Flash Player 10 will NOT install.

I cannot get Flash Player to install. I tried installing Flash Player 10 on my Windows XP (w/Service Pack 2) computer and keep getting a "Failed to Install" message about 1/3 thu the installation. I followed all of the installation instructions and even uninstalled my previous version as recommended. Now I have no Flash Player at all. Has anyone else had this problem?

Help for Flash player that will not install

Flash player won't install on Dell with Mozilla Firefox version 33.0 for Yahoo 1.32. It does not matter what I try or even if I delete all old flash player files, folders etc. The download goes as far as the black box where it should be installing and just freezes there. I have pretty much tried everything to get it t0 install, including your troubleshooter. I also checked on Firefox and there is no available plug in download for the flash player. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and that will still not work. I tried to download using just Internet Explore 11 and that wont work either. It saves the file and I can make it run, but it goes directly to the black box fr Adobe flash player installation and is blank and will not go any further. help please!!!

I read your post about having difficulty downloading flash player 10 but that you also were able to fix the problem. I use IE8 and my operating system is XP Professional SP3. I'm hoping that you can answer a question for me.
In the troubleshooting tip issued by Adobe one of the things to do was to check my sercuity program. I use Norton and currently Adobe Flash player isn't in the list of allowed programs under my internet settings. My question is, would it be ok to drop the executable file of the Flash Player that is currently on my desk top, drop it into the programs file? There is a folder with all of the other Adobe programs in it because then I could select and add to the allowed programs in my Norton.
I hope someone can answer this for me.

Adobe Flash Player 13 will not install

Adobe Flash Player 13 keeps crashing. Where is "home" directory to remove the preferences to complete an uninstall of Flash player?

Download and run the Flash uninstaller from Adobe here:

Then try the installation again.

Flash Player 11 will not install on Windows 7

I have tried EVERY option in trying to get version 11 installed - even system restore - all I get is this error (see image below) I use Dell Inspiron 1501, AMD Turion 64 x2 Mobile Technology, 2GB RAM, Windows 7 Pro, SP1. IE9 and Google Chrome is installed. I use IE9 for Windows and development purposes.
Has anyone actually been able to resolve this?

There's nothing to prevent you from reverting to a previous version if you wish. Older versions are archived here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html
But you'll have to use the uninstaller to remove the newer version first: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
However, a newer version of Flash is expected shortly to address the vulnerability recently posted all over the web: http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1026392
Needless to say, if you revert to 10, you'll be exposing your system to that vulnerability.
UPDATE:
If you're using a security product with optional shields enabled, disable them before you run the uninstall/installer. Most of these incorporate file scanners which spring into action as soon as you attempt to install or uninstall an executable. This interferes with the installation process which leads to corruption further down the line.
If you use AVAST antivirus, right click the orange icon in the systray and choose to disable all shields for one hour. Here are a couple of instances where this approach worked:

Adobe Flash Player Installer Will Not Work

As the title suggests, my adobe flash player will not install on my Mac Book Pro.
About 3 weeks ago my computer started saying I needed to upgrade my Flash Player for it to watch videos. So I tried.
I went to Adobe.com and tried installing the Flash player, the file its self downloads fine, but when I try to run the installer It gets stuck at 30% every. Single. Time.
I tried uninstalling Flash player, turning plug ins on and off, no luck.
I was running 10.8.5 OS the other day on my mac, and decided to upgrade to OS Yosemite today to see if that would solve the issue, no luck.
I'm all out of ideas, please help.

I have a Windows 7 workstation with IE9 that will not install the plugin. I have used the Adobe uninstaller rebooted installed with a saved copy of Flash player but it will not install the Plugin.

I wonder how apple did not come up with a warning when you start the insatllation that would tell you that it would not work with an encrypted disk. These sorts of warnings should be standard procedure. Whatever, finally the red number disappeared. Thanks lemach again!
One small addition: After turning file wault off, you need to reboot before starting the update, otherwise the decryption does not take effect.

Flash Professional CS6 will not install

I keep receiving the error message: Installation Failed. Installation encountered an error. Please restart your system and try again. (15)
I have restarted twice and still the application will not install. My MacMini meets the system requirements necessary to run the software.

Flash player 64 bit not installing properly

I have not been able to use flash player on my windows 7 64 bit computer. It kept showing up in the computer settings as flash player 32 bit and the flash player does not work on my laptop. Any suggestion?

You need to provide more details; "not able" and "not work" doesn't mean anything. Also, what browser do you use?
Flash Player will automatically install both 32-bit and 64-bit versions on a 64-bit system; you cannot get only a 32-bit version on a 64-bit system.

Flash 10.1 will not install!

I have a new win7 x 64 equipped computer. I use firefox as my preferred browser. I got a message to update to a new version of firefox and did so. I was then prompted to uninstall the version of flash player I had and get the new version. I did that only to be told by adobe installer that install failed. (your site says otherwise but it is not in my program list... why?) I have been trouble shooting using every suggestion on this website and get nowhere. so what now? adobe will not actually help unless I pay for it, way to back up your software! I guess I will have to find a "second tier" flash playing solution that will work with firefox. I would rather not do that so if there is anyone here with ideas, please share. thanks.

Hi, What site advised you to Uninstall the version of Flash Player you had and get the new version? Did you mean that you received a prompt from Adobe Flash Player on your Desktop asking if you wanted to Install the update? I'm sure you know that Flash Player is not supported on the 64bit system but you need to use the 32bit browser, which is the default.
Do you have Flash Player Installed in IE8?
You may want to test here; first using FF(Firefox) and then using IE:

I can not view the flash player 8 swf in Internet Exployer 6.
I can view player 7 and can view the player 8 in another computer
but not my main development computer. Anyone else having this

Have you blocked a component called ''plugin_container.exe'' with your firewall by any chance? Check the logs.
Try downloading the [http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html Flash Player Uninstaller]
Next, reboot and then go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ It should give you the option to install it immediately without the need to download it.
Be aware though that when you run the uninstaller, it will also remove Flash from IE8 (or 9), so if you use either of those, you'll have to go to the same site again and download it from within Internet Explorer.

Flash Player 10 will NOT install.
