Flash Page Turn etc

I want to create a page turn effect in Flash, but not just
simply that... I want the user to be able to search the text, links
to be active... Am I better off just using Flash Paper?

A quick right-click tells me it's done with a program called
iPaper. I'd have a quick look at their site or consider purchasing
their product as it's often easier not to reinvent the
wheel.

First of all apologies as this isn't strictly an Indesign itself question - more the end product of Indesign brochure query.
Can anyone recommend a particular professional PDF to Flash page turning book effect software. I've googled but there's a fair few out there and not sure which to go for. Anyone recommend a software in particular or know if any have been approved by Adobe? This is following a request by corporate client of mine but I'm stuck on which one is best to go for.

eDocker is not a PDF to Flash FlipPage software, it´s more like InDesign to Flash FlipPage solution, but it´s aproved by Adobe.

Can I view the same pdf on multiple iPads at the same time with 1 iPad operating as the master (controlling page turns etc)?

Would like to use 4nr iPads as an autocue system. Open the document in Acrobat Reader and use the menu Window > New Window.

Just tried exporting an ID file using the swf export settings but it does seems to be just be limited to a page curl effect. Is good but not quite what I'm after. What I need is something that produces page turns, zoom in and out options, a 'go to locked pdf' version and a print option that prints from the pdf and not the swf. Not sure this can be done in the ID export menu? I might be missing something though - so really after recommendations on software that would let me to do this to a pdf but not sure which would be best choice out of the options that are out there.
Really appreciate your help.

Flash page-turn quality

Ho do I maintain image quality in a flash page-turn. I create the pages in InDesign and export as a swf file then import to flash. Once I export the movie from flash the images are degraded. Especially noticable in zoom mode.

Limitations of indesign flash page turner

Hello,
We have a company newsletter that we wish to launch digitally as a document that can be:
a) be viewed as spreads
b) incorporate a realistic page turning action
c) has a zoom function.
InDesign has a function that will turn the PDF into a Flash file where the page turning function works. Unfortunately, there is no zooming option, and when viewers click on the page (the text is too small in this format), it opens up a PDF of that particular side of the spread, defeating the purpose of a special format where you can turn pages realistically. There is a program called Page Turn Pro which incorporates all of these functions, but it is very expensive, at hundreds of dollars per year. Are there any other alternatives out there?

hi, i've been searching for hours for a good tutorial on how to create a page turn in flash, i've already used google for so many different kinds of searches, including ' "flash page turn tutorial" '. i'm wanting something similar to this but i want to create it from scratch because i like having the satisfaction of knowing that i and i alone created it. i don't mind using xml as long as that's incorporated into the tutorial. any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

If I start a new document in pages and then try to share this document with the top ring link in pages "share Link via iCloud" a screen notification tells me to "Set Up iCloud. Go to Settings and select iCloud. Sign in and turn on iCloud Drive for Page".
When I go to settings I see that I am signed in.
Please help as I need the documents back on my ipad.

Did you have iCloud photo stream turned on for photos? If you did, then you can view your photos at iCloud.com. If you can verify that they are all there, you can do the factory reset. Once you turn on iCloud again after the reset, the photos won't be on the phone but they will still be in the photo stream which you can view on the device. You should be able to copy the photos down to the computer from iCloud. On an Apple Mac computer, iPhoto can view photo stream and you can download photos there too.
Personally, with syncing issues with iTunes, I prefer to use an app called PhotoSync (which is an app in the App Store, Mac App Store, and available from the developer's website for Windows PC's. This App (once turned on for both devices) lets you send photos back and forth within wifi.

Can you automate 'page turn' transition when exporting a document to Flash?

I have created a multi-page document with a page turn transition which I have exported to Flash to upload to a website. The page turning works fine manually but I want to automate the effect, remaining on each page for 30 seconds before automatically turning. Is there a way of doing this? Any advice gratefully recieved!

Only if you export using File > Export > Adobe PDF (Interactive). Not if you're using File > Export > Adobe PDF (Print),

Not an expert, but would think you still get 508 compliance by the normal PDF reader controls -- the page curls are visual extras only.
I understand these 'techniques' perfectly -- but they sure seem awkward.
- why doesn't InDesign properly emit the combination page turner PDF in one step?
- why doesnt InDesign show the actual background of the embedded Flash animation as it will be, and why doesn't it allow you to set background transparency right there in InDesign, again showing you what the result will be?
I hope this is done in such a straightforward and clear way, in InDesign CS6.

Realistic Page Turn Effects from a PDF document

Is there a way to create animated page turn effects from within Acrobat or in combination with Flash?
I would like to create books, magazines, brochures that have hot links to other pages within the same document, web links, and multimedia capabilities, but which display animated page turns. Something along the style of http://page-flip.com/products.htm
Ideally, I would like to create the documents in various programs, and then turn them into a PDF with the hot links and multimedia capabilities. I then want them to display as a Flash video with the animated, realistic page turn effects, along with pagination and zoom controls.
There are software programs available that will do this but they cost big $$$$. Is there a way to export/print/save a PDF file to a SWF format and automatically have the page turn effects added?
I have CS4 with Acrobat Pro and Flash Pro. I found a couple of Flash extension that appear to do this but they are clumsy to use and I am not very experienced with Flash and ActionScript. I am looking for an easy way to accomplish this, hopefully, right from within Acrobat.

Adobe CS5 support animated Flash and movies in PDF files, you can visit the home page for detail. When it comes to convert PDF to SWF with Page-Flip effect, Adobe didn't work that good. I recommend convert online at http://www.axmag.com/submit.html , this seems to be free.

Can you add page turning to a pdf?

I have added dynamic link to my contents page and would like to add a 'page turning' effect at the foot of each page - a sort of animated book. Can I achieve this using Acrobat Professional?

Not possible. Whenever you see that effect it's been done in Flash.

Problem installing RAM (flashing power light, etc.)

Hi everyone.
I have been spending the last 2 hours trying to install this OCX Ram (2x1GB) into my PowerMac G5 Dual 2.5. Before installation, I just had the 2x512 Apple memory.
After installing the RAM following instructions from Apple's website, I turned on the computer and the power light just flashes twice, pauses, flashes twice, pauses, etc. I read that this could mean either the RAM is bad or installed incorrectly. I tried repositioning the ram in several different slots, but to no avail. Below is the link to the RAM from the site I bought it from. It seems like it would be compatible to me (A user review claiming to have used this model in his/her 1.8 1st Gen G5 claims it works fine).
To make matters worse, I took the new RAM and out and put the original RAM in their original positions and I still get the double blinking light! Can someone please help!

When I searched, I came up with Newegg Patriot Memory $228, same price as Crucial. If you want to exchange.
The memory you have has heat spreaders, which you shouldn't need, not that it is causing problem.
It isn't Mac compatible, lacks SPD the Mac needs usually.
You need to reset-nvram when changing hardware configuration usually. Manufacturing changes so even Crucial sometimes runs into problems with compatibility. Where two batches don't work together.
If you have a G5 2.5DP, memory based on someone else's system, with slower fsb and different specs?
