Flash Over lay problem in Fire fox

In my project i have two flash objects which over lay each
other , one is in wmode as window mode and other is in transparent
mode . Unfortunately i need to present my transparent flash object
over the window mode flash object .due to the tranparent nature of
the flash object it is going behind the window mode flash object .
i need to get it over .. i used "iframe" to display the transparent
flash object over the window mode flash object .... it works fine
in IE , but the same is not working in fire fox ...is there any way
to get this over .... for other browsers

Can we see a link?

  • When ever I print my bank staement from the website it never prints the whole statement , only the part that is visible on the screen . I am using an imac G5 with OS 10.4 and have always had this one problem with Fire fox. Thanks

I think it's the same for other websites as well. That is, that only the visible part of the monitor will print instead of the whole window. I am using the latest upgraded fire fox browser that a non intell I mac G5 can use which is 3.6.8 upgrades above this are not possible

OK - to answer my own question, Apple recommend 8.2.1, but you can install 9.1.1 and it will run on a G3. Very slowly. Looks like this is the only option. Get it here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1036. You need OSX 10.4.11 or later though....

  • Multiple tab problem in Fire Fox, URL pane is not changing

    Open multiple tabs
the url shown in url pane does'nt change but stays which has entered latest one.
the url pane text wont change even when you swap to another tab.

    A couple of possible causes:
First check to see if an add-on is causing this, add-ons can cause problems with the location bar not updating. For details of how to check this see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
The second possible cause is a problem with the file that stores details of bookmarks and browsing history. I don't think this will be the cause in your case, as if there is a problem with that file you will normally get multiple problems. For details on this see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locked_or_damaged_places.sqlite

  • I cannot uninstall fire fox

im having problems with fire fox it seems that it has a virus and i cannot uninstall it from programs and features

According to your installed plugins list in your posting you don't even have Flash installed for Firefox. IE uses a different version of Flash '''(ActiveX)''' than is needed by other browsers '''(Plugin version)'''.

  • Fire fox does not remember my open tabs on restart.

when i close fire fox and then reopen, it doesn't remember my tabs even though i have the latest version. when i restarted our modem because of problems with another computer in our home, the problem with fire fox on my computer was fixed.
i offer this info in case it will help with other post with the same problem.

Tried Firefox Sync ? It's awesome! Switch computers & it saves open tabs , passwords , history . Try it .

  • Fire Fox no longer save my user name and passowrds

I am rebuilding my computer after a drive failure.
Fire Fox no longer will same my log in information for site I frequent requiring me to enter name and password each time I open a site. Fire Fox does some time ask if I want the password saved and I click yes but it has no effect on future site openings.
If I look at Saved Passwords under tools/security/save passwords all of the sites in question are saved there but have no reaction when I attempt to open the site.
A second problem. Fire Fox no longer saves recent site opened atop the tool bar on the lower left that has Run, Document, Programs. It used to save the last 5 or 6 programs used. It now only has HP printer saved.

Make sure that you not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.
    * https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Private+Browsing
    * You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
    * To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting <b>Firefox will: Use custom settings for history</b>
    * Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"
In [[Private Browsing]] mode Firefox won't fill names and passwords automatically and won't offer to store new passwords.

  • Preferences are not saving. Each time I start Fire Fox it acts as if it is my first time starting the program.

Each time I open Fire Fox, it acts as if it is the first time I'm opening the program. The 'Welcome to Fire Fox' first-run page always shows up when I open the program.
None of my preferences, like the custom themes, save - however my bookmarks, which I chose to have transferred over from my previous Fire Fox, seem to be saving.
    I have version 5.01
Also, I tried all of the steps from this help page: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Preferences%20are%20not%20saved?s=settings+don%27t+save+after+firefox+is+closed&as=s
However, I am unable to delete or make changes (such as renaming) the ''Prefs'' file because it keeps telling me that the file is open. However, when ever I go to my task manager there is nothing under the name or description of Fire Fox running. So I can't figure out how to close this file that is supposedly still open.

Which security software (firewall, Anti-virus software) do you have?
Make sure that it isn't locking the .js file(s) in the Firefox Profile Folder

Hi a, Glad you removed Norton. On Skype, go to Tools & Manage add ons. Find any add ons that pertain to
Skype and Disable them. Once these problems have been solved then you can always enable any that have been disabled.
Anytime you lose an Internet connection you will receive those kind of errors. Wireless connections are subject to a loss of signal. I would contact your Carrier and report them.
Any site or game that tells you to update Flash Player, ignore. You did the right thing going to Youtube. If that works, then disregard anything to the contrary. That site is having a problem, not you. Take care not to disrupt your Flash Player Installation!!
On Avast not being able to update would most likely be due to the loss of signal. That Avast updated 3 times is not unusual. That is just a sign of additional risks. I had Avast and during some periods that was done also. No problem.
While you are still in the process of removing programs and troubleshooting, if there are any add ons/plug-ins/extensions that are causing an issue, I would disable them. Once you have your troubleshooting done, then see about them.
On McAfee, didn't that Install with FP at one time? I think you removed that as I recall. You can refer to the instructions I gave you to remove it and make sure it is not there.
    Thanks,

  • Problems running Flash 11.7.700.224 on Fire Fox 22.0

Problems running Flash 11.7.700.224 on Windows 8, browser Fire Fox 22.0. Plug-in crashing and/or not responsive messages; browser hanging and/or slow, especially when opening new windows; You Tube videos error messages; Flash not detected on Adobe Troubleshooting page, even though installed; Flash content loads but does not display in window (no frame, or black or white screen in frame). Thank you for any reply, hopefully simple -I'm not technically inclined.

After using Flash player 11.8.800.94 for one day, it crashed.
So, I uninstalled it using the uninstaller provided by adobe then
    disabled avast then
    reinstalled 11.8.800.94.
Attempted to restart, but got this error message:
The exception unknown software exception (0xe0434352) occurred in the application at location 0x74c02005.
While writing it down, restart reverted to desktop.
Successfully restarted and opened FF22.0 browser and
went here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html#main_Find_the_Flash_ Player_version_installed_on_your_machine to check version.
I could not see the Flash movie, the version checker said that Flash Player is not installed -- even though it shows Shockwave Flash 11.8.800.94 installed on the plugins list on Fire fox add-ons manager.
Is there a difference between Flash Player 11.8.800.94 and the latest Flash Player plugin for Fire Fox, or are they the same thing?
I have no idea how to fix this and not finding any clear answers on any of the other discussion question pages on this topic.
Can anyone from Adobe please help?

Why can't I download adobe flash player in fire fox?

    Hi Vickie,
As Kirsti mentioned, getting your OS and any error message will be helpful.  In addition you might want to review this help document which covers the common installation errors:

My God, what a pain in the arse this is!... Have finally got there after a very stressful few hours... Firstly, click on this very helpful link and follow the instructions, but there's more you have to do too...
    https://botusharov.wordpress.com/2011/01/09/how-to-watch-videos-restricted-in-your-country-using-tor-and-portable-firefox-explained-for-bbc-iplayer-videos/
and when your tor browser is open, go to the tools at the top left and click on 'add-ons' then 'extentions'... in the 'no script' section click 'options' and choose the 'embeddings' tab... uncheck 'forbid Adobe Flash' press 'OK'...
then click the options button for the Torbutton 1.4.4.1 section and choose the 'security settings' tab... uncheck 'disable plugins during tor usage'... then OK...
then simply close it all and restart Tor... it works, 100%... have just managed to upload photos onto facebook in Vietnam after days of failed attempts...

  • When using fire fox I have a problem reading pages from my site. This is a new problem. The format appears to be lost with fire fox but not IE

I have been using FF for several years and well as front page to maintain and upload to my site. As of two days ago I started getting comments that recently updated pages were not readible. I have not changed any settings but have found out that what can not be read in Fire fox can be read just fine in IE

Can you post a link to a public page that doesn't require authentication (log in) to access it?

  • I cannot log onto sites that require my log in and password. I get no error message, fire fox just goes back to the same empty log in screen. this problem is not limited to one site. I reloaded firefox with same results.

When i type in my log in and password and enter, the site either returns to the blank screens or does nothing. This is not limited to one or two sites. all of my financial institutions, electric company, insurance companies, even trying to register here so that i could ask this questions. In this situation, when i hit the register button, nothing happend, its as iff the button is inactive. i had to go to IE to register and post this question. I just tried to enter my new log in and pw on the screen in fire fox and nothing happens. Some sites behave differently when i hit the submit or log in button. the information seems to be transmitted but the screen comes right back to the original log in screen with blank fields. there are no error instructions that something does not match or is missing. then i go to IE and it works.
This started a few weeks ago. I cant identify anything that was added around that time but i tried a system restore and that did nothing. i deleted fire fox and downloaded the latest version 3.6.13 and it is still happening
