Hello Shiven,
FMS Apache Service is installed from the Adobe Flash Media Server installation program. When I start FMS from the "Start Adobe Flash Media Server 4.5" icon, it starts both the "Flash Media Server (FMS)" and "FMSHttpd" service. When I stop the FMSHttpd service I am not longer able to access my FMS server from http://myfmsserverip. Please advise.

  • Windows Flash Media Server ERROR: [info] mod_jithttp - FMS installation path: "C:\\Program Files\\Ad

    Hello all,
I am running Flash Media Server 4.5.1 for Windows. I am using Windows 2008 R2 Server. Whenever I start my Flash Media Server, I get the following error in my Windows Event Log in the Application section.
The Apache service named  reported the following error:
    >>> [Tue Sep 04 13:43:40 2012] [info] mod_jithttp - FMS installation path: "C:\\Program Files\\Adobe\\Flash Media Server 4.5\\"  .
I am using the default configuration settings for HDS Live in the Apache2.2/conf/httpd.conf
    <IfModule jithttp_module>
    <Location /hds-vod>
         HttpStreamingJITPEnabled true
         HttpStreamingContentPath "/flashvideo"
         JitFmsDirPath ".."
         Options -Indexes FollowSymlinks
    </Location>
    </IfModule>
I am not sure what the error is, I did see using a single quote if you are using spaces in Windows for Apache2.2 configuration and that setting did not work. I would like to use HDS Live eventually. If anyone has experience in troubleshooting this, I'd love to hear your input. Thank you.

  • Problem with NetConnection in Adobe AIR(Flex) using Flash Media Server.

    Hi
I am creating a small chat application using Flash Media server. I have already created all my user interface components in Flex(Adobe AIR).In this application rather than sending text messages user can also  send  file to another user in his friend list.
problem what i am facing is, when i am sending file through FMS most of time it send successfully but for some files while sending  application loss netconnection.
so i would like to know, rather than closing application what are other condition when FMS loses network connection?
Any help would be appreciated .
    Thanks.

Hi. It looks like your code is not finding the mp3. At least,
I can reproduce your error code by removing the mp3 from the
    directory, or renaming it.
Btw, if you test with FF instead of IE, you'd see the error:
    Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2032:
    Stream Error.

    Hope that helps.

  • Adobe Flash Media Server in Ubuntu

I have installed Adobe Flash Media Server in Ubuntu.
    When I run the command
    sudo ./fmsmgr server start
it says that Server: start command:
Server service start not found. Exiting
When I start adminserver in the same way,
    the message displayed is :
Starting Adobe Flash Media Admin Server (please check /var/log/messages)
In the messages, the following is displayed :
    Server starting...
    Listener started ( FCSAdminIpcProtocol ) : localhost:11110/v4
    Listener started ( FCSAdminAdaptor ) : 1111/v4
    Server started (./conf/Server.xml).
Let me know if I am facing any issue because of the OS not being supported.

If you navigate to path where FMS is installed say /opt/adobe/fms and then run ./server restart  , do you get same error?

  • Flash media player errors

On certain websites such as Myspace and PureVolume, the
embedded flash media players refuse to work; instead returning a
message such as "Error Loading XML Document". At first, I could
activate the standalone playeroption and the player would function
as it was intended. Now it has gotten to the point that the players
won't work at all. and it happens on my work PC running Win2000 and
my home PC running XP home. I have tried upgrading to flashplayer
8,0,22,0, I tried reinstalling the older version of flash, updating
IE, reinstalling IE, restoring my security settings in IE to their
defaults and all for naught. and nobody on any of the usenet groups
knows what the problem is and nobody at Myspace or PureVolume know
what to do about it either. What could cause the error message? I
suspect it might be a registry key problem of some sort but that
kind of thing is waaaay over my head.
Any ideas from you guys at macromedia?

    Here's what I recommend..
    1. Get the -exact- error messages. If you can get some screen
    shots and
post them to the web all the better.
    2. Open a support case with Myspace and PureVolume. As the
    Flash/Flash
Media Server developers they have the ability to open support
    cases with
Adobe. I'd suggest you ask them to do so.

  • Audio not streaming correctly from Flash Media Server

Our company has a Flex application (3.0.2) that is having a problem with audio dropping out in Windows 7.  The problem appears worse with a wireless connection, but it can’t be consistently reproduced there, either.  The only thing known for sure is that the problem has not been seen on any other version of Windows.
The application thinks the audio is playing, because it is calling the appropriate event listeners triggered when the audio completes and when any audio cue points are hit.  The majority of our audio is streaming via Flash Media Server (3,0,2,201), but the problem was also seen using embedded sound effects.  In one instance, several clicks of a button triggered an error saying the sound effect could not be loaded, and then about a minute later, all the sound effects played at once and the user could then continue with the application.
The problem has been repeated in IE 8, Firefox 3 and Chrome.

Thanks for your details. But i need more info.
    Server:
    FMS      3.0.2 ?
FMS installed in which platform Linux/windows? more details about it.
    Client:
    IE          7
    Flash Player version     ?
    WIndows 7
Wireless connection - Was the client placed in poor bandwidth.
Can you get the NetStream status info when u play the audio file.? We can check for the rebuffering happening at the client side.
Can you run your audio file through flvCheck Tool to check if the media file is in good form. It is available at "\$Root|Flash Media Server\tools\flvcheck.exe"
Now our intention should be to check the same media file with simpler application (since your production app is complicated) to ensure that the media streaming over 'client to server' is working fine.

  • Domain issues with Flash Media Server

I have a webcam streaming to Flash Media Server via the Media
Encoder. I have published the .swf file with the flash player and
rtmp://99.999.999.999:1935/live/livestream address to my website on
    a hosted webserver.
When I am on another internet source, the player on my
webpage loads and works fine. However when I load the webpage in a
browser on the same network that has the Media Server and Webcam on
    it, the browser freezes up.
I need some help with a solution that will cause the rtmp://
address to switch to a local host address. Any suggestions.

When I downloaded a developer edition from Flash Media Server page (11 Oct 2011). I tried to follow the setup instruction in readme.htm which comes in the zip of Linux version.
I logged in to terminal as root user and call './installFMS' and then the terminal show me:

    Hi,
Are you trying to make an air app or a web application (flash) for streaming? You may want to check out the osmf framework to help you write a player for mobile platform. Check out http://www.opensourcemediaframework.com/ for more info on how you can write streaming video players using this framework. There are some good tutorials there and also you may post on the forum to get your specific queries solved.

  • FMLE not connecting to Flash Media Server

I have two laptops with windows 7 and FMLE 3.2 and FMS 4.5 in them. Laptop A is working perfectly with the default settings but i cannot connect to FMS with laptop B. I have tried turning windows firewall off, setting fmscore, fmscore and fmsmaster to run under administrator privileges.
The FMS starts correctly on laptop B (i compared the log-files on laptop a and b) and here is edge.00.log from laptop B (i censored my ip and host):

When i hit Connect button in FMLE i get the "Cannot connect to primary server" - error. When i change the FMS-Url to the ip-address of my laptop A i can connect to its FMS. The default FMS Url is rtmp://localhost/live and  Stream: "mystream@38220" (this is working in laptop A).
I downloaded TCPView and compared whats happening with the laptops when i hit the Connect button. On laptop B FMLE sends bytes to FMSEdge and it responds with 1 byte and then nothing happens. On laptop A same thing happens but it opens up FMSCore and the stream starts going live.
Apparently the FMS had worked on laptop B before but then it stopped working due to reasons unknown. I tried reinstalling it with no results and now im clueless. I also tried the fmscheck and it said it cannot connect to FMS. It seems the FMSEdge is not behaving correctly or something is blocking the traffic between the programs. Please help.

I tried connecting to localhost:1935 with telnet and typing something and then watching what happens in TCPView. It says that the fmsedge process listening to port 1935 establishes the connection and receives the bytes, though it closes it after few seconds probably because it doesnt understand what data i sent. And when FMLE sends 1537 bytes to fmsedge it receives them but nothing happens.

  • Does Flash Media Server work with Wirecast?

Does Flash Media Server work with the encoding software, Wirecast?
Do any of you have experience integrating the two? Good or bad ?
I'm currently using Red5, which doesn't work with Wirecast, but I'd like to be able to use Wirecast.
    Any advice would be appreciated!
    Best wishes.

Thanks again for your help on this!
I'm very new at this and don't really understand :
if you've enabled SWF verification on the FMS side, and made an exception for the FMLe user-agent,
I haven't done anything as far as setting other verifications, etc. This is just a default install of the FMS 3.5 Developers version.
But I have tried all 3 user agents, still, none can connect. I still keep getting the "Can't publish stream... check credentials/tokens" error message 4020.
    Any other thoughts/ideas?
    Best wishes.

  • Linux issue with Flash Media Server 2

    Greetings all,
We have just upgraded from Flash Communication Server 1.5 to
Flash Media Server 2, running on a server with Redhat Enterprise
    Linux 4.
For some reason, a Flash movie that uses the old
MediaPlayBack component does not stream video of a FLV. It does
stream audio. On my testing server using Windows 2000 it functioned
    fine.
On the other hand, the FLVPlayback component works nicely.
But I will have to go back and rewrite literally dozens of
applications that I wrote for Flash Comm 1.5 which used the
MediaPlaybackComponent, unless there is an easy fix for this.
I have documented this anomaly with a Captivate movie which
    you can see at
    http://breeze.stfrancis.edu:8900/mediaplayerwoes/.
It runs 2 minutes 13 seconds.
I BADLY need help with this. If you can help I would greatly
    appreciate it.

But my old version of Flash MX show me an error message when
I try to open "CommunicationComponents.fla" which contain the
components of Flash Media Server 2.0.1.
My old version of Flash MX can't read this file and say
    something like "Unexpected file format".
