Flash Media player - mp3 playback using CS3

I have an audio clip which is in MP3. It is about 7:30 min:sec in length consisting of 10 tracks each a teaser clip lasting from 30 to 50 seconds each with a brief fade out / fade in between each track. Each track has a song name. Here is what I would like to design a page as follows:
As each track is played I would like to show the viewer the name of the song. It could be a simple animation where the name is visible during the duration of the clip. The text title could also be static for all simplistic purpose. And so the same for rest of the tracks.
The background image of the page would be a static JPEG image.
Any ideas as how to approach this using CS3 Flash and Dreamweaver.

If the above seems convoluted, I would also would like to know how to setup a media player with individual tracks (each separate MP3 teaser), showing the track titles.

Does each track have an ID3 tag? Probably not I think you can only have 1 per mp3. You could splice the mp3 into 10 seperate mp3's, edit in ID3 tags (ID3 editors are available for free just do a search)and use actionscript to extract the tag info and print in a textfield.

p.s it resizes at runtime which normal flash files you cannot

Flash media player in apex.

I need help finding more informaiton on using flash media player in apex applications.
I have some audio files that we need to save in a database and be able to playback from the application. We can't have the information download or save to users machines before playing.

If you're playing the audio file by using a Flash component then the user won't be directly downloading the file themselves, it will be the 'responsibility' of the flash component to set its 'source' to point at the audio file in question.
If you're asking how do you then prevent someone from directly downloading the audio file, then that's actually far more difficult to achieve so it depends how 'secure' you want to be. I'd need more details really on your particular situation to be able to advise anything more.

Playing website videos requiring flash media player.

Flash Media Player- missing controls

I am using the flash media player. When I publish the file, the controls seem to be missing from the player. I have the skin.swf file uploaded with the player....but it appears missing?
Could something else be causing this?

Cannot associate media file types .swf .flv with Adobe Flash media player

I have been trying to associate these media types ( .swf .flv ) with Adobe Flash media player (9.0.124 latest from Adobe site) but cannot see the program in the list (looked under Adobe, Flash, Macromedia, Common etc) after loading. I have repeated the process, rebooted, and no luck.
Any ideas why a new program should not show in the Programs list ?

Thanks, I'm curious to find out what's different. I've repair disk permissions again using the one in Disk Utility instead of Cocktail with not luck As far as I can tell, all my issues seem to be occurring solely on www.adultswim.com and is sill happening with Camino, Firefox, Safari, and SWF & FLV Player. I'll keep checking other sites to see if the problem manifests itself elsewhere and I'll post any other changes I make to my system that might appear to help.

How to download mozilla fire fox and adobe flash media player

Hi I am so lost i cant seem to download all the stuff i need to set up my notebook (iBook G4) i just need to find out how i can update my mac os x 10.4 to a later version also since mine is obsolete it wont let me download firefox or adobe flash media player. Im not good with computers so i may need instructions to be easy to understand.

Once downloaded if it doesn't unzip automatically the double click on that file.
Look for the fp10.1.102.64_and_9.0.289.0archive folder, open it, look for the Flash Player 10.1.102.64 folder & open and look for 101r10264 folder & open it, double click on the flashplayer101r102_64_ubmac.dmg file, choose the Install Adobe Flash Player file to install... they don't make it easy!

The last really supported Flash for PPC was 10.1.102.64, but if it's for like Facebook or such, people have been fooling FB to think they have a leter version installed.

Why do the last three versions of flash media player in my browser reset my security and privacy settings leaving my system totally vunerable??? I have set and reset multiple times both locally and on the global settings panel on the Adobe web site.

How Access a Third Party Flash Media Player

Thanks for the suggestions it appears I was doing more or less the right things but miss reading the error message:
Cannot access keyword.classes.thirdPartyClass
bad class file C:\java\keyword\classes\thirdPartyClass
class file contains wrong class: thirdPartyClass
please remove or make sure it appears in the correct subdirectroy of the classpath.
While looking I have found that the classes do not contian src folders of Javadoc so I will go see if the third party can supply a Jar file or similar.

Can you add actions to the Flash Media Player?

I have 2 wmv files. One is the audio and one is the video. I
don't own any software that combines both formats maintaining
perfect video quality. If I import the video wmv file into Flash
(converting it first with the Flash video encoder) is there any way
I can create an action that plays and pauses a seperate audio track
in the project file (when hitting the button in the Flash media
player). ??

Flash is not supported on the iPad - and as Adobe have announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store.

Using Flash Media player to play files run from a database

Hello all,
I have a dynamic webpage which is connected to a MySQL
database displaying dynamic information stored in a MySQL table.
One additional field I have added is a 'video' field in which
the path to a flash video file is displayed.
I have a number of user (each user corresponds to a row in
the table) pictures which are stored in a folder, but the paths to
which are stored in the database.Using Dreamweaver, I can drag the
dynamic binding onto the image place holder and then it will lift
the corresponding image from the table, but the flash video player
doesn't seem to allow me to do this.
I would like to do something similar for flash videos, but
I'm not sure how to do it. Whenever I add a flash movie through the
media player I need to specify the path - which will change
depending on what entry in the table is being viewed.
I have created my websites only with dreamweaver and can't
program which probably explains why I've got no idea what to do.
Hope I made sense - will gladly clarify or send you my code.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that your database has the full path and that you
are tetsing in
the browser. You won't be able to see anything in DW

Flash media player and proxy

Not sure if this is the correct forum to use for this question... so if I'm in the wrong place - let me know.
Am streaming video using a Flash media server and the FLV Playback component. Actionscript 2. Our company goes to the internet through a proxy. Here's what's happening: When we try to play the video from our workstations the player tries to go directly to the server instead of going through the proxy. It fails a couple of times then may or may not go through the proxy. Is there a way to make the FLV Playback component go directly through the proxy without waiting for it to fail? Can't find code for that?

The videos work fine for me with Safari 2.0.2 and OS X 10.4.3. The section of the help file you quoted appears to be referring to a corporate firewall setup rather than a typical home setup - you shouldn't need to change any of the defaults for Windows Media Player.
A Google search for that error code you received mentions Flip4Mac in a couple of places - do you have that installed?
If so, try disabling it to see if that is the cause of your issues.

How can the built in media player (MP3 etc.) be disabled in Firefox for Android?

I am trying to figure out how to disable the media player so that media files get downloaded for playback later using my preferred Android media player. In my search for a solution I found the about:config method for the desktop version of Firefox but settings don't appear to be implemented in the Android version at this time. I'm on a rooted phone so command line / config file hacking is an option if that's what it takes.

What I'd really like is behavior Firefox (on the desktop, at least) used to have: click the link and it treats it as an unknown file and just downloads it.

Media player audio playback "out of sync"

I have a 9900 with 14GB of music in 2,600 tracks on a 16GB card - installed via Desktop Media Sync.
Recently, the media player has developed a fault during playback whereby the track being played is not the one shown on the screen. Come the end of the track it just stops and refuses to play the next track. If you advance it manually the problem continues except the track on the screen is the previous one played.
A battery pull cures this....for a while and then goes wrong again.
Solutions?
