Flash on Camera turned off

it appears that the flash on my Z10 camera is turned off and I can not figure out how to turn it on. When I open the camera and tap the button in the lower right corner the "flash" line if grayed out. I can't find a place in settings or set up to turn the flash on or at least modify the camera settings. Help, please

Hi, you have to select the camera icon rather than the face icon in upper right corner before you can turn on flash. that should do it.

Try Hard Reset -> Hold down these two buttons at the same time [Sleep/Wake & Home] the moment you see the Apple Logo 'release those buttons' allow device to reset
If still no resolution -
Restore
[back up information either via iTunes or iCloud if no recent one has been done]
Erase All Content an Settings - FIRST Set up As New - Test Camera Flash
Works? Great! - restore back up
[NOTE - if the flash does not respond again after restoring back up then sorry will have to Erase All Content and Settings Again and then the best part 'Set up As New and manually enter data/information']
If the first time done and after setting up as new and still not resolved - then Id suggest call AppleCare Support or set an appointment up with an Apple Retail Store

Remove the Batter for a couple of minutes.. Insert..and check if the phone gets ON.. If not then check for any difference without the SIM and the Memory Card.
If no difference then you must visit Nokia Care...

thats the AR coating on the lens.

It is so hot it burns my skin if i touch it, so bright, it hurts to look at, so hot there is now a warning that it is not usable till it cools down, but there is no way to cool it down.

more info, this happened after update to 7.0.2, and also wifi will no longer turn on since update. I took it in to apple store, it had one month left on warrenty, and they said that it would have had to get wet for this to happen. I thought that maybe it got wet through my jeans pocket in the rain or something so I didn't pursue it. Now of course, it is out of warranty by a month.

Macbook Pro camera turns off and back on.

When I am videochating with my friends or for any reason I have my camera on, most of the times the camera turns off (Green Light Off) and then back on. While the light turns off my video gets stuck and then when the camera turns back on the video continues to function normally but it bother me a lot because it is a new computer I just bought for christmas and whenever I am videochatting the camera turns off and back on. I noticed from the pics that your location setting is "untitled." Have you tried the "Automatic" setting? Run the diagnostic test? Results?
Try the basics first:
Change your router channel number. Most times this works & is all you have to do.
Disconnect & reconnect your modem. unplug it for about 10 seconds. Plug it back in. Do the same for Apple’s routers. Wait for everything to reboot.

Click the Assist Me button.
In the next window that pops up, click the Diagnostic button & do the necessary.

IPhone camera turns off automatically!!!!!

I am having iPhone 4S, with IOS version 7.0.4.
I am facing problem with the camera with different cases:
1. When iMesage is decativated in the settings and i open my camera.. camera turns off automatically and i get a pop showing activate iMessage.
2. When i open camera and flip the camera icon to take self pic using front camera, it immediately goes off.
3. When music is being played and i try to open camera and flip the camera icon to take self pic using front camera. Camera goes off turning off the music too.
These are the problems i am facing with the camera in my iPhone 4S.

Standard troubleshooting steps:
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)
Backup and restore your software via iTunes. If the problem continues, restore as a NEW device. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

FaceTime camera turns off when switching between spaces

I will have the Facetime app on, have a conversation with a person. I have Mail opened up full screen in another "space." When I switch to that space, the camera turns off. I have to go back to the "space" that FaceTime is in in order to turn the camera back on. Is there a way to keep the camera on all the time when switching between different spaces and the Dashboard?

Having the same problem - In Snow Leopard, when I was on a FaceTime chat with a friend, I was able to navigate away from the FaceTime and surf, check the calendar and other stuff without pausing my video feed. In LION, for whatever reason, FaceTime pauses itself whenever I navigate away from the app. It's as if the application is FORCING me to stay in the conversation when, sometimes, I use FaceTime for TALKING, not VIDEO CONFERENCING.

My Iphone 4s will not charge, flash won't turn off. Is it completley broken?

My iphone was completley dead and when I tried to charge it the flash came on and it won't charge or turn on now. I've tried restarting it and at first the Apple logo would pop up but now it is doing nothing but saying the battery needs to be charged, but it won't charge because the flash won't go off! Plus, when I plug it into my mac book itunes doesn't recognize it.

What on earth do you mean by shattered? Can you post a picture?
It's always possible that the connector was damaged but not to the point that chargers wouldn't work. With continued use, the damage got worse until the connector could no longer feed electricity into the phone.
It sounds to me like you need to get your phone replaced but only the folks at an Apple store can say for sure.

Camera turns off and on and freezes me during calls any help?

The green light will usually turn off randomly and repeatedly and then come back on after like a few seconds and ill look at myself and ill be frozen until it comes back on. Anybody know how to fix this or is this how all macs are. Really dissapointed with this purchase so far already had to get it fixed twice because and i quote "im not allowed to move a mac while its on, as in walking around". And the fan noises and the constant bs camera freezing. Anyways all im worried about is how to fix the camera.

It is not normal that the camera goes on and off by itself. Is there a specific app you are using when this happens?
You are allowed to use Macs while on the move - that is why they are notebooks - so whoever told you that is wrong. Also fan noises are stronger when using intensive programs that use Flash.

When its unpluged from the usb the lcd screen comes on, says HI, then i can
switch threw the options. As soon as i plug in the usb cord, It turns off. I installed the drivers from the (video blaster webcam Go- drivers and applications) and seems no problems with that. Just when i plug in USB.

Exact same problem. Brand new Macbook Pro 13 2015. After i plug in USB stick wifi stops working after 1 minute or so. I'm trying to setup bootcamp, which requires USB memory to install. It's so frustrating.
I've had Macbooks throughout the years, and they always seem to have wifi issues -- eventually get resolved by software update, but you wonder what's up with Apple QA.
