Flash Player 11.7.700.224 stops working

Flash Player 11.7.700.224 stops working. Must uninstall to stop pop up notices that it stopped. It takes over my Firefox. I reinstall and in a day or two I again get those endless notices that stop me from using Firefox.  What's up?

When I did what you suggested, the videos start to load -- I see about 3 seconds or so and then I get a
"video player error" message on a black screen.  I tried 5 different videos with the same result; some played a few seconds longer than the others.  I also upgraded to Firefox 22, but that seemed to have no effect on anything with this.

  • 11.7.700.169 Error: "Adobe Flash Player 11.7 r700 has stopped working" -- HELP!!!

I have encountered this problem many times now. Way to many to be anywhere near happy about. I can understand having an issue with it and looking up stuff on my smart phone instead. But this program is also affecting my online game World of Warcraft. I'm not happy.
Anytime I open any program that uses the flashplayer, I get the pop up window of "Adobe Flash Player 11.7 r700 has stopped working", and then it force closes.
I have repeatedly removed it, re-installed, you name it. It's not working.
    Here's my information:
    Browser:     Mozilla Firefox (20.0.1)
Player:        Adobe Flash Player 11 (11.7.700.169)
System:       Windows 7, Vista Home Edition with Service Pack 1
Computer:  eMachine T525, AMD Athlon BE-2350 Processor, NVIDIA GeForce 3100, 320 GB hard drive
I have read other people having this issue, and reviewed the information given. 1 Adobe reply to the same issue as mine to a different person was:

To help troubleshoot we'll need the following system information:
    Browser
    Exact Flash   Player version
    Steps to reproduce the problem
When reporting issues with video or audio, it's also helpful to get your system hardware and driver details.  Instructions for finding this information can be found here:
    Windows
    Mac
Finally, sometimes video and audio problems are caused at a lower level and not directly related to Flash Player.  I recommend trying both of the links below to see how they perform.  If the problem exists with both, then Flash Player is most likely not the culprit as the HTML5 video link does not use Flash Player when playing.  You can verify the use of HTML5 by right clicking the HTML5 video and looking for the words "About HTML5" at the bottom of the context menu.
    HTML5   video
    Non-HTML5 video
I did the test at the bottom of this person's reply to test if I was having an issue with the HTML5 or not.  Both the 'HTML5 video' and 'Non-HTML5 video' ran perfectly fine for me.
Please help! I'm losing my mind with this program! I've been having to deal with this for months now, and am getting really annoyed, and frustrated, especially since my calm down and chilling time after work, kids, and family is my playing WoW, and I can't even do that!

I think you are hitting a known bug in 11.7.700.169
Either install an earlier version from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
or wait until the new version is released later this week.

Ok, lets start. The first option you gave me. Didn't work. I went into safe mode like it said (RealPlayer is not on this computer). The problem still presisted. I then made a new profile, and still the same responces. Tried default one more, no avail.
I then prceeded to the step for the mms.cfg file.  Unfortunately, I cannot access that file. It's not readable on the computer. (Such problems with every turn I take )
So, I then proceeded to the second option of the hardware acceleration. Talk about falling flat on my face. It wouldn't even pull up my type of flash for me to even access the settings. It gave me the little sad face stating "Adobe Flash has crashed".
I have provided screen shots of what I get when I get the Adobe crashes.
This is the first popup window I get whenever I start to have issues with Flash.
This is showing what I got for the type of flash. except, first time it showed, there was the sad "Flash Crashed" face image. Notice the notification in the right bottom on the screen. That pops up everytime Flash forces close.
This is the sad "Flash crashed" face I am talking about. And yes, I submit reports everytime I get the chance to.
I don't know if this would help. But this popup happens occasionally with the Flash popup.
Just an FYI; that first Flask Popup even occured everytime I went to attach an image.  Hopefully this will help figure out what's going on. Please let me know if you need more info.

  • Is Flash Player 11.7.700.224 really compatable with Windows Vista 64-bit?

I ask this question because under System Requirements, Window Vista 64-bit isn't listed.  I've inserted the link for the system requirements below...
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/tech-specs.html
I'm trying to figure why my Flash Player disappears from time to time when I'm watching a clip/video and then my Internet Explorer 9 typically stops working, it closes down, and then it opens up and asks me if I want to restore the browsing session.  I'm thinking that this has to do with having both Internet Explorer 9 32-bit and 64-bit.  I read online that Internet Explorer 9 has both and this is why I'm questioning whether Flash Player 11.7.700.224 might be contributing to this issue or was Window Vista 64-bit left off the system requirements in error?
    Thanks!

  • Flash Player 11.5 r502 has stopped working

When Firefox 17.01 loads any web page with flash content, or I attempt to view flash video, I get the message
Adobe Flash Player 11.5 r502 has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Windows (Vista SP2 Bld6002) offers to close the program, and is sometimes successful, but frequently Firefox just hangs up as it tries to open video after video and fails. This was true for both FP 11.5.502.110 and 11.5.502.135. As a temporary measure I installed the "Disable Flash" extension from the Firefox add-on gallery. Very helpful in buying time while I tried to find a solution. So nice, in fact, that I'm keeping it.
I uninstalled FP (11.5.502.135.) and down-graded to 11.2.202.235, which has solved the problem in the same way the same downgrade solved a similar issue with FP11.3 last spring. As another user has commented, "this is not an ideal situation." OTOH, I've been running 11.2.202.235 on my desktop since the June downgrade without any problem, so I may just keep FP11.2 on the laptop, too.
I gather that Adobe has not fixed the issue yet, since I see FP11.5.502.135 still being offered as the current version. Here is the laptop's MSinfo summary. I can email a full msinfo if it will help you find the problem.

Nope, no reply, but I really don’t expect much over the holiday.
I was poking around in Event Viewer in my Vista laptop and found that FP11.5.502.110 was faulting (eventID1000),  crashed (evetnID1001), Firefox hung (event ID1001), then “firefox.exe version 17.0.1.4715 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed” (eventid 1002). These quartets continued anytime I tried a Flashy page or tried to run a Flash video.  There were also lots of Firefox crash reports during that time, naming FP11.5.502.110.
Those symptom disappeared with FP11.5.502.135, replaced by those never-ending monologue boxes telling me that “Flash Player has stopped working” every time Firefox tried to load Flash content. Firefox, however, did not lock up –it was just inaccessible while I tried to catch up with those annoying monologues. The Event Viewer showed duets of  “FlashPlayerPlugin_11_5_502_135.exe, version 11.5.502.135, time stamp 0x50b849af, faulting module GIDHook.dll, version 3.0.0.168” (eventID1000), followed by an APPCRASH (eventid 1001). Firefox also had a lot of crash reports naming FP11.5.502.135, but Firefox itself never crashed.
All that ended when I downgraded to 11.2.202.235, which I happened to have lying around. Works fine, although Firefox addons warns me that I lack necessary protection against whatever because I'm running a downgrade. Tradeoffs. Guess I'll have to trust Norton.
I’m not going to experiment with my desktop, but I found that my Toshiba netbook (Windows 7 Starter SP1, current updates, Flash Player 11.5.502.110) is very slow loading pages with flash content, slow to respond to the “play” button, but no crashes relating to FF or FP in either Event Viewer or Firefox crash reports.
Upgrading netbook to FP11.5.502.135. Pages with flash content load faster, as do flash videos. Much better, No crashes, no monolgue boxes, no complaints. Maybe that's what 135 was for. Too bad it didn't fix the Flash Player crashes.
I found the post from Overall_Genossenschaft (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1109389?tstart=0 post20) interesting. The netbook  fits the profile of Overall’s Work Station1 which has no issues with 110 and 135. Neither does my netbook. (Except I can’t find “Flashutil_11_5_502_110_ActiveX.dll”.  I should have looked before the upgrade.)
Somebody earlier siggested that Adobe's array ofg test machines is too vanilla. Overall's findings suggest that may be true.I stand ready to send in any report they want. All they need to do is ask.
I hope Adobe finds the problem soon. Good luck in your own search, sarahg.

  • Flash Player 11.4 r402 has stopped working.

I am running Firefox 15.0 on a Windows Vista 32-bit machine.  After downloading the latest version of Flash Player I get a message that says Adobe Flash Player 11.4 r402 has stopped working.  How do I fix this problem?

A Tier 3 Support Engineer from Trusteer provided the fix (Rapport version 1205.8).  It solved the problem for me.  Here is the link I was given to download this version:
    https://trusteer.exavault.com/share/view/exo-gvdm939m-6r11kbij
I did have some issues installing the new version.  If you have unistalled Rapport already, I wouldn't think you would have to repeat my experience.  Here's what I went through:
First I tried to install Rapport (1205.8) in my user account. The install program failed and said I must log in to an Admin account.  I logged out of my user account, logged in to my Admin account, and tried again.  This time it said I must uninstall on the other (user account) where Rapport was installed.  So I logged out of my Admin account and logged in to my user account, uninstalled Rapport (from Control Panel | Programs and Features), logged out of my user account, logged back into my Admin account, and then installed Rapport (1205.8).  Next I rebooted and logged in to my user account and tested Adobe Flash Player in Firefox (at http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html).  As I said, all was well then.

    Hi,
It seemed that it is because of the flash player. We have not reproduced the case. If possible, would you please kindly contact Adobe support to check it?

  • Once latest Firefox 24 version uploaded, some sites visited get pop up that Adobe Flash Player 11.8 r800 has stopped working

Once latest Firefox 24 version uploaded, some sites visited get pop up that Adobe Flash Player 11.8 r800 has stopped working. Have tried following and none work:
    - reinstalled latest Shockwave Flash software, uninstalled and reinstalled with clean wipes
    - downgraded Flash to previous version
    - disabled hardware acceleration
Only when I disable Javascript in Firefox will the error stop but then no Flash application will work.
This is clearly a Firefox issue with the latest version. The previous version was using the latest Flash and there was no issue.
Below you will see I am using older version of Flash as I was testing previous, but same issue when I go the latest verison.
    Please fix in an update.

Well that solution failed ... lasted for almost a day. The crashing of Flash is back.

  • ERROR MESSAGE KEEPS POPING UP " ADOBE FLASH PLAYER 11.8 R800 HAS STOPPED WORKING"

MESSG KEEPS POPPING UP EVERY FEW SECONDS,  I HAVE UNINSTALLED FLASH AND REINSTALLED IT FROM ADOBE'S WEB SITE BUT IT STILL KEEPS POPPIN UP.  WHAT HAVE I DONE WRONG?

MY PROBLEM IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS YOURS.  I ALSO HAVE FIREFOX BUT I CANT TAKE A SCREEN SHOT OF MY PROBLEM BECAUSE THE ERROR MESSG POPS UP SO OFTEN AND LOCKS UP MY COMPUTER UNTIL I HIT THE X BUTTON ON IT BUT IT POPS RIGHT BACK UP AGAIN.  I THINK I HAVE ELIMINATED THE PROBLEM TEMPORARILY   BY DISABLING ANY POPUPS THAT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH FLASH.  NOT THE BEST SOLUTION BUT AT LEAST I CAN USE MY COMPUTER.

I am having the same issue. I use Mozilla as my web browser and encountered the problem when I signed in to my Yahoo mail account.

  • I keep getting the message "Adobe Flash Player 11.7 r700 has stopped working"

I keep getting the message "Adobe Flash Player 11.7 r700 has stopped working"   I have no idea how to fix it and can't find anything online that has worked.

  • Constant Error; Adobe Flash Player 11.4 r402 has stopped working. But NOT running Trusteer Rapport.

I am experiancing this unbelieveably annoying and constant Flash error;  Adobe Flash Player 11.4 r402 has stopped working.
But NOT running Trusteer Rapport, I never have, and it's not even installed on my computer.  So what's causing this?

There were a couple AntiVirus/AntiMalware products that keep coming up, but I haven't validated that in the lab and don't want to call anyone out publicly without reporting the issue to them first.

If you could tell me what antivirus/antimalware products and versions you have installed, that would be helpful.
So, third party stuff aside, I'd like to know more about the crashes your seeing:
1.) Please provide links to the Firefox crash reports.  If you have multiples, the first few would be great.
In Firefox, type about:crashes in the address bar
If the link starts with "bp...", it's already been submitted -- just right-click on it and copy the link, and paste it into the reply here.
If not, click it to submit it, and copy the subsequent link.
    2.) In firefox, type about:support
Just copy and paste the output into the reply.
    3.) In Firefox, type about:plugins
Please copy and paste the output into the reply
4.) Please provide the output of the DirectX Diagnostic Utility
Click Start > type "dxdiag" [enter]
         Click Save All Information
Copy the output of the file into the reply, or use Adobe SendNow/DropBox/PasteBin to share the file.
5.) If you can provide an exact URL and step-by-step instructions on repeating the crash (if it's consistent), that would be really helpful.  My goal is to build out a configuration that matches yours as closely as possible, reproduce the problem and then debug it.
If you're not comfortable sharing that diagnostic information publicly, send me a private message.  Just click my name and use the options on the right.
    Thanks!

  • Adobe Flash Player 11.9 r900 has stopped working

I see that I have the same problem as another person who posted, and was not sure whether to reply to hers or start a new discussion.  Everytime I try to open a new website in Firefox I get the message that Adobe Flash Player 11.9 r900 has stopped working, and that data execution has shut down the program to protect my system.  This is very frustrating, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

i am having the same issue, constant pop-ups saying that it has stopped working. i have uninstalled, using the uninstaller provided as well as through control panel. I could not reinstall through the normal download manager, everytime i tried to open it the installer would crash AND somehow delete its installer from the download folder magically... i tried to reinstall with a downloadable .exe and it seemed to work but quickly reverted to crashing before i could play even one youtube video. I cant visit hardly any websites without getting constant crash pop-ups. PLEASE HELP! i will remote desktop asap or try to downlaod whatever, but id really love to fix this without a complete reformat.

  • For some reason, the Flash Player on my MAC Pro stopped working, I've checked the install on my Adobe Flash Player and the are current, but the plug-ins don't seem to be working.  Can anyone help me get it working?

For some reason, the Flash Player on my MAC Pro stopped working, I've checked the install on my Adobe Flash Player and the are current, but the plug-ins don't seem to be working.  Can anyone help me get it working?

It happened w/ my MacPro 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon about 5 months ago; tried everything I could think of including multiple downloads of Flash, and hadn't seen any solutions here.  Adobe insisted many times that I download & update, but the newest vers. wouldn't work on the computer.
On checking Adobe/Flash was reading the computer as being an earlier model. So the new version of Flash wouldn't work w/ it.  Snow Leopard 10.6.8 was being read correctly but not the computer model (can't remember what MP model  it was reading).
Nothing worked. So -- a very old PC trick: If nothing else works get the hammer out and bludgeon it-- might work. So I reset everything by putting the Snow Leopard  install disk in, held down 'C' on restart and let it run.
Didn't take anything off the HDD first, just ran the install disk over everything.
The experts on the forums are probably cringing right now & I'd like very much for them to jump in. Love to know how my computer model was being mis-read. All I can say is, for the brave and desparate, it worked for me. Something to keep in mind.
