Flash piece not appearing on macs, help!

my client says the flash animation on the following page is
not appearing on her mac, can anyone check it? maybe tell me the
problem? please!!!

You're welcome. It's how I learned, too.
Think of it this way. The final page assembled by the server
and uploaded
to the browser can only contain a single set of properly
terminated <html>,
<head>, and <body> tags. This means that NONE of
those tags can be present
both in the parent page and in the include files.
Furthermore, if you want
to work with DW, you cannot have any of those tags in the
include files,
although it is theoretically possible to have a <head>
or <body> in them.
DW will barf if it sees that, however.

Cannot upgrade adobe flash player (failed to initialize), shockwave flash does not appear as a plug in

various web sites stated that I needed to update adobe flash player. I clicked on link and followed instructions, then received the message "installation encountered errors - failed to initialize". So far, I have uninstalled previous versions of flash player and checked my plug ins. Noticed that Shockwave flash does not appear in my plug in list and adobe states that this needs to be active for their flash player.
I am on Windows XP and Firefox version 8.

I did read the post. I was simply explaining that Contacts does not sync with the OTA Sync function, it syncs via iCloud if you want to sync wirelessly....
The OTA Sync option on the Info page has nothing to do with the iCloud syncing of your Contacts....
Try deleting your iCloud account on your iPhone and signing on again. Once you have signed iCloud back on, make sure all the options you want checked are checked, and then try it again. (When you delete it, you will get a message that it will delete your Photo Stream and Document but don't worry, when you sign back on, they will come back).

My Help Viewer is not working for mac help

My Help viewer is not working for mac help. Everytime i choose mac help the window opens then closes. But when i open another help like safari help it opens and works fine. If i switch it back to mac help the window just closes and the application quits.

HELP! Error message after itunes 10.2 update + ipad will not appear on Macs

Everything was fine until I tried to update to 10.2. Error message appeared and ipad lost sync. Now ipad does not show on computer when itunes opens. Also ipad missing several apps from screen.
How/why the heck did this happen????

See this support document for error codes. Resolve iOS update and restore errors - Apple Support The 39 does not appear, but there is a 37 and 40, so I would believe it is close to that.
If you are having trouble updating, you need to check this support document for that. You may need to put the device into Recovery Mode.
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
It could also be the security software on the Windows PC. Another question, is the device jailbroken?

2G shuffle flashing and not appearing

Hi, my new 2G shuffle, connected to an e-mac running 10.3.9 does not appear in i-tunes or on the desktop. It's connected (I pushed it down on the dock after reading some answers here!) and is flashing orange to tell me to eject it before disconnecting. But I have no icon anywhere that I can eject! I don't want to randomly unplug it.

Mine too is a little flaky about being seen, especially in Finder. I have found that by pressing firmly on the little shuffle and kind of gently rolling it on the connector with my finger (I am assuming this creates a better contact at the headphone jack) the little dude shows up.
Another piece of advice I've seen is to try another USB port.
That said, sometimes you have to just pull the little bugger out and reinsert it, even though the computer complains that you unmounted a device improperly. Hey, that's life.
Lastly, it seems like the shuffle on/off switch position has some effect on how the 2G is seen and works in iTunes. I have not investigated this effect in detail yet.

Flash will not install on Mac OS X.5.7.

Attachment will not open without Flash. Download is successful. menu indicated installation was successful but app does not show up in APPs, therefore attachment will not open. hardrive, applications, Utilities folder, Disk utility, then selected the hard drive and clicked "repair disc permissions". apparently this repairs parts of HD and I wanted to try to install FP10 after. Still didn't work, and I got the same message. SO I WENT AND GOOGLED "shockwave flash and went to the Adobe page to DOWNLOAD SHOCKWAVE PLAYER.

Ok, now what EXACTLY is the appliance and IOS version? The only time I know of this bug is the Metro Ethernet (ME) switches and when the current appliance is upgraded FROM an IOS version 15.2(1)S.
But there is a "workaround" which Cisco doesn't want to publish (don't ask me why not): Use "archive tar /x" and, optionally, delete the old IOS sub-directory.
Personally, I wouldn't recommend anyone using the "copy the BIN file" method unless you know what you are doing or you've put extra measures in place. The "archive /x tar" and/or "archive download-sw" was developed so that it could be automated and the operator can see the result at the end. The "copy the BIN file" method doesn't give anyone a result whether or not the file was copied or not or was the file copied completely.
Regularly, I would upgrade our switches (2960/2960S, ME-3800X, 3560E/3560CG, 3750X) fleet using the "archive download-sw" method and I don't use scripts. I just copy-and-paste the command. So far, since 2009, I've "lost" only 6 switches when I upgraded the switch to upgrade the wrong file (another IOS bug on it's own) and I had to physically show up and upgrade using ROMmon. Every time I would upgrade, about 900 switches (some in a stack), it would take me about 4 days. Even though I work with three guys who's very good at almost any scripting but we've come to a unanimous conclusion NOT to use scripting.
Moving on, if "copy the BIN file" is still a preferred choice, I would like to know how do you go about verifying the file was copied completely? Whenever I resort to the "copy the BIN file", I ensure the file copied is complete by verifying the MD5 hash value against the MD5 hash value found in the Cisco website. Trust me, adding this additional "layer" of security saved me doing ROMmon upgrade so many times.

TS3638 Sign in window does not appear in Mac App Store.

I have been trying to work this out for a week or so. I already tried verifying and repairing disk permissions, as well as deleting the com.apple.appstore.plist file. Whenever I click the sign-in button (featured page or purchases page) nothing happens. I don't have FruitMenu or APE installed. There doesn't seem to be any help on Apple Support other than this: Mac App Store: Sign in sheet does not appear, or does not accept typed text. I have also tried downloading an app that I had previously purchased, to see if the log-in would come up, and nothing. Please Help!

Blackberry does not appear on Mac desktop etc.

I downloaded the Blackberry Desktop Manager program for my MacBook 4,1 - Mac OS X 10.5.8 (9L31a) - and while the program is thoroughly a let down, I thought the capability to have the Blackberry appear in the Finder would be a useful workaround to send photos and media between the device and my laptop. Unfortunately this did not work either, as the Blackberry does not appear anywhere on my desktop when connected.
Yes, the Blackberry Desktop Manager appears when I connect my new Curve 8350, but for some reason RIM has not been able to create a Pictures folder within the program yet? Verizon has of course has forced the hand of RIM to disable the available user RAM, making slightly tech saavy users purchase a microSD card but to force the masses to purchase all their media from VZ tones. I suppose I can live with this but in the meanwhile it would be great if any of you Blackberry geniuses out there could help me get my Blackberry Curve 8350 to appear on my desktop...for now.

Flash menu not appearing in Captivate 4

Gentlefolk;
I am evaluating the Captivate 4 trial version and ran into a problem.
I cobbled together a quickie menu in Flash which works fine in C4.
However, seeking a more elegent solution, I created another menu using a Flash menu generator (Antssoft) which works fine in a browswer and in a Flash player, but does NOT appear in C4. I see a Flash bounding box on the page, but when viewed in browser mode or by a standard preview, there is just a blank page.
I have tried variations on my theme with the menu: changing the filename to .flv so it could be imported as a Flash object, I have used the original .swf extenstion and imported as an animation, but all with the same results.
Suggestions? Is Captivate a beast in which one needs to build any type of menu within a Captivate project itself,and it really doesn't like external menus?

What do you mean cobbled together a quickie flash menu?
Was it something you actually built in flash to control the captivate swf, such as an animation you placed on the stage or a widget object you built?
Yes...Captivate is a beast, well at first. There are only so many variables/functions you are allowed to play around with, although with some more digging you may be able to find some more in the class files for captivate.
I am not sure if you are stil in need of help with this or not, let me know.

(Continuity) Caller Id name not appearing in mac

Hi every body
I face problem with some calls, the Caller Id name sometimes not appearing in incoming call for mac (Continuity) only numbers.
Please note that all the calls i get it has name in my contacts and it's already in iPhone and mac contacts app.
Any ideas how to fix it.

What I found that Avaya side is configured for Qsig ; Basic Supplementary Services is not enabled (System Parameter & Customer options) .
I also found this document ( http://www.svcc.cc.il.us/UserMenu/employees/telephone/images/buttons.pdf Page 362) about Supplementary Service protocol value which most likely change which Qsig Avaya side use.

Device not detected in iTunes for Windows

After I covert my excel file to PDF, my images are cut off or not appearing at all HELP?!

Hello!
I am creating a Exel Work book and converting it to a PDF file (easy to share online).
Once I convert the Excel Work book, some of my images are cut off or not appearing at all.
Which I find weird because some images pop up just fine.
These images are originally flats from Adobe Illustrator I converted to pictures with Excel.
So why is that when I convert my workbook to a PDF file some images show through and others don't?
