Flash Player 12 Sound problem
Just downloaded Flash player 12 and sound is distorted when playing videos through firefox. Help
I'm using Windows 8. I tried everyone from shutting down the computer for an hour to uninstalling and reloading Flash Player. Nothing worked last night so I gave up. Tried it again this morning and the sound is working correctly again . . . I guess the computer fairy visited!!! Thank you for responding to my plea but for now, all is good!

Flash Player sound problems on a 5.1 system
I don't know if i found the right topic for asking for this question, but here it goes.
I noticed that flash player has this issue with my 5.1 system, when i play music (and i mean any music, like my online radio, played through flash, or music through the site VK.com), the sound is extremely awful. Words actually can't explain it, there is no bass, and the sound, overall, seems to be of very low quality. But it's not. When the same music is played via stereo system (any), it seems to be perfect - with bass and etc.
Now i'm really confused. It's either a problem of flash, or a problem of somewhat in my system. My guess is that flash simply does not support audio output rather than 2.0. I will be really grateful if anyone will at least point me in the direction of the source of this problem; it makes my life miserable. Thank you.Is it possible to have e version of flash player like silverlight which give thepossibility to hear audio on whole 5.1 system?
I have the following system computer:

Hello!
One day I just realized that my flash player has a problem. Flash contents dont have sound on my pc anymore.
I tried everything , everything to fix it , but without any success.(I read all the resolving tricks on the internet. )
Then I reinstalled my Windows XP , I installed drivers and chipsets.
The second thing that I did was the installing of Firefox, Opera, Chrome and the latest Flash player.
So there was a clear system only with drivers and Flash player and still doesnt have sound.
Not only in browsers, youtube, anywhere on web , but nor in swf or other flash files on my computer.
I have been tried a lot of advices , settings, registery conf , etc ., but still nothing.
Theres is no problem with soundcard because I have sounds on windows.
Please help me!

Finally, sometimes these problems are caused at a lower level and not directly related to Flash Player. I recommend trying both of the links below to see how they perform. If the problem exists with both, then Flash Player is most likely not the culprit as the HTML5 video link does not use Flash Player when playing. You can verify this by right clicking the HTML5 video and looking for the words "About HTML5" at the bottom of the menu.

9 problem with Chinese languageThanks for the helpful posting. I came searching here for advice because I could not get my Flash Player 9 installation to succeed using the trouble-shooting information provided on the Adobe web site, and from experience I have come to know that my best resource in trouble-shooting is to seek the help of other Mac users.
In following your instructions I discovered that "Enable Flash" was not checked in my preferences, so that was definitely part of the problem. However, I still could not get Flash Player 9 to work, so after doing a Google search I found a posting on Version Tracker (under feedback at the bottom of this page: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/11622 ) that provided the last little bit of instruction I needed to get Flash Player 9 to function properly.
Before attempting to install Flash Player 9 I had used Adobe's uninstaller to uninstall previous versions, as instructed on the Adobe website. However, AFTER repairing my disk permissions, I needed to restart the computer and run the uninstaller again. After uninstalling I restarted once more, ran the installer and, VOILA!, finally Flash Player 9 worked as it should.

Flash Player sound quality problems
From couple days I have prolems with all materials played from web with flash player (for example: YouTube, Vimeo). Every time I watch a movie sound have strange "clicks" / noise. Something like overdrive signal. This become more audiable when in full screen mode.
I've tested MP3, FLACs, MPEG4, h.264 and other media played on my hard drive - no such issue - only video played trough flashplayer on the web.
Any idea what can I do with that? I've got latest 10.3 flash instaled. Is it possible to have e version of flash player like silverlight which give thepossibility to hear audio on whole 5.1 system?

Flash Player installation problems with Windows Embedded (WES/XPe)
I've deployed 13 HP T5740 Thin Clients at my office, each have Windows Embedded Standard (WES/XPe) and with Internet Explorer 7.
With limitations on VMWare servers and sound, users need to view webinars on their local client. When I try to install any version of Adobe Flash Player, the installation instantly fails...no reason given.
Is there a known issue with this? And is there a workaround?

Ok guys, this one is a bit more complicated than it sounds. A while back I was using a older version of Fox, I think v 15.xxx and had flash player 11 or 12. When using youtube it looked great. But now I upgraded to the latest firefox and latest flash player. When I watch vids on youtube they look real blurry and pixelated until the 720 hd kicks in. And even then it doesn't look as good and with the older flash player. I checked and my nvidia card doesn't seem to have any effect on either program. Is this a legit problem and which flash player version should I switch back to??
Hello,
Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings. (See [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems|this article]] for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).
To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:
#Go to this [http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues Adobe Flash Player Help page].
#Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page.
#Click on '''Settings''' in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
# Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel. <br/> <br/>[[Image:fpSettings1.PNG]] <br/>
# Remove the check mark from '''Enable hardware acceleration'''.
# Click '''Close''' to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
# Restart Firefox.
This [http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html Flash Player Help - Display Settings page] has more information on Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you're interested.
Does this solve the problem? Let us know. -
Flash Player SurroundSound Problem
Hy!
My problem is, that the flash player on my system doesn't
output the sound on the rear speaker and the subwoofer of my 5.1
soundsystem - only on the front speaker.
But the sound-output works on every other player on my
system. Also the speaker self test of the driver software perfectly
works.
The problem remained after a fresh installation of winXP.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me!!! It's
annoying listening to pandora.com with poor sound....

Adobe Flash Player 9
Thx ToniHello Chris, first let me thank you for taking the time to respond to my dilemma. I am using WIN7 Home Premium and IE9. It took me a long time to find out where the Flash program reside. I found them to be in folders on SysWOW64 and System32. I attempted to delete the files in the Flash folder with the intent to uninstalled Flash so that I could do a fresh install. I was not able to complete this exercise as I was unable to delete the .ocx file. It required an administrator to do this. Although I am the administrator on my system, it would not delete. There you have in a nutshell where I am with this problem. Regards. Patti

Hi! Is there any way to specify initial sound level of all flash objects at webpage (via player settings maybe)? I want it low because it is so uncomfortable when I suddenly hear loud music or voice while browsing the web. I'm using firefox. Thanks.
I'm having this issue as well. When I go to any web site and play a flash video the sound is very loud. I go into the control panel (Windows 7) and into "adjust system volume." There is a slider for firefox and flash player. The firefox slider has no affect on the volume, but the flash player slider does. The problem is that windows or flash player does not save that level. When I play another video later, I have to go in and adjust the sound level again. Why won't it save the level like to other sliders do? Anyone?

Solution for flash player crashing problem
This fix works pretty well, as all the latest versions of flash crash continuously, on almost every video.
First, download these two items:
Flash player Uninstaller
1. Flash player Uninstaller - http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/support/uninstall_flash_player.exe
Flash 10.3.183.25
1. http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
[Editors Note: I updated the link to point to the Flash Player archives page, instead of the non-Adobe site. Please, ALWAYS download Flash Player directly from Adobe to ensure you have a valid, authentic copy. Malware distributors often attempt to trick users into installing malicious files by naming them as legitimate software programs. Wherever possible, always download software from the author's site.]
Run the Uninstaller (with browsers closed).
Then run the new Installer. You should not have problems anymore.
This version also switches from full screen and back, smoothly (without freakin crashing).
So far, it is running smooth as a lamb. I have no idea what is wrong with the other versions of flash player, but it is annoying. Even the very latest version crashes.
I am back to enjoying videos again, hope you will be too. :-)Here are 4 links. I hope these are right, never looked at this data before.

The freezes, crashes, green screen, etc occor basically on any video. for ex https://vimeo.com/50512991 , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfulqRdDbsg
Basically if i am doing nothing and just let it play a freeze, crash, green screen, etc will occur sooner or later. But skipping through the video will also result in such behavior.
I have these GT220 drivers (306.23) installed already.
hardware acceleration is permanently off indeed.
Here's a list. But you know, i think i have ruled out the plugins and addons already because i also used flash on a fresh Firefox install and on a complete new profile without any plugins and addons installed.

Flash player installation problem on MAC
I have repeatedly tried to download and install Flash player v14 for my MacBook Pro and it constantly hangs at the "Retrieving Install" screen never moving past 0%. Then it times out and says the install has failed. I have also completely wiped old versions of Flash from my system (now NO Flash-enabled sites will work at all--even more frustrating).
Any clues to remedy? Thanks. The new Adobe Flash 14 installer does not work when you have an automatic proxy set. I've installed many versions of Flash on Mac without problems, but the new v.14 installer would never even start the download. (Of course the installer dmg would download, but when I ran the installer app, the download of Flash would not start, seemingly hanging at "Retrieving Installation"). I tried the uninstaller, which worked great. Then I tried installing v.13, which also worked fine. But I only got v.14 to install after I ... went to System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Proxies and de-selected Automatic Proxy Configuration. Be sure to make a note of your Automatic Proxy URL, because after installing Flash and going back to the network Preference, I saw that the Automatic Proxy Configuration field was blank. But when I re-entered my APC URL, and clicked to select APC, all was well and I had flash installed while still able to browse external web sites when behind my companies firewall.

Is there a fix for a Flash Player compatibility problem?.
My computer is a imac g4 1.25 Ghz 17 inch flat panel running OS X 10.4.11 and can no longer view anything on the internet that uses the newest version of flash player. I have tried to upgrade to that version but it won't work on my computer. When I try to download it I get this message "Devices with powerpc processors are no longer supported." Is there a fix for this?
You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version, 10.2.152.25, 10.3.x beta, or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.0.1.152 is for Lion.
* Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC Macs, you need to go here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. The first one on the list, Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
(If you are running a PPC Mac with Flash Player 10.1.102.64 and are having problems with watching videos on FaceBook or other sites, contributor Texas Mac Man suggests the following solution which fools the site into thinking that you are running the latest version:)
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.
It works for me. -
Flash Player having problems while playing online games on OS X Mavericks
i use mbp mid 2010 with os x mavericks 10.9.2 and while playing online games, it usually happens some freezes and delays. when i play same game with same browser on windows 7(bootcamp) there is no freeze and delay. i have made lots of search about this and made some optimizations on flash player settings but the problem continues. i use both chrome and firefox on both mavericks and win7 (bootcamp) but having the same problems on mavericks every time. the game is very slow with freeze and delays on mavericks. will adobe make a real effective upgrade about flash player for macs.
Hmmm... Win 7 will run faster than Mavericks with 8Gb. Even my Vm of 7 runs faster once I get it past all the startup processes.
It may or may not be a connectivity problen since Windows uses a different protocol, even though it's on the same hardware. Usually though, what affects OS X will affect BootCamp too.
