Flash Player 12.0.0.77 Issue

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, IE 11.0.9600.1621, Flash Player 12.0.0.77.  When I run a video of say, Yahoo, I get sound but not picture.  I've tried online suggestions such as enabling the Shockwave Flash Object.  Nothing has worked.  Any suggestions about how to get a picture?F

Hardware acceleration: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/891337

Outside of that, it's probably another plug-in, or a 3rd party app.

  • Adobe Flash Player 10 - Enable Local Storage Issue

    Hi all,
Having and issue after upgrading to Flash Player 10 from 9.
Some chat room applications are indicating that they cannot run
since local storage is not enabled. If I log into the PC as the
domain admin everything works fine. If a regular user logs in, that
message appears. What has adobe changed in Flash Player 10 that I
    need to update?
    Thanks.

Old laptop I know but the 10.1.x.x Flash Players worked just fine. Problem started with 10.2.152.26 flash player.
Now BBC TV live and iPlayer work just fine, however YouTube does not - audio but no video. Just a black rectangle where the video should be.
Right click to get the menu and "settings" is greyed out. However select the pop-out option and the video plays. Right click on the pop-out and "settings" is available. So deselect "enable hardware acceleration", close the pop-out and refresh the window (F5) and now YouTube videos play. Switch hardware acceleration back on and now they don't.

  • Work around for Flash Player 9/SMS 2003 install issues?

    All,
As has been stated here previously, there appears to be an
issue which prevents the installation of Flash Player 9.0.16.0 when
pushed from SMS to a system which has a standard user logged in,
even when using a Domain Admin installation account. As long as the
user has Admin rights, or there is no user logged on, the install
    goes smoothly.
I work in a partial retail environment, and all of our retail
machines are rebooted nightly via a sheduled task. So, naturally
when I was tasked with pushing Flash Player to these mahcines, and
found the above issue, I simply only allowed the program to kick
off when no user was logged on. Thus, when each machine reboots and
sits at ctrl+alt+del at 3AM, viola, the install kicks off, Flash
    installs, and everyone's happy.
I now have to push Flash Player 9 to the rest of my company,
with no guarantee that many machines will ever sit for any
appreciable time logged off. In fact, the only time most of them
reboot is when we force them to after Windows Updates each month.
    =op
Has anyone found a fix for this issue? I'd really love to be
able to advertise Flash Player and let the user install from
    Add/Remove Programs at their leisure.
    Thanks in advance!
    Bill

I was having the exact same problems - uninstalled/installed
Flash and Shockwave. Used the appropriate uninstaller, searched for
rogue .dll extension files, cleaned out the
C:\Windows\System32\Macromedia\Flash files, looked at the manage
add-ons, posted on this forum, e-mailed Adobe, spoke with them on
the phone and even uninstalled IE7 and went back to IE 6. None of
    that helped.
Reading through some of the responses on various posts, I
    found the following:
Uninstall flash with the latest Adobe stand alone uninstaller
Download Complete Standalone installer Flash Player 9 earlier
    version from
    http://www.softwarepatch.com/internet/flash.html
Uninstall shockwave with the latest Adobe stand alone
    uninstaller
Download Stand-alone installers for Shockwave Player:
    previous versions only

Note: Users of Windows XP operating system must use the 8.5.1
Shockwave player or higher. For more information, please

    they both are running fine.

  • Adobe flash player 10.2.154.12 issue or something...

    Hello everybody.
I have updated my flash player today from 10.1... to 10.2.154.12 ( the latest one ), and I'm experiencing a strange thing. When I go to YouTube to watch any video I am seeing two clips, one on top of the other separated by a green bar at the middle of the screen. As much as I can tell the top one is the normal clip and the bottom one is or attempting to be for 3D or something like that. I don't know if that is for 3D or it's just a bug, but if it is I would like to know how can I turn it off so that I might see just one normal Youtube screen in stead of two. Because the clips are one over the other they are very wide (strech) and it's a bit annoying. If someone knows anything about this please help me.
    P.S. My PC specs:
    CPU: Intel E8400
    RAM: 2GB
    OS: Windows XP SP2
    Video: Nvidia 9600GT.
Yesterday I was able to watch YouTube videos normaly so it's not PC related problems just in case somebody asks.
Thank you in advance . Alex.
[Small Update] Other video websites do not show this problem so I'm thinking it's has something to do with this update not being fully compatible with  YouTube. Further testing needed.

  • To Bentley Wolfe, Adobe, re: Locked [ADOBE FYI] : Getting Support for Flash Player 10 and Issue Tracking post

    Hi Bentley,
I wanted to tell you that an important link you posted does
not work and says "Sorry, this page is not available".
It is in your post entitled "Locked [ADOBE FYI] : Getting
Support for Flash Player 10 and Issue Tracking post", and is at
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfmforumid=44&catid=184&threadid= 1400586&enterthread=y.
The link that is non-functional is "If you have issues
installing Flash Player 10, first troubleshoot your issues using
    http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer.
Read the technotes, do some testing.".
I just wanted you to know, since you have gone to all of the
effort of posting it. I apologize for having to start a new thread,
but I was unable to post to your thread, since it is locked and
    read-only.
This is the issue I am dealing with myself, and desperately
    need help with. :)
    Thank you so very much,

    Hi Bentley,
I just noticed something. The link that I pasted, to your
post, does not work either. I noticed why, however, and it seems to
be why the link in your original page does not work, and why the
link in my post that goes to your post does not work.
It seems to be that if a link has a period after it (i.e., if
it is at the end of a sentence), the period is incorrectly included
in the "real" link. Somehow, whatever mechanism that processes the
post has a mini bug in it.
If you go to the link that is results in "Sorry, this page is
not available", and look up into the browser address bar, you will
see the period there each time.
I just thought that I would point this out, too, so that the
web techs in charge of the workings of the forums could look into
    it.
Here is the original link, without a period after it, to your
    original page.

  • Flash Player-MP3 Compatibility Issue

Does Flash Player 10 hav any compatibility issues in Playing CBR MP3. The reason why I am asking is because of the observation which I made (Given  Below)
I am right now working  on a module "Live Streaming Codecs" for an e-learning application. I used Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder to encode my Live Class using VP6/MP3 & streamed it using Flash media server 3.5. During Testing I observerd a  few hitches and breaks in 'Audio' (Streamed at 56kbps @44.1Khz Sample Rate encoded using ) in the client machine. However the video was fine. The Flash player version is 10. The same problem was there on all clients. But if I used AAC for audio (Encoded using VLC & streamed using Wowza Media Server) the audio was fine. So does this prove that Flash Player does have some Compatibility Issues with MP3 or is it some problem with my settings?
Please help me out to resolve this issue !

  • I'm having issues down loading adobe flash player

I've tried to down load the adobe flash player and I'm having issues, I'm doing everything right then this stupid black screen comes up and nothing happens?
I need help or please fix this issues Thank You!

The big Step 1 button that says Install doesn't install anything. It downloads the installer to your Mac. Note that Step 2 tells you what to do next:
To proceed, open your download folder and locate the Adobe Flash Player Installer file, named like "AdobeFlashPlayer[xxx]_install.dmg”.
The file you'll find there should be named:
    AdobeFlashPlayer_17_ta_install.dmg
Double click the .dmg file to open it. You'll see this:
Click the "Install Adobe Flash Player" package. When the installation is done, you can close this window and dismount the .dmg file by putting the "drive" icon that appeared on the desktop in the trash. You can then delete the .dmg file as you no longer need it.
The Step 3 Adobe shows is completely pointless.

  • Flash Player MSI Installation, Uninstallation and Upgrade Issues

    Hello,
I'd like to request help regarding Adobe Flash Player. We are having issues when we push out upgrades via SCCM. On a number of our computers, we are getting multiple versions of Flash player installed. It seems like instead of upgrading the current version, Flash player is just installing new copies every time we push out a new version. This creates security vulnerabilities for us and also seems to corrupt the newest installation. For example, we will have to log onto a computer, uninstall all the previous versions and then reinstall the newest version to get it to work again. Our helpdesk is also getting errors on some systems when they try to uninstall the flash versions before doing a clean install.
    OS Version: Windows 7 x64 SP1
    Web Browser: IE9, 10 and 11
    Flash Player version: 16.0.0.xxx

  • Flash Player For Multiple Users On Same Computer

While surfing. I got a message to update Flash Player. When I
did, issues began to occur for other users on my home computer. The
adminstrator could view web pages with Flash content, but no other
users could, including other adminstrators on the computer. After
looking at support documents, I uninstalled the flashplayer - then,
reinstalled using a different administrator id. Now, that id can
view Flash and no others can. I have tried changing screensavers as
suggested in another support document, but no luck. How do I get
Flash to work for all users?

It might be a permission problem in the Flash Player install folder.  Try a clean install on the original machine.
If that does not resolve your problem, can you tell what Windows version & edition you are using?
Also check the permissions of all files in
    C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash

  • OS 10.6.5 updater and flash player

knowing that 10.6.5 updater brings flash player up to the latest available, I uninstalled the version of flash player I had installed (knowing Adobe recommends that you uninstall the old one before installing a newer version). So, I uninstalled it using hte provided adobe flash player uninstaller. I then ran the 10.6.5 updater and was surprised to find that it did not install flash player.
Can I assume that, in this the case, the 10.6.5 updater will not install (or update) flash player if it does not find it already there?

I am confusted, the notes in the 10.6.5 says it updates your flash player to the latest one...

    Anisotropic Filtering
This new texture sampling filter can enhance the image quality of textures on surfaces that are at oblique viewing angles. There are two ways to enable this feature:
In AGAL, set one of the values – "anisotropic2x", "anisotropic4x", "anisotropic8x", or "anisotropic16x" to the filter option in the sampling instructions. Or call Context3D::setSamplerStateAt with the 3rd parameter "filter" being one of the values defined in Context3DTextureFilter - "ANISOTROPIC2X", "ANISOTROPIC4X", "ANISOTROPIC8X", or "ANISOTROPIC16X"
    New Stage3D "Standard" Profile
Developers can now request this high level profile when creating Context3D. Three new features are available in this profile:
Multiple render target allows to you to draw geometry to multiple outputs (up to 4) during one drawing
Floating point texture allows you to create Texture, RectangleTexture and CubeTuxture with the RGBA16F folder.
    AGAL v2 contains these improvements:
    Increased register size
    Partial derivative instructions
    Fragment depth output
    Conditional forward jump
    Notable Fixes and Enhancements:
    Multiple stability and security issues
SWF content should now work again in PowerPoint documents when using the Flash Player ActiveX control (3776857)
    Known Issues
PPAPI Debugger - Chrome incorrectly reports the installed location of the plugin in chrome:plugins
In Chrome, Flash Player can sometimes crash if playing DRM content encrypted with a rotating IV (Initialation Vector)
    About the Beta Channel

I can't speak to YouTube's internal logic, but I think that they look at your connection quality and attempt to suggest the best option for current conditions.  Given that there's a lot of stuff between your house and YouTube, transitory congestion and performance issues can arise.  When selecting the highest video quality, you're consuming more bandwidth.  If a bottleneck anywhere on the route between you and YouTube prevents the stream from coming in faster than it's playing back, it is going to stop and start as the video rebuffers.
You can try rebooting, as "if in doubt, reboot" are great words to live by.  If any of the hardware or software running on the computer ended up in a wonky state, rebooting will typically solve that.  YouTube itself provides some good stats about the available bandwidth in the "Stats for Nerds" right-click menu option.
Anyway, not all YouTube videos are encoded the same way, so having an exact link to a couple videos that demonstrate the specific problem you're experiencing would be very helpful.
    Thanks!
P.S.  I've updated the subject to provide a more useful handle for people experiencing similar issues.
