Flash Player 11.6 r602 annoying boop sound

Flash Player is giving off a "booping" sound every 6 to 10 seconds it's utterly annoying. I already tried a reinstallation but to no avail. What could that be and how do i shut it off?
The Volume Meter in Windows 7 Ultimate x64 shows it as Flash Player 11.6 r602 and i have the latest version installed.
I'm using Firefox v20.0 x64 If there's any additional information that is needed i will try to provide it.
I have no idea what's causing it to do this sound and recording it would be a pretty hefty piece of work i think^^ so please bear with it...

  • How to solve problem related to svchost and Adobe flash player 11.6 r602 failing to work?

    Hi...
I have been consistently facing a serious problem regarding the firefox I use. It's Firefox 20.0.1. I use Windows 7 and I have 8 gb of Ram.
The problem is after I launch Firefox two dialogue boxes appear in quick succession one telling that "svchost.exe has stopped working" and another is telling about "Adobe Flash Player 11.6 r602 has stopped working". The firefox immediately stops working and I have to use the task manager to close the program...even resort to restart the computer sometimes.
Please tell me solution applying which I can get out of this problem.
    Thanks
    Sam

  • Volume problems with Adobe Flash Player 11.6 r602

    Hello,
Whenever I used to watch Youtube or other video through Firefox, my volume would remain at whatever volume I had set for Firefox in my Volume Mixer.  The last few iterations of Firefix (currently 17.0.1), however, have seen a new item, "Adobe Flash Player 11.6 r602" appear in my Volume Mixer whenever I go to Youtube or any other audio/visual element within Firefox, and it always starts at maximum volume, and even when I manually open my Volume Mixer to turn it down, sometimes opening a new tab/window causes the volume to "reset" back to maximum again.
This has gone from being a nuissance into a real annoyance, and I am seeking help trying to figure out what's going on and how I can stop it.  Thanks very much in advance for any help that can be provided.
Note - this problem also happened with 11.5 r502, but the thread I was directed to, to report it, has apparently been removed from Adobe's site.

    Nothing has been removed...

  • Adobe Flash Player  11.6 r602 has stopped working

I get this message whenever I try and watch a video, same message for any page that uses flash, same message no matter which browser I'm using. This problem began with version 10, and I was using older versions of Flash Player until the other day when it would no longer work due to security issues--the message was that the older version of flash would no longer work...I needed to update the player. So, I did, and we're back to the same problem of Flash Player has stopped working message popping up over and over again. It doesn't seem to be the browsers since I get the same message in all of them. Possibly it is the hardware acceleration, but the two pathways to disabling hardware acceleration don't work.   When I try to see the current version (so I can right click and get to settings), the version won't show. The other strategy, right cliking on the video, also won't work because the video won't show after Flash Player has stopped working. My graphics card is a Radeon x1950, and I'm running 32 bit Vista Home Premium.  There is a ton of information on line about dealing with a balky flash player, but nothing that seems to address this problem. Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks in advance. RAS

im having the problem of this same error message popping up randomly like 5 times a day no matter what im doing im not trying to update the flash player i have the latest one but this message keeps coming up and alt tabbing me out of whatever it is im doing please help as its really annoying and is the bane of my video game life

There have been several similar posts in the past few weeks, but I have not followed them to see if there was a solution.
Try either to go back to the previous version 11.6 (see How do I revert to a previous version of Flash Player? ), or try the latest Flash Player beta: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html

  • Flash player 10.3 (current) causes major sound delays and sluggishness

Dutifully updating the Adobe Flash player as recommended, I ran into the problem that the curren version of it (10.3.187?) causes large delays in sound playback, like 0.5-1s delay before the sound plays that should play, also regular hangups in flash applications (choking). This ruins e.g. flash gaming of any sort.
System: Windows XP Pro on an AMD Athlon64 3700+ (single core), 2GB RAM
I currently downloaded 10.3.181 from OldApps, installed it after removing the current version, and the problem went away; no delays, no sluggishness, no choking.
Any idea what the problem is, and when this is going to be fixed? I'd prefer to be able to run the latest version re: security.

  • Flash Player 11.6.r602 crashes in all browsers

Running on windows vista box. In all browsers I repeatedly get Flash Player crash messages, appently caused by the Data Protection Execution Protection service closing it.
I've tried turning off DEP for flash and Windows won't let me.

Thanks for your prompt and helpful reply.....
When dealing with such a large problem with frequent FF lockups the temptation is to lump all information in an attempt to solve. LOL
Chasing multiple threads to help solve the problem may be helpful to the developers but it takes far too much time following and posting in each thread. As you can see it's taken a couple of days to get back to this post.
First thing we did is dump cache and cookies both through the interface and then manually in the profile. We changed the version of Flash installed manually and even changed the version of FF. There are many "flash" enabled pages we encountered which caused the lockup.....so MSN is not specifically the issue.
But when Flash is removed or disabled the browser no longer locks up.....suffice to say we get an error when visiting a website with flash content on it.
That is why I chose to post here as the problem is directly attributable to Flash in FF on all of our machines.

  • Flash Player is the Most annoying thing ever

Cant get adobe to work. It keeps freezing my computer for about 60 seconds when i try to watch youtube or something. 'Adobe flash player has crashed do you want to send crash report?' comes up on the screen. Then low and behold it starts working maybe 2 days later then it stops working again in another 2 days! And its a constant cycle like this. Its simply wrecking my head. I've read all the forums and tried everything, nothing seems to be working, and the 'great' people at the help centre gave me great advise, they told me to go to the forums!!! Is that their job to redirect people to the forums? Easiet job ever, i want that job, muppets! Sorry i'm ranting now but its so frustrating!

Hi, you didn't mention any computer info, but you are probably using FF(Firefox)? No one is going to help you until you post your computer information, 64bit or 32bit, browsers Installed and version numbers.
Flash Player is not the problem, it's everything that a user has Installed into their browser most of the time that causes problems. Or they don't have Flash Player Installed correctly and a hundred other reasons:-)
    Thanks,

  • Flash player 11.6 r602 memory leak and crash in FF 19.0

I have seen similar questions like this but have never witnessed it myself until today when Flash updated on FF 19.0. I'd like to see if this is Firefox or Adobe as the later is quick to say "this is normal".
I watch two streams (uStream and live.twit.tv) almost all the time that use flash on both sites. Usually it caps out at around 250MB and worked just fine this morning on uStream and is stable. Just got the Flash 11.6 update and neither currently work and will lock-up Firefox and eventually crash Adobe, which then frees up Firefox to allow me to use it again. It slowly creeps up to 1.9G before Adobe crashes.
I have tried, as suggested elsewhere on a very similar issue, to roll back to Adobe 10, add "ProtectedMode = 0" to the mms.cfg file in the macromed folders, and disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox options. This allowed Firefox to play flash media, but only after it as reached 2.8G of memory on an 8G physical memory machine (Adobe claims 10% is normal, which this is far beyond 10% of 8G)
I'd be quicker to blame Adobe on this, but I just got Firefox 19 the past 7 days, Adobe had always worked on Firefox before this update, but now even rolling back doesn't seem to work well at all. I'm not sure how to post my reports from about:crashes here, but...
    bp-492ad7e0-2bf8-46cb-b558-596252130228 2/27/20134:01 PM
...is my latest (Eleven reports today). I have screenshots of both Adobe v10 and v11 leaking memory, but don't feel it's useful at this time.
Any help would be awesome and if it's not Firefox at all I guess I'll head back to Adobe with some more meat and potatoes for a more thorough support ticket over there. I just don't like having to use Chrome since it seems to work just fine on these pages ;)

  • Adobe Flash Player 11.3 - Why No Sound?

Flash Player loads the video and runs without crashing, but there is no sound. Reloading the page makes no difference. I cannot find any Flash Player "setting" that would turn the sound on/off. Firefox is oblivious to the situation.

As you are using Windows have you checked with IE does that play the video ok with sound ?
This is a long shot but there have been very many problems with the release Flash Player 11.3, up until today we have often advise users to downgrade to the secure version Flash 10.3 or the NOT secure version 11.2.
There has been a new release of FlashPlayer today, intended to fix some of these problems so the advice now is to try that
*the version is Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.262 for Firefox
    * it is available from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
    * if with Flash Player enabled you visit the site http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ that will confirm the version that you have installed, and what the current latest version is

  • How to set Flash Player to use alternate sound device?

How is the Flash Player configured to use a different sound
output device? The default sound device goes to small speakers on
the computer. There is an alternate sound device that connects to a
high quality audio system via SPDIF. I don't want to set the
system-wide default audio to the output going to the audio system
because it is not turned on all the time. I have configured
specific media appications to play through the audio system, but I
want the "default sounds" from the computer to use the computer
    speakers.
I can't find the settings in the Flash Player to cause it to
use the alternate sound device. There is a settings dialog that
includes exactly the necessary settings for a microphone (allowing
a choice from any devices). Where is the setting for speakers?

I filed a bug report to be able to change the audio output device in flash player under Key: FP-6588.

  • Flash Player install help needed; no sound.

I have installed Flash Player 3 times -- followed instructions - checked volume controls - but still no sound; only have video.  It is the latest version. Help would be much appreciated.

Thank you for the guidance for what added info is needed to help solve these kinds of problems.  I'm a first-time user of tech forums.  I do believe I solved my problem by unistalling a previous version of Flash Player.  I finally did get sound.  Much appreciate. Bill
