Flash player 11.5.502.149 will not install, states that the version of flash is not the most current

I'm using the runtime (install_flash_player_11_active_x.exe) install for Flash 11.5.502.149 which I just downloaded.  I'm trying to install it on a Windows 7 64bit system.  When I try to run it the install tells me that the version of flash is not the most current and I should download the most recent version.  Accorsing to the site, this is the most recent version.  Any thoughts?
Thaks,
Keith

By the time I saw this, the OS was corrupt.  This isn't going to help me right npw.  One very important item, though, for those of us who use the runtime to install, it needs to be modified so that it doesn't look for a newer version of the install before it actually installs.  We use Altiris to push this out to our folks and that check causes the installation process to stop.  My guess is that it is waiting for a response which will never occur since it is running in a hidden window.  I agree that it needs to be updated, but this method is causing significant issues.  This was the same problem I found when trying to install an older version of Flash that didn't  have the issues with Sysprep that later ones did.
That said, is there a switch for the install_flash_player_11_active_x.exe that will force it to run without checking first?  The -install doesn't stop the checking.
Thanks,
Keith

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

In the new version  of Adobe Flash Player 11.5.502.110 the images are not displayed. In previous versions they are displayed. Tested on several computers. This is not a local problem. This is a problem of Adobe. The bad news is that the early versions are very hard to find and reinstall it.

hi i have noticed the same problem. also with Chrome and FP ver 11.5.31.2and Firefox and Safari with FP 11.5.502.110
it seems that MovieClipLoader class not returning onLoadInit event. I use to add a fadein function on loadInit to fade in the loaded images. with the latest Flash PLayer versions this is not activated so you cannot see the loaded images.
I have tested this on 3 different systems and the problem is the same. I have not updated my FP for IE. There, the older FP still works well.

  • Can you find adobe flash player 11.5.502.55?

I have a power pc and 10.5.8 i find a discussion about a flash player on 11.5.502.55, but i couldn't find it.  Now the 10.102.64 now the flash player not working it goes 50% but never finish installation.  So i'm going to a older version on google to download the flash player 90280.  otherwise can you find it 11.5.502.55, all i find out was youtube and i needed a latest flash player.

At some point I'd posted some method for patching a Flash player so it would appear as 11.5.502... and thought to try & find it among previous discussions; and for some reason I could only go back 500 discussions. So I did not find that post.
Given the Flash player is essentially obsolete for the outdated OS X version(s) the patch is a way to allow some sites and some content to load in a browser that otherwise may not. However because it is not improved regularly, there is content that probably won't work even if you use the patch and run a later version.
The instructions are in a read-me richtext file in the patch folder; the Plugin update is included and you swap out the older plugin with a newer 11.5.xx included in the download file. It seems to do OK and my older Macs can use it. (Even my early Intel-based MacBook with Leopard 10.5.8 has a patch, since it hasn't a current Flash either.) See their 'read first' file to see what you need to do to get the patch to work. Save the old part in another folder so you could revert it. And test the Flash player version after the patch update. This does not use a regular installer; you re-use part of the existing Flash player

  • Version seems incorrect on Flash Player 11.5.502.135 (distribution license version)

I've downloaded the distribution license version of Flash Player 11.5.502.135.  In checking the version of the file after downloading it seems to be Flash Player 11.5.502.110.  Is the version wrong on the file, or is the file the wrong version?

Let me help you. Change the file name to identify the version. Voila! unique name! Cached only as that name/version.
Obvious if msi was not updated because the file name will reflect the old version.
[BTW, I save your downloads as "install_flash_player_11_5_502_135_active_x.msi'  or similar so I can tell what version the file is for.]
The current adobe msi files have no identification of the version other than the web page title preceding the link.  (Can right click EXE files in windows and the File Details tab will show version info.) The only way I know of checking to see if the Adobe msi link is pointing to a new file version is to check binary size or hash or look at file date-time (not so reliable). When I download your MSI file under .146, it matches the binary size of the .135 patch version.  (Download changes creation date-time.)
You probably use the same file name so web site page manager does not have change a web page or handle a variable file name. A good web programmer could fix this easily. Not difficult to append together version info an insert into a file name.

    Hi Anne,
Your version of Safari is still supported.  Please see Adobe Flash Player | Tech specs for supported OS and browsers.
If the Flash Player plugin is in the Plug-ins (disabled) folder it's because it's an older version that Apple has disabled in Safari.  This has nothing to do with whether or not Flash Player supports the browser.
I'm not sure what you mean by "when i click on flash player itself i am told there is no application to open it."  Flash Player.plugin only works in the browser to view Flash content in the browser.  The plugin does not open files outside of the browser.  If you have SWF files you'd like to view outside of the browser, then you'll need the Flash Player projector. However, based on your previous comments this doesn't appear to be what you are trying to do.
Google Chrome does embed Flash Player in it, while Firefox does not.   Mozilla has also recently started blocking older versions of Flash Player in Firefox similar to what Apple is doing in Safari.
Following the 'clean install' instructions should result in you having the latest version of Flash Player installed that will not be blocked by the browser.

  • I receive the message "Error:  Failed to register" when installing Adobe Flash Player 11.5.502.135 o

I receive the message "Error:  Failed to register" at the end of attempting to reinstall Adobe Flash Player 11.5.502.135 (after a complete uninstall of all Adobe programs) on my older machine running Windows XP and the older browser IE 7.    I have tried the offline download installer and my Google Chrome browser setting is "allow all sites to run Java".  I allowed the program to run from my AVG firewall dialog box.  Windows firewall did not ask.  I am logged in as administrator.  What should I do because some programs prompt me for this install in order for some functions to work correctly.

The two links (which I have asked the moderators to remove) do not actually go to image files, as they would appear to, but instead point to files that are identified by at least a few anti-virus engines as Windows malware. This is not a legitimate message.
Can you clarify where you are seeing this message? You say it appears every time you open a website... do you mean that it appears any time you open Safari, or every time you load a new page on any site you get a popup with that message, or what? If you could provide a screenshot of the message that would be exceptionally helpful.

  • Download Adobe Flash Player 11.5.502.110

After installing the latest version of Adobe Flash Player 11.5.502.100, I have lost my streaming capabilities:  Netflix, radios, videos.  The installation completes correctly, but when prompted to click on a selection, the download screen appears again and again.  What do I do to get this to work?

Chris: Sorry, I am new to this forum and this is the closest discussion I could find to the problem I'm having.  When I turn my computer on, I get the Adobe "notice" that an update is available. I go to the link provided to load the update.  The page indicates that the program is "Loading". and that's where it stops.  I never get the direction to Install or any other of the prompts.   I close out and I still have the old version of Adobe Flash- 11.4.402.287 32 Bit. I have Windows 7 64 Bit.  Whatever download I am getting appears to stall my computer.  I have to do a System Restore to get my computer to lose whatever "ghost" I'm getting.  Can you please give me some direction.  I also DO NOT want Google Chrome or McAfee.   If this is not the correct discussion, please steer me.   Thanks so much.

  • Adobe Flash Player 11.5.502.16 - Getting anoying messages everytime I enter a website

    Hi,
In the last hour I started receiving anoying messages in my browser asking me to download this Adobe Flash Player 11.5.502.16 version. There is a download button in the message which leads me to a supicous website (http://81.4.120.101/FlashInstall.zip)  and I don't believe it is from Adobe. The file to download is about 3 MB and it is compressed.
The problem is that I can't do anything and this message keeps appearing and does not allow me to navigate on the sites. I use chrome, win8, have the latest mcafee antivirus installed and could not find much about this issue on Google.
    Please, could you help me?
    Thanks!
    Daniel

I'm betting on something on the NET's side as well.
After changing the DNS on the router to google's the issue disappeared from everything.
I initially thought it was the chrome process I killed, but that doesn't seem reasonable.
It would seem that the DNS change was what caused the issue to disappear and that it was being injected via NET's DNSes into the victim's devices. That's how it managed to appear on IOS and Windows devices alike.
