Flash Player 11.6.180 youtube problem

Hi, I have trouble using the arrow key to scroll up and down on youtube, This problem happened after I upgrade my flash player from 11.2 to 11.6. When I pause or click anything on the flash pane, I cannot control the page using arrow key. The only way is to switch tab. I have reinstall version 11.2 and everytime I want to view any video, the message vulnerable flash player version occured. Please help

Thanks for adding the bug report.  I tried this out on Chrome, Firefox, and IE on Windows and in all cases I can confirm that the arrow keys do not allow the page to be scrolled while the flash content has the focus (ie. it was clicked last.)
However, I believe this is a feature of the YouTube player and not a Flash bug.  Pressing up and down on the arrow keys increases or decreases the YouTube player's volume.  Pressing left or right changes the playback position.  I found that I could use scroll the page again by simply clicking off the video and into the html content.
I would suggest posting this over on the YouTube forums and asking them to reconsider their current approach.

  • Adobe flash player not working for youtube

    Hi,
While I was trying to install Adobe Flash Player for Microsoft Internet Explorer, the installation process got stuck half way and I tried to terminate the installation. But I had difficulty even terminating the installation process and IE and my computer crashed together. Normally I use Firefox to surf the internet, however after the computer crashed and when I restarted my computer, Youtube videos just couldn't be played in Firefox. What I have since done was to upgrade Firefox to 3.6.18 and I have uninstalled + reinstalled Adobe Flash Player. However that still doesn't solve the problem. The Youtube webpage only shows a black box with no control boxes. However other websites e.g. Metacafe, which uses Adobe Flash Player to play video files are working perfectly fine. This is highly puzzling to me and very frustrating. Could anyone please help me with it? .
How do I mark this thread as a question?
Now, I was reading other threads and came across 1 suggestion to change the http:// to https:// and now the youtube videos can be played. How amazing :O. But that would mean that everytime I have to manually change the URL to access the video. This is so strange. Any suggestion what has happened? Thanks.

Hi, Since youtube/Google have not responded to the issue, no one knows for sure what their problem is. This is what I found and posted here last night. Then what I found and posted this morning, which you evidently found about the https.
It appears either one or both are being used to try solving the issue. It's been users coming up with these, not youtube nor Google. It effects all browsers, even Chrome. The only one I haven't seen so far is Safari. Flash Player version doesn't matter, nor Operating Systems.
    From last night:
YouTube just updated their video player, so the old version could still be cached in your browser causing it to fail. I would suggest rebooting, and if that's already done then make sure your drivers are up to date.
If that does not work make sure you download the new version of flash.  Posted3 hours ago
No, I had the exact same problem but it worked the second I cleared my internet cache which could have to do with what another user above said about that.
Go to tools, options, clear recent history, and only check the 'cache' option, clear now, okay, and then refresh or exit it and open it again. I didn't even have to restart my browser. I'm using firefox too, by the way. Good luck! I hope this helped!  Posted 2 hours ago
    From today 7/7/11:
Now youtube is having major issues as you could read from what I posted. There is nothing wrong with your computer nor Flash Player. Here is what many users are doing in addition to clearing the cache, history etc.
They are using https instead of http. So try it. Here is one that you can check to see if it works. If so, use the https until youtube/google respond.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1RiMHpUi1w
Until we hear from youtube or our own Flash Player Team, since I'm sure they are in touch with youtube, I don't know what else to do.
My guess is, that if youtube changed their video player for the videos, then that would be a factor. Right now it is a wait and see.
    Thanks,

  • Having trouble with Flash Player in regards to youtube

    Hello,
Recently I started having trouble with Flash Player in regards to using it with youtube. Sometimes all I see is a blank white screen and sometimes I do see the video with no surrounding youtube webpage or suggested videos etc. Nothing has changed on my computer as far as I know except the usual updates etc. I have tried uninstalling Flash Player and reinstalling with no luck. I even tried an older version. I am running windows XP and IE and have McAfee for my anti-virus. I am not the most computer savy person in the world and could sure use some help.
    Thanks,
    Ron

    Hitomi,
Thanks for the links. I am pretty sure it is not a problem with Flash Player itself but something else that is causing this. I don't know how to do a "screen shot", but even if I did I don't know that it would do anygood to show that because the youtube video screen and surrounding webpage only show for a second and then it goes totally white.
    Pat,
    Here is what I found:
    Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family
    Driver Provider          Intel corporation
    Driver Date               6/8/2005
    Driver Version          6.14.10.4332
Digital Signer               Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatability Publis
    Update:
This morning after doing some further reading and research on the Internet I tried running youtube in the  "InPrivate Browsing" window and youtube worked fine. So thinking I should delete my Internet Browing History, Cache, and Cookies, based on what I read I went ahead and did that but it still doesn't want to work. I think I did the deletions correctly? As I mentioned above I am not very computer savvy but can get by on the basics. Where should I go from here based on this info?
    Thanks,
    Ron

  • Flash player not working in YouTube...

    Hi,
Can anyone help me get flash player to load videos in Youtube please? It was working fine last night however when I try to get it to work in I.E or Firefox all I get is a message saying:
Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.
I have checked that the JavaScript is enabled - it is - I've even downloaded the latest Flash Player 10 but still nothing works, even after restarting my PC. Any suggestion on what I should do?
    Many thanks.

Hello, It seems that F.P. 10 installs in Firefox with no problems. In IE many are having issues.
Which Windows version are you using?
    Which version of I.E.?
Please list all Adobe programs that are listed in Add/Remove
Also, all ActiveX in Manage Add ons, including name, Status, Type and File
Are you using Google and or Yahoo Tool bars?
Thanks, perhaps with this information, I can take a look at what the problem might be.

  • Aliasing on Red and Blue color in ALL Flash Player video playback (including YouTube)

We have noticed that Flash Player does not smoothly decode the colors red or blue in video files (such as YouTube/Vimeo/similar), resulting in nasty aliasing on text/edges of solid colour. The problem occurs on both Mac and Windows platforms, tested with Flash Player 11.3 to 11.5 and demonstrated using the video below:
    https://vimeo.com/51914568
This video shows the issue clearly (you can switch between Vimeo's HTML5 Player to Flash Player. The red and green text is smoothly displayed in HTML5 Player or VLC/Quicktime Player). Note: watch in SD, not HD:
Only with Flash Player are edges aliased/jagged where they should be smooth. It's as if the resolution is dropped in half during the YUV decode.
I reported this today as  Bug 3351502
Here's hoping Adobe can get this sorted as it means the entire content of YouTube (for example) has poor quality video in Flash player.
You can also clearly see this on this cocacola advert:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2nBBMbjS8w&feature=relmfu
    CB

In general, the most expedient way to get your issue in front of an engineer (and to track progress on it) is to file a bug at http://bugbase.adobe.com/
I actually filed a bug on your behalf a while back. It was reviewed by an engineer from the video team, and closed as a duplicate of this bug:
    https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3324604
It sounds like the problem is specific to H.264 video encoded with 10-bit color.  You could re-encode your videos with 8-bit color as a temporary workaround to avoid the problem.  If you're seeing the same problem with 8-bit color, please let me know.
The bug is currently open and assigned to an engineer from the video team.

  • Flash Player Run Time in YouTube

The last time I updated Flash Player I began to have a problem with runtime for YouTube videos (only YouTube).  The video runs for 56 - 59 seconds and then freezes.  The only way to view videos longer than 60 seconds is to refresh and select the time that the video froze at and I need to repeat this process every 56 - 59 seconds.  What is my problem?  How do I solve this issue?

  • Flash player keeps crashing my youtube uploads

    hi,
i upload on youtube regulary and i have noticed that when i attempt to upload, flashplayer causes it to crash...and often the playback on youtube is completely out of synch with the sound and sometimes the sound cuts out suddenly.
that has caused me no end of frustration.
sometimes the playback is fine but then as soon as it gets to around 3 minutes the video goes out of synch.
i have tried just about everything to resolve the problem but nothing works.
i would appreciate some helpful advice from anyone who has experienced similar problems but have resolved them somehow.
    regards

ps i have included a clip to show you what problems i am having with flashplayer

I'm also having problems with Flash Player version 10.3.183.7, in the past day or so. Also using Firefox 6.0.2, though I've since tried this with the Standalone Player, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. I'm using Windows XP 32-bit. I also tried downloading archived flash player versions (9 and 10.1) and they had similar problems.
Most flash applications will cause the browser to lock up, sometimes temporarily and sometimes permanenely (having to close it through the Windows Task Manager). In the case where the browser does not permanently lock up, the flash application stops playing within the first 2-3 frames.

  • Flash player 10.1 video quality problem

Ever since I installed this version of flash player, the quality of streamed video has been absolutely horrible (Mostly on youtube and hulu).  Many of the videos should be in HD quality but are pixelated and fuzzy (especially when there is a lot of movement in the video) and it's appearance is similar to 240p or even worse. Shortly after having this issue, I unistalled the new update and reinstalled the previous version, which was more trouble than I expected, and the videos for the most part were fine. I eventually tried installed the latest update again and the problem is still there.  It's the same both in firefox and chrome and it makes videos almost unwatchable.
    So what is the problem?

Hi, many users have found improvement by turning off the hardware acceleration which is turned on by default with the FP 10.1. Just right click on a youtube video and change the Setting, Display Settings Panel.
Also it is recommended to update graphic and video drivers to the latest versions. Whether you need to do this you would know.
    Thanks,
