Flash or premier

Hello and thanks for reading my post,
I have four components that I'm trying to make a video of which I want to post online.
I have a screencast which I put together which will show how to use an application called vmware.  This has audio and video showing actions I am performing on my desktop.
I have a video of myself I want to add.
I have some photoshop graphics I want to add.
I might have some extra sound files I want to add.
I want to bring all these components together and be able to edit them and then post them on my blog as a video.  Or may even post them on Youtube.
My question is what tool do I use to bring them together, edit them, and then save them in a format that I can upload online?
Should I use premier or flash?
Thanks in advance for you assistance!
Nathan

I would use Premier or After Effects. If you use Flash you will have to convert your video to an .flv, do all of your compositing in Flash, and then export the result back out as video again. Aside from the inherent problems of trying to synch to an .flv during authoring, you will be dramatically reducing the quality of the video by converting it to an .flv and back out to video.

  • What's the difference between flash and premier

I know Flash is usually used for game production and Premier for video creation, but I saw poeple also can use Flash for video production as well. So I need to know what are the differences between the two of them.

Flash is used most often for animation, and especially interactive animation.
Premiere is used for video production, but with certain limitations, such as version support, or lack of it, can work with Flash animations.
There is some cross-over, just as there is with Premiere and After Effects, but each program has specific uses.
Good luck, and that is the very short answer. Others will likely be able to give you a point-by-point difference between Flash and Premiere.

  • Flash cs5 cs3 compatibility

    hello.
i am at school that requires student to purchase the Current adobe CS suite when they enter as freshman.
we now have CS5 in our labs. Students cannot figure a way to get there CS5 files into CS3.
    is this possible?
    thanks,
    harvey

Check to see what each program has an optioon for in the save as dialgue box.
E.I. Flash CS4 can save as CS3 and CS3 can Save as CS2 and as well Illustrator can do the same same but in a borader spectrum even sa low as AI 9.
My suggestion would be to make native files of each in CS5 app and test then go back to CS 5 and try all of the save as opitons using the legacy options. I can probably say Phtooshop, and Illustrator will not be so hard but Flash, Encore, Premier, After Effects, etc., will be shoot and miss especially since you are going from CS5 all the way down to CS3.
I ebleiev Phtooshop is the only one that can do it if you sue the most campatable opitons check bix when saving a .PSD file.
Remmebr as a strudent even though you get a great deal when you buy a student version of the suite you can never upgrade those licenses. SO you arn't really getting a deal you will eventallu pay for a full suite amdprobab;y more if you keep buyion student versions.
Buy full versions and never look back. Upgrade costs for full licenses are just as much as buying a new student version every new release. I tell students all teh time by a full version and be ready once you graduate.

  • Help! Adobe Media Encoder disappeared from my Creative Cloud

    2 issues.
#1. Was using Adobe Media Encoder (part of my creative cloud subscription) .. it kept saying i needed to activate it all of a sudden.. so (am on a mac) dragged it to trash, and went to adobe application manager to re-install, all of a sudden, it's not there. So then went to online https://creative.adobe.com/apps to download it.. it's not there either! What do I do?
#2. ADOBE YOUR ONLINE SUPPORT SUCKS. I contacted these online chat people in India 3 times and each time they disconnected me or screwed it up. WTF. seriously. You have officially gone down in terms of reputation with me.
    Please help.
As per the support issue, i'll deal with some Adobe Exec separately for that.
    thanks

Why would you trash your application?  Dragging apps to the Trash doesn't activate, de-activate or uninstall the software.
Media Encoder is not a separate software download.  Like Bridge, it comes bundled with other software like Flash Pro, Premier, After Effects....

  • Output for TV Monitor Viewing

We're putting together an animated slideshow presentation for a sales office, which will be viewed on a large TV.
I have experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash, and Edge Animate....and wonder which of the ACCloud apps should we use to produce the final presentation.
We would like to have it run from a Flash Drive....but would consider adding Google TV so we could use the Chrome browser.
    1. I think Edge could be a good choice for us, for product image and text transitions?
    2. If built in Edge with fluid layout, could we use Media Encoder to output H.264 HD 1080p so the TV would play it as a video file?
    3. Should I build in Flash, and use Media Encoder as in #2 above?
I know this is a very obtuse post, so please just point me in a direction.
    Thanks in advance,
    JZ

Edge outputs to HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (web technologies).  I don't see how you could use Media Encoder on that.
If you want a high res video, use Flash or Premier Pro.

  • I can't import videos into Photoshop CS6?

I just ripped a whole load of Doctor Who episodes, and I have been wanting to make .gifs of them, but every time I try to import them into Photoshop (file > import > video frames into layers (how I normally make gifs)), I get a message saying, "Could not complete the video frames to layers command because the file could not be opened". I don't know why this is happening, because Photoshop normally opens .avi files and all I want is to make .gifs of these Doctor Who episodes.

You should open your Dr. Who episode in adobe flash or premier pro. Probably you need to covert it. You could use the adobe media encoder. Photoshop cs6 has "intuitive Video creation" and you have to bring in the video as a mp3. I never tried it   As Photoshop is an image editing app and not created to open Video files so you could probbably use Premiere to export the individual frames and then open those in Photoshop.

  • Application manager shows apps that are not installed as Up-to-date

Flash and Premier pro not on my computer, application manager says they are Up-to-date
Edge Animate is in the applicationfolder, AppManager asks me to install ...
Did a restart of the computer, did try an uninstall but the applications don't show,
    did a P-Ram cleanup,.

Rudy please see Creative Cloud AAM lists Applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html for information on how to resolve your current difficulties.

  • Teach me to fish!

I'm working on a PC (not a MAC) using Flash and Premier Pro CS3.
PROBLEM: I want to save a Flash animation and place it in Premier Pro.
I don't have Quicktime installed on the PC so I exported the animation as an AVI instead. When I imported the .avi animation into Premiere it was small in size and the image quality was very low. Illegible.
    QUESTIONS:
A.) Do I have to have Quicktime installed on a PC? If so, where can I get it?
B.) With Quicktime installed, will I be able to save Flash animation as an .mov? I've visited a few forums that seem to say that CS3 doesn't work with Quicktime now.
C.) How come there aren't a billion different ways to save a Flash file and import it into Premier? Why isn't it easy? They're both Adobe products. AM I MISSING SOMETHING?
Thanks in advance to all of you wicked smart folks!

Well I'm not one of the "wicked smart folks" so I need to know at least the following from you:
    - What
codec did you use in the AVI
    export?
    - What
    pixel resolution and
pixel aspect ratio did you use for the
    export?
    - What is the
    pixel resolution and
    pixel aspect ratio of your
    project?
    Cheers

These last questions i don't understand what you meant by them so i left them
Are you using OpenGL features in After Effects?
Does the problem only happen with your final output, RAM preview, or both?
Are you using Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously multiprocessing?
Are you using the ray-traced 3D renderer?
If the problem is with output, give your exact output settings (both render setting and output module settings). Screenshots help.
What is the exact sequence of steps that you are taking?
    With Regards ASilva
PS: Tomorrow will see if it gives me the error again

  • How to import a flash swf file in premier. Without loosing the animation of the movie symbols.

    HEEELLPPP!!
I am doing animations in flash... and then putting them in premier as a SWF file..
but when I do that, the animation does not work properly..
example : If its a star that spins, and goes from left to right.
When I put the swf file in premier.. the star only goes from left to right.. without the spin...
(the  spin was an animation made inside the movie symbol of the star)
from the forum of flash they send me here.

from the Premiere Pro Help section about importing SWF files:
" Interactive content and scripted animation are not retained. Animation defined by keyframes in the main, top-level movie is retained."

How may I update Flash Player filed under Premiere Elements 7? Secunia Software Inspector detected insecure version 9.0.45.0 in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0\Browser\plugins\NPSWF32.dll. Same for Premier Elements 4. After I updated Flash Player to 10.0.12.37, I still get these "insecure" notices.

    Same thing happened to me.
I just copied the 10 version in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Help Center\Browser\plugins to the Premiere Elements folder you have listed there.
