Flash moving my symbols and layers around the stage

Every now and then if I close and reopen flash, it will randomly move different layers and symbols around so they're a discombobulated mess. My animation isn't smooth anymore and I have to try to piece it back together, but it never looks as nice as it did when I first drew it. It seems to pick things at random. Sometimes I'll start drawing and it'll brush stroke like, 100 px to the left of where I'm trying to draw, too.
What am I doing wrong? I noticed that it often happens right after I change the stage size to match the contents (sometimes I draw off the stage and instead of making it a symbol to fit within the stage, I just change the stage size).

Image quality when moving bitmaps around the stage

Hey all,
I am moving an image around the stage, and when it moves
quickly, it becomes distorted and displays what I can only refer to
as "banding". The image appear to be misaligned for some of the
frames that it is moving. I have tried a number of the usual fixes,
increasing the framerate, using a less complex image, etc. Nothing
seems to work. Any ideas? I feel like I have seen a lot of flash +
director movies that have fast motion, slick movement, etc and not
appear as what I end up with. Is this something that relates to a
screen refresh rate? Thanks for any ideas...

Sounds like good old vertical sync / tearing. This is really
not a fixable
issue. You can try slowing down the movement a little...
Someone, a while
ago, worked on creating an xtra that would honor the vertical
blanking
interval, but it never really worked properly I don't
believe. You can read
all kinds of prior posts about this by searching google
groups within
macromedia.director.* for 'vertical sync'

I just purchased an IMac with lion and I tryed to install an old math program that is for winmac running systems. When I try to boot the cd it comes up with a notepad window with a bunch of weird symbols and codes but the program will not start up.

I just purchase my first IMac with lion and I was trying to install a math program I bought 6 years ago. When I went to boot it off the disk while following the program instructions a window popped up with a note pad format with symbols and codes but the program would not download or open. How do I get this program to work? It is a mac compatible program by the way.

Your Mac probably does not know with which application to open the file and is opening a file with a text editor that really needs to be opened by the application itself. Try starting the application first, then use the File > open command to open the file.
As varjak paw comments, there isn't a "winmac" so that's not telling us anything.
Note that it is possible that software purchased 6 years ago may no longer run on your computer. Once we know what it is we can help more.

Why doesn't flash player stay installed and why does the saved file disappear. I have downloaded and installed flash player several times on my Win7 Vaio laptop. I have uninstalled and deleted all versions. I am the administrator and I have also turned off my Security Software, but the same thing keeps happening over and over. The Java Script is enabled and I have tried both downloading via IE and firefox. It is rediculous that it keeps disappearing and I keep getting messages that the newest version is needed. I am downloading directly from adobe and they say it is the latest. Getting very frustrated. They ask if we have any problems when we go to the finish line, but there is no place for comments. I guess they don't really care if it works or not.

So is it actually installed, or is it not? If not, download and run the offline installers:

Delta Compressed and Deleted in the stage before .

Hi all,
i have a critical issue with an Delta logic in one of my Cubes.
A wrong ( logical ) Delta request was already Compressed in the Cube and Deleted in the stage before . This avoids further Delta Rquests in the Cube. By trying to request a delta i will be prompt to repeat the missing delta and it fails because of the missing request in the ODS. I cant reload the cube because of 14 Mio records this would take to long.
anyone an Idea how to correct the delta flow without reloading everything?

see in rsa7 the content of the repeat, are you able to do a selective delete from your cube to remove only that data?
If you can't manage that, you could set a repair request that fits the data you'll need to delete (date range? product? customer?) and only load the repair in the cube.
To have the delta work fine again, set the original request to red and delete in the ODS as well and then run the repeat, you can't run the repeat as long as the request is in the ODS.

Moving a symbol w/out recording the path animation.

Hello.
I have a very simple question.
I am simply trying to move symbols around on my Stage, and each time I move one, the "path" is recorded and the object flows on that path when I scrub or play back.
All I would simply like to do is reposition images and symbols with out the movement and animation.
Any advice?

if you see that path it means you have a motion tween applied to the symbol.
right-click on the symbol and select remove tween.
if you don't want flash to figure out the motion for you do this:
place symbol on stage in frame 1
select any other frame in that layer, 2, 5, whatever... and press f6 to add a new keyframe.
change the position of the symbol
repeat as necessary

Flash player will play multiple layers of the song...

File can not be moved by drag and drop in the finder when not open Finder windows

With the operating system OSX Snow Leopard, it was possible, for example, a file from the desktop to pull drag and drop on the Finder icon, the page opened after a short and you could put the file in a folder.
At this stage I must first open the Finder to drag a file into the destination folder.
Is it a setting or is there anything wrong with my Mountain Lion properly?
It is often the case that several windows of other applications are open or in Fullscreen are, then I would, as I also already knew and am accustomed, for example a file regardless of the location from which drag drag and drop in the Finder without leaving the / program / site to open the Finder, before returning to the file then select I wanted to move.
Note: For all other programs it works.
Finder not only in where it makes the most sense.

How do I activate the Edit menu and Layers in the trial version of PSE12?

After looking at http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements/faq.html#trial-information 1., which says it's a fully functional version, I downloaded the trial version of PSE12,.
But when I open a photo, and Select > All, the Edit menu shows the following:
Thinking that maybe Layers has to to active, but the Window menu shows the following:
Like in the Edit menu, everything is greyed out.
How do I make things active so I can actually evaluate this trial version?

HT1171 shift and the number 2 is making " symbol and some of the other keys are not typing the correct symbol. How do I fix this?

I subscribed to your feed and was unable to download episodes - I tried several including the latest. The error message was that the download was interrupted.
I was able to download the latest episode in a browser, and to play it in Safari. Evidently your server is reacting badly to requests from the iTunes application; I have no idea why this should be the case and can only refer you to the people running your server.

The icons and boxes around the icons of web pages are not showing

Imagine when looking at the Mozilla "enter your username and password page" all you see is text but no boxes around the fields. Well...that is what I see. I see "Enter your username" but next to it is no boxes around the field to enter the username. I have to click around to see where I can type in the box.
Other pages like the Office 360 email page used to show little curved arrow buttons like "reply" and "reply all" and "Delete" with a red X but now just greyish looking pages. I tried resetting FF to default.

Trackpad draging and jumping around the screen

trackpad works for a while but then the trackpad begins to drag (when I move my finger around the trackpad, the curser either doesent move at all or moves very slowly) and the curser begins to jump around the screen when the trackpad and computer isent being touched. I tried to connect a wireless mouse and it too bagan with the same problems. if anyone has any ideas of how to fix it, im all ears.

Yes i've gotten this twice.
Once from not quite legitmate software.
Once from a sketch NSFK site.
Both times, it was easily resolved for me by shutting down.
Follow the procedure to reset SMC controller ( make sure you do this properly ) Guides are available on Apple's support page.
Immediatly after the SMC reset before any other reboot reset the PRAM several times.
then reboot as normal.
...I'm not sure what exactly is going on.. I think some setting is getting adjusted and set EFI that's why normal reboots, safe mode, nothing else solves it. One of the more eye opening aspect of it for me was when I rebooted my macbook into Windows7 via bootcamp and it still presisted. At that point it had NOTHING to do w/ OS software, plist, safe mode or myraid of other suggestions you'll encounter.

Moving Wrong Offerings and Classes to the correct Catalogues

The user have spend the whole day entering Catalogues, Offerings, and Classes. Unfortunately most of the Offerings and Classes were entered under the wrong Catalogue. (Don't ask me how they did it, but they did...lol).
Now the user wants to copy/move all the wrong Offerings and Classes and Paste/move it under the correct Catalogue. I was told this is not possible. You have to delete the Offerings and Classes and then enter it under the correct Catalogues. Is this correct? Or is there a way you can move these incorrect Offerings and Classes to the correct Catalogues?
example:
Catalogue: Correct
Offering: Incorrect
Class: Incorrect

We had this same case. I used web adi to moved the the classes to the right catalogues/offerings. Use the OTA_EVENT_API.UPDATE_CLASS procedure and OTA_EVENTS_V view to get all class listings. Find the right activity_version_id and parent_offering_id of the catalogue you want the classes to moved to. Use this values to change the values of the activity_version_id and parent_offering_id of the classes you will be moving.
