of that product is to embed in HTML. If you're using AIR and use a StageWebView (which displays a native browser/HTML) then yes you could. Otherwise the purpose is specifically NOT to require Flash Professional. It's a fallback player, which means it attempts to use HTML5/MP4 as a best practice. If it senses no mp4 support it falls back to a flash player/SWF. The very nature of it overall is a copy and paste media player to use if you don't have Flash Pro.
It's based on OSMF, which is a player you can use inside Flash Pro:

  • Is there any way to create a file compatible with Premiere Pro

Is there any way to create a file in Premiere elements that is compatible with Premiere Pro and that can be used in Premiere Pro

    Consternation
The important information that I do not see mentioned nor offered by you.
1.What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system it is running? What version of Premiere Pro do you want to use?
The Premiere Pro Import Supported Formats seem to indicate that it will accept the Premiere Elements project.prel (project file) on Windows Only.
Adobe Premiere Pro Help | Supported file formats
This may or may not be possible depending on damaged projects or outdated elements.
    2. If you want to export your Premiere Elements Timeline to a file saved to the computer hard drive and subsequently import that into your Premiere Pro version, that "should" work. You would go to the Premiere Elements Publish+Share/Computer/ and make a selection based on what the Premiere Pro Import Supported file formats are and what you need. I can help you with that. But, details first.
But, just a "beware"...when you get to Premiere Elements 11 or 12 (if that is the version involved) Publish+Share/Computer/ there are several categories, but all you see is Adobe Flash Video, MPEG, and AVCHD. The rest of the list that includes AVI and QuickTime which both need to be scrolled to all of the time to see them, not just sometimes, with the thin scroll bar to the right of the list of choices. You can export files
with AVI file extension, under Publish+Share/Computer/AVI
with MOV file extension, under Publish + Share/Computer/QuickTime
And, if you do not have QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements, you are not going to have presets for the QuickTime export.
Remember, there is more to an export than just its file extension. Know your other export properties as well.
In many cases, you can customize the export settings to suit your requirements.
Problems will exist if you are trying to go from Premiere Elements Windows to Premiere Pro Mac or vice versa.
I would be glad for the opportunity to help you with this issue, but details are needed.
Looking forward to your follow up.
    Thanks.

  • Is there a version of iTunes that's compatible with XP Pro x64?

At this time I don't want to upgrade to Win 7 or go back to 32-bit XP, since iTunes is the only application I'm having trouble with and I like XP Pro x64 in all other ways. Is there either a version of iTunes that's compatible with XP Pro x64, or can one of the other versions be modified to make it compatible? Thanks.

Thanks! The procedure worked great for me (using iTunes 10), however there was one caveat. I also had to edit “AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi” with Orca and change the entry in “LaunchCondition” from
    VersionNT64>=600
    to
    VersionNT64>=501
in order for the Device Manager driver update procedure to work, and iTunes to recognize my iPhone4. Prior to doing this, only “digital still camera” was displayed in the “imaging” entry in Device Manger. Once I did the above, “Apple Mobile Device USB Driver” was listed, and the procedure worked as written.

  • External hard drive compatible with macbook pro 10.5.8

external hard drive compatible with macbook pro 10.5.8, i need a hard drive that will work with 10.5.8 to back everything up before upgrading to 10.6. a hard drive that is compatable with 10.5.8 has been impossible to find, a hard drive that works with both opperating systems is what i am looking for, any information that can help is appreciated

You can buy just about any USB2.0 hard drive and use it with your MacBook Pro.  Many older external drives come pre-partitioned and formatted FAT32 for use on Windows.  Your Mac can use that file system as well, but it has limitations on file sizes.  You can always re-partition your external drive and re-format it as HFS+ (MacOS Extended Journaled) then your old Mac OS version and your new one should both be able to access it just fine.  One thing to keep in mind is that many older OSes don't really handle drives larger than 2TB well, so you would probably want to try to keep your external drive to something smaller than 2TB...

  • Is CS6 compatible with Win8 Pro

Is CS6 compatible with Win8 Pro?

Microsoft does seem to care about backward compatibility so I wouldn’t be too concerned about CS6.
I would think anything that runs on Win 7 should be fine on Win 8. That said, I wouldn’t push my luck with anything older than CS5 but it wouldn’t surprise me to see CS3 and later working okay.

  • Can I get my GTX 670 card to be compatible with Prem Pro CC and Speedgrade cc on my windows machine?

Can I get my GTX 670 card to be compatible with Prem Pro CC and Speedgrade cc on my windows machine?

No need to hack anything in CC:
"(...) This is no longer necessary in Premiere Pro CC. As long as you have a reasonably modern card with at least 1GB of VRAM, you will still be able to enable that card in the Project Settings dialog. A warning message will appear letting you know that your card has not been certified by Adobe, but once that dialog is clicked through you can use your GPU."
    See details here:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/premierepro/2013/06/adobe-premiere-pro-cc-and-gpu-support.html
AFAIK SpeedGrade uses CUDA and/or OpenCL depending on availability, so no type or model white-list, with this one limitation only for Direct Link on Mac: only NVIDIA OpenCL is supported (NVIDIA CUDA and AMD OpenCL are not currently available with Direct Link on the Mac platform).

  • Mackie onyx 1640i digital mixer compatible with logic pro x??

I have a macbook pro 10.9.1. And was curious about purchasing a mackie onyx 1640i digital mixer. Is it compatible with logic pro x DAW?? Feed back would be much, much appreciated!

Well I got the 13 mackbook pro retina, mackie onyx1640i three days ago and havent got the onyx and the mac to talk to each other.  Problem is, mackie had a firewire 400 output and the Mac has a thunderbolt input.  So i guess you got to use adapters?  I have an old macbook pro and it does have a 400 firewire input.  I dont know what they were thinking, they need a 400 firewire and one end and a thunderbolt cable at he other.  Marco805

Korg nano séries it compatible with Logic Pro x ?

It's usually not about if the hardware is compatible with LPX.. It's if it is compatible with Mountain Lion that matters... as LPX needs 10.8.4 to run...
So, if the Nano series is compatible with Mountain Lion, you should be good to go..
To find out, see Korg's website

Is the latest nvidia driver (280.26) compatible with MacBook Pro 6,2 model)? Boot Camp 4.0 comes with the 262.41 nvidia driver, but I'd like to upgrade to the latest 280.26. The official 280.26 driver page on the nvidia site says that GeForce GT 330M is compatible, but in the footnote is written this thing:
Notebooks supporting Hybrid Power technology with Intel chipsets are not supported by this release
Do you think this is the case of MacBook Pro 6,2 model? Can I upgrade the driver without any problem?

  • HD camera compatible with Premiere Pro CS3?

What is the cheapest high definition camera compatible with PPCS3? Or, best deal for the money without spending a fortune? If not a particular brand/model, what output formats can I look for and be sure of native compatibility? I also would prefer a camera that records to an internal hard drive and/or flash card.
Thank you very, very much in advance!

    Attention Ayn Randian,
Getting camera advice from the user forum may prove a contentious issue.  I don't doubt you'll get the opinions of a couple of different users who have very differing views.  I'd suggest you call Adobe Tech Help or look for it in the 'Knowledgebase" where you can find a list of cameras Adobe 'supports' with CS3.  Go with what Adobe states it supports, not the regards of users on this forum.  Take for example the other post listed here.  HDV is definitely a good choice when looking into camera options.  However not just 'Any hdv camera will do', and any user that infers otherwise is not assisting you.  Going out and buying even a good hdv camera may leave you with a unit that isn't supported by Adobe and hence useless.  As previously indicated Adobe supply's a list of compatible cameras, use it.  Otherwise I suggest you do not purchase a camera unless you know for sure whether it will work with Adobe CS3.

  • Does anyone else experience jittery playback even with Mac Pro 2013?

I completed installing all my software on a new Mac Pro late 2013 and eagerly began working in Final Cut Pro 10.1.1 to see how much more improved my editing experience would be versus my old 2010 27" iMac. I was already experiencing jittery playback that would occur usually right after clicking the play button, but I'm sad to say that I'm still having that issue with the new computer.
    My specs are:
3ghz 8-core xeon, 32 GB RAM, dual Firepro D-500 graphics and my projects are not stored on a Pegasus R6 thunderbolt RAID 5.
I really expected skimming and playing back smoother like a hot knife through butter, but I'm dissapointed. I don't know if this is just a FCPX issue that still needs fixing, or if it's something that everybody experiences.

Thank you Russ. Here's more info and also when I said my projects were "not" stored on the RAID, that was a typo. They ARE stored in the same Library as the event on the RAID.
Media originals: H.264 MOV files shot with Canon DSLR at 23.98 fps 1920x1080.
    Transcoded files: Optimized and Proxy
Project settings: Manually set at 1920x1080, 23.98fps, Pro Res 422, 48kHz sound.
    Project playback: Proxy mode
There are no multicam clips created. I've created a few compound clips, the majority of which are for the purpose of linking a video track to another audio track (syncing cleaner audio recording).
The Library contains the one project I'm working on (the wedding video) and the one Event that contains the media. The footage in the event is of a wedding day with about 1,100 clips total, all of which are identical in format and settings so there's no mixing of frame rates, etc. The Library is stored where I store all my other libraries from other jobs: On the external thunderbolt Pegasus RAID.
I don't have any other events in the Library. My workflow is to have a new Library created for each job and keep everything together in it.
The current project I'm working on was created on 10.1.
To be fair, I'd like to clarify that the jittery issue is not a constant and is not as bad as when I was working on my 2010 iMac using a single disc external firewire drive to store my libraries. On that machine, I accepted the playback issue considering my firewire wasn't fast enough. The jittery playback I experience now on the Mac Pro is very minimal (Like sometimes for about 2 seconds right as I click Play), but my concern is why do I have it at all considering my footage type isn't as demanding as say multicam clips or complex composites or 4K media, and that the Mac Pro combined with the RAID are so fast.
I may perhaps have unreasonable expectations from this machine. The reason I decided to invest in it was to have a glitch free editing experience and not have to worry about slowing myself down to let the computer catch up. The thing is, If this is normal, then my frugal mind would tell me why not return this expensive Mac Pro and save thousands with a maxed-out new iMac combined with my thunderbolt RAID?

One other option you might want to consider is exFat.
Its supported on Mac and Windows, and even my TV!
Its got very large file (128PB) and volume size support.
    Cheers.
    Not again.
The OP wants this to use with a PS3, which does not support exFat. So that suggestion (while quite correct on its face) won't work.
    Maybe this will help you.
Check what the File System type is. Do this by going to Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management, Disk Manager. Select the external drive and read the "File System" type. The file system type must be FAT32 in order for the PlayStation to recognize it.
Split larger, high quality files into smaller files, if necessary. FAT32 has a limit of 3.9 Gigabytes per file, which means some high quality HD movies might have to be split into smaller files, and that makes it less than ideal for some HD content.
