SAME THINGS WITH THE NEW ONE IF I GET IT.
Simple answer (repeating what others have just said):
Flash 8 is a newer version of Flash. "Flash MX 2004 Pro" is
just an awkward marketing name. It is in reality Flash 7. The "MX"
is meaningless and does not imply any extra features. Flash 8 is
not "Flash MX 8", just because the "MX" was an annoying and
confusing pair of useless trendy-sounding letters that were put
there by the marketing team and later removed. Flash 8 will do
everything that Flash MX 2004 will do, plus extra. Sort of obvious
in all the other responses above. Please believe everybody.
To get Dreamweaver and Flash and the rest, get Adobe Studio
8, which bundles them together and saves some money.

  • MSI 770T-C45 won't post after flashing BIOS with M-FLASH

After flashing AMIBIOS 8.3 to v8.7 with M-FLASH via USB stick I can't get any post.
Had I read this forum before I wouldn't have done it, but here I am.
Fan starts, LEDs are off, no beeps at all, power button does nothing. Black screen.
After force flashing (yes, I am THAT stupid) the prompt said it would reboot in 5 seconds and after that nothing.
    Here's my setup:
    Board: MSI 770T-C45
    Original Bios: v8.3
Flashed Bios:  v8.7 (flashed with M-FLASH)
VGA:   EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
    PSU:   Enermax FMAII EG465AX-VE 460W
    CPU: AMD Phenom x4 9650
    MEM: Kingston DDR2-667 4x2GB KVR667D2N5/2G
    HDD: SAMSUNG 840 SSD 250GB
    OS: Windows 8 Pro 64bit
I tried every CMOS clearing method found in previous posts and threads (including this and this.)
    1. Unplugged from power, waited 5 minutes, removed the battery (5mins), changed jumper position (5min), switched it back (5min), plugged it in (5min) and powered up with and without USB stick in the hub next to network hub with old BIOS (v8.3) inside. Pressed CTRL+HOME, anything, not a single message or beep or LED flashing.
Also I removed all RAMs and kept one in the first socket. Nothing.
I really don't know what to do next. What seems to differ from other users is LEDs non working, what does that mean?

The problem here is that after update 8.6 the m-flash module was updated, so yes your mobo is a brick, but there is still hope for it. I had the same situation a few days ago with the exact same model and was able to recover it by following the steps on listed on the below posts:
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=133578.0
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=129989.0
It may seem complicated at first, but trust me its not at all.
Anyways you probably already have another mobo, send it for RMA or used it as frisbee, but it may come handy for some other doing the same noob flashing as we did

I created a Flash Animation for a school project in Adobe Flash CS6 at home, and at school which uses Adobe Flash CS5, I can't open the flash file.  Is there anyway I can make this happen, because until then I can't work on my project.

  • Embedding a Flash animation in a Flash Site

I'm looking for a solution to the following problem. I am
developing my website in Flash and I would like to show examples of
interactive flash animations I have developed. I imported my my
.swf animation to my flash site library, but when I drag and drop
it to the stage the following happens:
    1. The animation plays from frame to frame without stopping.
    2. Elements which were hidden (off the stage) in the
animation now show up on the stage.
    3. When I open the animation in edit view (double click the
animation on the stage) the entire animation appears as individual
    frames on one timeline.
I would like to maintain the interactivity of the animation
on the site (i.e. buttons, tool tips) and I suspect there is a way
to embed the animation in the flash site while in flash.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

You don't really want to add new files that way. In addition
to the problems that you list, you will also be making one, large,
file. This means that it will take longer to download, and possibly
    play poorly.
You should keep these independent .swf files as they are, and
"import" them using either AS2's loadMovie() or AS3's URLRequest()
to bring each file into your movie.

  • Flash 8 vs. FLash MX 2004

This is a Flash 8 vs. Flash MX 2004 issue...
Anyone else noticing a difference saving files over a network
from Flash 8. I have never had a problem with Flash MX 2004 saving
over a network, but now saving a 14 MB flash file to a Mac OS X
Server is taking up to 2 minutes over AFP!! Server is a Sawtooth G4
running Jaguar Server 10.2.8 - long in the tooth I know!
An odd thing about this is that my first save will take 15
seconds, my second about 2 minutes, the third around 15 seconds,
the fourth around 2 minutes and so on... A "Save as" will take
    about 40 seconds consistently.
    That is:
    0:15 - 1st save
    2:00 - 2nd save
    0:15 - 3rd save
    1:56 - 4th save
Again that is using AFP, but even using SMB I notice this
alternate short/long save time. Using SMB a "Save as" takes 16
seconds on the same 14 MB file. Then the first save will take 3
seconds and the second about 13 seconds, the third save will take 3
seconds the fourth save will take 14 seconds etc...
Now this looks like a good case for using SMB over AFP (but
that is a topic for another forum). However, it is clearly a Flash
8 vs. Flash MX 2004 issue. When I go back to using Flash MX 2004
saves pretty consistently take about 2-3 seconds and "Save As"
takes about 10 seconds. This is using AFP or SMB (SMB is a bit
    faster).
I called Macromedia (Adobe) support for help and their only
answer is that "saving over a network is not reccommended or
supported" (neither is this documented, even though some of their
tutorial examples use network workflows). I told them that Flash MX
2004 (and previous) NEVER gave me this problem which has apparently
been introduced with Flash 8 Professional.
    Anyone else have this issue?
    Thanks

  • Where is the "done" button in Flash CS4 when using Flash Builder 4's new flash component or container?

The documentation for Flash Builder 4 beta says that after opening flash from flash builder, I should click a "done" button in flash and flash should close and what I created in flash should be included as a component or container in Flash Builder.  Using the Flash Builder 4 beta on Windows, when I click on the "create in flash" button on the properties panel for either the new flash component or container, Flash CS4 opens, I create something in Flash and no "done" button is present.  Nor is anything present in the menus resembling a "done" option.  Where is it?

    Hi Jeffrey:
Still no done button.  Now under commands in Flash I can convert symbols to flex components and containers and these show up in the Flash library.
    Thanks:

I apparently didn't get one.  I've looked under various workspace configurations.  Another thing that seems odd is that when Flash opens I get the opening panel that allows me to select the type of file and version of AS I want to use.  I select new file with AS3.  Any ideas on why the "done" button wouldn't be present and if the opening panel is what I should expect on opening Flash after clicking the "create in Flash" button?

  • Create Flash Professional component in Flash Builder 4.7

    Hello,
I would like to make a Flash Professional Component in Flash Builder.
This is a lot easier for code hinting and you don't have to use a FLA file.
Also you don't have to right click the component in the library and "export component SWC"
The ONLY difference i've seen in the swc file files between a Flash Professional Component and a Actionscript Library Project (created in Flash Builder), is 3 lines of code in the catalog.xml file.
      <components>
        <component className="centomedia.components:CvPlayerComponent" name="CvPlayerComponent" icon="CvPlayerComponent_IconFile.png"  />
      </components>
Is this in any way possible?
    Thanks for the help!

Come on, someone must have an answer? no?
even if the answer is, impossible

  • How-to add Flash Player 9 to Flash Pro CC - (PC & MAC)

    Howdy -
I wanted to compile all of the helpful information regarding lack of Flash 9 support in Adobe Flash Pro CC.
As you know that Flash 9 is still required for a majority of flash adverts and the DFP platform is especially critical of the flash version on a SWF creative.
Currently in Flash Pro CC the lowest version of flash you can save as is 10.3. Even when you do export a SWF as Flash 10.3, DFP and the DoubleClick validator reports the exported file as Flash 12.
DoubleClick Flash Validator ( Awesome for verifying clicktags and Flash versions ):

For PC users you are going to need to locate the directories below:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CC\Common\Configuration\ActionScript 3.0\FP9\playerglobal.swc
Note: The FP9 folder does not exist in the "ActionScript 3.0" directory, you will need to create it and place the "playerglobal.swc" located on the attached "Windows Flash CC FP9 Assets.zip".

For MAC users you are going to need to locate the directories below:
    /Applications/Adobe Flash CC/Adobe Flash CC.app/Contents/Common/Configuration/Players/FlashPlayer9_0.xml
    /Applications/Adobe Flash CC/Adobe Flash CC.app/Contents/Common/Configuration/ActionScript 3.0/FP9/playerglobal.swc
To navigate inside "Adobe Flash CC.app" in Finder, you need to right click it and select "Show Package Content".

  • Right clicking on a flash object causes all flash objects to crash

whenever I attempt to right click on a flash movie or other flash based object the flash plugin crashes and takes all flash objects including those in other tabs with it. There does not seem to be any other problems with the plugin just that it crashes when an attempt is made to right click on any flash object.

Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
    See "Creating a profile":
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem.
You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:
*disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
*disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

  • Flash file inside a Flash File

I know this may see a stupid question... But I've looked
everywhere and haven't found an answer. How do I add a flash file
inside another flash file? I'm interested in creating an all flash
website, but am kinda stuck when it comes to switching pages on the
site. What's the easiest way to do this?

    Hello Ben J.,
loadMovie is your new best friend.
The best way to use this is to create an empty movie symbol,
    put it on the
timeline and give it an instance name (placeHolder for
    example). Then you
can load another swf into that placeHolder clip with the
    following script:
    placeHolder.loadMovie("whatever.swf");
This is a GREAT way to cut down on the initial load time of a
    site because
you only load what you need when you need it.
You can really have some fun when you start controlling
    objects on the main
timeline from your loaded movies and vice versa.
    Good luck!

  • Flash Builder cannot find Flash CS4!

I am hoping someone can help me with this issue, it's driving me crazy and I need this working for a project. Whenever I try to use a Flash Container component, Flash Builder shows this message:
Edit in Adobe Flash error: This feature requires Adobe Flash CS4 or higher to be installed
I have Adobe Master Collection CS4 installed, and I cannot figure out how to make Flash Builder find Flash CS4, any suggestions?
    Thanks!

Mmm, no, I haven't tried that but I will, at least it will allow me to work with Flash content. Just so weird that Flash Builder cannot find Flash CS4, and I cannot find a reference to this error anywhere on the web.
    Thanks for the alternative!

  • Flash MX vs. Flash 8

    Hello,
I have Flash 8 on my Home PC, on which I do most of my
flashing. But somtimes I get bored a school, and work on some flash
stuff there. However, when I try to open up some stuff I worked on
at home (flash 8) at school (Flash MX), It says: "Unexpected File
Type", and refuses to open the file, even though it's a .fla file.
I even tried saving my flash 8 files as flash MX 2004, on my home
PC. I am getting overly frustrated.
    Help?

Your title seems to say one thing and your description the
other. You shouldn't have any problem opening Flash MX files with
    Flash 8.
But Flash MX (also known as Flash 6) can only open files that
are in MX or earlier format. Flash 7 and 8 didn't exist when MX
came out so how could it know about those formats?
Flash 8 can save to Flash MX04 (also known as Flash 7) format
but it can't save back to MX format. So you are not going to be
able to open Flash 8 or 7 files with MX.
PS: And you should be paying attention and studying in
    school!
