Flash Player 10.1 disconnects me from internet!!!! Ahhhh!

Hey there!
I have a huge problem since flash player 10.1 came out!
Everytime i want to watch a flashmovie it stops loading immediately and shortly after my internet connection tells me that i have no longer access to my actual network anymore.
The only thing that works is to restart my pc and not to watch flashmovies or start flash applications online.
Downloading and surfing from sites is no problem at all not even online gaming. It just happens if i want to watch movies with the flash player online.
I have windows 7 64bit and a nforce 590 sli amd chipset with nvidia network controllers. I even tried different driver settings cause there are some issues with the official driver for the chipset and networking controller concerning games like modern warfare 2 and its nat usage. but no chance every driver setting also leads to the same result :/
i hope somebody knows this issue and has already a solution

hi, i am having the same problem except with windows vista, any help is greatly appreciated.

Chrome uses a different and separate plug-in.
There are things about IE you need to know, especially 11. Specifically:
    "User-Agent Strings"
That doesn't mean a lot, I'm sure, but it's the root of your problems, and Flash Player has nothing to do with it.
Microsoft "rewrote" the User-Agent Strings for the abomination they call their latest and greatest browser. User-Agent Strings are what websites use to identify the browser you're using and provide the proper content for it's browser engine, like ActiveX stuff, and Flash or HTML5 video. Thanks to the geniuses in Redmond, WA, the User-Agent Strings for IE11 (which has a Trident engine), ID it as either "Gecko" (Firefox) or "Webkit" (Chrome). Problem is: when the site the directs to the content for one of these two engines, the Trident engine in IE can't intepret it and the site then sees IE as an "unidentified" browser.
The problem with an unidentified browser is that the plug-ins in that browser aren't recognized either, so even though you're up to date, it says you need the latest Flash Player when you use IE11. YouTube... has converted to HTML5 video so if it doesn't detect Flash Player, it can display HTML5 (MP4) video which requires no plug-in to play. Facebook can't do that, because HTML5 doesn't apply to games... only video.
Microsoft has no plans to "fix" the mess they've created because they think it's a great idea to block you out of the websites you visit.
They recommend using "Compatibility View" and pretending that you're using an older verison of IE... Problem with that is that it's seen limited success, and you have to enable it for EVERY page that has problems... individually.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

You haven't actually asked a question, but as stated you should only download Flash Player directy from Adobe.
Nor have you said what version of OS X and Safari you are running.
You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3 or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.0.1.152 is for Lion.
    * Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC Macs, you need to go here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html  and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

  • Flash Player 9 script stopping me from accessing chat

    Hi everyone,
I have an iMac OS X 10.3.9 (Panther, PPC G3) I am running Firefox 2 and Flash Player 9. Flash Player works ok for everything (a little slow though with videos), except it won't work for my online chat community. When I log in it initializes, authenticates and immediately gives this error "A script in flash player is causing this movie to run slow, if it continues your computer may become unresponsive. Would you like to abort the script?" If I click YES it only loads a quarter of the chat window, if I click NO it loads the whole window and I get about 8 lines of chat flashing on screen, then it disconnects from the server. I have tried uninstalling Flash Player, reinstalling it....changing integers in about:config to the highest timeout...emptying cache and cookies..checking firewall settings...checking port settings... Nothing works. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I volunteer with this online community and need to be able to get into chat.
    Thanks,
    Milo

    Thank you for replying,
I did not create this script. I had gotten this iMac from a pawn shop..no browser...I went to another location, downloaded Firefox 2, burned it to cd, installed it on this iMac and needed the updated Flash Player and Java. I found Flash Player 9 and updated Java. My chat community added a new flash chat ( I think it is PPV) instead of html chat and now I cannot access it. It has been 5 months since I could get oline with them because of this Flash Player script error. I am at a loss as of what to do.  The error comes from Flash Player 9.."A movie in Flash Player 9 is running slow, if it continues to run your computer may become unresponsive..would you like to abort script?"  I would greatly appreciate any help you could give me as to how to fix this problem.
    Thank You,
    Milo
And btw, your statement about infinite loop sounds right on...is there any way I could fix that? Or do I need to change some other setting with Flash Player? Perhaps download a fix?

  • How does Flash Player projector/standalone connect to the Internet

I know that when a web service call is made from a flash player in the browser that the underlying browser is used to handle the traffic.  I also know that this isn't the case with flash projector because the security docs say that the projector files can't take advantage of SSL because they aren't run in the context of the browser.  So what mechanism does a standalone or projector application use to connect to the Internet?  I'm trying to analyze a possible application for someone from a security point of view, but I'm not sure what mechanism is in place.
Thanks to anyone who knows or even knows of some decent references.  I can't find much on projectors....

As far as I know, the standalone player does not connect to the Internet - it just plays local Flash content.
Or can you actually give it an Internet (http) location to play?  (I do not currently have Projector installed, so I cannot try it.)

  • Flash Player Plugin tries to access the internet upon arriving at account login pages

    Firefox 24.0
Adobe Flash Player Plugin 11.8 r800
    Firewall software: ZoneAlarm
My firewall is set to "Manual Control" and I get warnings for all Internet access attempts.
Firefox is already granted outgoing access to the Internet, so I surf without additional warnings. So if I go to YouTube, I can watch the videos without receiving a prompt from my Firewall.
However when I visit a secure account login page (where I have to enter my user ID and PW) the Firewall warns me that "Firefox is trying to use Adobe Flash Player 11.8 r800 to access the Internet".
A prompt like this is provided by the Firewall when one program uses another to access the Internet. If for example I click on a link in MS Excel, the firewall will tell me that Excel is trying to use Firefox to access the Internet.
    What makes me concerned is:
    1) Firefox already has access privileges. It should not need to "use Flash to access the internet"
    2) This occurs when I'm about to use the keyboard to enter sensitive data into a secure page
    3) There are no [apparent] Flash elements on the login pages.
Could I have acquired a malicious Flash software that tries to collect keystrokes and transmit them somewhere? Is there a way to show (in Firefox) which Flash file is working at any given time? (This would let me identify what's making the attempt to access)
I am fully protected with Antivirus, Antispam, and breach prevention software. I also ran Norton Power Eraser to see if there was anything at Root level. Nothing found.
Thank you, in advance for your feedback.

Pages can use Flash even when there is no video displayed. For example some sites use Flash for menus, some for audio, and some may load Flash in their Google Analytics scripts so they know as much as possible about your system.
In most cases, the Flash player will be trying to load a .SWF file, although that may not always be obvious. You could look for it in Firefox's Web Console.
While viewing the page, press Ctrl+Shift+k, the reload the page. If there is a request for Flash media from the page, it should appear in the console (if the request is held up by your firewall, it nevertheless should appear as a pending request). There is a search/filter box where you could try entering .swf to reduce the time needed to scan through the list. Can you find the URL of the requested file? That might or might not make you comfortable about the request.

  • Flash Player works in Safari but not Internet Explorer 9

I've installed Flash Player 10.3 and it works in Safari but not Internet Explorer 9. When I look in Manage Add-Ins I see Flash Shockwave but not Flash Player. My operating system is Windows Vista Ultimate (32bit). Safari is 5.0.5 and IE 9 is 9.0.8112.16421. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Flash Player and uninstalling Norton 360. Nothing has worked so far. Can you help?

Thank you for your reply. Shockwave is loaded and enabled.
The files in flash directory are: a folder called FlashPlayerTrust: file, flash10q.ocx: file, FlashInstall.log; file, FlashUtil10q_ActiveX.dll; file, FlashUtil10q_ActiveX.exe, file, install.log.
    There is no file: NPSWF32.dll.
When I test the browsers I get no spinning logo in either Safari or IE9. Safari says: missing plug-in, where I think the logo should be. IE-9 says nothing at the same location.
    Thanks.

  • Flash player not installing on Firefox or Internet explorer...

I downloaded firefox as my alternate web browser. I play games and things of the like on my laptop, which is a Toshiba Satellite C655 (I'm pretty sure it is ). My flash player works on Google Chrome, but not on Internet Explorer or FireFox. Any help? I've downloaded it (or so it says) 4 times since Sunday night, but everytime I go to play the game, the game says I need to install adobe flashplayer. And this is multiple games so it isn't the game.

Yes, I have downloaded and installed it. My windows version is Windows 7, I don't know what you mean by edition hmm, do you think it's the ActiveX thing people have been having trouble with? It is in those two folders. these are what are in the folder:
