Flash player 11 ruined everything.

on thursday, i turned on my computer and the flash player updated itself with the newest version. flash player 11. until this happened, everything worked fine. my primary use is for youtube. ever since the program updated itself, nothing  works. no video. nada. i can't download anything. my web browser won't open most websites. this program has ruined my computer. i have tried everything under the sun for the last 3 days and have gotten nowhere. uninstall, reboot, reboot again, reinstall, reboot, trouble shooting, de-activating firewall and security anti-virus, disabling hardware accelerators, managing add-ons, enabling them,  then re-activating it. trouble shooting windows. unfortunately, i can't update anything for windows, because the page won't display thanks to your program. i just get a blank screen. so,after having exhausted every possible means of trying to fix my computer, this is the way i see things. it was your program that messed everything on my computer up, therefore,it is up to you to fix it. under the age old rule of "you brake it, you bought it". if this is not fixable, i'm going to lose a whole boatload of very important files, and some of it non replaceable content. the damage would be serious enough to put me out of business. i lose everything.

I am using window 7, my browser is Google Chrome and since your 11.6 flash instalation my computer is totally screwed up!! Half of my stuff won't download, my comptuer is so slow now, I have multiple screens when I scroll up and down. I have no clue what is going on!! I have tried everything and nothing works. WHAT NOW

  • Videos from the net won't play; plug in's enabled, latest Flash player installed; everything works fine on Safaril; even replaced Firefox by Aurorar, the same.

Earlier everything worked fine, I'm not aware of any change, e.g. in preferences. Now, if I try starting a video from the net (e.g. Youtube) I get either message: update Flash player, or enable plug in; both are in order, and work fine on Safari. I cleared cache and cookies, tried even to uninstall Firefox and download Aurora in vain. I use Windows 7 Ultimate and AVG Internet Security, the very same as earlier when Firefox played these videos perfectly.

Hi, is it the website itself or just that particular game? Does either one work when using Internet Explorer?
Using FF(Firefox) go to the plug-ins and look for the SWF vs 10.0.45.2 plug-in and make sure it is Enabled.
Do you use Ad-Block in FF?, if so try Disabling it and then check if this makes a difference.

  • Why can't I install Adobe Flash player? Everything was fine until your latest version about 2 weeks ago. I'm missing out on a lot of stuff. Thanks for your help.

Ever since I upgraded firefox about 2 weeks ago I no longer have Adobe Flash so a lot of my e-mails won't even open up. I can't get anything from YouTube. When I try to install Adobe Flash Player I get a message that says since I have Mozilla I can't get it. Is there a work around?
    Thanks

You have Shockwave Flash 7.0 r19 installed for Firefox, in addition to Shockwave Flash 10.2 r153. You need to get rid of that old version which is overriding Firefox from using the later version.
See if you can remove that old version from the Control Panel > Add /Remove Programs. If it isn't listed there, remove the NPSWF32.dll file for that version from the \Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\ folder - (right-click that file and open Properties and then view the Version tab to verify it is that old version of Flash, if you have more than one of those files in that folder.)

  • Problem with performance in flash player 11.4.402.287

    Hi,
We found the problem in 11.4.402.287 flash player. IN Debug version, Flex application works fine but in standard version we experience  problems with performance.
This happens only in 11.4.402 version for Firefox. In another browsers and Flash player versions everything works fine.
For example, 11.3 for Firefox does not have this problem.
Application has a lot of small objects that receives rollover and rollout events and depend on object highlited some of these objects

  • How to fix flash player contiually crashing?

Windows 7 32 bit, Intel 2.53Ghz cpu, 2Gb memory, machine is clean, no malware or unnecessary junk.
Install flash player successfully everything looks good, but at any website that requires flash player, it either freezes or crashes. This happens repeatedly to the point where I delete the player in disgust...until the next time a web site refuses to function without it, so I install a new (and most recent) version, and the same thing happens again. And again. And again!!!
I read in the questions that this is a common issue with many many users, so just exactly what is wrong? Why can't Adobe make a flash player that works properly? I don't have any unusual, out of the ordinary machine , just a standard garden-variety Intel Windows machine. Flash player should work, but doesn't. This is getting extremely irritating and frustrating, I'm greatly tempted to abandon all Adobe products for good, and make do without using this blasted infernal Flash Player.
FWIW I am not a noob, I've been using and maintaining PCs since Windows 3.1 so please don't take the route of "user error" with me.
Whether I choose to "continue" or "stop" this message pops up again every few moments, and this continues until finally
the Flash Player crashes... which doesn't really matter at that point because the thing has been no use at all up until then.
If anyone has a solution please email it to me: I don't have the time or patience to keep checking back simply to see if anyone
responded.  I've wasted enough time on similar sites where questions go unanswered for months, or in some cases years,
and by the number of questions on this same issue, I suspect there is no solution -- unless perhaps somebody finds an alternative to using Adobe flash Player, a solution for which I sincerely hope!

I tried uninstall and re install both Flash Player and Chrome it self but nothing changed.
I also noticed that when i try to download something on chrome (this is the browser i use for everything), for example a movie trailer from Apple's trailer site (for example this movie trailer iTunes Movie Trailers) i right click and press Save As, it does nothing after that and after let's say some seconds the window pops up asking me where to save it, and i save it. That means that when i press "Save As" it does starts downloading in the background (like the first post in this thread states) and only wneh it finishes downloading the Chrome pop up window appear. When it should pop immediatelly asking me where to save it the moment i right click something and press Save As. At least that what i used to do before THIS whole problem started......
    Any thoughts...??????
    Please i am desperate......

  • Retina Display Support not working with Flash Player run applets

When running flash player run websites (e.g. games or Youtube) the flash player applet fails to render for the Retina Display in the new Firefox 18 (although websites render for the retina display).
Flash player renders everything including flash applets for the retina display in other browsers (Safari, Chrome)

Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the [http://mozilla.com/plugincheck Mozilla Plugin Check site].
Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions.
If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow ''Update'' button or a red ''Update now'' button, please update these immediately.
To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.

  • Flash Player 9.0.115.0 update breaks getUrl in IE

I am aware of the other discussions that have already been
started on this forum regarding the v.115 issues:
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=15&catid=194&threadid =1320695&enterthread=y
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=15&catid=194&threadid =1320695&enterthread=y
But since there hasn't been any activity there since mid
December i am starting a new one, outlining my problem.
The company I work for supplies flash games to one of our
customers. Their production system is setup as follows:
The main HTML page is setup with frames and located at a
certain domain (for example: fungames.com). One of the frames in
their site loads up the flash games from a sub domain
    (games.fungames.com) into that frame.
getUrl calls from the flash games that are targeted to the
games.fun.com are not working in IE since updating to v.115 of the
    flash player.
Everything is working perfectly in Firefox and also if i
navigate directly to the sudomain and try the games out.
I have tried out the following solutions and none work:
Changing the allowScriptAcces to "always" when using JS to
    embed the swf.
Changing the allowScriptAcces to "always" when embeding the
swf using the standard object way.
This is causing huge problems for our customer, making
functionality in some games unavailable and making other games
    unplayable in IE.
Please fix this in the player or suggest a workaround.

This local problem is a different security related issue than
the original problem, and has been a change that started in Flash
Player 8. this has nothing to do with the 'allowscriptaccess' tag,
which only effects SWF playing in HTML served via a web server.
    If you read livedocs:
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/flash/9.0/main/00001078.html
    ... you'll see that when you're in the 'local-with-filesystem'
security sandbox then any call to an HTML page is considered a
network call, and will be blocked by the security mechanism.
The workaround (for local testing) is a bit of a pain. In
fact, it's easier to just upload the HTML and the SWF and test it
on the live server than to do the workaround (which is to add your
HTML it's containing folders to the Flash Player trust
    locations..)

  • Flash Player v11.3.300.265 converts STEREO web audio into 5.1

Hello! Excuse my English, please. I got a problem since the last update of Flash Player. Everything worked perfect before that update. And now, when I'm listening to my MP3 files (all are in STEREO) through IE9, they are automatically converting to 5.1 by Shockwave Flash Object. I can fix it only by disabling "Shockwave Flash Object" Add-on in Internet Explorer preferences! 5.1 that makes FLASH Player sounds horrible, TOO loud, TOO heavy bass and why to do that?! MP3s were coded in stereo... I can listen to my music through WMP12 without any problem, all my audio is in stereo. I have Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) and Creative X-fi Xtreme Audio PCI card. Thanks!

Uninstalling 11.3.300.265 and installing back Flash Player 11.2.202.235 solved this problem. Now everything is in stereo as it should be. So it's definetly something wrong with that new audio fixes in latest flash version...

  • Installing latest Adobe Flash player

Just tonight I uninstalled the old version of Adobe Flash Player (I used Adobe's Flash uninstaller utility). Then I downloaded and installed the latest version of the Flash Player. Everything looks fine, but but one thing confuses me. On my desktop, I now have a Flash icon with the label "Flash Player." This item also appears as a device in Finder.
When I double-click this icon, it launches the Flash Player installer ... again. I've already installed the application, so I don't need the installer any longer. My questions:
Why did this "device" end up on my desktop?
Since it's nothing more than an installer, can I simply push it off into the Trash and get rid of it?
What happens if I "eject" the device in the Finder?

Delete it & empty the trash.

  • Flash player won't work IE - Windows 7

@@Since I installed a new graphic card, Flash player keeps giving troubles (in both IE and Firefox).
    First the problem was this:
    - I had to reïnstall Flash each time I rebooted my computer.
Then I tried to fix this using a program provided by Adobe (SubinAcl), which should have resolved this problem. However, the problem got worse instead. Now the problem is this:
    - Flash won't work at all.
I did almost every action found on the internet for this problem:
Reïnstalling Flash, seems to work perfectly
    - Flash player is enabled via 'manage add-ons'
    - DirectX filtering is disabled at all times
    - The last programm installed according to my control panel even is Flash Player 15
    - As said, I installed a programm provided by Adobe, but this even made the problem worse
But, if I do the Flash check of Adobe, it sais there is no Flash player
So everything seems to say, there is Flash player installed, however, I still can't view Flash content. Very, very annoying. Please help me with this.

  • Flash player 11.3.300.265 resets privacy settings after deleting private data in Opera

    hello,
flash player 11.3.300.265 and Opera 12.00.1467 x64, Windows 7 here.
I noticed that when I delete private data in Opera, with "delete plug-in data" checked,
all the privacy settings in flash control panel reset to default state of "allow".
Is this a bug or feature? I really don't think it was planned to be this way..
Because in doing so (deleting private data), the user expects to (hopefully) feel less exposed, than vice versa, which is the case when flash player allows everything without any notification.
If it's not intended, which fault is this, Adobe or Opera?

  • Flash player security

Where can I find information spedifying how the Flash player is working on the Playbook, especially related to how data is sent back and forth to the Flash file (updates via webservices) and which data are stored/cached on the PlayBook if if should get lost. I need to find out if we can use this solution for displaying sensitive data to a customer and what the risk is if it's stolen/lost.

Contact the Dofus or Adobe people. AFAIK, there isn't a keychain associated with flash player. Everything that I know about trusted applications is from http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/TigerSecurity_Config021507.pdf Open it up and search for *trusted application*. There's a six-step procedure. However, flash player doesn't have a keychain item associated with it, so I have no idea how you'd do that.

  • Flash Player for Admin and no others on XP

I've recently uninstalled and reinstalled latest version of
Flash Player. Everything works fine for me (the PC's
Administrator), but none of the other users on the machine. I have
XP Media Center version. Any ideas what I need to do?

There is no news; Apple still won't allow it.
