Flash 'page flip' into Dreamweaver

I have a site
sheffield-central.com,
from client input indicates that I can make great use of these
(page-flip.com).
I have included a couple of examples in the past with no
problems. However, I had a computer built around 6 moths ago and it
seems to have corrupted something bewteen Dreamweaver and flash.
Let me try to explain. I created a menu for a bar called xyz.
I called the folder for this project xyz and put a folder within
this folder called pages. The pages are xyzpage1.jpg, xyzpage2.jpg
and so on.
Within Flash, I dragged the Premium Flip Component onto the
stage, resized it and began entering the pages as
pages/xyzpage1.jpg etc.
I dragged the whole folder, including the published .swf and
.fla files into the site on Dreamweaver, uploaded the lot and did
the usual Insert...Media...Flash. The movie shows in the
Dreamweaver pages (grey, Flash logo etc.) but that's it. It doesn't
show up when I preview the page and it doesn't show up on the
internet.
A co-worker tried it on his machine and it worked fine.It's
obviously a file path problem. In Dreamweaver, when the 'Select
File' box comes up to insert the Flash movie, I've tried both
'Relative to Document' and 'Relative to Site Root'
I'm totally bewildered, not in any way a newbie but seem to
be missing something obvious.

No sorry. We wanted to purchase one of the flips, but had
questions about it.
They did not answer any emails, and provide no phone number
to call, and no known refund policy.
They are actually breaking the TOS of 2checkout by not
providing this info.
So we did not bu as we have no way too verify if the product
is as good as it looks and which version we need.

HELP! FLash Page flip

Okay
I began as an intern at an agency, but all the designers are
gone and I'm the only one left. I have a problem with a flash
Page-flip component that we are using on our website.
I used flash for the first time ever last week.
I've got the pages sorted and even imported an swf animation
onto a page.
However I need to know how to control the animation so that
it starts when the page it is on is turned, not when the whole book
is loaded. So the viewers see the animation working, when it is
visible.

Can anyone help? I've tried books and miles of coding but I

PDF to Flash - Page Flip

I am looking at the possiblity of DYNAMICALLY converting my
PDF brochures to a Flash PAGE FLIP presenation on the web. I have
many PDF brochures that are created customized for my customers.
When then login to my site, I would like for them to view this PDF
but with a Page Flip view ? Can someone guide me to toolsets that
are available that will make this happen ?

Flash image gallery into dreamweaver cs3

I put a flash image gallery into my web page using dreamweave
cs3 and every things working but the images from the image gallery
do not show up. How do I connect the images to the flash file in
dreamweaver.

Getting a 404 error for

attempting to load that file and cannot find it.
Did you upload home.swf and any other relavent files to the
root of
www.jenspaeth.com? Or is it supposed to be in the "Jen Site"
folder?

Integrating Flash HTML5 animation into Dreamweaver?

I've done a little work with Edge Animate and found it simple to implement an animation into Dreamweaver. However, my latest animation had to be done in Flash (plus I know that software a little better) and I notice CC now has an HTML5 canvas.
So if I create an animation in Flash CC on an html5 canvas, how would I go about using that on a dreamweaver page?
Or would I be better off asking in the flash forums?

Edge Animate has auto insertion features in DW. Unfortunately, there is no such provision for Flash HTML5 animations yet. So you must do it manually in code view. Take the Flash compiled code and insert the relevant parts into your existing HTML5 document. Ensure that paths to JavaScripts and CSS files are correctly pointing to your site folder and not files:/// on your hard drive.
Flash/SWF is not supported on mobile devices/tablets. That's why Flash/SWF is a dead web technology.

Importing Flash Catalyst file into Dreamweaver

Is it possible to import or use a swf file created in Flash Cataylst into Dreamweaver?

Yes, Flash Catalyst content can be used in Dreamweaver. However, the version of swfObject might be out of date. You might need to look at the object code in the html. When you publish from Flash Catalyst, there is also a main.html file that you can use a reference for the html.

Url link in flash page flip book

I am very inexperienced at what I am trying to accomplish.
I have created a flip book in flash. On a page in the book I made a button that is a link to an external url. When I place the the swift file of that page on my webstie, the link works. I have made a link from my homepage to the flipbook. But when I open the flip book the url link does not work.
Does anyone out there know what's wrong?

If the flip page the swf is in has interactive code asigned to it, such as whatever you use to flip the page, it could be blocking access to any clickable objects in the swf file.

Flash Catalyst into Dreamweaver to make Wordpress Theme??

No. Please read the Wordpress pages on how to create and modify themes. None of that has anything to do with just opening a file of whatever type in DW nor FC.

PDF Page Flip Feature Request

Flip books have become popular over the past years and I would like to see the ability to flip through pdf's with a page turn option. This could be a view with a one page or two page layout. This functionality would not have to have the robust rendering that a true Flash page flip book has but just an animated quick flip, much like you see on common book readers. I know this is a small thing but it makes a big difference in perception when one is scrolling through a PDF verses reading through it like a book. Is this feature a current consideration?

+1 For that Feature Request . Everybody will be happy to see pdf contents in ''page flip" mode (except Adobe programmers).

HELP!!! My flash video skin isn't showing up or working when i put it into dreamweaver, please help.

When I export my flash project, and import it into dreamweaver, i go to the trailer page and the video, one, won't give me the skin to hit play, stop, pause, rewind, volume, etc. and two, when you travel to another page it continues to play the movie in the background. Can someone please help me fix these issues please!

Inserting FLASH into Dreamweaver cs3

I am trying to build a VERY basic website in Dreamweaver. Using their single fixed column, centered,template, i would like to ad 2 flash items, a menu and small movie, in to he top of the column. (Both flash items are larger than the column with, if that matters,i was going to resizxe them nce i got this part of the cose correct)
For some reason the flash movie shows in my Dreamweaver preview, but not when i load it live online @ www.srg-buffalo.com.

I have no idea what I am doing wrong, i thought it was pretty simple, there is no flash block via my go daddy host.

I uploaded both saved .SWF documents to the Scripts directory.
There was also a Scripts dirrectory saved with index.html, in this directory was the AC_RunActiveContent.js file,any thoughts on that?
i uploaded it to scripts,along witht he others, and the space dedicatd to the flash events is there, but they are not showing.

When you insert the SWF, you shouldn't have to actual type anything - it's a browse and select process and will automatically enter the correct path to the SWF. Then you have to upload the page and the SWF file. This next part I think has changed in later versions of DW, but in CS3 I'm pretty sure the process will also create a folder named Scripts. This folder along with it's contents also need to be uploaded.

Flash animation into dreamweaver

hey everyone, i'm new at both flash and dreamweaver and currently have a project combining the two together and i really cant work it out (i'm even using html instead of css haha) :/
Anyway, what i want to do is have a zipper (as in a zipper on ones clothes) on my main page and when someone puts their mouse over the zip, it zips down and reveals the text for that page.
I have gone into photoshop and started editing a zipper at different stages of being pulled down, but am stuck as to how i'd
a) link it together on flash/what type of file to save it as?
b) put the actual code into dreamweaver
c) have it actually working functionally to reveal my text underneath.

Once you are able to create the animation in Flash, you can have Flash publish both the swf file, which is what goes into the web page, and an html file. You can copy the code from the Flash html file into the Dreamweaver file wherever you intend the Flash file to be inserted.

Centre flash animation into dreamweaver

I am a complete beginner with Dreamweaver, and having great
problems fixing the size of a flash animation I'm playing as an
intro. I have managed to get the animation in and it centred, but
when I tested it on another computer I noticed it had stretched and
for some reason it was possible to minimise the animation by using
the + and - signs whilst in the browser window. How can I prevent
this from happening, so no matter what machine you view from it
keeps the size and position the same.
Any advice will be much appreciated.

Help w/ Flash Object inserted into DW page

Hi,
I'm using DW MX2004 on a Pwrbk G4. I created a Flash object
(a page-flipping gallery) in Flash, and while it previews fine in
Flash MX'04 (size of the .swf in pixels, I WANT it to be 1050 W
& 713 H so the page is big enough to view well on a browser and
the pages can flip correctly), once the object is inserted into DW,
it isn't showing up as the same size. The default size in DW is 550
x 440 I think, and when I try to change the dimensions--even to the
exact size it was in Flash--the images once previewed are always
distorted or the preview shows only part of the image and the pages
aren't flipping (this, I believe b'cos the entire .swf movie isn't
displayed so the corners can be dragged/clicked). I know I'm doing
something wrong or missing some step, can someone help?

I am not sure what exactly you are experiencing but it sound
like something somewhat similar to what I recently went through. I
tried to embed a swf in my HTML page using DW and there was a
border that would appear that was not there in FLash. I eventually
found a setting in Flash Publish settings that said " no border "
...this was under the "HTML" settings in the Publish settings
dialog box. I published my html page and then cut most of the code
from that page and manually embed it in my Dw html page. Kind of
pain but it worked.
Try publishing the HTML page from flash and then viewing that
page in DW and see if your swf is the right size. It may be that
you can't use DW to Embed your SWF.

Swf's/flash,banners When Importing Into Dreamweaver Put Out Slices..

Hi guys/gals
I think im doing it wrong or missing something, even have a funny feeling i might have to use some css? Not really sure.
My problem is after i have saved my move,banner - when imported into dreamweaver it puts all the slices out of whack ?
I cant find anywhere to import it into my photoshop layout, can't "Bring to front" in dream weaver <- ? :/
I have searched everywhere and I can't find with my terms what im looking for..I figure if nothing is coming up then im going about this
the wrong way

Slicing images from a photoshop comp and then creating a web page from them is never a good idea, and will present many compatibility problems for you. A better alternative is to use css based layouts, this does not mean that you must forget what you have done in photoshop just that the procedure is probably slightly more complex for someone who has not used css layouts before,
