Flash Player 11 Supports Win 7 64, but not Vista 64?

I use Windows Vista 64-bit, and I've been enjoying using the beta versions, and release candidate, of Flash Player 11. I've been using the 64-bit ActiveX version, and it has worked excellently with IE9 64-bit. When I found out that Flash Player 11 was finally released, I quickly went to the download page to download it. When I got there, and noticed that Vista 64 is not supported, I was very disappointed. Why would Adobe do this, when the pre-release versions work perfectly fine with Vista 64?

download the 64-bit installer in this FAQ: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3952360
it has direct links to the one you want...

I've tryed a lot of things to solve this problem but impossible to find the solution.
    - re-instal flash player
    - disable the firewall (windows)
    - disable the firewall and the antivirus (bitdefender)
I test my computer on an other internet provider and everything works correctly
I test an other computer on my internet connection and everything works correctly.
The problem comes from my computer on my internet connection.
    I'll appreciate a solution.
    Thank you.

This is what you should see under "plugins" in Opera:
Make sure Flash Player is listed and enabled.
It comes from the same place as the plug-in for Firefox, so one won't work if the other doesn't.
If that doesn't work, try a clean install. http://forums.adobe.com/message/4041846

  • Flash player 12 is installed on win7, but not recognized by IE9 or Firefox26 as a plug-in

I have several windows 7 pcs that have Flash 12 installed (can see them in list of programs in control panel). Flash was working fine until last version 11. Now even though Windows shows Flash 12 as installed, IR9 and Firefox 26 don't see it. I don't see a Shockwave Player add-on to enable or disable in either browser. When I go to the Adobe test flash web page, it shows that flash is not installed, but recognizes my browser and OS fine. I updated my display drivers per forum suggestions but of course not helpful in this case. I used an MSI installer from Adobe to try to rule out permissions as a problem, but same issue.
I went through all the help documentation already available, but don't pretain to my situation since I am not getting any error messages. What makes it even crazier is that a few of the machines on my network have Flash working just fine. They are identical in hardware and software as the ones with Flash not working. I am at a dead end. Any new suggestions would be appreciated.

What you see in the Control Panel is the "Global Settings Manager" which can and does remain even if the Flash Player isn't working or is partially removed. Where you need to look for the Flash Player is C/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash and C/Windows/SysWOW64/Macromed/Flash (on 64 bit systems).
Unfortunately I don't deal with MSI or network installs, but I'll pass this along to another member who has experience with them, and get you a good working link for both installers.

  • How do I sign up for Adobe Flash Player Extended Support Versions?

    Hi UtahDano,
Can you tell me where you saw '2013'?  I looked on Adobe Flash Player Distribution | Adobe, Adobe - Adobe Runtimes / Reader Distribution License Agreement, and Adobe Runtimes / Reader Distribution Agreement, and I'm not seeing '2013'.  Once I find out exactly where this is at, I can forward it to the appropriate folks to update.
    Thank  you.

  • How to install older versions of Flash Player(ActiveX) in Win 8?

    Hello all,
How to install older version of Flash Player in Windows 8? and how to uninstall default Flash Player that come from IE10 in Windows 8?
Actually I want to install Adobe_Flash_Player_(IE)_v11.7.700.224.exe in Windows 8.
Is it possible to overcome this issue? If it is not, could you share me your information on this issue?
    Thanks in advance.
    RK.

    Thank you for reply..
Actually i uninstalled the existing version of Flash Player from my Windows 8 PC, but when i tried to install the older version, it was not allowing me to install and was showing that my browser is included with latest version.
Even i followed the below given websites, it didn't given any remedy for it.
    http://flash-focus.blogspot.in/2007/03/installing-previous-versions-of-flash.html
    http://www.itsecdb.com/oval/objectdetails/oval/org.mitre.oval/obj/7075/windows-registry_ob ject-Registry-that-holds-the-version-of-the-Adobe-Flash-Player-in/
So that my PC is restricting the older version installation from somewhere which holds the version information and that user cannot modify/delete that information. If i know that mystery i can install any version of Flash Player in my Windows 8.
I hope i will find this.
    Thanks for your support.

i have Android OS, V4.1 (Jelly Bean), which flash player will support to my device.i intalled Flash Player for Android 4.0 latest V(11.1.115.69) to site but
when i run video on facebook to my device, its showing flash player upgrate required.

Adobe stopped ALL development of Flash for Android last year.

There are older versions of Flash Player (for Android) at that link, but there are no guarantees any of them will work.

I've read a lot about "Dolphin" for Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser
I'm not an Android user (no tablet or phone) so I can't make any endorsements that would hold any credibility, but most of the Flash solutions I've read point to Dolphin as the best alternative.
Check the Android forums: http://androidforums.com/ to see what their "gurus" recommend.

In fact, the my downloaded version is the laterest. how can i fix the problem? thanks.

I cannot load an app for Adobe Flash Player on my iPad.  It says "not supported" on this equipment.  Is that right?  If so, is there a recommended sub that will satisfy that requirement?  Some programs specifically say "adobe flash player"

    What App? From where?
You can only get Apps from the App Store. nowhere else.  If you are trying to download form a website you cannot do it.
If you need Flash Support for websites, you can download a flash supporting browser from the App store.
    Examples are:
    Puffin

    Photon

There may be others in the store.

Ever since I installed MAVERICK, nothing now works, Flash Player won't run, printer works but scanner will not and the computer runs so slow.  Any help anywhere?

wqn02h, first thing I would do is use Disk utility to repair permissions. Once this is done. Make sure you have the latest versions of the software you use. Also, check the manufacter of your printer/scanner for updated software. If they don't have updated software there are 3rd party alternatives that will work.

  • Download problems.., Flash Player.  Says I've succeeded, but can't use Avery products.

Not succeeding in downloading Flash Player.  Says I've succeeded, but can't use Avery products.

    Hi,
What operating system is your computer running on?
Please click on this link to verify if Flash Player has beenn successfully installed : About Flash Player
If it cannot detect Flash Player, use this link to download the full installers : http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550
The page which the link directs you to should also show the version of Flash Player installed.
Please verify if that meets the requirement for the software you are trying to use.
Also, when you try to use the products you've mentioned, what is the exact error message you see?
    Thanks
