Flash player 14, Internet Explorer 11 and Windows 7 (x64)

It seems impossible to allow flash to run.
Uninstall of version 14 and reinstalling Flash 13 solves the problem (but this isn't desirable).
Need working Flash !
Any suggestions?

Sorry but there seems to be blocks for Flash 13 too.
Probably there is something in the latest update from Microsoft that causes this.

  • Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer 11 (Windows 8.1)

    Hello
I am having a problem with Flash in IE 11 / Win 8.1.  I understand it is embedded.  But I keep getting the window at the bottom of the screen saying this webpage wants to run the following add-on 'Adobe Flash Player' from 'Microsoft Windows Third Party Application Component....'   I click allow and the message keeps coming back.   On top of this, Flash will not work.
I have a feeling there is something corrupted.  I have tried to download an update (kb3004150) and it says I already have this on my system.  I also have tried to install it manually using the install_flash_player_ax.exe file, but to no avail.
What do I need to do to fix this and why aren't there other options on Adobe's site?
    Thank you!!!

Adjusting the ActiveX Filtering settings should help you resolve those "Do you want to allow Flash Player" prompts:
Use ActiveX filtering - Windows Help
Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.
You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11
If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative.

  • Solution center suddenly ask for enabling Adobe Flash player for internet explorer for scanning

Solution center suddenly ask for enabling Adobe Flash player for internet explorer for scanning. However, flash player is installed and enabled, but HP Solution center keeps asking for enabling and doesn't let me scan.
    Any suggestion?

Hello there! Welcome to the forums @yuvalyanai
I read about the issue you are having with scanning, as you are seeing a message to enable Adobe Flash player.
To begin, I would like to know some more information:
Which operating system you are running and which printer you are working with?
How Do I Find My Model Number?
Which Windows Operating System am I running?
    Can you make copies successfully?
Can you print from your computer?
Have you tried updated Adobe Flash player?
Can you scan successfully from Microsoft Paint?
How is your printer connected to your PC, wireless, ethernet or USB?
In the meantime, try resetting the printer:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
I hope to hear from you, have a wonderful weekend

  • Fix for Flash Player in Internet Explorer Issue

I've seen quite a few people with this issue and they all
seem to have issues finding the fix...I never found a 100% solution
on Adobe's site, but I found some directions that finally worked.
Basically, if Flash Player refuses to work in Internet
Explorer for you (but works in other browsers if you've tried) then
    follow the steps available at
    Fix
Flash Player in Internet Explorer .
It's basically a mashup of various directions available on
Adobe & Microsoft's websites with links to all the files that
you will need to download. Hopefully Adobe can use the list to
    create a fix that works.

    Hopefully this FAQ will help:

  • Flash Player for Internet Explorer has to be reinstalled

Every time I'm booting my computer, Flash Player for Internet Explorer has to be installed. I'm using Win7, 64 bits. Without reinstalling, Real Player will not play offline. However, when accessing YouTube with IE, it plays the video without reinstalling. Computers are fun!

You need to close all iexplore.exe processes; use the Task Manager's Processes tab.

  • Problems with flash player through internet explorer on MacBook

    Here is the problem:
I downloaded internet explorer for mac to use it in some websites that requires this browsers. when I opened the site a pop-up message came out saying that I need flash player plug in so I went to that website of adobe that was suggested using internet explorer but it freezed. so I went to the adobe website and I used Safari this time and I downloaded the flash player installer . I installed it & it was successfull . I went back to use the internet explorer to the earlier website that requires internet explorer and I got the same plug-in required window. I'm new to mac I don't know what to do. help me please.
I have got MacBook Mac OSX 10.6.4

IE for Mac hasn't been supported by microsoft for 7 years. I'm surprised that it works at all. There's probably a conflict between the flash and the browser.
A better way to run IE may be installing windows via crossover, boot camp or vm on your MacBook.

  • Enabling Flash Player in Internet Explorer

If you’re having problems viewing Flash content on the Web using Internet Explorer 9 or higher, even though you’re sure Flash Player is installed, it may be because the Flash Player Add-on has been disabled (turned off) in your browser settings.
To enable Flash Player, please follow the steps outlined below:
Please click here for an HTML5 version of this video: YouTube HTML5 HD Link
Launch Internet Explorer and navigate to http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html
If you see an animation playing, then Flash Player is enabled.
If you don’t see an animation playing, then Flash Player is not enabled. In that case, click on the Tools icon in the top right corner of Internet Explorer. (The icon looks like a cogwheel.)
In the drop-down menu which appears, click Manage Add-Ons.
In the dialog which appears, select Toolbars and Extensions.
In the list of Add-ons, look for “Shockwave Flash Object” – which is another name for Flash Player.
In the Status column, check to see whether Shockwave Flash Object is Disabled. If it is, click the row for Shockwave Flash Object to highlight it.
In the bottom right corner of the Manage Add-ons dialog, click the Enable button.
    Close the Manage Add-ons dialog.
Click Refresh to reload the webpage. If you see the animation playing this time, then Flash Player has been successfully enabled.
If you continue to encounter problems viewing Flash content after completing these steps, please see our FAQ on ActiveX filtering.
    ActiveX Filtering in Internet Explorer

Me too. Thanks a million, Chris. Without you, I would go crazy pulling my hair off.
I tried everything I possible could, you name it, I did it, but I was kept advised to download
and install the latest flash version. The next step I would try to uninstall IE9 and re-install IE8,
because I did not have such an issue when I was using IE8. If this fails, I would even try to
buy a new computer. Finally, I came across this forum and find your answer.
I follow your instructions, and finally I DID IT. I can see all videos now.
Many many thanks to you Chris. You save me a lot of work and money.

  • Reinstalling flash player on Internet Explorer 10 (in Windows 8)?

I'm not sure what caused it, but for the last several months, the flash player just hasn't been working. After looking around and following all the steps (add-on already enabled, active X filtering already not on, already have lastest versions of Flash Player and Explorer 10 and video driver and windows updates), I decided to just uninstall Flash Player and then reinstall it, but now I'm at a dead end since the download/install pages keep telling me it's already pre-installed in Windows 8 apparenlty oblivious to the possibility of it having been post-uninstalled.

You cannot uninstall the ActiveX plug-in for IE in Windows 8 without manually removing a specific Windows Update KB Patch, and two individual registry keys. THAT'S why it still says it's installed... because it is. If you removed anything, it was the Standard Flash Player Plug-in that Firefox, Opera or Safri would use if you have any of them installed.
You probably need to repair IE: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378

Após atualização automatica do Internet Explorer 11 o flash player deixou de funcionar nalguns sites, inclusive um informa-me para instalar o flash player. Os mesmos sites no google chrome funcionam corretamente.

Chrome has it's own Flash Player plugin ("PepperFlash") which functions independently of the AcitveX plugin in IE. Things you set in IE have no impact on it.
